Hi there, dear mods! EN player here! I’m aiming for my first clear on a Hard Exam, and I think the Fire Exam is my best shot for it!

My main issue is that I feel like I’m too strong for Normal (can clear in 2 turns sometimes) but too weak for Hard (die at around turn 4). I want to make sure this team is capable of beating Hard Fire Basic Exams. I’ve found a lot of good explanation on Defense Exams here, but not much about Basic Exams, so maybe I’m just overthinking.

(Gonna use a shorthand to save space, hopefully not too confusing)

Ruggie has M1L9, M2L7, Leona10, Jack10, Azul7.

Azul has M1L3, M2L10, Riddle6, Jade10, Idia1.

Jade has M1L5, M2L9, Trey1, Azul8, Floyd10.

I just got Jack (Beans event) and Riddle (Used a SR key) so they aren’t trained.

Other possible noteables for Fire Exam:

Dorm!Deuce has M1L3, M2L5, Riddle3, Ace5, Jamil1.

Dorm!Floyd has M1L1, M2L5, Azul10, Jade10, Kalim1.

Uniform!Rook has M1L7, M2L1, Vil5.

Hello, guppy~

To beat Hard mode you need either high damage (Attack cards and maxed magic) or high HP to survive all 5 turns, while still dealing more damage than the enemy.

Your current HP should be something like 46,077 and overall POW is only 19,765. So you can’t end the battle on T4, nor T5 1st hit, forcing you to use Jack’s Flora magic.

You’re on the right track with Dorm Azul and Dorm Jade in team, but here are some advices for you:

Level up Robe Riddle, he’s a defense SR and will help increasing your HP and chances of survival.

Replace Beans Jack with Lab Floyd (Water/Cosmic), you keep 2 DUOs and gets rid of element disadvantage.

Optional: Replace Dorm Ruggie with Lab Trey (Water/Fire)and level up Dorm Jade's POW buddy for an additional boost
