heres my bitching post sorry
the main thing i didnt like was how they treated grif's character. he was so angry and i feel like some of his character got leeched out to simmons. for a season that tried to call back so much to the original, that even tried to even out the great destroyer plotline from BGC that didn't make any sense, i wish they handled grif's character with more care. like a red team member manipulating sarge to do what they want is GRIF'S mo, not simmons, and i wish grif had been the one to rally and convince sarge to come help caboose instead of simmons. i feel like the grimmons breakup was the emotional scene that hit the least for me i didnt cry about it i only started crying when the credits rolled, and thats because grif felt pretty ooc for me. which sucks as a grifhead but what can you do
similarly theres kind of a weird abuse apologia thing going on where its like. im fine with how sarge treats grif because it's so clearly like water off a duck's back and grif just manipulates sarge to get his way and rolls his eyes at him and doesnt give a fuck throguhout seasons 1-10, i can take it just as a fictionalized comedy duo that isn't taking itself seriously and grif isn't actually 1:1 like a soldier being abused by his superior irl. and then shisno had the problem of making grif go "actually this really hurts my self esteem and makes me feel bad" and makes you retroactively view their dynamic in a different light. this isnt as bad as shisno, but having sarge say "i was only hard on you because i wanted to push you to be better" made me like :/ because. yknow. if we're taking it seriously, the fact that sarge was "psuhing" grif doesnt make his treatment okay. what makes his treatment okay is that theyre wacky halo man characters and obviosuly there has to be a crazy sargeant character and its not really bothering grif that much. but :/ very minor but i thoguht id mention it
um um um. tex coming back was incredible and made me scream i knew she was gonna come back i was spoiled but i didnt expect how theyd do it. really good. they got me again with the fucking chex at the end of course they did!!!!!!!!
oh right biching. um. what the fuck was going on with wash honestly LMAO like him having his fuckign DID and talkign about his memory issues was completely made for me but his role in this season was so funny and strange WHY DOES HE HAVE A DOC TULPA OH MY GODDDD. like in my ideal world of a final season it absoltuely would have had a more filled out cast and wash and carolina woul dhave been part of the reds and blues the whole time because i want this to be my sitcom where everyone is friends forever but like. I do understand why burnie wanted to take down the cast to sarge/grif/simmons/caboose as the original four founders (rip joel LMAO).
also the stuff with tucker was so scary !!! ahhhHhh why did they send him to time prison for 10 years AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!
idk ill also update this post with stuff that i loved it was really funny and i did like it overall, i need to watch it again i was tipsy/drunk for most of it and also talking about it irl so i missed some bits that my friends went crazy for and i need to watch the commentary. its not all bitching thats just waht sticks in my mind easier. god that campfire scene with the barenaked ladies song i was CRYINGGGG. it obviously felt short/rushed or whatever but like. ugh. its just a potential possible future anyways you guys KNOW in my head all the reds and blues are together on chorus forever and ever always doing their bits. i really am just glad we got more of it to watch together and got to get on burnie's wild ride one last time. thank you

Ellie x fem reader
Info: While on patrol, Reader and Ellie come across a movie theater, something they’ve only heard about in the comics, they’re not going to miss the opportunity to explore it.
Warnings: Smut, 18+ only

•
“Mmm, Mmm, Yea’.. You hummed the words of a song you’ve been listening to on repeat while kneeing down every once in awhile to rip flowers from the ground, trying to gather enough for your curious girlfriend, Ellie.
The both of you were in the hot summer sun on patrol. Ellie was 100% faithful to her belief that Summer was the worst time to be out and about killing infected. You preferred spring, the rain & and warmth gave you some sort of comfort despite the situation.
Ellie and you were walking a giant field of tall grass & hidden flowers, Ellie with a map in her hand and you with a ready-to-shoot shotgun in yours.
“You know what i’ve never told you?” You say to Ellie, smiling and looking at her thigh.
“What is it.?” She says with a smile back, getting closer and closer to your face.
“I love that holster there.” you whispered.
Ellie rolls her eyes and laughs, kissing your forehead like she always did.
“Come on, only a few places left to clear out and we can talk more about it back at home.”
Ellie never liked being distracted, sometimes you just couldn’t help but get a little distracted while on patrol. You had Ellie wrapped around your finger though, and she would literally have to stop herself from getting distracted as well.
“Ugh fine. Where to next?” You asked as she fumbled with the map.
“Mmmm….I think we’re going to the movies.”
You gasp. “The movies, like the theater? Remember that one comic?……”
“Yes. Yes, I remember. But we’re only going to go in there and kill infected, okay?”
“God Ellie you never used to be so …good. Why can’t we have a little fun just like in the comic?” You walked up behind her, hugging her waist and nibbling at her ear.
She blushed and giggled at the feeling of you there.
“Okay. Okay. Just like in the comic.”
Time had passed and the two of you finally arrived at the old and practically falling apart movie theater. Ellie searched her backpack for her gun. The two of you begin making your way in slowly and quietly.
Inside, there were old stations for purchasing tickets, grabbing candy and popcorn. You wondered what could’ve gone down here and why you felt such a huge wave of nostalgia.
The old movie posters on the wall, and the long hall to your theater seemed so fun to you. But now there were dead bodies and infected scattered over the building. Not too crazy since there were no spores but you could still feel them. So could Ellie.
You had your shotgun ready for anything as You followed behind Ellie. The two of stood quietly peaking your head in the hallway of theater rooms looking for any infected. It wasn’t until you heard loud breathing, running and sounds of a runner behind you.
“Babe watch out!” Ellie yelled as you turned around and immediately shot the runner.
Breathless you say, “I don’t know why we still get shocked when we’re on patrol.”
“Yea well, better get that gun ready, I can hear them from inside the theaters.”
You took a deep breath as you and Ellie stood beside each other watching the small horde of runners running to you two.
Only the sound of gunshots filled the theater. At some point, your shotgun ran out and you had to quickly detach your bat from yourself. You began beating them one by one, blood splattering on you and Ellie and the floor of the theater.
And Voilà! They were gone for now.
“I think we deserved this break.” Ellie nodded in agreement, the two of you still armed, walked down the long hall and picked a theater.
It was incredibly dark but luckily the embarrassingly huge flashlights Joel gifted the both of you came in handy.
“Up there!” You say. The stairs led the both of you to the small room where the film would be playing through.
“None of this stuff works.” Ellie says looking around for a way to play any movie. “I mean it’s been years since it’s all been used, you know?”
“Aha!”
“What?” Ellie looks over to you.
“I found a cute little radio.”
“Does it work?”
“…Nope.”
Ellie grabbed your hands.
“Is it crazy that sometimes I wish we were together before the outbreak? I probably would’ve gave you everything.”
It was rare for Ellie to be completely open about her feelings and you knew every time she was, it was the truth. You sat on the little desk in the room, pulling her close and wrapping your legs around her, resting your head in her neck. She made you feel so safe.
“No..it’s not crazy. I think everyone wishes this outbreak never happened- even if we weren’t even alive yet.” Your voice was muffled. Her hands caressed your waist as she pulled away and rested her nose onto yours. You press a soft kiss onto her lips but didn’t get the chance to pull away longer than a second. Ellie’s hands cupped your face as she basically devoured your lips. She was breathless and it seemed like she was starving for you. Something Ellie never liked doing— getting it on while on patrol.
Doesn’t mean it never happens but she would rather be with you at home, cuddled up in bed and in privacy. Not while trying to kill infected.
Ellie backed away for a moment to pull down her faded black jeans, revealing her beautiful thighs in her short-shorts. God, you loved the view.
You get up, walking slowly over to her and begin caressing her all over. She helps you undress and you do the same. Her boobs do a soft little bounce as you tug off her sports bra. Your mouth immediately attaches to her nipple, licking and sucking all over leaving her boobs slightly coated in your spit.
You begin kissing slowly downwards as you reach to her shorts, looking up at her for permission, she places her hand on your head basically saying yes. Slowly, you begin sliding down her shorts, revealing the beauty and warmth she possessed.
You kiss her inner thighs, never wanting to stop and you end up right where you want to be. Licking and nibbling at her skin before reaching her clit, it was your favorite. Her moans filling the room and seeing her try to find anything to grab onto for support.
She would barely let you go down on her but you could tell by how quickly it’s all going that she was the one that desperately needed you today.
You loved licking her clean and seeing yourself glow and have some of her covering your chin and lips. She helped you get up off your knees. She wasn’t done and you knew she wouldn’t let you go without getting something in return.
Ellie started to slide her jeans back on and you attempted to do the same.
“No.” She said stopping you from putting on your jeans. “I want it all off. I’ll lay down.”
You watched her as she laid her flannel out on the floor, lied down and gestured her hand for you to come near.
“Sit on my face.”
You blushed and felt the ache down there. You did as you were told and hovered over Ellie’s face, without warning she had her hands wrapped around you, holding you as close as possible to her tongue.
She ate you out as fast as she wanted and was not stopping. At some point, you could feel tears in your eyes with the way her tongue was moving inside of you. Your toes curling and body dripping loads of sweat. This was you in your favorite form of yourself.
Soon enough, her grip became weaker which allowed you to jump off of her face without dripping too much on her. You fell over to the side and laid there for a minute. Ellie sat up and looked at you laughing.
“Think you’re good to walk back?” She asked you, grabbing and caressing your hand.
“I would be in a minute.”
“So was it like the comic?”
“Kind of, too bad we couldn’t slow dance to anything.”
Ellie fixed herself and became your big spoon while the two of you relaxed before heading back home.
Patrol always ended in two ways. Either you two actually got stuff done and get home to have a large feast in bed or the two of you stay on patrol longer than usual, recovering from amazing sex.

Licensing of the Monsters: How Pokémon Ignited An Anime Arms Race
"Hey, what do ya' got there? A rabbit?" Batman asks his mentor, staring at a video of Pikachu on a massive underground computer screen.
"It's a Pokémon," Bruce Wayne replies.
Five seconds later, Batman is shocked so hard by the tiny yellow creature that he ends up flying headfirst through another computer monitor (Using a clip from the "Blackout" episode of Batman Beyond, an episode that would've aired for the first time just days earlier.) It doesn't make much physical sense, but this bizarre 1999 crossover promo did establish two things: 1) Pokémon was coming to Kids' WB, and 2) Pokémon was important. So important that Batman actually took time away from obsessing over crime and vengeance to care about it.
Echoing a 1997 promo where the comedic Bugs Bunny let us in on the "secret" that the serious, dark Batman was coming to Kids' WB, it almost seems like a passing of the torch. Kids' WB, up until then, was a programming service chock full of classic Warner Bros. cartoon properties like Bugs, Daffy, Pinky, Brain, and various members of the Justice League — all animated Americana.
Pokémon wasn't a huge risk as the 4Kids Entertainment dub of the show had done well in broadcast syndication, they had plenty of episodes to work with (sometimes airing three in a row), and it was based on a game series that was already a worldwide smash hit.
But the show was ... different.
And it would end up changing cartoons as we knew them.
Part 1: Batman Jumps Ship
It's hard to think of a better scenario when it comes to appealing to kids than the one Fox Kids had with Batman: The Animated Series. Debuting in September 1992 and airing on weekdays just after school let out, it received immediate acclaim due to its moody, beautiful animation and storytelling that didn't talk down to anyone. Little kids could get into Batman throwing crooks around and adults could marvel at plots like the one where a former child actress with a medical condition that keeps her from aging takes her former co-stars hostage and ends up holding a gun, hallucinating, and sobbing into Batman's arms.
It did so well that Fox tried to air it on prime-time Sundays and though this was short-lived — turns out, Batman was no match for Ed Bradley on CBS's 60 Minutes — it solidified the show as "cool." This was a show that could hang with the big boys. You couldn't say the same of something like Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.
And then, in 1997, it was gone. A five-year contract ran out and Batman leapt completely to Kids' WB, where a continuation of the show (the often even grimmer The New Batman Adventures) aired later that year. There, it joined Superman: The Animated Series in a one-two punch of programming called The New Batman/Superman Adventures. When it came to Kids' WB, competitors not only had to deal with the Merry Melodies crowd, they now had to face the World's Finest Heroes.
This, along with a departing Animaniacs, left Fox Kids with a gap in flagship programming. Sure it had various incarnations of the Power Rangers (which was still holding strong) and Spider-Man, but if you look back on 1998 programming, little of it would survive the year. Silver Surfer? Gone by May. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation? Out by December. Casper? Dead in October. By May of 1999, Warner Media would announce record ratings thanks to Pokémon, while its competitors, including the Disney-led ABC, Fox, and even Nickelodeon, would suffer losses in the Saturday morning area. Pokemon would have the best ever series premiere numbers for Kids' WB at the time.
A chunk of that has to do with 4Kids Entertainment's (or to be more specific, 4Kids Productions) handling of the show. Again, Pokémon was a proven concept. If you love monsters, adventure, and collecting things, you'll probably find something to enjoy in the franchise. But the dub was particularly strong. For years, dubbing was seen as an inherently laughable thing in America, full of exasperated voice actors trying desperately to convince you that they weren't portraying three different characters, and lips that didn't match the dialogue. Entire Japanese series were reduced to laughing stocks in the U.S. because why focus on the lovingly created miniatures and top-notch tokusatsu action in Godzilla if one of the actors sounds weird?
But while Pokémon wasn't the first great dub, it was a remarkably underrated one. Veronica Taylor's work as Ash Ketchum was relatable, funny, and consistent. And Racheal Lillis, Eric Stuart, and Maddie Blaustein's turns as Team Rocket's Jessie, James, and Meowth gave us villains that could've easily been the most repetitive parts of the show — you can only try to capture Pikachu so many times before you should logically find a second hobby — but instead were one of the most entertaining aspects.
Aside from some easily meme-able bits — Brock's drying pan and jelly donuts, for example — Pokemon became a seamless addition to the Kids' WB lineup and would end up giving many fans a lifelong love of anime. And it was great for 4Kids, too, as in 2000, they would be number one on Fortune's 100 Fastest-Growing Companies.
Fox Kids wanted an answer to this. And it would soon find one.
Well, two.
Part 2: Monsters Rule
Saban Entertainment was no stranger to Fox Kids. They'd been the one to adapt Toei's Super Sentai into The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers for American and international audiences, creating an unexpected sensation that combined monsters and martial arts. And in 1999, they nabbed Digimon Adventure, a series about kids that gain "digital" monster partners when transported to a "digital world," which had begun airing earlier that year in Japan. Based on a fighting virtual pet that had already been around for a few years, Digimon was a natural fit for an anime series and also a natural fit for a climate that was desperately trying to find the next Pokémon.
Renamed Digimon: Digital Monsters, it premiered in August of 1999. Of course, accusations followed that it was a Pokémon rip-off, considering that they were both about befriending terrifying laser critters, but they offered fairly different things. While Pokémon was more episodic, Digimon gave viewers a more Dragon Ball Z-esque experience (they were both Toei productions, too) with the titular monsters evolving and gaining "power-ups" due to fighting increasingly powerful villains.
Almost two months later, Monster Rancher would join the Fox Kids lineup, airing on Saturdays at 8:30 AM after Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century (a Fox Kids lost relic if there ever was one). Together, Monster Rancher and Digimon would cover the programming block with monster action, sometimes airing twice each. Meanwhile, Pokémon would do the same for Kids' WB, and if you look at their Saturday morning schedules from 1999 and 2000, it appears they just shoved Pikachu in whenever possible.
Looking back on Monster Rancher is always odd, though, because it's so specifically trapped in the time period where it originated. The video games used metadata from readable discs to create new monsters for the player, meaning that as soon as people gained the ability to download or stream media online without having to travel to their local Circuit City, the game would look absolutely archaic in comparison to its peers.
Monster Rancher is a very fun show based on some very fun games, and the dynamic array of personalities and their particular squabbles in the core group actually reminds me a lot of One Piece. But even the show itself deals with reviving monsters on giant stone discs — a prehistoric-looking adaptation of a video game gimmick that would, a decade later, appear prehistoric itself.
The Monster War was waged across 2000 and 2001. And though it appears Pokémon was the clear winner — in 2020, it's the most popular franchise with the widest reach, even if Digimon does produce some stellar shows and movies — the ratings tell a different story. In the May sweeps of 2000, Pokémon (and Kids' WB) took the prize among kids 6-11, but in the end, Fox Kids would score a victory of a 3.1 rating to Kids' WB's 3.0 (the first sweeps win since 1997, the year that Batman left.)
Early the following year, Fox Kids would score again, narrowly beating Pokémon on Saturday morning in the same timeslot and even coming ahead of properties like X-Men. And what would propel this February 10th victory? The first appearance of BlackWarGreymon, the Shadow the Hedgehog to WarGreymon's Sonic.
However, Pokémon would still help create ratings records for Kids' WB, even though late 2000/early 2001 saw a slide that would often cede dominance to Nickelodeon. Jed Patrick, who was president of The WB at the time said: "I didn't think Pokémon would fall off as much as it did ... every fire cools down a little, but that doesn't mean it doesn't stay hot."
Even though, in retrospect, claims that "Pokemania" had died seem a little ridiculous — the latest games, Pokémon Sword and Shield, just became the highest-selling entries in seventeen years — big changes were ahead.
Part 3: It's Time To Duel ... Or Not
In early 2001, Joel Andryc, executive VP of kids' programming and development for Fox Kids, was looking for a "Digimon companion series to create an hour-long anime block." He felt they were too reliant on Digimon, as they were airing it three times in a single morning. Likely not coincidentally, that summer Fox Kids Fridays were dubbed "anime invasion," advertising Flint The Time Detective, Dinozaurs, Escaflowne, and Digimon. In one commercial, a single quote zips across the bottom of the screen: "Anime Rocks!" Nicole, TX
That it does, Nicole from Texas.
Meanwhile, 4Kids Entertainment would provide Kids' WB with another monster show: Yu-Gi-Oh! Known as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters in Japan, this anime adaptation absconded from retelling the stories found in the early chapters of the manga — which were mostly devoted to Yugi running into jerks, only to have his Egyptian spirit "alter ego" deal karmic retribution on them — and instead focused on the parts that involved the cool monster fights. So basically the parts that were the most like Pokémon.
But how would this be received? In 2000, Canadian studio Nelvana had licensed the anime Cardcaptor Sakura and turned it simply into Cardcaptors — an extremely edited version that removed many important relationships and plotlines and tried to streamline the show into a pseudo-Pokémon story. It's gone down in history as one of the most questionable dubs ever, and never really made a splash on Kids' WB. So they wouldn't want a repeat of that.
But would kids be into a card game? The cards did summon monsters, but in Pokémon and Digimon, the monsters are just there, moving around and not relegated to a glorified checkers board arena. It turned out, yes, kids would be REALLY into that. Yu-Gi-Oh! debuted at number one in multiple demographics in September 2001, and would remain a steady part of its lineup for years to come.
And how did Fox Kids respond? Did the "anime invasion" work out? Well, sort of, but not in the way they were hoping.
In 2001, due to diminishing ratings and audiences, Fox Kids Worldwide (along with Fox Family Worldwide) were sold to The Walt Disney Company. By November 7th, they'd canceled their weekly afternoon blocks, and the next year, they'd end up selling their entire Saturday morning block to a company that had provided their rivals with the very same TV shows that aided in sinking them: 4Kids Entertainment. The final show to premiere on the original Fox Kids was Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension, a live action series that stood beside Alienators: Evolution Continues (a cartoon sequel to the mediocre 2001 comedy Evolution) and the underrated Medabots as the block's last gasp.
Renamed FoxBox in late 2002 (and later 4KidsTV in 2005), the 4Kids run schedule would, over the years, include anime like Kirby! Right Back At Ya!, Ultimate Muscle, Fighting Foodons, Sonic X, Shaman King, and eventually, in 2004, the infamous One Piece dub. The first Saturday of the new FoxBox lineup would also outdo the previous Saturday's Fox Kids lineup. Disney would acquire the rights to Digimon and it showed up on ABC Family in late 2001 (eighteen years later, a reboot of the original series would air, which can be watched on Crunchyroll).
Eventually, in 2007, the Monster War would come full circle. 4Kids Entertainment announced they would be taking over the Kids' WB Saturday morning block entirely, renaming it the "CW4KIDS," as The CW had been born after UPN and The WB had ceased to be. Pokémon was long gone by this point, having been dropped by Kids' WB in 2006, and was now overseen by The Pokémon Company International on Cartoon Network.
"We wish Pokémon USA much success going forward," the CEO of 4Kids Entertainment said. Later sued over "illegal agreements" regarding the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, the company would eventually file for bankruptcy in 2016. Pokémon Journeys, the latest installment in the franchise, launches on Netflix on June 12th.

Nikola Jokic is playing like the NBA MVP right now

The Nuggets star keeps getting better.
There are only a few universal truths in the modern NBA. Stephen Curry as the greatest shooter ever is an easy one, a distinction so obvious it no longer requires real debate. Nikola Jokic’s passing skill as a center has reached a similar level. With apologies to Bill Walton, Wes Unseld, Kevin Love and others, Jokic established himself as the greatest passing big man in history well before the start of this season.
Jokic has been considered one of the very best players in the league for a couple years now, but it’s important to remember he’s still only 25 years old. His game seemed to reach new heights during Denver’s inspired run to the Western Conference Finals last season after coming back from 3-1 series deficits against the Utah Jazz and heavily favored Los Angeles Clippers in the bubble. At the start of the new season, it appears Jokic is leveling up again.
If the NBA handed out its MVP award right now, Denver’s center would have a compelling case. He’s averaging a career-high in points, assists, and rebounds, all while scoring more efficiently than ever before. The Nuggets are only 9-7 to start the season, currently the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference, but their slow-ish start hasn’t been Jokic’s fault.
Here’s how and why Jokic has been perhaps the NBA’s most impressive player so far.
Jokic is fully tapping into his creation ability
How does the best passing big man of all-time become even more impactful as a playmaker? By upping his usage, turning up his aggression and creativity, and daring opponents to try to stop it at their own risk.
The Nuggets are running mostly everything through Jokic this season. His usage rate is currently at 29.1 percent, a new career-high and up from 26.6 percent last season. An increase in opportunity has led to Jokic becoming even more emboldened with the types of passes he feels comfortable throwing.
Maybe we should have saw it coming from the moment he threw a blind pass over his head in the playoffs last year. Jokic is throwing some wild passes this season. Like this one:
Jokic threading the needle pic.twitter.com/RjSVb0ZlEe
— NBA on ESPN (@ESPNNBA) January 6, 2021
And this one:
Stope me if you've heard this before: Nikola Jokic makes this pass look 30x easier than it actually is. pic.twitter.com/8MkyjEPPpv
— Orange is the New Openly Black (@NekiasNBA) January 20, 2021
And this one:
This is what I was talking about. I knew the ball came out of Jokic's hands before he threw it to Harris in the corner. Also one of the best example of #waterpoloJokic I've ever seen. pic.twitter.com/BxZUyPXwAN
— Mike Singer (@msinger) January 18, 2021
More than a quarter of the way through the season, Jokic is second in the NBA in assists at 9.7 per game, edged out by James Harden but in front of Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Chris Paul, and others. His assist percentage has increased from 35 percent last season 44.7 percent this season, which trails only Doncic. Only Domantas Sabonis is averaging more passes made per game than Jokic (76 per game), and he’s being fourth in points created off assists behind guards Russell Westbrook, Doncic, and Harden.
With Jokic as their hub, the Nuggets have the third best offense in the NBA. There is simply no other big man in the world capable of mastering playmaking duties like Jokic has. No other center in the league is averaging more than the 4.3 assists per game from Karl-Anthony Towns. Jokic is legitimately lapping his peers in terms of his passing acumen.
Jokic is scoring more efficiently than ever, too
Jokic has averaged 20 points per game just once beforre, when he put up 20.1 points in the 2018-19 season. This year’s he’s averaging 25.8 points per game and he’s doing it on the best scoring efficiency of his career.
Jokic’s passing numbers are up in part because teams have to respect his scoring even more. He is one of the very best post scorers in the game, a 285-pound behemoth in a league that’s constantly downsizing. Jokic has logged 102 possessions in the post thus far, and is averaging .951 points per possessions on those opportunities, per Synergy Sports. While that only ranks in the 64th percentile, almost everyone in front of him has a fraction of as many opportunities. Only fellow MVP candidate Joel Embiid can match his combination of volume of efficiency down low.
Kamentzky has no chance against Jokic in the post and CP has to be start cheating over for help just to discourage Jokic from the spin. pic.twitter.com/L8EIwzPHhs
— Mo Dakhil (@MoDakhil_NBA) January 24, 2021
Jokic is simply too big and too skilled to single cover in the post. When teams send a double at him, they’re leaving someone open for the greatest passing big man ever.
This is too easy for Jokic.
youtube
Jokic is making 60.7 percent of his two-point shots right now. His newfound aggression has also helped him get to the foul line more than ever. His free throw rate of 34.3 percent is a career high, and he remains a great free throw shooter at 83.3 percent from the foul line. To put that in perspective, Michael Jordan was an 83.5 percent free throw shooter for his career.
Jokic is also growing more and more comfortable letting it rip from three. While his three-point rate has dropped slightly this year, the attempts he is taking are ones he’s comfortable attempting. Jokic is hitting 35.3 percent of his threes, up from 31.4 and 30.7 each of the last two seasons, respectively.
Put it all together and Jokic has a 63.9 true shooting percentage that ties his career-high. Only Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and Embiid can match Jokic’s scoring efficiency at his same level of usage.
Jokic is leading the league in almost every ‘all-in-one’ stat
Pick a metric that captures value in one number and there’s a good chance Jokic is tops in the NBA right now. Here are a few:
Jokic is No. 1 in wins above replacement, according to FiveThirtyEight’s RAPTOR metric
Jokic is tops in estimated plus minus by a significant margin
Jokic leads the league in box score plus-minus, win shares, and value over replacement player, according to basketball-reference
If you’re more familiar with a stat like PER, Jokic is at the top of the league in that one, too.
The Nuggets still have plenty of room for improvement around Jokic
While Denver begins the week in the middle of the Western Conference playoff picture, it still feels like their start has been a little underwhelming. There are plenty of reasons for it. You can point to the lack of versatile wings on the roster, the absence of Michael Porter Jr. due to Covid-19, or the inability of Jamal Murray to maintain his level of play from the bubble.
The Nuggets have still never put a bunch of great shooters on the floor next to Jokic. The team is No. 19 in three-point rate on the season, and No. 12 in percentage. Murray is only hitting 33.3 percent of his threes, and Gary Harris is making just 31.7 percent of his threes. When you have arguably the best post scorer in the league who doubles as an unprecedented passer for his position, it stands it reason that dotting the perimeter with knockdown shooters could really boost the offense.
Jokic’s actual chances of winning MVP this season likely hinge on Denver’s record. Right now, the Nuggets are 3.5 games behind the Lakers and Clippers for the top seed. Utah and Portland remain in front of them in the standings as well. There haven’t been many true centers to win MVP in the last two decades, but Jokic and Embiid are the two most deserving candidates so far.
Jokic was already an elite player before this season. What he’s showing right now is that he’s still getting better.

The 19440 World MOVIE inspired many Americans to buy their first television, and in 1948 the popular Texaco Star Theater radio moved to become the first weekly television variety show that hosted Milton Berle and earned the name “Mr Television” demonstrated The medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment that could attract advertisers. ❍❍❍ formats and genres ❍❍❍
See also: List of genres § Film and television formats and genres TV shows are more diverse than most other media due to the variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show can be fictional (as in comedies and dramas) or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It can be current (as in the case of a local news program and some television films) or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional films). They can be educational or educational in the first place, or entertaining, as is the case with situation comedies and game shows. [Citation required] A drama program usually consists of a series of actors who play characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 1980s, shows (with the exception of soap opera series) generally remained static without storylines, and the main characters and premise barely changed. [Citation required] If the characters’ lives changed a bit during the episode, it was usually reversed in the end. For this reason, the episodes can be broadcast in any order. [Citation required] Since the 1980s, many FILMS have had a progressive change in the plot, characters, or both. For example, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television films to have this kind of dramatic structure [4] [better source required], while the later MOVIE Babylon 5 further illustrated such a structure had a predetermined story about the planned five season run. [Citation required] In 2020, it was reported that television became a larger part of the revenue of large media companies than the film. Some also noticed the quality improvement of some television programs. In 2020, Oscar-winning film director Steven Soderbergh declared the ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative: “I think these qualities are now being seen on television and people who want to see stories with such qualities are watching TV.
