☆ MGA5 EPISODE FOUR; JULY 18 #5008 HA SUNGWOON ; FT. JUNG EUNJI ( duos 2 ) performance: can you feel the love tonight - the lion king * starts at 0:33, music cuts out at 2:33, but sungwoon and eunji sing for a few more seconds before being stopped
it was only a matter of time, sungwoon thinks.
statistically speaking, at least one member of empty enigma was bound to get eliminated soon. they’ve entered the stage of the competition where each departure cuts deeper than the one before. talented people are being sent home week after week, and it’s the height of arrogance to consider yourself safe from elimination before the results are out. part of him is surprised they’ve lasted this long as a unit when people clearly aren’t happy about them being on the show—sungwoon has read the comments, even though he advised the rest of the band not to—but even if mnet is keeping them around for whatever reason, they’re still playing with fire.
minhyun is the first of them to get burned.
sungwoon’s eyes widen in shock as minhyun and yuqi are eliminated. he doesn’t personally agree with the previous cuts either, but these two come as a surprise, not only because of minhyun, but because yuqi had been acknowledged as one of the best by the judges the week prior. he half-rises from his seat to stalk over and—well, he wants to say something in outrage, but remembers a moment later that he’s still on camera and it probably wouldn’t tide over well.
instead, he remains seated, back ramrod straight, his hands clenched into fists as the new duos are announced for the next round. his protests are lodged in his throat as he watches the ceos, as if that in itself will help him understand their decision. it isn’t fair. minhyun is a good singer. minhyun is a fair dancer. minhyun is handsome and charming with a good personality. all things sungwoon wouldn’t say out loud to his face but believes with all his heart. minhyun doesn’t deserve this.
if it had to be someone from empty enigma, it should’ve been him.
he feels obsolete here; daniel is their representative, the undisputed face of the band. woojin is slowly rising every week, kenta has the talent and charm and has somehow already befriended everyone in the competition. minhyun is the total package, the perfect idol already. all four of them are brightly shining stars. meanwhile, sungwoon is coasting, not good or bad enough to stand out. he’s a member of the ensemble, but is all this worth it for a background bit part?
more than that, he’s done this once before. minhyun hasn’t. doesn’t it make more sense for him to go home and for minhyun to forge ahead? it’s not self-doubt that makes him question what he’s doing here but sheer frustration. does sungwoon deserve to be in this competition, to survive up until this point? absolutely; he’s never doubted the fact that he belongs on stage. but should he be here? that’s a different question altogether.
he wishes he could give this seat to minhyun, wishes he could say, hey, the stage is yours and you don’t have to say goodbye yet. but the judges say as much for him when they indicate that there’s a shot at redemption for the eliminated contestants. sungwoon desperately tries not to get his hopes up for minhyun. anything can happen, after all, but that can work in their favour as much as it can against it. squeezing his eyes shut, sungwoon offers up a silent prayer. please let minhyun come back; he needs to be here.
(the nagging voice in the back of his mind asks, do you?)
-
sungwoon’s partner for the next episode is eunji.
dread settles in his stomach for a different reason than previously. while he didn’t know jaemin at all, eunji is too familiar. they’re neighbours and, in his mind, friends. he likes eunji as a person and admires her as a performer; her stages have been some of sungwoon’s favorites so far. honestly, he should be elated at being given the chance to perform with her. together, they can deliver something special.
and yet—he doesn’t know where they stand. the empty enigma reveal fucked up a lot of things. granted, sungwoon never interacted with eunji as squall, never lied about the band because it was never a topic of conversation to begin with. most of her ire seems to be reserved for daniel (for reasons sungwoon doesn’t know and doesn’t want to know), but sungwoon is nervous none the less, apologies poised to spill from his lips the moment eunji arrives at the band’s practice space for their first practice together.
they don’t turn out to be necessary, though sungwoon gives them anyway. a lie by omission is still a lie, and eunji deserves better from him. still, he’s relieved to put the awkwardness behind them and gives her his first unabashedly happy smile of the competition, knowing they’ll pull off a great stage. he doesn’t pry into her issues with daniel, but does promise to tell daniel to steer clear of the practice space until filming on thursday. it’s probably better for the both of them to put all their focus into the upcoming performance, anyway, and daniel is a naturally distracting presence.
song selection takes precedence shortly after their talk. eunji’s a powerhouse singer and dancer from what he’s observed so far. on the other hand, sungwoon gives her a wry smile and tells her that asking him to dance is a crime against humanity. sure, he feels like he’s improved a lot from last year, but he’d still look like a sack of potatoes next to eunji; she’s at such a high level that he would only bring her down. so a vocal performance it is, and sungwoon’s content with that, though he’s eager to show a more dynamic image this time around. after a ballad and an acoustic arrangement, he wants to do something exciting.
however, if there’s anything sungwoon learned from last week’s performance, it’s the art of compromise. he wants this stage to be one both he and eunji can take pride in, so he listens to her desires and soft nos and tries to meet somewhere in the middle: showtunes. musicals aren’t something sungwoon is all that familiar with. he remembers going to one on the university campus, maybe, but it was badly acted and sung. their numbers are certainly dynamic and entertaining in the right hands though, so he’s willing to give it a shot.
they settle on summer lovin’ from grease at first—an iconic classic even sungwoon is familiar with. danny zuko is a role squall could play with his eyes closed, but sungwoon is reluctant to channel him fully in front of eunji. out of embarrassment, yeah, but latent guilt as well, perhaps a smidge of this is a part of me i don’t want you to see? he remains mostly sungwoon instead, and maybe that’s why both he and eunji can’t hold in their laughter while rehearsing. summer lovin’ had me a blast—
“it’s because i’m too handsome, right?” sungwoon says in mock despair. “you’re afraid you might fall in love for real… i get it. you need to laugh to save yourself.” admittedly, there’s something about the number as a whole that strikes sungwoon as hilarious, the whole boy meets girl in the most contrived way part. he thinks he can act pretty well, but perhaps caging squall kills any momentum he could’ve had. sacrifices and compromises, though.
summer lovin’ gets trashed when they come to the conclusion that they can’t keep a straight face throughout their performance and the search for another song continues. at some point, sungwoon and eunji end up talking about the lion king remake and whether they’ll be watching it and—it’s a musical, with an iconic duet right there. can you feel the love tonight all but falls into their laps. it’s funny that the song itself is a lot more romantic than summer lovin’ could ever hope to be, but sungwoon is confident they can pull it off if they take it seriously enough.
the different style of singing throws him off initially, but sungwoon adjusts to it easily enough. the theatricality suits him, and eunji is a fun partner to play off. they look and sound good together, in his opinion. most of their rehearsals go off without a hitch, and for once, sungwoon feels positive heading into thursday’s filming. his throat is in good condition, he’s been watching the lion king non stop for the past week, and he knows the song like the back of his hand. even if he hasn’t solved the question of whether or not he should still be here, sungwoon is still going to give the performance of his life. he owes it to eunji, and to the people who’ve been supporting him till now.
(other distractions can wait).
-
he doesn’t think he’ll ever get used to being separated from the rest of the band. sungwoon tries to catch a few of their eyes when he arrives, but they seem understandably busy, possibly anxious. the building never gets any less intimidating, nor does the sight of the judges seated above the rest cease to faze him. there’s an added heaviness in the air tonight when he thinks about the eliminated duos of last week. no doubt everyone, including himself, is curious to find out who survived for a second shot at the competition. he still hopes it’s minhyun. if the universe it fair, it will be minhyun.
unlike last time, he and eunji will be performing near the end, which leaves a lot of duos to get through before it’s their turn onstage. sungwoon is muted, watching the performances with controlled interest. he cheers for his friends, of course; woojin’s performance is exciting, and kenta is a joy to watch as always. daniel and hyojin’s creativity and synergy leave him impressed. it’s obvious they’ve been working hard to show the best sides of themselves, and looking at their dedication, he doesn’t understand how people can question their intentions for being here. maybe he cheers extra hard out of spite, whether consciously or unconsciously.
when it’s their turn to take the stage, he turns to eunji and whispers, “good luck! just remember,” and here he grins, a mischievous glint in his eye as he croons, “summer lovin’, had me a blast.” sungwoon fails to hold back his laughter as he faces the ceos and bows before making their introductions—they decided to introduce themselves as simba and nala, though eunji did manage to talk sungwoon out of ending his introduction with a growl (probably for the better).
their performance isn’t as flashy as some of the others; it’s stripped down and bare. seated on two stools, they face each other for the duration of the song. everything else falls away from the first notes of their backing track. his brows furrow momentarily—it sounds a little different than usual?—but his expression smooths over a second later, figuring he must be imagining it. the song itself is beautiful, equal parts romantic and nostalgic. his pronunciation is flawless, their harmonies and ad libs weaving into the instrumental perfectly. they’re able to pour enough emotion into their voices and their expressions to sell the song to the audience—
and neither of them laugh. that’s a bonus.
sungwoon is beginning to enjoy himself. there’s an ease to singing with eunji. he trusts her to match where he’s going and feeds off the energy he’s giving back. the corners of his lips begin to curve up in a smile when it happens. the music stops. sungwoon’s head tilts, but when eunji powers through, he follows. malfunctions happen all the time, after all, and a true professional would finish the song, right? but his mouth snaps shut rather abruptly when he hears one of the ceos call for them to stop. confusion colors his face as he turns to hear hyunbin tersely  informing them they’ve gone over their allotted two minutes.
oh.
oh.
understanding is slow dawning. sungwoon clumsily bows and apologies, a flush crawling up his neck. he’s eager to follow eunji off the stage and out of the spotlight, humiliation nipping at his heels. there’s only one explanation for their flub, and it’s one he wishes he’d come to figure out sooner—they’ve been practicing with the wrong cut of the song all week. god. how could they fail to follow the basic fucking instructions of the show?
by all rights, they’re seasoned performers. they should’ve taken care of this right at the beginning. they should’ve never made the mistake in the first place, not at this stage of the competition. his hands shake; he curls them into fists and avoids looking at the rest of empty enigma, letting out a shaky breath as they take their seats instead. “it’s not your fault,” he tells eunji hoarsely. it’s mine. “we’ll be fine,” he adds. they both know it’s a lie, of course, but he doesn’t want to vocalize the truth.
how could this happen? was he not paying enough attention? did he get complacent? did a part of him just cease to care and sabotage himself on purpose? the fact that sungwoon can’t find the answer makes him want to yell in frustration. he knows he’s better than this, and yet... maybe this just drives it home: he shouldn’t be here. it doesn’t matter what he wants or doesn’t want: he’s apparently incapable of the simplest of things.
(but eunji should be here, and in this moment, sungwoon feels like he’s nothing but a force of destruction).

stage; new, by team vista ( @rkjei @rksxngyeol @rkdaniel @rkguanlin @irenerk ) outfit; x stats; let’s fly up high song; kard - hola hola ( line distribution )
the first thing you could see when the new times were given out was the wide eyes and stressed look on hyuna’s face. realizing her and jei would be on the same team, after the argument about he ankle, was definitely not the way to meet up again and make up.
she didn’t know sungyeol, didn’t know daniel, didn’t know guanlin, didn’t know rose. it was stressing her that she had no idea how things were going to go down. panicking hyuna isn’t a good person to meet.
however, it was calm, it was nice. the team was nice to work with, taking her out of the loop she had with her previous team and she actually felt warm and welcomed, she felt happy about the team and slowly, things went back to how they should be.
her and jei made up, in the weirdest way possible, with jei making her cry on potentially national tv by just flat out saying they are best friends. and it was true, they were and always would be. even with the ups and down, even with everything going on and the mess they have gotten into called the mga’s, hyuna would always be happy that she had jei on her side.
even if she made her cry on tv again.
daniel was nice, he was curious soul as a leader. very fun guy and hyuna really enjoyed giving him the tips and tricks of getting into rapping, it was nice. even if he didn’t really plan on getting into rapping, it would be fun to see how things developed, maybe one of his friends was interested.
she would admit, she was all heart eyes at rose. who wouldn’t be? she probably shoved jei more than a few dozen time asking her if it was possible for someone to be this pretty. she definitely said it out loud and to rose’s face a few times because it was the truth, it was how she acted.
sungyeol was definitely an interesting match. he did seem intimidated by her, but at least it was just one person this time, she definitely found it easier to work through. she managed to at least keep up with him, conversations, laughs and the stupid jokes hyuna loved to use. it was a nice ice-breaker.
and finally came guanlin, her partner for the dance. he was cute as well, quite innocent and fun to be around. simply put, hyuna spend the most time with him, because the language barrier was easy to get through, english, her basic chinese, and korean were an easy way to talk to each other rand work on stuff.
it was a fun week, and hyuna loved it. however, the performance day came and she was more than ready for this.
the song was fun, and so was the couple dance. it was lighthearted song, filled with tropical house which was definitely showing the summer vibes.
she was wearing something casual, not as bright as she would have liked but it would do. they were all stood on stage, each was next to their partner and they all introduced themselves.
“i’m your dusk till dawn, kim hyuna, number 4008!“ she said, smiling widely and looking at a camera pointed in her direction before waving. they didn;t have long before the usual happened and they were asked to head to their starting positions and so they did.
the way the song went. she didn’t have much to wait until her favorite part came up. the little fanservice her and jei had planned. when it was her opening line, they both moved to the center stage, hyuna’s fingers reaching to jei’s chin, making her look at her and she felt the other’s own fingers against her cheek. there was a grin on the rapper’s lips as she pulled the mic up to her lips.
can i get your attention baby girl?
she asked, and they were back to the original choreography.
lemme tell you something hold up wait a minute 절대 깰 일 없어 너의 믿음 부족해 말로만 표현하기는 like the ocean 널 향한 사랑의 깊이는 oh ah ah
maybe hyuna should have been grateful that royal taught her how to be a stable rapper, how to dance like that, cover the pain she felt and still be able to do a live stage. and truth to be said, she was, but would she ever admit it out loud?
너와 매일마다 깨고파 난 너의 향기 밴 두 팔로 감아 wanna love you like there’s no tomorrow 더는 바라지 않아 baby
then she moved out of the way in order for daniel to take up the center stage and the couple dances continued. maybe she was having too much fun with it, she didn’t realize. how quickly the stage ended.
only when jei leaned against her, arm around her and the words “hasta la vista, baby!” being yelled into her hand mic did she realize the stage had finished. but she didn’t regret, she kept on smiling, leaning into jei even more.
she was happy and it was all thanks to jei.

* Unusual Partnership #MinDan
@rkdaniel
The weekend has arrived, it was time to let her ponytail down and time to let loose after being such a good girl training so hard all week. Minhee decided to hit the town with some old college friends, a little bit of drinking, a little bit of dancing, a whole lot of giggling. She wasn’t the type to go out in the streets of hongdae and going into different clubs what not but tonight she just wanted to be another person someone different from her usual uptight self even her friend Eunbi couldn’t believe it was the same person from college.  The trainee should make the most of this as she won’t be able to do this type of things before becoming in public eye and wanted to see what was the whole fuss about it about getting drunk at these places.
The night went on, Minhee found herself separate from her friends into another different club filled with young people who most likely students. Thankfully, she didn’t look her age so she was fit in with the crowd perfectly beside she was only like five to four years older than most here. The brunette locks bounced around her face with light pink hew were over her happy tipsy face as sat down at the bar ordering more drinks for herself too. Minhee noticed a younger male next to her, in some light, he looked familiar so she decided to start a conversation with the boy.
“Hey you! Do you like the music here? I mean it sounds pretty amazing, I love to dance too. You probably can’t hear me cause it so loud, so I can basically whatever my mind thinking of...oooh..I fancy tteokbokki...mmmh...that sounds pretty delicious...do you want to drink with me??? my friends went off and left me on my own...oh no! eunbi found some guy...jinhee got call from her boyfriend...and not sure what happened to gyuri...huh...I hope she’s okay.”

DUOS PERFORMANCE PART II : INTERVIEW
MGA5 contestant #5042 Sohn Youngjae Mentioning: @rkdaniel, @rkyq, @rkpjy, @rkkyg, @rkxsnh, @rksihyeon Gif credit { Outfit in gif }
“ I’m having fun. I’m being myself. I’m doing what I love. That’s all that matters ”
Another week had come and gone and with it another performance. And (by now to no one’s surprise) afterwards came the interview that worked as a status update on other’s thoughts of each other and, of course, the drama creator. Admittedly he had been surprised when he watched last week’s episode as he had been quoted pretty much word for word on all the negative stuff he said about Daniel, and while he couldn’t deny the fact that he had both said and meant it he also felt incredibly bad because it left him no way of explaining himself and his sentiment towards the older male who might have got hurt by him. Was this what his brother meant when he said that he wasn’t subtle? It was all so hard to figure out.
But dwelling by it wasn’t going to bring him anywhere. He could only move forward from here on -- well technically there was also the option of going back home and get eliminated but he tried not to think about that -- and if mnet wanted to put emphasis on him bringing others down in the process then so be it. Eric liked to think himself a pretty decent guy and he was sure that if he just talked to Daniel everything would get sorted out and be all good and there would be no problems anymore. Little did he realise that other people (namely the band mates) had also heard his comment and felt offended by it. Hopefully he wouldn’t step on anyone’s toes today. Hopefully.
What did you think of the results last week?
“I was surprised honestly,” he admitted even though he honestly didn’t have any strong feelings like he did when Jisung and Moonbok were eliminated. “To think that Yuqi noona was eliminated even though she’s been praised so much... It really made me think that no one is safe.” In a sense he couldn’t help but feel happy that it wasn’t him who had been eliminated, but he at the same time he had also wanted the attention of being a top contestant. Maybe just once. To have someone look at him and say that he was their favourite or at least one of them. But that wasn’t going to be as simple as to just make a wish and then it’d happen.
Which pair among the eliminated do you think will make it back?
“Hmm...” Eric fell into thought for a moment as he weighed the options. “I would lie if I didn’t say that I hope Yuqi noona comes back,” he admitted after a bit. “She’s a really interesting dancer after all so justice for Yuqi noona!” As he spoke with enthusiasm he pumped his fist into the air, but quickly returned to a neutral position and tone of voice. “Yugyeom hyung kept talking about this Jinyoung hyung fella though so I guess I have to support him too right? But I can’t have both Yuqi noona and Jinyoung hyung back, hmm, this is troublesome!” Resting thumb and index finger on his chin, Eric fell into thought on how to solve this dilemma, but eventually realised that there was no way to make it work. He sighed. “Oh well, I guess I’ll give Yugyeom hyung this one and root for Park Jinyoung and -- what’s his name? oh right -- Wang Jackson.”
How was it to work with Kim Yugyeom?
“Yugyeom hyung, he’s... aah...” Surprisingly a sigh was what left Eric at the question. “I mean he’s totally cool and an absolutely amazing dancer, but hyung! Please stop doting on me already! I’m not a little kid!” As he spoke he filled up his cheeks with air into a very exaggerated pout and crossed his arms before his chest. A subconscious gesture that didn’t at all serve to emphasise Eric’s statement, but he failed to notice that. “Anyway! I’m really glad hyung was all open for my ideas and stuff, and like, even though I wanted to do some things that wasn’t part of his comfort zone in dancing he was still totally up for it and learning it! Respect. Mad respect.” Nodding satisfied he continued.
“I think there’s a huge differences in working with Olivia noona last week who could dance but wasn’t focused on it and then going to someone like Yugyeom hyung who is a dancer. You can really feel that he moves in a different way! It’s totally cool! Like his aura as well. There’s just that dancer’s aura you know! Like pow!”
Like pow yeah. Where there any performances you enjoyed today?
“Is it bad if I say my own?” he asked, genuinely curious. “I don’t think that I’m so much better than everyone else or something like that, but today’s performance... It was just so much fun. I really think we did something great here and if nothing else then I at least had an absolute blast doing it! Out of everything I’ve done so far I’ve liked this one the most I think. So I really enjoyed it!” He clasped his hands together with a big smile on his face. “But my favourite I think is Kim Sia and Shin Ryujin! I think I fell for Sia noona~!”Giving a chuckle he made such a bold confession with no hesitation whatsoever.
Thank you, that’s all.

mentioned: @rkyeji @rkkenta @jungeunxrk @rkdaniel @rkpjy
what did you think of the results last week?
"as usual, its pretty sad to see people going home but its almost becoming more pressure for the people who are still remaining because they have a lot more to prove to see just how worthy they are of keeping their spot. i didn’t really expect them to bring anyone back this time around but it was a really nice thing of them to do. if not for that i would’ve never met jinyoung and honestly... he seemed pretty chill. also sia did great as usual so i’m not surprised that she won. congrats to her! she definitely deserves it.”
how was it like working with your trio?
“it was really hard at first. kenta.... was a lot for me to take in. he’s not someone that i would usually see myself getting involved with just because our energies are totally different and jungeun i already knew from social media because we follow each other on instagram and she seemed really nice then so it was nice seeing that that was actually true. but i mean after working through some things.. we got along fabulously. i did get pretty frustrated with kenta before i could understand him because i mean... his band seems to be really close and it was frustrating seeing him get so distracted when we had to focus but when we all got on the same page, practice was amazing. i was really lucky to have the two of them so i really hope i did them proud and i hope i did my fans proud.”
how do you think you did?
"i hope i did good. like i really hope i did. i worked so hard to get that dance down that i am literally covered in these muscle relief patches and these icy hot patches at night dance classes, in the mirror at work, with kenta, with jungeun, with any time that i had whenever i possibly could to try to get it down because i really am an amateur in comparison to jungeun and kenta when it comes to dance so i really tried my hardest not to bring them down so i hope i did them proud and was able to show them, and the judges, just how much i tried. that’s all i want them to see. and.... honestly, i had fun with it.”

happy #rkfifth ! PT. 1
so, i’ve finally found some time to get around to this! rkfifth is a big thing for me, so i definitely wanted to write something for it!
i first joined rookies back at the very end of 2015 with rkjaehyung. he was a pet shop worker who managed to hit it off with a lot of people really quickly, but sadly he didn’t last long, and was soon replaced by a muse i still hold very close to my heart despite him not surviving long either. that muse was rkhansol/solrk. he was my first dancer muse who, in all honesty, wasn’t very nice to begin with. it took a special friend (rkbyxngjoo) to loosen him up and make him a lot less cold towards people he didn’t know. sadly, having been hit really hard by his first failure after trying to get signed, and rkbjoo’s departure, i let him go, and subsequently took a break from rp for a few months.
when i returned, i came back with rkhyukkie. he was another muse i cherished a lot (which was clear from how many times i brought him back over the years). to this day i still somewhat miss him, and have to stop myself from throwing everything away to bring him back. he started out as a playful, witty, and genuinely surprising (for me) at how he changed from me thinking him up, to him actually interacting with people. he fell in love, but he ended up being dropped too, then brought back a few months later, and once again didn’t last long. i realised there was something off with him, that kept me from finding a comfy way of writing him, to keep him a stable muse, so i left him alone for a while.
after him, i had multiple muses, i also brought back rkhansol, who was now solrk. he was nicer, having been living life peacefully pursuing dance in the months i hadn’t rped him. he was still in love, and still living in a dingy little apartment though, but this time he managed to snag the boy, and eventually decided he’d rather not be an idol, but simply stick to dancing in other ways, so that he could have a more peaceful life with his boyfriend.
after this point my memory gets hazy and i know i had rkshiah (who may have been before solrk but im super unsure on this one) for a while somewhere, but she didn’t have as much impact on me as minhyuk and hansol had.
then comes december 7th of 2016, and this is where something frankly miraculous happened. tenrk was born. i’d been a very casual fan on nct since they debuted in april of that year, but hadn’t gotten truly deep into stanning them. on a whim i thought ‘hey this guys cute, i’ll rp him and see how it goes!’. i had no idea at that time that tenrk would become something so special to me. he started out very different. he was sarcastic, and liked to tease people. he liked sports, and was more creative than charismatic, but after i started stanning irl ten, tenrk became heavily influenced by him (without me even trying). he softened up a lot, and his attention moved away from creativity, and he became less of a cheeky, annoying teen boy, and more of a tender, sweet young man who loved nothing more than dancing and his friends.
throughout 2017 i had multiple muses, all of whom i cannot remember (i’m so sorry to all of them). none lived long, because beside tenrk, none of them could really stand up to how important he was to me and how much i enjoyed writing him. towards the end of 2017 i had dahyunrk and rkdaniel, but later dropped dahyun and swapped daniel out for rkhyuk.
now, to this day i still adore rkhyuk, who was a more mature, calm version of rkhyukkie. in a way, he was rkhyukkie, but with a few changes in his past. he lasted quite a while, which was rather surprising to me after how rkhyukkie didn’t hold up well, but rkhyuk, sadly, went through multiple heartbreaks in his time here. people he cared about leaving took a toll on him and eventually he became lonely, and being an idol just wasn’t what he wanted anymore. he tried his hand in the mgas, but it only solidified for him how he didn’t care much for performing anymore. whether it was due to the sadness he was battling with, or him just having grown out of his desire to be an idol, i’m still not sure, but i do know i still miss him, and i still want to rework him as a muse and if possible bring him back one day to try and get him that happily ever after he always dreamed of.
during the time i had rkhyuk lucas debuted, and as adamant as i was about not falling for someone so loud and seemingly heterosexual (lol im sorry down with the hets bois), his soft side quickly showed, and i fell for the tall goofball. yukheirk was born on march 7th 2018. he was one of those muses who seemed to hit it off well with people to begin with (though that died down a lot later on sadly). he was that typical hetero ‘no homo bro’ type guy, which was really just him hiding a deep fear for his suspected bisexuality.
yukheirk went through a lot in only his first few months here. he dated two girls, kissed na jaemin (sorry donghyuck), had a sexual awakening and feel in love, all before his horrible accident that ended his skating career. he became rkxuxi after adopting the nickname sicheng called him as his official name, since the name he chose for his skating career, lucas, now brought only bad memories. he’s still recovering now, many months after the accident, but now he’s got the boy of his dreams, and is working towards full recovery, and a happier outlook on life. he has some exciting things planned, and a bit of a change of direction in a way, but you’ll just have to wait to see all that!
now, for my newest baby, who honestly, i’ve been neglecting a little (especially since i started working recently it’s taken up a lot of my time). on september 26th 2018, rkguanheng arrived in rookies, who i talked about a lot before actually bringing him in. for a while he was just for fun dm rping, but he seemed so different to my current muses that i felt it would be beneficial to me to bring him in. he’s not as easily pacified as ten and xuxi, and speaks up when someone does something that bothers him. he’s not afraid of ruining budding relationships by speaking up when someone’s done something that upsets him, and that’s what i like about him. ten and xuxi are more likely to grin and bare things in silence, guanheng, however, knows when something isn’t fair.
guanheng is the most focused muse i have - he’s a creative writer. currently not a great dancer (and i don’t think he ever really will be) which is so unlike my muses (i’m such a sucker for dancers). i really like him so far, and am excited to write for him more when i find the time to plot more and get him really going.
but for now i think that’s the entirety of my history here at rookies. i didn’t really go much into depth on tenrk, but all i really can say is he’s been through so much over the years, and having just passed his two year mark (which i studpidly missed as usual), he’s my longest ever tumblr rp muse. writing for him is almost like writing a journal sometimes, because out of all my muses, he’s the most like me. i put so much of myself into him that i suppose that’s why he’s lasted so long. to lose him would be like losing 2 years of my life. he’s had heartbreaks, emotional rollercoasters, and became one of the first boys in rookies to debut. when i first came to rookies, all those years back in 2015, i never thought i’d be here today, with a muse lasting longer than 2 years, who’s debuted, and had such a long romantic storyline, but, here’s the proof.
this is only part one of my rkfifth post, and since this has gotten so long, i want to stop here and make another post to thank each and every person who has made my time here so amazing.

{ ;; the eve }
@rkdaniel
halloween itself held little meaning to hyungwon; the holiday was a day like any other, but the parties and events that had become a part of seoul’s nightlife were more than worth to put the smallest amount of effort into a costume. in hyungwon’s case, said small amount was tight black jeans and a loose shirt that exposed the v of his collarbones and sometimes the curve of a small shoulder. the headband with two pointy black ears sitting atop his head and mask that covered half his face were more than enough justification for hyungwon to leave the house and claim to be catwoman (and not just a guy with cat ears on his head). to be quite honest, he thought his own costume was a bit laughable, but then him and daniel got together and hyungwon suddenly felt better about himself. nothing like a giant pumpkin with shoulders almost as wide as the width of a doorway to make one feel less ridiculous.  not that hyungwon dared tell daniel as much, lest the other decided to abandon him at the party and leave hyungwon to fend for himself. big masses of people weren’t his thing, nor was the loud and booming noise of crappy music, but as long as there was alcohol and at least one familiar face, hyungwon would be fine. and a part felt like the right thing to let loose and forget. as soon as they enter the apartment, he scoots closer to daniel, slim fingers pinching the edge of his costume, just to make sure he wouldn’t loose sight of the other without noticing. “let’s stay close together.” he says into the room, before noticing that there was no way daniel could have heard him and turning to face him, chin lifted and lips close to his ear before he repeats, “i said, let’s stay close together. i don’t want to end up alone.”
