Life is about the people you meet and things you create with them.
After spending time with the kids of Sunshine Daycare Center at Nasugbu, Batangas for the Project Libro. Our group visited the Layag-Layag Beach at Nasugbu, Batangas to have our little beach camping. This activity became a venue for us to get to know each other more and I was able to spend quality time with Dr. Eamer, FattyKathy, #NoteToSelf, Ellieshana, and Hinds’ Feet & High Places who are all members of the Philippine Single Association where we all met.
The Project Libro and this beach camp gave all of us a way to know each other personally at last after how many months getting in touch in the virtual world. It is a worthwhile experience to meet new people in my life and learn from them. A good episode to break my life that is circling with daily routines.
This travel experience was made extra special because of the new people in my life (New friends actually), the outreach that we have done, and the fun adventure we had at the beach camp. It is a whole new experience that should be cherished forever.
The group had so much fun at the beach. We spent our time swimming, cliff diving, walking at the shore, storytelling, and of course, food which we ate with bare hands! hahaha
Aside from that, I was able to do my regular travel activity, to take pictures! Yey! I was able to take pictures of the kids and the beautiful landscape of the beach! 🙂 And my favorite part: Chasing the sun! The place gave me such wonderful colors during that time. I had such a great time sitting by the shore and taking pictures of how the sky turned from yellow to orange to purple and blue. I just love how God painted the sky with colors during that time.
He has made everything beautiful in its time . . . -Ecclesiastes 3:11

Books aren’t made of pages and words. They’re made of hopes, dreams, and possibilities. -anonymous
Books are way more precious than what you think. By looking at it, books are merely compilation of paper bound together. Yes, it is true, however, look beyond what your eyes see, take a deeper feel of the book, browse the content and watch yourself travel from one place to another, experience different emotions in one sitting, and acquire new knowledge with every flip of the page. Books have the ability to change one’s life, create dreams, stimulate imagination, and build aspirations. A single book has more than what it takes to change an individual and change the whole world.
With the Philippine Single Association, I was privileged to be part of this advocacy called Project Libro last May 6, 2017 at the Sunshine Daycare Center in Nasugbu, Batangas. The project aims to help Filipino Children to love reading. It is an advocacy that:
Envisions to help bring transformation in the community we live in. Through this project, we aim to conduct free life lesson sessions among elementary students that will enable them to dream for their selves, for their family and for the country. We also want to bless them by giving them some school supplies and learning materials.
and
Believes in the Ripple Effect Principle. The positive things that you are doing, no matter how big or small, has the power to create ripple effects that will impact the lives of others. source: FB Page
The activity held catered approximately 20-30 kids who received books which were given and funded by the generous sponsors. Aside from the giving of books, the children also enjoyed hearing two stories from the books that we brought and had fun playing few games.
This advocacy is very timely with the emergence of technology in the society that we live in. Books are being neglected because of the different gadgets that our world has and made children disengaged socially and intellectually. The world that we live in is already drowning with the effects of technology. Though our lives became easier, there are also a number of side effects that technology gave us. One of which is the infusion of all our needs and activities in devices, making everything mobile including the reading of books.
This project will give the children the feeling that books are still important for their personal growth and for them to reach their dreams as young as they are. Reading an actual book is more enjoyable with every flip of the page than reading an electonic book (ebook) scrolling down one page after the other and far more interactive than the latter.
Project libro also became my way to meet my blogger friends who are behind this project: Dr. Eamer, Fatty Kathy, #NoteToSelf, Ellieshana, and Hinds’ Feet & High Places. It is a once in a lifetime experience that I would definitely keep in my heart. My travel experience was made extra special because of this event; I have met new friends, and helped children change their lives.

Mines View Park is one of the most overrated places to visit in the City of Baguio. When you hear the place Baguio City, there are a couple of tourist spots that immediately comes to your mind:
Burnham Park;
Mines View Park;
Botanical Garden; and
Wright Park; among others.
Since Baguio City is so small that when tourists visit, all the streets are clogged. It is like fitting a 1.5 liter of water in a 500 ml container.
During peak season, the roads going to these tourist spots are filled with cars with plate numbers coming from all provinces around the Philippines (Name it!) and sometimes they are not even moving. It is as if the roads are large parking areas. Maybe the tourists have the same mindsets? They all go in the same direction.
More often than not, if you will be visiting Mines View Park during the daytime, you will be wasting bulk of your vacation time in traffic which you can use in other less stressful activities in the city. Aside from that, you will also be stressed with your parking area since all of the cars during the day go to the same area. And lastly, you will be inserting yourself in a small crowded area.
Going to Mines View Park? Why don’t you visit it at around 4:30 am and witness the sun rise?
If you do that, just imagine the experience you will have that the other tourists missed:
You will not be caught in traffic. The road going to the park is wide open. Including the parking area.
You will not be squeezing yourself to pass through a large number of crowds visiting the park.
You will save a chunk of your vacation time.
You will feel the cold pine breeze of Baguio City which is basically the reason why you visited the City.
You will be able to witness how to sun pierce through the morning mists over the mountains.

“Flowers are the music of the ground from earth’s lips spoken without sound.” -Edwin Cubran
These flowers are mixtures of photos taken from streets, forests, parks, and in all other places that I pass through. There are colors everywhere embedded in every flower, whether small or big, wild or just planted in the garden; flowers that you see in the parks or in flower pots or in flower vases. All you need to do is to open your eyes and appreciate their beauty. These creations are all around you waiting to be noticed and appreciated.

After a great solo adventure at Aurora Province last December 2016, I had a spare time to visit a friend and have a long drive from Dagupan City, Pangasinan to the white sand beach of Bolinao, Pangasinan before we drive back to Baguio City.
This great wonder is situated on the western part of Luzon and has a lot of things to show you. Aside from the beach that we have visited, we have seen couple of roads heading to the falls and caves which I am planning to visit on my next trip in this municipality. Since we only have a limited time for this trip, we just end up visiting the light house and had a short dip in the waters of the beach.
I will be showcasing the beauty of the white sand beach during low-tide and the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse. (please see individual photos for the settings)
Presenting my gallery for this trip:
