I've been on a roadtrip today to go on ✨vacation✨ and I had a lot of time to spare so I'm here to bring yiy,

Clegan roadtrip headcanons 🚘

Gale plans. He studies the itinerary, when and where to make the pit-stops, he even divides the trip in equal sections so him and John can alternate at the wheel and not get too tired

Still, John drives most of the way because he loves to drive. He loves the speed, and the sight of the endless road in front of him – something about the freedom of an open road speaks to his very soul – but he also likes to simply be driving Gale around, his lovely passenger princess

He often drives like a madman, too fast and coming a little too close to other cars, but Gale is so used to it that most of the times he falls asleep right in his seat – he works too hard, is always tired, and the familiar drone of John's yapping and the rumble of the engine lull him perfectly to sleep

John's job is also to create the shared playlist for the trip. He goes for the perfect vibe every time, perfectly balanced between songs to belt to and calmer ones. Gale always adds the same songs without caring about the vibe, 'cause he's a man of habit, but John never complains, he even turns the volume up when his songs come up

Gale has a terrible road rage. John blares his horn to drivers who cut him off, maybe curses loudly at them, but Gale is somehow worst. He starts spewing the worst curses known to men under his breath and then speeds up until he's head to head with the other unfortunate driver and just stares at them, menacingly, like he's daring them to say something to him or cut him off again. They usually slow down and let him pass. John giggles the whole time

When they stop to eat or to refuel John isn't allowed to get anything to drink while on the road because then he'll have to pee and they'll have to make additional stops that Gale didn't plan for. Still, since he's not immune to John's puppy eyes (they're worst than Meatball's), he actually makes room for one or two possible additional stops so if John really wants a travel soda he can have it

They also buy a shit ton of sweet and savory snacks, sweet for Gale and savory for John

When John isn't driving (or sleeping) he turns into a menace, hitting on Gale with the most ridicule phrases he can come up with, teasing him, touching him, stealing kisses and murmuring in his ear what he can't wait to do once they stop for the night

Sometimes Gale has to find a secluded spot near the road to placate him

Prior the trip, when they're still deciding what to go see when they're on the road, Gale always sends John an email with details about every single interesting thing they said could be seen during the roadtrip, with opening times, links to reviews, and personal opinions. And then another mail with possible accommodations, of course

John usually says yes to everything Gale proposes to see, but he's picky with the accommodation. He needs the bed to be a certain size, he wants breakfast to be included or at least a diner/café not too far from the place, and he wants a minibar in the room. Gale always checks for cleanliness, and combining their searches they always find places they're satisfied with and they recommend them to their friends

Sometimes when it's not too hot Gale likes to lower his window and let the wind mess up his hair and sting his face, he just stays there with his eyes closed, one hand on John's leg as he listens to him talk about whatever weird stuff he's into now – for him, nothing spells peace more clearly than this

Fue el último día de monólogos... Pasó Jane y Eugenia. Posting a snippet from the winner of the badly-summarized WIP game!

Winner was: "beep beep. get in, bitch we're going strangers to roadtrip buddies to lovers 🚘"

As soon as Jyn was certain Cassian was capable of operating a manual and driving on the left side of the road at the same time with a reasonable level of competency, she tore her eyes from the road and pulled out her phone.

Jyn: So…remember how my flight got canceled?

Not a minute later her phone buzzed against her thigh, Cassian briefly looked in her direction at the sound–it may as well have been a scream in the silent car–but made no comment. 

Bodhi: No trains, no buses, yeah I remember. Did you manage to find a car?

Jyn: Sortof 

She watched the dots dancing as Bodhi typed, pictured her friend frantically tapping away.

Bodhi: Why are you being vague? Wth does that mean?

Bodhi: What did you do

Bodhi: Call me.

Jyn: Can’t right now

Jyn: But it’s not what you think. I haven’t backed out…

Jyn: I hitched a ride with someone

Bodhi: CALL ME 

Jyn: Bodhi relax

Jyn: I’m fine

Her phone started to vibrate in steady repetition in her palm, a picture of her and Bodhi atop Arthur’s seat (taken during his recent visit) glowing up at her. With a twinge of guilt she hit the ‘reject’ button perched just to the left of her friend’s cheesy grin.

“You can get that if you need to,” Cassian commented lightly, eyes still fixed on the road. 

“I don’t,” she replied quickly, tilting her screen away from him despite the fact he had made no move to even glance in her direction.

Jyn: I told you I can’t talk rn

Bodhi: Who tf did you get a ride with

Jyn: Bodes. Deep breath. 

Jyn: All is well.

Bodhi: See you say that but…

Jyn: I’ll call you when I can

She stared at the screen for a moment longer, ran her thumb over a small crack, and with a sigh continued typing.

Jyn: How is he?

Bodhi typed for longer than he needed to, likely debating what to say. 

Bodhi: Just call me when you can.

Jyn locked her phone and set it face down in her lap. 

But it gave another insistent hum.

Bodhi: Also share your location with me

Bodhi: And a pic of whoever ur with

Bodhi: So I know who to hunt down if you disappear 

Shaking her head and huffing a soft laugh she did as he asked and shared her location. 

Bodhi: Thx

Bodhi: Pic?

Jyn: Not happening

Bodhi: JYN

Bodhi: Don’t make me blow up your phone rn

Bodhi: I’ll do it

Bodhi: You know I will

Bodhi: Watch me

Bodhi: Isn’t this annoying??

Bodhi: Hello

Bodhi: I

Bodhi: am 

Bodhi: Waiting 

Bodhi: :) 

The three dots appeared again, unapologetic and unrelenting. 

Jyn: For the love of god stop. fine. 

Jyn: one sec

Fuck. She looked over at Cassian, face flashing in and out of gold and shadow as they passed under neighborhood street lamps, winding their way to the motorway. For some reason the sight made her stomach give a nervous flip. “God damn it.” 

“What?”

Apparently she was beginning to lose her filter–because this wasn’t awkward enough as it was. “I didn’t say anything,” she lied, turning swiftly towards the window to study the houses they passed by. Their quaint windows–just beginning to show signs of life as the earliest morning workers stirred and started their day–revealed no solutions. 

Her phone began to vibrate incessantly again. 

“Are you sure you don’t need to get that?” Cassian asked, this time throwing her a quick glance. 

Jyn wiped clammy palms against the knees of her jeans and resigned herself to her fate. (Bodhi could be nearly as stubborn as her when he wanted to be, it was best just to appease him and get it over with before things got any more humiliating.) 

“It’s my friend,” she explained. “He’s asking for a photo of you.”

“In case I’m an ax-murderer?”

“Not comforting that came so easily to you,” she quipped, “but, yeah, pretty much.”

“Makes sense.” Cassian appeared decidedly unbothered as he leaned over the steering wheel, craning to see around a blind corner before making his turn. “Go ahead, I don’t mind.”The car swung wide, and Jyn swallowed her embarrassment, raising her phone to quickly snap a pic. Without bothering to check her recent messages she fired it off to Bodhi with the caption “Happy now?”

Travel Azores!🏝️ We will be road tripping, hiking, dolphins and whales watching, see the viewpoints and a abandoned hotel. Explore a cave and relaxing in hot springs end of the day. This is my trip to Sao Miguel with friends September 2022. This is a Portuguese island in the beautiful Azores!. Azores us a group of Island in the Atlantic Ocean 🌊 It's is very green. Much like a garden. Some say the Azores is like Iceland without the cold and wind. Our journey started early on 18 September. We did fly with Transavia from Schiphol. At the airport it took about 45 min. Going through the security. It's was good leaving Holland with bad weather and arrive with sunshine at Ponta Delgada airport João Paul 2. (PDL) Check the video from the landing. João Paul 2 is really a small airport. It did not take long to exit the airport. Just for we left I picked up the car keys at Ilha Verde. The car🚘 we picked up beside the airport. Easy. I made sure to make a small video from the outside of the car. Can't be sure enough even if you got insurance. We first went to our hostel. Drop off our things. We found out parking is not so expensive. Free on Sunday! Same for coffee☕ we payed 60 cents each. We checked out Ponta Delgada. Really nice small town. Walked the boulevard. The harbour is really nice in the evening. So many lights. All walkways have lights💡 After a long day travel and walking around we given our self rest. Poca da Dona Beija was the place to go.
