There’s something wrong with me right now but don’t worry I found a cure (holds up a hyperfixation from when I was 14) (NOT one of the good ones)

will never not think about how Andor season 2 draws to close, the story begins to focus on four women: kleya, vel, mon and bix. Women who were and will be incredibly pivotal to the Rebellion, to the effort to liberate the galaxy.
Women who were all saved and influenced by Cassian in some way. Cassian saved Vel’s life, even if maybe that was not his conscious intention. and by so doing he may have just saved the fucking Rebellion. He enabled her to deliver that massive pay day to Luthen and who the fuck knows what that paid for.
Kleya, who thought she was destined for death, who had ordered the hit on Cassian in season 1 for the very reason she assumed she was doomed to die: knowing too much. “It would be you wouldn’t it” is a statement of “it would be you who would kill me”. The operative who always comes through. the man who is always where he is needed. the man she had ordered to be killed himself. the messenger. but cassian refuses to leave her. he breaks basic protocol and spycraft. saves her so she can see the sunrise. the same sunrise he knows he’ll never see.
Mon, who was rescued from the senate by cass, only able to have the courage to give that speech due many things, sure-- most of all being her own courage and belief in her truth-- but that assurance that luthen had someone on the inside to get her out had to have strengthened her resolve. and Cass is able to pull her out, ensure that she is able to escape to yavin and lead the rebellion.
And of course Bix, who will live a life of peace with her child because of the sacrifice Cassian makes. because she was brave enough to choose herself, to choose the galaxy.

its funny when events that probably couldve been traumatic dont bother you so you'll end up casually dropping stuff like "so after that time i almost got lost at sea as a kid-" and theyll be like WHAT and youre like. oh yeah dont worry its just part of my lore. its honestly not even a top five interesting backstory moment. focus please.
#we are pretty much all this way about peak covid and it makes me feel genuinely insane ngl#like…y’all we were burying bodies in Central Park
