Maybe her having a meltdown and how a character (preferably one of the stark men) would react to it/help her? Or maybe how they react to the reader showing her current hyperfocus/fixation or special interest???

Also couldn't choose which Stark man so I spun a wheel and got out lovely Robb! Hope it's up to your standards.

Meltdown:

I feel like Robb would be attentive to all your needs. No matter what mood you're in, he's there to help. Though, I think all the Stark men would be in their own ways.

Robb would be able to sense the meltdown from a mile away. You had a bad day; everything seemed to be going wrong, and everything just felt wrong. You'd be tense and a more irritable, and he could see the way your fists clenched and your eyes squinted as the council meeting drags on.

He'd hate being unable to do much about it during such an event, and would find himself focusing more on you than the meeting, wondering when the moment is that you'll snap.

You manage to keep a grip on yourself until after the meeting, quickly withdrawing from any social activities and rushing back to yours and Robb's chambers—with Robb following close behind.

You'd be pacing the length of your chambers by the time he caught up with you, your breath heavy and fingers trembling as you fumbled with the laces of your dress, the fabric feeling uncomfortable and only adding to your frustrations.

The first time this had happened around him he had panicked a little, not quite knowing how to soothe you, but as time goes on he figures out all the little ways to comfort and help you.

Greywind seemed to always be the best option for comforting you. You enjoyed the softness of the direwolf's fur and the warmth that emitted from the soft beast. He'd help you out of your clothes once you found them too uncomfortable, helping you into one of his oversized shirts and his fur cloak. He'd make sure the fire is stoked, and you're comfortable on the bed with Greywind and would avoid touching you too much or in any way that may add to your state and would probably sit on the edge of the bed until you calmed down and when you did, he'd pull you into his lap, making sure you're nice and snug against him, letting you fall asleep on him.

Interests:

Your interests are definitely a little different from the usual high-born ladies, but Robb doesn't care. He adores the way you light up with excitement as you talk about your interests, finding adorable and endearing. He'd sit there for hours listening to you talk if he could. Alas, duties as King are endless and constant, especially in a time of war.

That doesn't stop him from listening to you in the evenings as the two of you lay together. You'd be curled against his side perhaps, Robb's fingers toying with the ends of your hair, curling the strands around his fingers as he listens to you talk. He'd let out little hums and add on a little to the conversation but is content to just listen to you, to watch the way you get excited over something you love. Greywind would probably be lying at the foot of the bed, giving your feet some much-needed warmth (wouldn't want to get frostbite and have your toes fall off now, would we?)

Robb doesn't care how silly or strange your interests are, he's just happy you're happy. Nothing makes him happier than seeing that excitement dancing behind your eyes as you fumbled to tell him something new about your interests.

1.30 AM | ROBB STARK

nightmares are never fun. robb likes a full night of sleep without getting interrupted but unfortunately for some nights, that's impossible. he blinks his eyes open to you stirring next to him, you're still sleeping but you move your hand restlessly on the bed. he turns to his side to watch you.

you turn your head on pillow, your pretty face looks distant and hurting. robb leans on his elbow to hold your shoulder, coaxing your body into his to let you know he's here. he wraps his arm around you, your hand in his palm, just an attempt to keep your mind at ease. you don't open your eyes but robb can feel your breathing's turning into normal, and finally you put your head on the crook of his neck as you always do.

he kisses your head. he doesn't know what you dream of but keeps his hand on your back to offer some relief. you'll feel it. you'll recognize his touch. he waits, not closes his eyes again until he feels you're sleeping okay. when you put your hand on his waist and draw a lovely shape, it's his clue to go back to sleep.

before arya ever promised to be strong by using robb as her benchmark, the definition of stark strength, ned had to remind robb to be strong as the ruling stark in winterfell. (strong for bran and rickon, the brothers he thought he failed by sending their would-be killer away, leading to his great moment of weakness in jeyne westerling's bed.) as his siblings' faith in his ultimate triumph held strong, even after the loss of the north, robb himself was struggling with despair.

as grenn once told sam, maybe everyone is just pretending to be brave, maybe that's how people become brave. robb was faking it to make it too, imitating his father's lordly attitude as bran later tried to imitate robb's. as his younger siblings remembered him as their shining example, robb was trying to live up to his father's example. not the ned who'd been in his circumstances, a teenager unexpectedly turned into a lord and fighting a war to save his family. no, ofc, he never knew that young ned. the ned he knew as his father, the standard to measure himself against, was an adult man in his mid-30s who'd ruled the north for ~15 years. but was that standard for a 15/16yo any more fair and valid an expectation than 8/9yo bran believing he was almost a man grown and holding himself to the standard of 15/16yo robb as robb's heir?

and the only person left close enough to see robb as the boy he still was died with him.

Just to be clear if anyone cares and because this post kinda blew up and people started dragging me and I’m pretty sure they assumed that I was suggesting anything I said was in some way representative of my beliefs/theories:

I was totally just spitballing shit off the top of my head.

I never intended my word salad to trigger such a heated debate, I genuinely was just hoping for a civilised discussion about what’s right/wrong, what’s most/least likely. I want to understand all this deep stuff and engage with the fandom and hear people’s thoughts. I don’t have the mental capacity to weave intricate theories that tie all strings together like some of this fandom does. This post was incredibly fucking low effort drivel that I tossed out into the universe in the hopes of exploring different possibilities and engaging in conversation about exploring the significance of the differing appearances of the Stark children. Nowhere was it supposed to say I *want* the characters mentioned to fail/succeed. Nowhere was it supposed to imply that I know the significance of it. I just picked up something that was sitting with me and thought aloud about what it could mean and just came up with a random idea of what it might mean without much thought. At least some part of the thought was shaped by the end of Robb’s story and because he failed due to what I interpreted as getting too close to Southern politics and perhaps forgetting the core values he was fighting for along the way. I don’t know. I feel like I shouldn’t say anything else now cause anything I could say feels like it will just fuel the fire.

I’ve confessed multiple times now that what I said was shortsighted, wrong and didn’t consider intricacies that refute what I was saying entirely. Now if people could chill and take the post for what it is, that would be great.

Do any of y’all asoiaf homies think there could be some significance to the Stark kids’ appearance?

My brain does not currently have the capacity to explain what I mean exactly but I’m talking in the sense that the majority of the kids look like Tullys not Starks, notably it’s said that Arya and Jon look most like Starks and it just made me wonder whether that somehow foreshadows their failures- in the sense that the rest cannot truly uphold Stark values and therefore ultimately fail? Idk if I’m just pulling shit from thin air and this may not make much sense but I just think that fact might somehow imply that they’ll be the ones to uphold Stark values in the send and ultimately succeed in their endeavours.

Ofc I understand I’m ultimately damning Sansa, Bran and Rickon in this but I wouldn’t put it past GRRM to plan that far ahead and use some kind of magical heritage-related symbolism like that… and ofc nobody is safe in asoiaf so there’s that too.

robb likes waking up early for a morning run. following the sunrise, watching the sky shining, feeling the breeze against his skin. he adores all of them, they make him feel alive. you, however, like sleepy mornings spent in bed. if you have time to stay in bed longer, you definitely use it. not just for sleeping but just for resting on comfy bed with your face against your soft pillows. you like the way your muscles relax, how you can enjoy some time without thinking of anything.

you're mostly successful with convincing robb to stay in bed with you. sunshine fills the room slowly as you wrap your arms tighter around your boyfriend's broad chest. he gets easily convinced with your lips on his skin, your offers to make him a new breakfast recipe after, and your hands all over his body. closing his eyes, robb feels more alive than he does under the morning sun. you're here, so in love with him with your bare emotions, trusting him with your heart.

and then he gets on top of you. such a nice weight on your soft bed, on your warm body. he kisses you until all you can breathe is his air, until you can't feel your lips. his hands run through your hair and you can't help but press yourself to him. he always takes care of you. he always does it with his lips giving you countless kisses everywhere. who needs a morning run when he has you with him under the blankets with your bright smile and your sleepy eyes?

Okay so, I don't really understand the Sansa slander, especially in the first few seasons. Beauces my girl is a child, can you blame a child for being scared of the queen and the king. Can you blame a child for having a crush and wanting said crush to like them back? I don't think so. The whole Arya is better,oh Sansa is so bad thing ,I don't understand. Both of these characters are great in my opinion and you can't really compare them.

Arya just likes swords and stuff like that, and Sansa likes embroidery and stuff. And I think they have a relatively normal sibling dynamic, cause I remember I was like that with my older sister.

Since it was five years ago for me when I watched the show and I now finished the first book, I can't really understand the dislike for Sansa.

Like she went through shit , in the show. Like watching her father die, getting humiliated as a child, getting married as a humiliation, getting married to a psycho and abused from him.

And one thing I once read in a comment section was "well we don't like her because she didn't trust Daenerys." Well why should she trust someone she doesn't know from the beginning.

I get people disliking characters, but Sansa is just a character I don't really understand why.

Can someone explain to me, because every explanation has been I've seen especially on tiktok, kinda sexist and biased, no offense.

oh the parallels between lyanna & robb stark. these two teenagers at the center of a rebellion against the throne, “the wolf maid” and “the young wolf” being way in over their heads, blaming themselves for the deaths of their siblings, doomed to their fate via their love interests, tragically dying at 16 in front of a member of their family, going to their graves with a secret about jon, haunting their siblings forever. oh the generational trauma.

Mmh, Stark men coming back from hunting or training, all sweaty and smelly. They see you lying in bed, busying yourself with a new book you found or letting their direwolf. You're sat there so peacefully, and for a moment, they forget that they need to bathe. They only remember once they're wrapping their arms around you and tugging you into their arms — you let out a grumble about them being all sweaty and gross. And they know they should let you go but the temptation to pull you closer and tease your words is hard to ignore.
