Almost Home Pt. 6 (Robb Stark x Reader)
A/N: Hey y’all! Sorry for the big gap in updates. Had lots going on. But here ya go, Pt. 6. :) And I apologize for the ending. It’s a bit choppy.
---
It was another late evening, but instead of being curled up underneath the blankets in my room,  I was being lead to the middle of the small square. With everyone asleep and out of sight, Winterfell felt almost deserted.
“Don’t you think its risky?” I sighed as I let Robb pull me gently outside, insisting that I should learn how to shoot a bow. “It’s not like we’re in the woods.”
“You are telling me that you would rather sneak out into the woods, in the middle of the night, not knowing what could be out there?” He raised an eyebrow, and I rolled my eyes.
“No, I am not.”
“Then hush. I promise you that this will be fine.”  His lips touched my cheek gently before he pulled away to find the bow and few arrows we needed for our lesson. “Besides, you’re with the King of the North. What do you have to fear?”
“Your mother, for one.”  The words left my lips before I could stop them, and I watched Robb’s face drop. He wasn’t angry, but he definitely wasn’t happy at my words.
“Y/N…”
“Is there any point ignoring the truth?.” I sighed and turned, walking closer towards the target. “She clearly does not care for me, and would rather I was gone, in one way or another.”
A warm pair of arms wrapped around my waist, before gently turning me around. Robb Stark’s Tully blue eyes gazed down at me gently, filled with a mixture of sadness and love. “But I don’t want you gone, not now and not ever. Isn’t that enough?”
“Always.” I smiled gently, and brushed my hand against his cheek, my smile growing as he leaned his face into my palm. “Now, and forever.”
“Good.”  His curls tickled my face as he leaned into kiss me, and I giggled slightly as his lips brushed against mine. He pulled away a moment later, frowning slightly. “What?”
“Don’t you think it’s time to cut your hair?” My fingers moved to play with the now rather long strands of his hair. “I do love it, but isn’t a king supposed to look… more sophisticated?”
“Wow.” Amusement lit up his eyes as he shook his head slowly. “Way to put it gently, love.”
“I’m not trying to be mean, Your Grace.” I tucked a curl gently behind his ear, and gazed up at him. A humorous smirk lit up my face. “But I think it’s time you transitioned into the more sophisticated ideals of appearances.”
“You think you’re so funny, don’t you?” He scoffed, and I giggled as his fingers slightly tickled my sides.
“Just a little.” Managing to pull free from his gentle grip , I walked over to where he set down the bow and quiver of arrows. “Now, are you going to show me how to shoot this thing or what?”
“I do not believe that such activities are meant for someone like you, Y/N.” My blood ran cold as the all too familiar voice of Catelyn Stark interrupted the joyous atmosphere. I turned around quickly to find her standing a mere ten feet away from us. Her eyes were cold and her expression hard, displeasure a word that could only begin to describe how she must have been feeling.
“Lady Stark, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean-”
“Didn’t mean to get caught?” A sneer formed on her face, and I could only stand there and listen, completely speechless. “I’m sure you didn’t.”
“Mother, she was with me.” Robb’s voice was stern, and I turned to see his gaze focused on her. “I don’t see any reason why I couldn’t show-”
“You may be the King of the North, but you do not get to associate yourself with people of the likes of her,  not in this way!” Catelyn stormed forward and snatched my arm in her grip, her fingers digging into my flesh. “She is not wor-”
“Do not finish that sentence!” I felt Robb’s hand clasped onto my other arm, leaving me stuck in-between the the two as they continued to bicker. “No matter how low you might place her, she will always be worthy to me.”
"The moment that you find yourself wedding a woman like her will be the moment that you have lost the respect of your people... and of your family.” I was yanked away from Robb, but winced as I felt his grip tighten on my arm, keeping me in place.
“You are in no position to talk to your King in this way.”
The air felt thick with tension, and I knew in a matter of seconds, the conversation would take a turn for the worst.  I pulled away harshly from Catelyn’s grip before turning to Robb.
“Be calm,  my King.” I whispered softly, as my hands moved up his chest to cup his face. “It’s not worth an argument this late. It’s my fault we are even in this mess. Let’s leave our words for the morning, when we have calmed down and gotten some rest.”
His lips parted to speak, but I leaned in to kiss him gently for a few moments, only to be yanked away again by his mother moments later. I let her lead me away, my eyes meeting Robbs as he watched helplessly from where he stood.  The moment we rounded the corner, out of sight from Robb, Catelyn stopped walking, causing me nearly to run into her.
“You know, my dear...” Her voice was calm and almost sickly sweet as she released me arm. “I have something I need to show you. After that, you may take your rest for the evening.”
“O-Okay.” I swallowed nervously as I followed her down the hall, my heart nearly in my throat  with each step I took.
She opened her bedroom door and walked inside. “Come inside.”
I did as she asked, and looked around the room hesitantly before my eyes fell to the floor. Catelyn Stark’s footsteps echoed across the cold floor for a moment before they stopped in front of me.
“Child, look at me.”
My eyes slowly left the floor and met hers. Her expression was unreadable, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips as she held a folded up piece of paper in her hands.  “I hope the brief, yet intense affair you had with my son was enough to get it out of your system.”
“Get what out of my system?”
“Your urges for things that don’t belong to you, and things that you do not deserve.” Catelyn’s voice grew icy and I tried to ignore the ping of hurt from her words. “You are not to see him anymore. His reputation is much more important than you, and I won’t let him destroy his rule because of a girl who was willing to share her body for one night to get his attention.”
“I did not sleep with him!” I scoffed, and she simply rolled her eyes.
“Silly girl, I am not blind. I saw you together and I saw him come into your room. It is in your best interest that you do not lie to me.”  Catelyn held up the piece of paper. My heart sank to the pit of my stomach as I saw who it was addressed to. “This letter explains what you have done and where you are. If you so much as look at Robb the wrong way, I will have this letter sent to your family quicker than you can apologize. And after that... your fate will rest with your family, or rather... your husband. Who knows what will happen then.”
My mouth felt dry and my head began to spin slightly as I processed the words that left her lips.
“Are you alright? You look rather pale.”
“I’m fine.” I whispered, ignoring her taunting words. “May I go to bed?”
“As long as you stay there till morning.” She sighed, placing the letter on the table nearby. “I will see you bright and early to get started on chores.”
“Yes, my Lady.” I nodded, before making my exit from the room.  The tears that I tried so hard to hide began to fall from my eyes only a matter of steps away from my chambers, and I had to stop in the middle of the hall to try to calm myself.
A hand grasped my shoulder and my mouth open to scream, but a warm hand quickly covered my mouth. I looked up to find Robb standing in front of me, his eyes concerned as he took in my state. “What did she say to you?”
“Doesn’t matter.” I mumbled, as I reached up to wipe away my tears. “Why are you here?”
“I’m here because I care about you...” His voice was slightly hurt, and I wanted so badly to comfort him. “What did my mother say to you?”
“Robb, you deserve better.” I sniffled and lifted my head to look at him. “And your mother thinks you do too.  So it’s not my place to stay when you could have someone so much better.”
“What?” His voice was soft, and it made the tears all the harder to conceal. “There is no one else I want, but you.”
“Robb-”
“There isn’t, and there never will be. Don’t you understand?”Robb’s hands moved to cup my face, and my heart fluttered as his lips grew closer to mine. “You are all I want and all I need.  And I do not care what my mother has to say about it, because I love you.”
Before I could respond, his lips were pressed against mine, soothing away the brokenness inside of me and inviting me closer. After a moment of hesitation, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in closer.
For a few moments....we stayed like this. Happy, perfectly content in the bliss of being together. But I knew that it couldn’t stay this way... not with his mother threatening everything I had left.
I pulled away and gazed up at him through watery eyes. “I love you, my King... but I am not what you deserve.”
I slipped out of his embrace and ran down the hall, away from his voice calling for me to stop. I opened my chamber doors and nearly slammed them shut as I made it back. If my heart had been broken before, it was nearly destroyed now. I slowly made my way to my bed and laid down, curling in a ball as sobs of sadness washed over me.
Eventually, a restless sleep overcame me and I drifted into darkness... unsure of what the next morning and the rest of my life would bring.

New GOT Fanfic
Hey guys! I’m starting a new GOTXReader fic.
Our reader is a bard traveler, she was born in Dorne, but lived all her life on the roads with her merchant father. Her mother was a dornish artist that taught reader how to sing, play lute and water dancing. Reader is going to be a clever, charming and independent woman, she’s bisexual, so you guys can expect all kinds of romance in this story.
Also, you can choose the main romance! The story will fallow the show’s time line, so we’re going to meet almost every character. There’ll be some JonXReader, RobbXReader and TeonXReader moments at the beging, but the development of the story will bring new partners as well. That being said, you’ll be able to choose with who our reader will marry in the end.
New chapters will be added weekly, so you’ll have some time to tell me your opinions on the story. English is not my first language, but i’m working hard on my skills. I hope you like it, see you soon!

Betrayer’s Sister
Anonymous asked: Can I request a Robbxreader where she is theons sister and after he takes winterfell the bannermen think he should kill her one of them grabs her and threatens her but he defends her and gets super protective and places guards with her and a few days later she asks him why and he tells her he cares for her and as long as he’s around no one will hurt her. There’s then this spark between them and maybe they don’t even realise it until they escape the red wedding together (any happy ending)
I do not own Robb, Catelyn, Walder, Roose, Arya or the Hound. They belong to George R.R.Martin.
Warnings: angst, slight fluff, mentions of violence and betrayal, The Red Wedding.
Pairings/Characters: Robb Stark x fem!Greyjoy reader, mentions of Catelyn and Arya Stark, Walder Frey, Roose Bolton, the Hound.
Tumblr media
You were shaking like a leaf when they stormed into Robb’s tent. Word of your brother’s deeds had traveled quickly. He’d taken Winterfell right out from under Robb’s nose and the bannermen held you responsible as well. After all, it only takes one rotten apple to ruin the bunch. You had come into Robb’s tent to explain that you had no idea that Theon was going to do that. You had no part of it. You could see a glimmer of belief in Robb’s Tully blue eyes, but you soon lost hope as the bannermen entered the tent, entreating Robb to kill you for your brother’s actions.
One of the men crossed the tent to where you were and grabbed you by the elbow. “I wonder how Greyjoy would feel about seeing his sister’s head on a spike?” Your eyes went wide with fear for a brief moment until Robb let out something akin to a growl. “Let her go. She is not the one who betrayed us. Lady Y/N will not be held accountable for Theon’s deception.” You simply stood there speechless as the man let go of your arm and left the tent. From that moment on, you were assigned a personal guard. In truth, Robb’s actions confused you.
A few days later, you decided to ask him about it. He made a habit of coming to your tent at the end of every day to check on you. When he came that night, you interrupted his usual questions by asking one of your own. “Why did you stop them, Robb? Not that I am ungrateful. I rather like my head where it is, but you did not have to save me.” You watched as Robb’s expression turned sullen. You gazed at the face of the young man you’d grown up with. The face that was aged beyond his years.
“Theon’s choice was not yours. It was not your fault, Y/N and I would not see you executed for something you did not do. I care for you as I always have and as long as I can prevent it, no one will harm you.“ You thought he was hiding something, but you didn’t press the issue. He’d answered your question and that was all that mattered. Instead, you gave him a smile and a nod. “Thank you, Robb.” He kissed your forehead and left your tent. That night, you fell asleep with a thousand jumbled thoughts buzzing around in your brain. It would take weeks for those thoughts to become clear.
*time skip*
You nearly screamed as an arrow went whizzing past your head. You had to get to Robb. The Freys and Boltons were allied with Lannisters after all. How many could betray one person?! All you knew was, in that moment, Robb and his mother were in danger and you had to help if you could. You’d never been more grateful for training than you were that night. You cut down as many people as you could, making your way over to Robb and Catelyn.
When you were close enough, you snuck behind Walder Frey and laid your blade against his throat. No one could see you from your hiding spot. “Call them off or I will cut your throat.” The old man wheezed out a laugh. “You do that, girl and my soldiers will be all over you in minutes.” You scoffed. “I don’t care. You have offended the gods, killing your guests. The men and women that have taken food and drink under your roof,” you hissed.
"I let you go and the Lannisters will have my head on a spike.“ In response, you dug your blade deeper."And if you don’t, I will cut your head clean off here and now. At least with the Lannisters, you’ll have time to concoct a story.” You were through playing. “Alright. Alright.” Walder Frey called out to his men to cease their actions. You smirked. You had known he’d value his own life above Robb’s. Roose Bolton looked at him as though he were mad and turned to him in surprise.
You had pulled your blade away from his throat and, in the chaos that ensued, you were able to sneak Robb and Catelyn out. Once outside, the three of you ran for the stables. You needed horses and quickly. You didn’t expect to run into young Arya and the Hound. “We have to move! They will not be far behind!” you ordered sharply, surprising even yourself. No one argued though and soon, all five of you were riding away from the Twins as quickly as possible.
You rode for days before your little group felt safe enough to stop. Only then did Robb say what was on his mind. “You saved us, Y/N. There are no words to express my gratitude.” The words sounded so broken, yet stoic and rehearsed. “I merely repaid the kindness you showed me, Robb,” you whispered, although there was no need. The pair of you were far enough away from your camp, the others could not hear you.
Robb simply stared at you and you stared back. There was that spark again. The one you’d been feelings for weeks now. Well, in reality, you’d felt it for years but you could not place it. Looking into Robb’s eyes, you could see he felt it too. Your breath hitched as he regarded you closely and, before you realized it was happening, you were both leaning in.
Robb’s lips met yours and you felt fireworks. It was a sweet and gentle kiss, but that didn’t stop you from feeling the love in it. This kiss wasn’t rushed or too heated. It was the kind of kiss you only read about. The kind that makes you long for the fairytales to be real. It was everything. Your hands automatically rested on Robb’s chest while his settled on your waist. There was no one else in that moment. Just you and Robb.

Safe and Sound (Robb Stark x Reader)
A/N: Well... I’m actually back now, I promise. XD School was kicking my butt, but now I finished, so my updates will be much much more regular. I will create a updating schedule in the near future, but until then, it’ll just be whenever I can. I have “Almost Home Pt. 4″ in the works, but until then, I made this little angsty sad piece for you all. Hope you enjoy. <3
P.S. I decided  to change up some things that weren’t how it went down in the books or television series so be ready for a few little twists.  I also switched certain lines of dialogue used in this scene around, but bear with me. It makes it work. XD
--
Y/N’s POV
I knew from the moment I married Robb Stark that my life would never be entirely safe, at least until the war was over. Although there were numbers of people who wanted Joffery’s head, there were many others who wanted Robbs and anyone who dared associate themselves among side him.
At times, it frightened me. The idea that my life would be cut tragically short, only because my husband deserved to be King of the North. But I knew the love I had for my husband was far stronger than any fear I had, and as long as I had him, that was all that mattered.
“I would never let any harm come to you. You know that, don’t you?” He smiled at me softly as we lay in bed one night, slowly feeling ourselves drift to sleep.
“I thank you for your protection, My King.” I jokingly roll my eyes, and he scoffed before gently pulling me onto his lap. His sparkling eyes gazed up at me before he sat up, his strong arms wrapping around me.
“I am serious, you know.” Robb leaned his forehead against mine. “The thought of you in any type of pain absolutely devastates me.”
“I guess we better hope our child is a boy then.” I smiled as I led his hand to the small, growing bump. “That way, you’ll only have to be devastated once.”
“I will be perfectly content with either gender.”  My husband chuckled, his other hand moving to cup my cheek gently, and his eyes flickering to mine. “As long as I have you with me, safe and sound.”
“You will always have me with you, my love.”  I leaned my cheek into the palm of his hand, and my heart stirred with the same amount of love I had for this man from the day I first met him.   “Safe and sound, as always.”
“And I for you.” Robb leaned in slowly and brushed his lips against mine, sealing our promise with a tender kiss. Slowly, it began to grow deeper and I sighed longingly as I pulled myself before it grew any further.
“As much as I would love to continue, Your Highness,I’m afraid we have to be up early in the morning. We don’t want to be late for the wedding, do we?”
“As always, you are right, my darling wife.” Robb sighed, as I rolled off of him onto my back in the soft sheets. “I would rather we did not have to see my dear uncle wed the Frey girl. Poor thing.”
“Which one?” I let out a small giggle.
“Both.”
---
The wedding had gone very smoothly, with an acceptation from a few crude remarks that almost made Robb confront Walder Frey, who was stopped by his mother.
I tried to ignore the harshness in his words. I understood the trust that had been broken, that resulted in bitterness that would stay for some time. But Robb wouldn’t stand for any dishonor or disrespect to myself.
Soon, we were led into the great hall, and began to feast. I sat next to my husband, smiling and listening as the orchestra played and the surprisingly happy couple talked at their own table.
“I suppose that this ended up working out, wouldn't you say?” I smile slightly, as I looked at my husband. His blue eyes were content, and a smirk pulled at his lips.
“Yes. But I do think that I got the better end of the deal.”
“Oh yeah? Why do you think that?” I took a sip of my wine, my smile still present.
“I got the most beautiful girl in existence to fall in love with me.” Robb took my hand in his, our fingers lacing together. “Oh, and she is also carrying my heir. How much more could I ask for?”
“You are too sweet, my dear husband.” I felt my cheeks start to heat up slightly at the compliment.
“I love that you still blush at my words. It’s quite adorable.”
“Stop it.” I looked away quickly, trying to hide my face. But two fingers pulled my face back towards him, and before I could say a word, his lips were touching mine softly. I kissed him back for a moment before forcing myself to pull away.  “We don’t want to steal this day from the bride and groom, do we?”
“No, I suppose not.” Robb sighed, before smirking and adding, “But I’ll remind you of our own wedding night once we return to our room.”
“For goodness sake...” I groan playfully, and laugh along with my husband as I look around my room. But suddenly, I feel my laughter start to die away.  The music began to change to something somber, and the atmosphere began to morph into what I could only describe as unpleasant. Something terrible was about to happen, and I was terrified to find out what it was.
My eyes met my mother-in-laws, and from just one glance, I could tell that she could sense it too. After a few moments, I turn back to Robb, and grab his arm gently. “Robb, can you do something for me?”
“What is it, my love?”
“I can’t seem to find my earring.” I frowned thoughtfully, before continuing. “I think I might have left it up in the room. Could you go find it?”
“Must you have it for another hour or two of drinking?” He chuckled as he sipped on his wine.
“Please.” I pleaded gently, and he finally gave in, standing and kissing my hand gently before walking towards the exit and finally disappearing through the doors. The breath that I had held so tightly escaped my lips, and I turned back to Catelyn, revealing the ‘lost’ earring in my hand that I had taken out in a moments notice in order to persuade my husband to leave the room.  A lump grew in my throat, knowing that I would most likely never see my dear husband again.
The relief that spread across her face was quickly replaced with fear as the doors slammed shut behind us, and the music coming to a complete stop.
“Where has our dear King disappeared to?” Walter Frey frowned as he rose from his seat.
“He has fallen ill, but will return to the feast once he feels better.” I lied quietly, my eyes never leaving the man’s face.
He hesitated for a moment before sighing and continuing. “Ladies of Stark, I feel that I have been remiss in my duties. I have given you meat, wine, music, but I haven’t shown you the hospitality you deserve. My King has married, and I owe my new Queen a wedding gift.”
I felt the breath hitch in my throat as the sounds of blades being drawn filled my ears and It turned to look at my mother in law once again. Her eyes were watery in the fear of death as they met mine, but there was still some relief in the fact that her eldest was not here to watch this soon to be deadly scene unfold.
And I couldn’t help but feel the same.
---
Robb’s POV
As hard as I looked in the damned room, I could not find my wife’s earring. It must have fallen out somewhere in the dining hall. With a grunt of frustration, I shut our room door, and began to walk back towards the great hall. Men were slowly beginning to walk through the door and I began to frown. Was the feast over?
Roose Bolton was the last to exit and he gave me a calm smile before clapping my shoulder gently. “He has a wedding gift for you and your lovely Queen inside. I hope you enjoy it. It will definitely be a shock.”
I nodded hesitantly, slightly ruffled by his words before entering the room. My heart dropped as I saw the countless dead bodies of my men on the floor. Their blood painted the long tables and the cold stone floor.
“Was it a shock?” My eyes flashed towards the main table, seeing Walder Frey sitting in his seat, sipping his wine leisurely. “I was sure it would be.”
I walked forward quickly, my eyes urgently scanning the bodies for those of my mother and my bride. My pregnant bride.
“Are you looking for something?”
“Where are they?” My voice almost broke, as I realized they weren’t among the dead.
“What was that, Your Grace?”
“Where is my mother and my wife?” I stood a near ten feet away from his table, my heart thudding in my chest as I waited for his answer.
“Well... I decided to keep them alive until you were here.” The old man snapped his fingers, and two guards entered the room, each dragging a separate figure into the bloody room and throwing them onto the ground in front of the great table.
I recognized the first as my mother. Her hair was ruffled and her eyes were red. A bruise shadowed her eye, but there seemed to be no injuries that threatened her life. As her eyes focused on me, her eyes began to water with tears.
“Robb, you need to go.” My mother’s voice was broken, hopeless, as she stared at me from her place on the ground. “Get as far away from here as you can. Get as far away from this war as you can. “
“And why would I let him do that?” Walder Frey’s voice interjected, with no remorse at all.
“Please.” My mother turned to stare up at the man. “He is my son, my first son. Let him go, and I swear that we will forget this. I swear it by the Old Gods and New, we will take no vengeance.”
“You already swore me one oath right here in my castle, you swore by all the Gods that your son would marry my daughter!” The words were spat from his lips venomously, and my mother flinched back slightly.
“Take me as a hostage. But let Robb go. Let Robb and his wife go. She has done no wrong.”
“She whored herself to your son, and made him break his oath! She has done everything wrong.”  Lord Walder scoffed.
My eyes flickered to the second figure, which lay curled a few feet from my mother. It was my darling wife, my darling Y/N, bruised and beaten almost beyond recognition. Her eyes were filled with tears of pain and sadness.
“Listen to your mother, my love.” Y/N’s voice trembled as she spoke to me. “You need to get as far away from here as you can.”
“I can’t leave you with him.” A lump grew in throat. “I can’t leave the three of you with him.”
“I’m afraid that number has dwindled lower than that, Your Grace.” the guard mocked, and my eyes flickered to my wife’s stomach.
Scarlet stained the bottom half of her dress and I could only feel my heart shatter more than it already had. Y/N’s tears began to fall down her bruised cheeks, and she tried to hold back sobs as she cradled her stomach.
“You will not get away with this.” I said darkly, my sadness almost as powerful as the anger that was building inside of me.
“Says whom? The ‘King of the North’?” Lord Frey snorted, and the guards laughed. “You are no King anymore, Stark. There is one solution that I can think of, that wouldn’t result in all of your deaths.”
The two most important women in my life stared up in agony at the man who had been so kind only hours earlier, eager to hear what he had to say.
“I will let you, Robb Stark, leave the castle with your dire wolf, your life, and your mother. “
My voice was almost lost as I found myself at the mercy of Lord Frey. “W-What about-”
“Consider this a second chance. You will leave immediately, and get as far away from here as you can. If any of my men find you anywhere remotely close to my castle after sunset, you will be brought back here and executed, alongside your mother.”
I opened my mouth to speak again, but my mother was already at my side, pulling my arm. “Robb, we need to go.”
Her eyes flickered in pain, as she repeated the four words from before. “Listen to your mother.”
My eyes met Y/N’s, and I knew that this wound would take far longer than any other wound I had to heal. Maybe it wouldn’t even heal at all. I wanted so desperately to save her, but I already knew what she wanted me to do.
“Can I say goodbye?” I pleaded, my voice thick with unshed tears.
“Fine. Make it quick, because you don’t have much time left.”  Lord Frey snapped his fingers, and the guard drew his sword and stabbed Y/N through her shoulder.
My feet moved me quickly towards where my wife lay on the floor. Her breathes were sharp gasps, as scarlet began to travel quickly down the front of her dress. Even in all of this pain, she some how still managed to look absolutely beautiful, and managed to take my heart completely.
“I-I found my earring.” She whispered softly, a tear running down her cheek as she showed it’s place in her ear.
I shook my head as my own tears began to fall. “You figured it out, didn’t you? Why didn’t you say anything to me?”
“He would’ve killed all of us.” Y/N shook her head. “There wouldn't have been anytime to do anything. I wanted to save you.”
“Don’t you remember what you said???” My voice broke into a sob. “You said I would always have you with me. Now you’re leaving me forever. “
“I will be with you, My King.” My wife took my hand and kissed it gently. “Maybe not with you when you wake up in the mornings in bed, but I will be with you. I pray to the Gods that you know that.”
“I do.” I nod through my tears, before leaning down and kissing her passionately, not caring if her lips tasted of blood because I knew that I would never be able to hold her a close as I was now ever again. I pulled away moments later, and leaned my forehead against hers.  “I love you. I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you.”
“I’ll keep our child safe.” Y/N’s voice began to grow softer, and I felt my tears run faster down my cheeks as I watched her tired eyes meet mine once more. “We will see you one day, My King.”
Her gorgeous Y/E/C eyes left mine and set on the ceiling before her breathing ceased altogether. I cradled my wife’s body against mine, rocking her back and forth before I felt my mother began to yank on my arm.
“Robb! We need to go!”
Numbly, I let go of Y/N’s body and began to run towards the door with my mother, not looking away once until we left the hall. I would never forget that day, or the days that followed. The days that I lived without my wife, the love of my life and my unborn child. Walder Frey had taken everything away from me, and I didn’t know if I would ever be able make him pay for what he had done.
But my mother was safe, and for that I was grateful. We found our horses and Grey Wind, before immediately leaving the castle Where would we go? We did not know. But our lives were spared that day, and it was a blessing and a curse altogether.

Almost Home Pt. 5 (Robb Stark x Reader)
A/N:   I’m really enjoying writing this series. I’m undecided on how many parts I’m going to make, but it will probably reach 10 at the minimum. We’ll have to see. :)  Announcement time: if you have any ideas for either stand-alone imagines (one part ones) or ideas for another series, please let me know, either in the comments or shoot me a message. Also, if you would like to be in the tag list, let me know as well! I’m starting it from this imagine part and forward, so just let me know. :)

TAGLIST:
@youshouldbescared
---
WARNINGS: slightly sexual content (but not really)
Y/N’s POV
The  weeks passed on without incident, eventually turning into months. Catelyn Stark said nothing of her conversation with Robb, but ceased talking to me almost altogether. Although I did prefer to have a person to talk to, if this meant that she wouldn’t try to feed me the lies that I had believed so easily before,  I would gladly take her silence as a blessing.
I found myself falling for Robb over the past few months, way faster than I imagined it would happen. He would make occasional visits, stopping by just as I was feeding the last mare in the stables and was alone. Eventually, we found ourselves beginning to meet later at night when everyone was asleep.
It started one evening when he had just finished drinking with some friends. After a sharp knock on the door, I opened it to see him standing there. His eyes were slightly red, but he looked like he had at least some control of his actions.
“Can I help you, Your Grace?” I asked, an amused smile on my face.
“Would you mind sharing your bed for a night?”  Robb asked rather loudly, his voice echoing down the hall.
“Ssssh. You have to be quiet.” I grabbed his hand and pulled him inside, shutting the door before turning back to him. “How much did you drink?”
“Not too much.” He shrugged, before walking over to my bed and laying down with a huff. “But enough that I don’t know how to get back to my room by myself.”
“I don’t know whether to feel bad for you, or laugh at you.” I giggle before coming over to the bed and laying down next to him. “You know you could have been caught coming over here, right?”
“I know.” Robb sighed as he looked over at me. “But I thought that it’d be worth a shot. At least I get to see you somewhere other than the stables.”
“But the stables are a lot less risky than coming to my room late at night.” I smiled softly as his fingers moved gently to brush against my cheek “I do not think that your mother would be thrilled to find out that we… well, you know.”
“No, I don’t.”  Robb smirked in amusement. “Tell me more.”
“Shut up.” I laughed and rolled my eyes as he pulled me closer to him by my waist. “Robb….”
“What? We’re free to do whatever we want in this room. Can I at least have a kiss?”
“I fear you may not remember it in the morning.”
“Like I said…” Robb’s hand gently cupped my face, and I leaned my cheek into his palm as I gazed into his eyes. “I didn’t drink that much. I’m pretty sure I’d have to be flat out wasted if I was to forget kissing you.”
“Whatever you say, Robb Stark.” I closed my eyes as a smirk spread across my lips. “Maybe we should get some-“
My sentence was cut off, as warm lips brushed against my own.  I smiled against my partners lips, pulling away a few moments later and opening my eyes to meet his startling Tully blue eyes.   “Do you think you’ll remember that one?”
“Maybe I should try once more, just in case.” Before I could respond with a witty remark, I was pulled gently back into his warm embrace, his lips connecting with mine once more. Unlike our last kiss, he was not as gentle, not as tender. It was as if this would be the last time we would ever be together, and he needed me to be as close to him as possible for as long as I could.
The slightly humorous atmosphere melted into something that I had never experienced before, and in a single movement, all without breaking our kiss, Robb moved to hover over me. My hands moved up his chest and into his hair, slightly pulling at the dark curls as we kissed. A gentle sound escaped his lips at the action, and I did it again, prompting the same response as before.
After a moment, our kiss ended, but before I could protest, his lips moved down to my neck. A delicious moan left my lips, and I bit my lip to keep quiet. “Robb?”
He didn’t respond, only moving higher up my neck to gently kiss the skin underneath my ear.
“Robb. I think we should pace ourselves.” I laughed shakily, my stomach feeling as if it was swarming with butterflies. My body was certainly betraying my mind at this moment.  The King of the North let out a small sigh, before pulling away to meet my eyes. His eyes were lit with excitement, as well as slight disappoint that I had asked to stop. But there was understanding as well.
“I think you’re right.” Robb smiled, and rolled off me to lay on the bed. He turned his head to face me. “I understand.”
“I’m sorry, it’s just… I haven’t done anything like this before, and I don’t want to…” I fumbled with my words, my face burning as I tried to make excuses that didn’t make it sound like I was rejecting him. Gods, I was sure sounding stupid.
“You do not have to be sorry, or apologize for anything.” His arm wrapped around me,  pulling me closer to his chest before he tilted my chin so our eyes met. “I will wait as long as you wish, even if that day never comes. Because, I’m not here for just the night. I will be here as long as you want me here. You know that, right?”
“You mean you’ll always be here in my room late at night and drunk?” I rolled my eyes playfully, and he chuckled slightly before kissing my head gently.
“That is not what I meant. “ Robb pushed a loose strand of hair behind my ear, and gazed down at me.  “And I’m not drunk. I only had one or two pints.”
“I know. I just love to tease you.” I smiled before leaning up to kiss him gently. “We should probably get some sleep. Are you sure it’s not a problem that you aren’t in your chambers tonight?”
“If my mother says a word about it, I’ll come up with a good story.”
I smiled sadly as I got up to get the lit candle before bringing it to my nightstand, and sitting back down on the bed. “Do you think that she will ever know about… us?”
“One day.” The bed creaked slightly and I smiled as I felt his slight scruff rub gently against my neck as his lips brushed against my cheek.  “She is still misses Father dearly. I think that it will take her time to see more change in the House of Stark.”
“I’m sure it will.”  I blew out the flame, the moonlight from outside pouring into the room softly, giving a little light in the otherwise dark room. I climbed underneath the blankets I had been provided, Robb doing the same. “Whenever it happens, she won’t be terribly pleased.”
“No.” He pulled me closer to his side. “But I will be tremendously pleased. And by that time, all of the pain and loss of war will be behind us.  I don’t think she’ll care at that point.”  Robb paused for a moment before continuing. “Are these all the blankets you have? You must be freezing here at night. I’ll go get you some more furs.”
“Not tonight.” I grabbed his arm gently as he started to climb out of bed. “All I need is you right now.”
“Well, I suppose that could be arranged.”
I closed my eyes with a smile as I lay that night in the arms of Robb Stark, the one true King who would one day sit upon the Iron Throne. I could only pray to the Gods that it would all happen soon, and that neither of us would lose the other in the process.

Safe and Sound Pt.2 (Robb Stark x Reader)
A/N: I got some pretty great feedback/requests for a second part, so here I am. :)  For those of you requesting a part 2 in the comments, Idk if you follow me, so I will tag you in this post since you were all interested in reading a part two lol: @wonderboygenius @htariq @itsallthesamee
Once again, it’s not all canon, but I think that this was the perfect way to wrap up this little short series. And yes, I know the time jump is not the same. I wasn’t exactly sure how long certain events had been since the Red Wedding. But I’m just making it work.  In my next update (most likely Almost Home pt. 4) , I’ll let you know more about my schedule for updating.  Until then... have a great weekend and rest of the week!

Months after the Red Wedding...
Third Person POV
After the events of that bloody night, in which Robb Stark’s men and his pregnant wife were slaughtered, the castle of Walder Frey was rather silent. Of course, Roose Bolton was declared Warden of the North, which wasn’t a surprise as it was being told that Robb Stark had in fact perished amongst his men and wife.  But besides the tragic half truths that were being spread, nothing else had happened, as of yet.
House Frey had made it’s position in this war clear, and with who they chose to pledge their allegiance to.  The North gladly wanted to see the demolition of this house and everyone in it, and Walder Frey had little worry for it in the time being.
He sat at his table, watching as a servant girl approached with a plate of meat pie in her hands.  “You’re not one of mine, are you?”
“No, my Lord.”
“Didn’t think so.”  Walder Frey’s eyes wandered down her body before adding, “Aren’t you pretty...”
The girl winced slightly as she felt his hand come in contact with her ass, but chose not to say anything as he turned back to his food.
“Where are my damn moron sons?” He spat harshly. “Black Walder and Lothar promised to be here by midday!”
“They’re here, my lord.” The servant girl responded softly.
The old man frowned, before grunting. “What are they doing? Tell them to come here, now.”
“But they’re already here, my Lord.” She adds, a slight smile on her face as he looks around the room in confusion. “Here... my Lord.”  The servant gestures towards the food on his plate.
Hesitantly, his fingers gently pull away the bread crust from the top of his pie, and his eyes began to fill up with confusion and fear as he identifies what looks to be a finger in his slice.
“They weren’t easy to carve.” A new voice caused the old man to look up, seeing Robb Stark making his way towards the table, his knife in hand.  His eyes were dark, and his grip on his weapon was tight. “Especially Black Walder.”
Walder Frey’s breathing increased rapidly, and he looked in bewilderment at the servant girl beside him. In a single motion, she reached down and pulled off the mask, revealing her true identity.
“My name is Arya Stark.” She started calmly. “I want you to know that. The last thing you’re ever going to see is two Starks smiling down at you.”
The older man stood up from his seat in a half hearted attempt to escape, but it was too late. Arya pulled the man back down in his seat, and held his head still in her arms. “Would you like to do the honors, brother?”
“Gladly.” Robb nodded grimly before looking down at Walder Frey, struggling weakly to free himself from his sisters grip. He shook his head slightly, before beginning to speak. “You took everything from me, so it’s time for me to return the favor.”
With a simple flick of his wrist, Robb quickly slit the man’s throat, watching as blood spurted out of his neck and as it began to stain his clothes. His mouth was parted in a soundless cry for assistance, and could only watch helpless as the two Stark siblings smiled solemnly down at him as the life ebbed from his body.
Eventually, his body ceased moving, and Arya looked at her older brother. “Did this help you?”
“It’s good to know that I was the one who ended his miserable life.” Robb replied, cleaning his knife and putting it away while his eyes remained on Walder Frey’s bloody corpse. “But it doesn’t bring her back, as much as I want it to.”
“I know I never met her.” Arya placed her hand on his arm. “But I know that she did not deserve to die like this.”
“No. No one does.” Robb whispered, his eyes watering with tears at the memory of her death. All of the blood, the panic in her eyes as she struggled to fight for her life in his arms, and when she breathed her last. It all rushed back, all at once.
“Hey.” He glanced over at his little sister, her eyes filled with empathy. “Do you want me to take care of the others on my own?”
“No.” Robb shook his head, before turning towards the door. “I owe them a visit myself.”
---
Catelyn Stark waited anxiously on top of her horse a safe distance away from the castle. The two of her children explained the plan multiple times to her, assuring her that they would return to her safely. But the fear that remained inside of her only escalated when watching the two of them disappear inside of the castle.
Her second eldest, Sansa, sat on a horse next to her, as the handful of guards sat behind them on their own horses. She glanced to the side, seeing her mother fidget with the reigns as her gaze was focused on the castle ahead of them. “Mother, they are going to be alright. Arya’s plan will work fine.”
“Last time I entered that castle...” Catelyn started coldly, her gaze not shifting. “I was promised guest right by this House, sealed with bread and salt. And yet, our men were murdered like they were nothing, and Y/N was sentenced to death for nothing more than falling in love with my son and being with child with his heir. Who knows what the Frey’s will do to them if they are caught.”
Sansa reached over and touched her mother’s gloved hand, causing the oldest Stark to turn her attention. “They will come out. It hasn’t been that long. I’m sure-”
“Look! I see them!” One of the guard’s interrupted, and both of the women looked forward to see the two Stark children galloping towards where they waited.
Ayra began to converse with Sansa in a quiet but exhilarated tone, while Robb trotted leisurely over to his mother. His eyes were gentle and sad, and after a moment of silence, he began to speak.
“I killed him.”
“I’m glad it was you.” Catelyn looked at him with sadness in her eyes. “And I know they are too.”
His demeanor almost broke at the mention of you and the child, and he looked away before he could let any tears fall.
“Why don’t I feel better?” He sniffed quietly, before looking back at his mother. “I killed Walter Frey. I killed the man and the people he held dear to him. Shouldn’t that have been enough?”
“You lost the love of your life, Robb.” She replied gently. “The pain doesn’t just go away, even if you get your revenge.”
“When does it go away?”
“I don’t think it does.” Catelyn smiled sadly. “It just gets better the longer time goes on. Just like your fathers death for me.”
“All we can do is remember.” Robb’s eyes flashed over to his youngest sister. She glanced back at the castle. “Remember this day, and remember who we have lost.”
“Indeed.” He sighed, and looked back at his mother before adding, “I suppose we better move on, then.”
Catelyn nodded gently, before urging her horse forward, followed by her two daughters and the guards. At the end, Robb remained where he was, gazing out at the castle where he had lost his wife and child only months ago.
“I miss you.” He whispered softly into the silence. “And I know there is nothing I can do to bring either of you back, but I love you both. His whole house is gone, and as long as I live, no other house will bring down the name of the Starks. I only wish you were here with me.”
Robb swallowed the lump in his throat before continuing. “I don’t know exactly where you are now, but I pray that you are both safe and sound. I will see you again, maybe not in the near future, but someday. And I can’t wait till I do.”
Catelyn called his name from the top of the hill, and Robb sighed. “I have to go now, love, but I hope that you know how incredibly loved and missed you are.”
With that, the young wolf kicked gently at his horses sides and galloped away from deadly castle and towards a better future with his family.

Almost Home Pt. 4 (Robb Stark x Reader)
A/N: Okay, I kinda feel bad for making Catelyn Stark seem like a bad person (I actually liked her character for the most part), but it’s driving the story along. XD Hope you enjoy. I’ll attach my updating schedule in a second author’s note at the bottom of this part.
Also, I decided to make this an AU, where the Red Wedding doesn’t happen, there was never a deal made with the Freys, etc. (saves us all some heartbreak lol)
---
The first few days of my new life in Winterfell were rather difficult. Although my shoulder was almost healed, one wrong movement on the first day made it ache fiercely for the following number of days, which bled into weeks and eventually a couple months.  It wasn’t exactly getting of to the best of starts.
After much discussion about what job I was to be placed in, it was decided that I would be Catelyn Stark’s handmaiden, and if needed, I would assist with the care of the horses. If I was honest, I would have much rather had that role permanently than this, but I was not in any position to argue.
“Y/N, please draw a bath for me.”  Robb’s mother sighed as she entered her room. I frowned slightly, remembering learning from my mother that those particular tasks were almost always reserved for women of lowborn status. She turned and glanced back at me. “You heard my words.”
I nodded silently before doing as she instructed, beginning to fill the tub for her as she began to speak once more.
“I will remind you that since you chose to stay here in Winterfell, your status with House Y/L/N is erased permanently. You have betrayed your family, and chosen to stay with us. Your allegiance is with House Stark, and your identity is in House Stark. You are no longer in House Y/L/N, and you will start at the bottom, where you will most likely remain. You are now nothing. You are now no one. Remember that.”
I remained silent, as memories with my family flashed through my head. Would it have been better if I had stayed? Was losing my own identity worth not marrying that horrible man?
A hand touched my shoulder and I jumped slightly, looking back to see Catelyn Stark standing behind me. Her eyes were hard and skeptical. “And how do you reply, Y/N?”
“Yes, my Lady.”
“Good. Once you finish with this, you may go down to the stables and care for the horses. I will see you tomorrow morning.”
“Yes, my Lady.” I finished my work quietly and quickly, before walking through the door and towards the stable. Tears began to form in my eyes, my heart seeming to break as her words ran through my mind once again.
“You are now nothing. You are now no one.”
I made it to the stables and began to the stable master with his work. As my back was turned to pick up more hay, a familiar voice began to speak behind me.
“Getting used to the new job?”
I turned to see Robb, dressed in his warm furs and looking exceptionally handsome. His eyes were friendly while his smile was warm and inviting. It made hiding back my tears all the worse.
“I’m getting there.” I gave him my best fake smile before putting the last bit of hay into the final stall.
“It’ll take time. Before you know it, you’ll be a true Stark.”
I closed my eyes for a moment and let out a sigh, praying to the Gods that he would leave and that I would be able to release my frustration and pain in whatever means I needed to.
“I’m sure I will be. But I think your mother believes otherwise.”
“What do you mean?” Robb’s voice sounded confused, and I opened my eyes to see him staring at me.  “I don’t think she plans on making me a guest in her House, now or ever.” I gave a small sarcastic laugh as I turned to the Chestnut mare in the stable, stroking her nose softly.  “I will live the life of a handmaid for the rest of my life.”
“Is it really that bad? I mean, wouldn’t it be fair to say that others have lives worse than this? You could have been in a position that was a hell of a lot worse!”
“I’m not trying to come up on top, with having the worst life in Westeros.” I look back at Robb, my frustration bubbling to the top. “I obviously don’t. But she is taking away my identity and my worth, Robb Stark. And she will never accept me for anything other than a slave in her home.”
“How? You were the one who chose to leave your home, not her.” His blue eyes were starting to light up with anger, and I took a step closer to him.
“You don’t understand.” I whispered, my anger disappearing and hopelessness engulfing me as I continued. “And why would you? You are her son.”
“If you are so unhappy here, why don’t you leave?” His voice was bitter, and I winced at the venom that was laced in his words. “I’m sure that the Lannisters would love to have you.”
“The Lannisters want my family dead.” Tears bubbled in my eyes. “But I’m sure that your mother would not mind sending me their way.”
“Why is my mother in the wrong?” His voice grew in volume. “She let you stay here, when you had nowhere else to go.”
“She blackmailed me into staying.” I snapped, my tears starting to fall down my cheeks. “You were there, Robb Stark! She would rather let my ‘husband’ kill me than to let me live the life that I wanted.”
“You could have always just left in the middle of the night.” Robb shook his head, his body tense with anger.
“And you could have just let me die in the woods!” My voice cracked at the words, and I could tell that my words startled him. “I wouldn’t be anyone’s problem if you just left me for dead. I wouldn’t be your problem.”
Without thinking, I moved forward and shoved him in the chest. “Why did you do it? Why did you save me?”
“Y/N...” His eyes were now full of sadness, but I didn’t care. I shoved him again,  making him stumble a few steps backwards.
“Oh... I just lay my hands on you, twice. What’s the punishment for that?” My pain began to wear me down, and I kept trying to shove him backwards. “I’m sure your mother would know.  She already thinks I’m nothing, so I’m sure she wouldn’t mind my execution.”
“Lady Y/N, stop!” His voice was insistent, but I didn’t care.
“I’m not....” A sob escaped my lips. “I am not a Lady. I am nothing, and I am no one.”
And with that, I let myself fall apart completely. I felt my knees give out, but before I could hit the floor, warm arms caught me and pulled me to their chest. I cried softly, burying my head into him, not bothering to push away from him.
“I’m sorry.” I sobbed softly, trying to regain control again. “I’m so sorry.”
“No, you have nothing to apologize for.” His lips brushed against my ear as he spoke. “I did not ever believe my mother could ever be this cruel. Did she really tell you that you were nothing?”
“Yes.” I sniffled.
“I will talk to her.” Robb gently pulled me away from him, tilting my chin to make eye contact. “She is never to say a word like this to you again. You may not have been born a Stark, but that does not mean that you can’t ever be one of us. “
“Thank you.” I wiped the remaining tear on my cheek as I looked at him. I did not have the energy left to convince him not to. But even more, I knew that if he had said something to her, maybe some things could change. Maybe she would change. But it all depended if Lady Stark would listen to her son, the King of the North.
It was silent a moment before he smiled and said, “As much as I love my mother, I wouldn’t let her hurt people I care about. I won’t let her do it anymore.”
“You care about me?” I giggled softly. “You’ve only known me for a few months.”
“Don’t laugh at me.” Robb chuckled and rolled his eyes slightly. “I’m being honest with you here. And trust me, I’m not this honest with just anyone.”
“I know. “ My eyes lingered on his face a moment longer, my heart feeling something other than sadness for a few moments. My eyes moved down to his lips, before looking back up. “But I’m-”
“Don’t.” Robb shook his head, slowly starting to lean in.
“But your mother said-”
“We went over this.” His voice was at a gentle whisper, one of his hands rising to cup my face gently. “You are not nothing. And you are not no one, either. You are Y/N, a stunning girl who I met because my brother was careless and accidentally shot you in the forest.  You have no idea how lucky I am to have met you.”
My lips parted to say words, but nothing came out. A moment later, a soft pair of lips came into contact with mine. Whatever sadness had filled my heart was slowly starting to melt away, replaced by a feeling that I could only describe as warm. Our lips moved in sync for several moments before he pulled away gently.
“I want you here.” Robb said softly, his hands moving to hold mine. “And I promise you, that you are more than just a handmaiden. No matter what anyone says, you mean the world to me.”
“And you, for me.” I blushed, and he smiled.
“As much as I would like to stay here in the stables,” He stood up, and helped me up after. “I do have other places to be. But before that, could I walk with you back to your room?”
“Of course.” I took his arm when he offered it, and we walked back towards where I was staying. When we paused in front of the door, he gazed down at me gently, before leaning in and kissing me once more.
“I will see you later, love.” His eyes were bright, and he squeezed my hand once more before turning to leave as I entered my room.
3rd Person POV
Little did the two young adults know... that Catelyn Stark had been silently watching the exchange from afar. Her physical expression was calm, but inside, she was furious.
She knew she had to do something, but she did not know what. An idea popped into her mind, and Catelyn smiled as she walked back towards her chambers, finding a sheet of parchment and a quill alongside a pot of ink.
For the next thirty minutes, she wrote diligently but delicately on the piece of parchment before sealing it shut with her seal. Above the seal, she wrote in perfect script,
To The House of Y/L/N
Catelyn Stark smiled slightly as she stared at the letter, which described how Y/N had deserted her family in order to avoid marriage. How she had tried to find refuge in the House of Stark. How she expected to be treated with hospitality when she had betrayed her own parent’s trust and their agreement with another.
She knew she could use this, but she also knew that this very moment wasn’t the right one. If Catelyn Stark wanted, the letter would reach Y/N’s house before  midday the following day if it was entrusted to the fastest rider.
Lady Stark could ruin this little girls life before it really even begun. Maybe she would even end it.
With a gentle sigh, she stood up from her seat and placed the letter underneath a book on her nightstand before laying down in her bed.
When the right time came, Catelyn Stark would use this letter.
All she could do now was wait for that day to come.
---
A/N: Wowsa. Thatttt was a lot to take in. XD Anyway, moving on... updating schedule! So, I’m having a pretty full summer. I’m going to Europe to study abroad for six weeks starting at the end of June and then coming back around mid august. I will have my laptop with me, but I do not know how often I will have access to the internet. During that time, updates will be whenever I can, so basically pretty spontaneous. If things change, I will let you know.
Until then, I will be updating every Friday, guaranteed. If I have a bit of extra time during the week, I will have extra updates, but those are just based on how much free time I have.  When I start up my second year at college, I may need to shift my update schedule, but that is not until September, so we won’t have to worry about that for awhile.
Thanks for reading,

Almost Home Pt.3 (Robb Stark x Reader)
A/N: Alright! I’m back! I’m gonna try to be more frequent with my updating, I promise! Enjoy!

Y/N’s POV
My shoulder healed impressively as the days passed, but my fear for my future prevented me from wanting to leave the comforts of my bed.  Grey Wind lay next to me warm blankets, his head resting gently on my lap as I stroked his ears softly.
“I guess Robb was right.” I smiled softly as I looked down at the dire wolf. “You are quite cuddly.”
Not even a second later, the door was opened and my eyes flashed up to see  Robb. His eyes lit up and a smile pulled at the corners of his lips, but my eyes moved past him to see a woman behind him.  My heart nearly stopped beating entirely as I knew that it could be no other than his mother, Lady Catelyn Stark.
“I see the fear in your eyes, Lady Y/N, and I assure you, there is no need for it.” Her eyes were not angry, only calm, reassuring me slightly as she approached my bedside. “There are a few things that we must speak of, regarding your family. Robb has told me your story, but I wish to hear it from you as well.”
My breath hitched in my throat for a moment, but after catching a glimpse of reassurance in Robb’s eyes, I began to tell my story. There was no anger on Lady Stark’s face, something that I had irrationally feared from the beginning. In fact, there was no emotion at all.
As soon I had spoken my last word of my story, she let out a soft sigh and closed her eyes for a moment before opening them once more. “Your story is certainly unique... and you would almost certainly be killed if you returned home.”
I could only sit there, almost paralyzed with the fear that she would send me away, as the thoughts rain through her head. Her eyes flickered up to mine before she spoke again.
“Here is what I can offer you.  You may stay, but not as a guest in our house. You must earn your place here, and I think your talents would be great use to us.”
“But Mother-” My gaze turned to Robb, disbelief flashing across his face.
“That is enough, Robb.” Lady Stark’s voice was clipped as she glanced over to her son. “You may remain silent, or you may leave.”
A small sigh was the only response she received, and she turned back to me. “ If you do not accept this deal, you will be returned to your home, where your fate will rest with your... husband. The choice is yours. “
“I don’t have much experience with choirs.” I spoke softly, my voice almost gone entirely as her threat hung lightly in the air.
“Then you will learn, my love.” Lady Catelyn Stark stood up from the bed, and smiled slightly before adding, “ I will give you a day or two more to heal, but once your injury is well, you will begin to pay for your stay through work. Otherwise, my son Robb will make sure you return home safely. “  She walked to the door before turning to look at me. “Let my son know when you have made your decision, Y/N.”  And with that... she left the room and was gone.
The lump that was growing in my throat was threatening to burst, and I couldn’t bear to make eye contact with Robb. My fingers ran through Grey WInd’s fur gently, praying that he would leave without another word.
“Lady Y/N...”
“I’m not a Lady anymore, My Lord.” I let out a gentle breathe, trying to keep myself composed. “At least, not if I chose to stay. But that is the only option I have left.”
His footsteps drew near to my bed, and I closed my eyes as his hand brushed against my face, tilting my head up. “Please open your eyes.”
I let my eyes flutter open and meet his.
“You’ll always be a Lady to me.”
“But not to your mother...” I looked away.
“You can always run away. I can get your horse ready, and you can leave at dawn.”
“Lady Stark would alert my family...” I sighed, and shrugged. “There’s no use. “
“Maybe it won’t be so bad here.”  Robb smiled softly. “You’ll have me here.”
“Maybe you’re right.” My heart fluttered slightly, both at his words and the proximity of his face to mine.  His eyes flickered down to my lips for a moment before meeting my eyes again.
He chuckled softly as he stood up. “You already made Grey Wind fall in love with you. Who knows? Over time, you could win over my mother.”
“Maybe so.” I laughed softly, as I continent to pet the dire wolf gently.
“I will let you rest, Lady Y/N.” Robb smiled before moving toward the door.
“Robb-”
“Don’t say it.” He turned and gave me a playful glare. “You are a Lady, no matter what anyone says, even my own mother. Now get some rest... I’ll visit you tomorrow.”
“Okay.” I smiled in defeat, and watched as he closed the door behind him. I turned to look at Grey Wind. “Maybe this won’t be too bad after all. “

Y/N’s POV
Something soft and slightly wet nudged my hand, and I felt my eyebrows start to pull together as I moved away from it. A few seconds later, it happened again and I allowed for my eyelids to flutter open. My eyes widened as my gaze fell upon a dire wolf. My breathing sped up as I tried to move away from the great beast, but let out a groan as a burning pain spread throughout my shoulder.
“Be still, My Lady. You wouldn’t want to bleed through your bandages again.” My eyes shot up to see my savior standing a few feet away. His eyes were soft as he leaned against the edge of the door way.
“Y-You have a dire wolf?” I asked, stunned as the animal moved closer to the bed.
“Yes.” A small smile lifted up the corners of his lips. “But he won’t bite... unless provoked, or if you’re a Lannister. “
“I guess I have nothing to worry about then.” I leaned back into the pillows gently, and softly pet the dire wolf’s head. “What is his name?”
“Grey Wind. But I think the more important question is who are you?”
“It’s a long story.” I sighed and looked down at Grey Wind, finding more interest in him than discussing what horrors I had left behind at home.
“I have time.” The bed dipped and I looked up to see the man sitting next to me. His blue eyes were full of curiosity as he smiled at me. “If it helps... I can start. I am Robb Stark, of the House Stark.”
“I guess it helps that I know a little about you.” I smile gently before continuing. “I’m Y/N Y/L/N of House Y/L/N.”
“What’re you doing out in the middle of the woods?” He looked genuinely confused.
“Running away...” My fingers gently stroked Grey Winds ears. “My father was going to marry me off to a Lord, but...”
“But what?”
“I wouldn’t have been living anymore if I had married him.” My eyes flickered to meet his. “I would’ve just been an object, something that he could use if he got bored, or disposed of if I angered him. I don’t want a life like that.”
“How do you know that he was so cruel?” Robb asked, his eyebrows furrowed.
“He was an older man, but when he touched me and spoke...” An unpleasant shiver ran down my spine at the thought of Ser Smallwood. “I knew I couldn’t stay.”
Robb sat silently, and I looked at him.
“Are you going to take me back?” I asked softly, a lump growing in my throat and my heart beginning to sink.
“It’s his right to have you.” Robb said softly. “But Gods know what would happen if you went back now.”
I sat silently as I watched him think, fright filling me from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. My fate rested on his hands. “Do what you must.”
“It is not my intention to have you killed or hurt, My Lady.” Robb’s hand moved to touch mine, and a strange warmth filled my body. “You are far too lovely to have that happen. But I must talk to my mother before I decide to let you stay.”
“I understand.” I nod gently and he smiled before standing up and letting go of my hand.
“Rest easy, Lady Y/N Y/L/N. The Maester was able to heal your wound, but I don’t want you tearing it open again.”
“I won’t do anything stupid.” I laughed softly as I slowly snuggled myself deeper under the covers.
“Just to make sure, I’ll leave Grey Wind with you. Once you get to know him, he really is quite cuddly.”
“Like a dog?” I glance down at the dire wolf.
“Yes... but even better than a dog.” My eyes turned and made eye contact with Robb’s. My heart jumped slightly in my chest as our gaze held for several seconds. “I must leave, but I will stop by again in a few hours. Rest well.”
“Thank you.” I watched as he opened the door and slipped out before gently closing it behind him. I sighed and glanced over at Grey Wind. “I really hope you’re as cuddly as he says you are.”

Almost Home Pt.1 (Robb Stark x Reader)
Y/N's POV
Tears fell steadily from my eyes as I rode through the thick trees, wincing as a branch cut my cheek slightly.  I had only been riding for little more than a few hours but it had felt like an eternity. I wanted so badly to turn and ride home, but I knew what dangers lay for me there.
-
My heart nearly dropped to my stomach as I looked upon my betrothed. Not a handsome prince, but a man several years older than my own father. His teeth were stained, and his face wrinkled. His clothes were ruffled and it appeared than he was a drunk. A very bad one.
"My daughter, you will be wed to Ser Larris Smallwood within the next week."
"I wonder what else he has that is small." My sister mumbled softly from beside me.
If the situation had been any different, I would've laughed. If my virtue wasn't being sold to some old man for the sake of honor, a smile would've graced my lips. But it was not so. My father and mother exchanged a final few words with the man before pushing me gently to speak with my 'betrothed'.
A cold hand grasped my wrist and a sharp gasp escaped my lips as he pulled me into him. "I cannot wait to see what hides behind these clothes, my lady."
I had to hold back a gag as a stench wafted from his mouth, and the tears prickled in my eyes as his eyes scanned down my body in anticipation of what would be his right the moment we were wed. After a moment, his grip released and I slowly stepped away.  The man and my father began to converse and left the tent to my mother, my sister, and myself.
A small sob escaped my lips, which was quickly silenced by a sharp look from my mother. She moved to stand in front of me and gripped my chin tightly between her fingers. "You will not release another sound like that from now on, and not even on your death bed. You will marry Ser Larris Smallwood, without another complaint. Am I understood?"
"Yes." I whispered softly, and she released her grip on my chin before walking from the tent silently, beckoning my sister to follow. I was left alone in my sorrow, and I slowly let myself lower to the ground,  not caring that the wet grass from dampening my skirts. That was the least of any of my problems. I could not marry that man. Not for honor,  and not even for my family. But I knew that if I left, I could never come back.  If I did... at the very least, I would be disowned. At the worst... I could lose my head.
Several hours later, after the sun had disappeared and the stars had speckled the velvety black sky, I slipped from my tent and made my way to the horses. I quietly started to put the saddle onto Frost, my white stallion.
"I have something for you." I nearly jumped out of my skin as I turned to see  my sister standing behind me. Her eyes  were sad as she walked closer to me, holding two loafs of bread and a container of water. "I don't want you to starve or die of thirst."
"How did you know?"
"The moment you saw Ser Smallwood, I knew that you wouldn't want to stay." Her voice was gentle. "I know you are loyal to this family, but you know what you want, and it wasn't that man. I won't tell anyone where you've gone. I just want you to be happy."
I smiled and tucked the gifts away into a satchel on the saddle before embracing (Y/S/N) gently before pulling away. "Thank you. Keep everyone safe... and tell them I'm sorry... one day." I climbed onto Frost, and trotted slowly to the edge of camp. I glanced back one more time at my sister, before galloping into the dark woods.
-
It had been hours since I had left camp, and the sun had began to rise, sparkling through the branches in the trees. I had ridden off in hopes that maybe I would find somewhere new to start. I didn't know where, but somewhere that no one would know my name.
A moment later, I felt myself fall off of Frost, and onto the forest floor. My hearing began to ring and my vision blur as I felt myself slowly begin to be engulfed in pain. My head turned to the side, to see an arrow lodged into my left shoulder. Loud voices began to shout around me, and I winced slightly as they grew closer. A face leaned into my vision, and my eyes focused in on a handsome male face. Thick curls framed his face and his blue eyes were full of concern as he stared down at me. "My Lady? Can you hear me?"
My lips parted to answer, but I felt a small trickle of blood slide from the corner of my mouth. The concern transformed into alarm, and he moved to pick up my body. "Don't worry, I'll take you somewhere safe. You need to stay awake for me, My Lady."
The next few moments were a blur, but soon, we began to move rapidly. I noticed that we were on Frost again, this misterous stranger supporting my body from behind as he urged my horse faster to wherever he was taking us. His strong arms were tucked close to my body, in order to prevent me from falling off the horse.
My head begin to spin, my consciousness seeping away almost as steadily as the blood from my shoulder. I leaned my head back against the man's shoulder, a small groan of pain escaping my lips. "Stay awake, My Lady. We're almost home."
"H...H...Home." My voice cracked as the word escaped my lips, and my mind flashed back to the home I had left behind, my heart almost splitting in two. My eyelids fluttered, and the last thing I remembered before my vision went dark was the gentle repeat of my savior's words to stay awake.
