I’ve been noticing that there is no reliable place for the BBC Robin Hood fandom to find Screencaps on episodes, and that’s a crime. I might just fix that.
If anything, I’ll post them on the fanblog I made for the show @robinhoodbbc

New Opportunities (Guy of Gisborne x Reader)
IMAGINE: (No Marian in this world)
You’re a villager who lives in Blidsworth, but has just moved there from far away. Your old village was starving due to crop failure, so your family had no choice but to move. Your father, a highly skilled blacksmith, tells your family that he would like to visit a nearby village named Locksley after learning of Master Robin Hood. Your father hopes he can acquire a position for making arrow heads and swords for him, because Blidsworth already has a blacksmith working for Master Chidburry, a man who has made you uncomfortable since the first day you met him. When your father goes to Locksley, he is told that Robin has been gone for two years, fighting in the Holy Land for King Richard. It turns out that a man named Sir Guy of Gisborne, who you’ve heard is a cruel man, is watching over Locksley and is collecting taxes from nearby villages for the Sheriff of Nottingham. As your family settles in at Blidsworth, you’re all warned that taxes are going to be collected at the end of the month. Your family isn’t poor, really a step down from being rich with all the money you have, but you all wouldn’t survive that type of life anyway. Your father loves what he does and you interact with commoners better than the rich. Your mother and father try and hide most of their money from Sir Guy and his guards. But it’s not good enough.
Part One
Blidsworth (Arrow Noise)
“I have tried to be lenient on all of you!” Sir Guy yells at the crowd of villagers. “Go into their homes, see what you can find,” he says to his guards. The guards run from him in all directions, entering people’s houses.
You help your mother and father find a place to hide all the bags of gold coins—which is all the money your family has. “They won’t find it, Gertrude, I know they won’t. We’ll be fine, okay my darling?” you hear your father say to your mother.
“We should have never moved here! If I’d known this is how people are treated nowadays! If only Master Robin was here, Melvin! He would help us! But no, he’s off, fighting in a war! We will not let that man out there take our money!” You can’t blame your mother for being so upset. You all had just left your old village, hoping for a new life, and are now being treated like criminals.
“Everyone out of the house! We have orders to search every crevice!” a guard shouts as he walks into your house with two others. Your family stands still, letting your pride get the best of you all. “I said out!”
“Hopefully you find nothing,” your mother spats at them as you all walk out of your home. When you get outside, there are cries and screams of anguish coming from all around. If your family knew this was going to happen, you would have given some coins out to your fellow villagers. But there is nothing you can do now but watch.
That’s all Sir Guy is doing. He’s got a shit-eating grin smeared across his face and that makes your blood boil. Who gets off watching people suffer like this?
As your family is standing nervously in front of your home, an old man is thrown out of his home and onto the ground. You recognize him right away as the old man who gave your family bread on the first day of your arrival. He was kind and caring, and he didn’t deserve that treatment!
Sir Guy is turned away on his horse and is talking to some of his guards. This is your chance. You run away from your parents who shout at you to come back. You’re not going to stand around and watch an old man die! The guard had his sword pointed down at the old man, that you remember is named Gregory, who is on his knees, ready to take the punishment.
“Leave him alone!” you shout, stepping in front of the sword and blocking Gregory.
“(Y/N), please, you don’t have to do this for me,” Gregory says to you.
“Get out of the way, girl, or you’ll get it, too!”
“What is going on, here?” you hear a deep voice behind you ask. Another guard? You stand in front of the sword still, not turning around to greet the speaker.
“This man should not pay for his life for a crime so petty. I want to talk with Sir Guy about this,” you say to the speaker.
“Who are you to talk with me?” the speaker asks. You turn around and find that it’s Guy who says this. The shit-eating grin is still on his face. “What has the man done that this girl is willing to risk her life for?” he asks the guard.
“He would not allow me into his home and attacked me,” the guard says.
“Put your sword away. I’ll deal with him,” Guy says, pulling Gregory on to his feet.
“What are you going to do to him?” you ask Guy, who is walking away with Gregory.
“It is none of your concern, girl,” he says back, coldly.
“It is my concern if I can spare him from what you are about to do!” Guy stops walking, and turns around to face you, his lips are slightly parted like he’s about to say something.
“I can give you money. That’s what you want, right? I can give you as much as you’re taking from these people—if you give their own back to them and spare this man.”
“And how do you have all of this money? Did you steal it?” his voice booms across the village.
“Of course not! My father earned every coin by working hard as a blacksmith. Please, let me go get it.”
“You are in no position to make an exchange with me! I—”
“No! You can’t! Please, not all of it!” you hear your father yell from back at your home. A guard pushes him to the ground as he tries to take the money out of the guard’s hands.
“Father,” you whisper. You run from your spot and hear Guy yell at his guards to go after you. “Father!” You fall to your hands and knees as you watch the guard stab your father in the stomach with his sword. You scramble to your feet and get close enough to land on your knees again next to your father, who was still alive.
“(Y/N), I love you, you know that, right? Don’t let this world eat you alive. Keep fighting and never change who you are. You’ll do that for me, won’t you?”
“I promise, Father,” you say while grasping his hands. “You’re not going anywhere, okay? Stay with us, please!”
“Oh, Melvin!” your mother cries, on the other side of your father as his eyes close and his hands go limp.
In a spurt of anger, you jump to your feet and start attacking the guard that killed your father. You slam your fists against his chest repeatedly until he shoves you off him and draws his sword again, ready to kill you next.
“Do it,” you growl, glaring up at the guard.
“Enough! Step back you incompetent fool! I said there was to be no blood shed today!” Guy yells at the guard, finally arriving at the scene. “What had this man done to deserve death?”
“He was hiding all this in his home, sir,” the guard says, pointing down at the pile of bags of money on the ground.
“So, you weren’t lying,” Guy says, looking down at you.
“You heartless, selfish, man!” you shout at him. The guard picks you up and holds your arms back, facing you at Guy.
“I’m not the one who killed your father,” he says, looking away.
“Your tax did! He would still be alive if you would let these people be—”
“I collect the tax for the Sheriff! There is no blood on my hands today.”
“If you believe that, then fine, not today, but what makes you think another innocent won’t die in the future?”
“I’ve had enough of this. Bring all the money to the wagon. We’re leaving, now.” Guy turns and walks away from you. No, you can’t let him take all of your family’s money and the money of the people in your village.
“I wasn’t lying! You said it yourself! Give these people back their money and take all of ours! My father is dead, so I will have to find work, if I even can. There’s enough there to cover for the next tax collection.” This surprisingly stops Guy.
“Oh, we’ll be taking it all. Nothing is going to be given back. With their money, and yours, you’ll all be covered for the next two tax collections.” He begins walking back to his horse again.
“You can’t do this! Have some sympathy for someone who just lost their father! All of their money!” Guy stops walking, again. You like how your demanding voice has some sort of hold over him. He turns back around and walks briskly at you. You hold your composure, but the man definitely terrifies you.
“You want your money back? You want to earn money for these people? I can make you an offer, right here and right now.” Guy impatiently waits for you to respond.
“What offer?” you ask, a bit of anger in your tone.
“My house maid has recently . . . been excused from my household. I can give you the same wages she received, but on the condition that you must live in my home and may not return to your home, only under my say so.”
You can’t work for him! He is a horrible man that only enjoys people’s suffering in life! And the fact that you can’t return home to visit your mother unless he says so makes your skin crawl. Your father is dead because of him, why would he even think you’d work for him?!
He stares down at you, waiting for your response as you think. You turn away from him and look at your mother. She’s crying. For her husband, but especially you. Your eyes widen as she nods her head at you, allowing you to answer yes.
“I accept, but I cannot leave today, please,” you say, looking at your feet. Why is your mother agreeing to this? After all that has just happened!
“You may gather your belongings tonight, but my men will be back first thing tomorrow morning. And I will allow you to keep one bag, on behalf of my guard’s actions,” he says, taking one from the guard next to him. “Give it to your mother.” You take the bag from him and hold it in your hand.
“Thank you,” you say, still avoiding his gaze. Apparently, he doesn’t like this, and grabs your chin to force you to look up at him.
“I’m not as heartless as you think,” he says, and finally lets go of your face. “I’m sorry about your father, he would have been a great asset in my village. I’m always in need of swords.”
You back away from him, not sure of what he says is true, and run to your mother. You hug each other and watch as the man in black leather leaves with his guards.
You give the bag to your mother and angrily walk into the house. “Why did you agree to let me work for him?! Even though he doesn’t admit it, he killed Father!”
“(Y/N)! Your father got himself killed. Now I don’t want to hear any more out of you! You were given the chance to work, not many peasant women get that chance! If it is Gisborne’s money you are bringing home for us, it’s better than tavern money or worse! You must gather your things tonight. I’m sorry it had to come to this. For the both of us and your poor father.”
Before you can get a word out, there’s a knock at the door. Your mother opens it, and Gregory steps in, taking off his hat. “Ma’am. (Y/N).”
“Is he gone yet, Gregory?” your mother asks him.
“Yes. Some of the other men and I are willing to help you bury Melvin. You don’t have to work for him, you know? There are decent jobs for women in Nottingham Town—”
“That’s enough, Gregory. She is working for Gisborne and that’s final. By working for him, she’s taking his money that he has taken from this village. I appreciate your help with my husband,” she says finally, nodding at him.
“You’re welcome, and it’s my honor, really. Your daughter saved my life today, it’s the best I can do to repay her.”
“The best you can do? The best you can do is bring my father back!” you shout at him, then gasp at what you’ve said. “I-I’m sorry, Gregory, I didn’t mean that—”
“(Y/N), go to your room and start packing. We’ll be holding the ceremony tonight for your father, so you’d best get things done now.” Your mother can’t even look at you. Tears form in your eyes as you walk to your room and slam the door shut.
You pack your finest clothes into your bag that your father gave you a few years ago. Why had it come to this? Everything was perfect, well, not perfect, but better before moving to this village! Now you have to be around the very man whose guard killed your father! At least he doesn’t show affection towards you like Chidburry does. You thank God you don’t have to be a maid in that man’s house!
...
Your father’s burial was very emotional. He was a good man and cared for people in this village, even though you all are still new here. The villagers didn’t care about that, though, and still wept for him. You wept for him during the funeral and in your bed. You did not hate your father for trying to get your family's money back. You would have done the same if you were there with him.
Just because you’re working for Gisborne doesn’t mean you have to talk to him, right? You can avoid him as much as you want doing your tasks and only having to see him at supper time. Once you’ve made enough to support your mother and yourself, until you get married that is, you can work in Nottingham Town like Gregory suggested. That way, you can be as far from Gisborne as you can get.
After what feels like hours of crying, you finally fall asleep and get ready for your first day tomorrow of being a maid for Guy at Locksley Manor.

A/N: So, I’ve recently discovered Robin Hood BBC on YouTube and I just love it so much! And I absolutely love Guy! Don’t get me wrong, I do love the storyline as well and Jonas portrays Robin so well! And also don’t get me wrong about Marion not being in here, I love her character, but she would have been to much of a conflict for my story.
Sorry for the long introduction as well, I cut a lot out from what its length used to be! Can’t wait to post Part Two!
If you would like to be tagged in future parts of this, don’t be afraid to ask!
Hope you enjoyed! Happy Reading!
