So.
Kids always get up to wild shit. Especially when their little.
Everyone's parent has a story of how their kid nearly gave them a heart attack.
What stories do the madrigals have regarding your next gen fic?
Oh god, so many.
Like, soooo many.
I decided to do just the biggest heart-attack inducing event for each kid.
Miranda: She's well-behaved, so the biggest moment was when she first got her gift at age eight and almost floated off into the stratosphere XD.
Amelia: At fifteen, she snuck out with her girlfriend and they got caught kissing....rather passionately.
Sofía: Got angsty one time at age ten and decided that she wanted to live in the walls like her father did. She was missing for half a day, and everyone was panicking.
Princesa: At the ripe old age of six, she was experimenting with her gift and almost caused a rock slide.
Fuega: She was twelve, and got so angry at one of the townspeople that instead of bursting into flames, she just straight up passed out for a minute.
Leta: That time she tried to climb the walls of the Encanto and fell like fifty feet, breaking her arm. I'd say she was around sixteen or so.
Andrés: When he first got his gift and just straight up vanished from sight lol.
Carlos: When he duplicated his birthday cake one too many times and made himself sick. He was five, this was the night he got his gift.
Avila: When she was nine, she wanted to see if she could freeze herself in time. Turns out she can, but when she's frozen, she can't unfreeze herself until it wears off. The family was actually very worried that she'd be stuck like that forever.
Amada: Got angry when she was eleven, and went to go sulk in the town's canal. Turns out, her water powers also let her breathe underwater, which no one knew.
Tomás: Tried to hover a giant wagon with his powers, and almost dropped it on his head. He was around eight or so.
Rómulo: When he was seven, he used his super speed to jump out of one of Mariana's portals, and ended up running himself straight into the ground. He was very injured. Did that stop him from doing it again? No.
Zoe: Straight up wandered away from her family while in town when she was five. They spent hours looking for her, only to discover that she'd found a tree to take a nap under.
Hugo: He befriended a big-ass spider, and let it crawl around on his head for a few months, until it died. He was nine.
José: Swindled a few men from the city for around 100 Colombian Pesos. They were not happy, and were actually probably gonna hurt José if they didn't get their money back. Luckily the family were able to yeet them out of the Encanto before anything got bad. José was nine, and very very very grounded.
Héctor: When he was five, he turned into an elephant to show off, and passed out after three seconds of transformation.
Óscar: Soon after he got his gift, he had a huge meltdown because he was seeing ghosts and things that other people couldn't see. The family was worried he was seriously hurt or something.
Beatriz: Was trying so hard to keep a surprise birthday party a secret, she projectile vomited all over the kitchen table. Poor kid was six, and so embarassased.
Lidia: Had a temper tantrum at age five, and made a scribble monster that wrecked havoc on the town until Pepa made it rain.

Enjoying the BEST of LIFE (AZUMI BOUTIQUE HOTEL STAYCATION)
AZUMI BOUTIQUE HOTEL!!!
First of all, I, along with my wife and two kids, would really like to THANK you for the AMAZING and UNFORGETTABLE experience you have given us during our stay! In fact, you made my DAY (my birthday indeed) extra wonderful, to the fullest extent!
I have read reviews about this boutique hotel before we actually decided to book-in and though I found slight negative reviews from other reviewers, I decided to give it a try myself (instead of making impressions from other’s point of views) to experience the stay first hand and to give a personal feedback based from my personal standpoint.
Here is how I rate/review this wonderful hotel after our outstanding 2D/1N staycation (2PM-12NN).

(pix:ctto)
“PLACE/LOCATION”
(Within MADRIGAL BUSINESS PARK near ATC, MOLITO Building along Zapote-Alabang Road)
Coming from Bacoor, Cavite, getting to Azumi is not much of a hard deal (but I have to admit, I am not used to hanging out in Madrigal Business Park/Muntinlupa area so we relied on “Google Map” and of course Manong driver to get here.
Being the most practical person on earth (that’s for real), we decided to use the modest form of public transportation instead of taxi/grab/uber (JEEPNEY alabang route) to get here. We told Manong Jeepney Driver to alight us at Puregold Molito which he is very familiar of (15php fare). Around 15-20 minutes since we left from our place in Bacoor (at 230PM), we finally reached Puregold Molito and from there, I saw this towering skyscraper and because of pictures over the internet and of course with the help of my brother google map, I know to myself right there that we are now standing a few blocks away to our destination for the next 24 hours.
PERSONAL RATING: 10/10 Notes: The hotel is located very near the main road that makes it so much easier to locate. The road to the place is very accessible indeed even to commuters like me.

(pix:ctto)
“ENTRY TO THE HOTEL”
As we took public transportation, we entered through the main lobby of the hotel and were greeted with wide smiles by the security personnel, front desk officers and other staffs even from a distance. I told my wife to wait for me as I proceed to the front desk area to confirm our reservation.
The lady front desk officer greeted me and asked for the details of my reservation. (We booked a Queens room) After giving all the info, she explained to me the house rules in a polite and endearing way which was a thumbs-up for me. Later, she handed me the key card along with wifi tickets and breakfast buffet coupons for two at romulo’s café for the next morning. (note that you need to give a 1k deposit during check in which is fully refundable upon check out). After which, we were directed to the elevator leading us to our room (1015) at the 10th floor.
PERSONAL RATING: 10/10 Notes: The lobby, as well as the interior designs of the receiving area is scented, clean and is very nice. The personnel are trained, polite and courteous to guests.

“THE ROOM”
Because of the various reviews and researches I made before we stayed, we actually know what to expect inside our rooms- from the design, color, even the location and structure of the comfort rooms, etc.
But when we got inside our designated room (Note that the keycards are working efficiently), we got overwhelmed because the room itself is much better in personal than those seen in pictures. The room is already cold inside and everything (mattress, beddings, pillows, etc) seems to be in perfect order.
Here are just some of the NICE things inside the room:
MICROWAVE
SPACIOUS FRIDGE (with soda, beers, drinks, etc)
MINI BAR (of goodies and treats)
BALCONY
GLASS TYPE DOOR/WINDOW OVERSEEING ALABANG AREA
QUEENSIZE BED
BIG SOFA BED (perfect if you have kids and you need personal space with your partner lol)
TOP OF THE LINE FLAT SCREEN TV
AC
WATER HEATER
TELEPHONE
PERSONAL VAULT
CABLE
SINK
WIFI ACCESS (full speed)
Etc etc.
The hotel also offers spa, massage, food orders and many other amenities for which details are placed visibly inside the room. You can also request for HAIR BLOWER, IRON and other personal things that one might need during the stay.
Also, minutes after we got in, the phone rang and it was from the front desk asking if everything in the room is fine and if there is a problem or a request, we were told to call them anytime of the day, 24/7. (HOW SWEET IS THAT?)
PERSONAL RATING: 9/10 Notes: Though everything inside looked great and picturesque, we found that the lock to the glass door leading to the balcony is broken making it essentially dangerous for families who have kids that could sneak around to the balcony easily and might cause serious trouble if left alone (please see below how this has been addressed).
Tumblr media
(pix:ctto)
”STAFF/ ROOM MANAGEMENT”
As mentioned above, we found that the lock of the glass panel leading to the balcony was broken so we URGENTLY called the attention of the front desk officers via phone and was told that they will have someone to check it very soon. Minutes later, we heard a knock on our door and it was a guy from the maintenance team. After tightening up some screws, the door was fixed, good as new, in less than a minute. Minutes after, I found it hard to use the TV/Cable as the channels were preset so again we dialed to the front officers and was advised again to wait in a few minutes as they will again have someone to fix it for us.
Overall, I guess I called to the front desk officers at least 9x during our stay for different inquries/requests such as Hair blower, shuttle service inquiry, extra towels, extra doormats, laundry bags, (etc) even DISHWASHING liquid for our plates (I was asking if they are selling dishwashing liquid instead of us going out to find one and they are so accommodating enough to provide a free one care of the housekeeping team).
Even though we contacted the front desk team a number of times, we didn’t feel any irate reaction from them, but instead, we are being taken cared of accordingly every time we have a request/concern that has to be addressed.
PERSONAL RATING: 10/10 Notes: Staff really know how to handle clients. PERIOD.

“ROOFTOP POOL AREA”
If you have done research before going to AZUMI BOUTIQUE HOTEL, you should know by now that this is one of the highlights of this place. Right after some “instagrammable” shots inside our room, we along with the kids, decided to change clothes and went straight to the pool area located at “PH” (penthouse) to start an afternoon with splashing waters under the seeding of clouds!
When we got there, a personnel who is around to look after the pool area asked about our room number and automatically gave us 3 thick blankets that we can use during our swimming session (we thought you have to bring your own swimming towel that’s why we brought our own and having free usable towels is great so we do not need to bring home wet towels with us). Plus there are ready tables and chairs and also sunbathing pads that you can use to get a tan skin under the blooming direct sunlight!
The pool area is describable in three words: WOW and WOW! Yes, the infinity rooftop salt water pool is HEAVEN brought to earth!
The water is very clear and you can hardly find anything negative with it and because we went there on a Sunday (assuming that it will be a not-so-crowded day because of the work on Mondays), we feel like we own the pool ourselves!
Aside from us, there is only 1 family of 2 using the pool that time that gave us an “empty EDSA” feel like vibe while swimming and enjoying the cool water!
We swam and swam until the sun went down and from here another thrill unfolds.
From the pool at rooftop of the hotel, you can see the lights of glowing ALABANG skyline and also the clear bright stars above. The pool also turned on their blue lightings that gave the pool better scenery, perfect for your profile pictures.
Definitely, I can say that this is one of the BEST pools EVER that you will have to deal with!
PERSONAL RATING: 8/10 Notes: Wondering why I gave it 8/10? Being a warm blooded guy who hates cold environment, the freezing breeze at the rooftops gave me extreme chills. This rate is personal in a sense and has nothing to do with the hotel. Lol. As I’ve said, the pool area is HEAVEN!

“DINNER/OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION/BREAKFAST”
After a day of load and activities, our bellies went empty and we decided to check out the Molito area to try foods over there as we saw a food market nearby. Because of the accessible location of the hotel, we easily made our way to the molito area and even across Alabang Town Center to have our dinner and to buy snacks. (Don’t get us wrong, the foods/menu/minibar inside Azumi are priced fair enough, even lower than most convenience stores, but we pushed our plan to try different foods around the area instead).
Late night came and we finally rested our backs on the soft spacious bed. The bed sheets and blankets smells good even the AC is working outstanding. (But again, I hate cold rooms so I had major chills again under the blanket lol)
Unlike what I read on some reviews (that’s why I do not rely on other’s reviews that much), I NEVER heard any noise coming from the outside going into our room. Even the slightest of a car horn below never went our ears. PLUS, there are also no “lover’s music” (aside from our own. Lol) from the rooms beside us so the night went 100% peaceful and glaringly calm (and extremely chilling of course).
The next morning came and we set our moods to devour the coming Romulo’s breakfast buffet for two. After taking selfies and groupies within the room and the outside world through the balcony, we changed clothes and went to Romulo’s café to enjoy our delicious breakfast buffet.
Honestly, I have been worried that the hotel/romulo’s might charge us for extra person as we have 4 heads (though 1 is still an infant) and the breakfast buffet tickets we have are only for two persons. BUT, as accommodating as ever, they did not charge us any extra charge for the meal my eldest daughter took and that made us more grateful and delighted with how the management deals with customers in this hotel.
Again, though I read some reviews that the breakfast buffet is not good, well, I sincerely CONTEST to that. The food being served in the buffet table are GREAT even the foreigners who we are with seemed to enjoy every bit of crumbs on their plates! From pancakes, to cereals, to rice meals, veggies and breads, all do taste good and we had a FULL tummy right after.
PERSONAL RATING: 10/10 Notes: The variety and the food on the buffet table are appetizing and savoury. We also had a loooong calm, quiet and satisfying night. More, the availability of dining options around the vicinity is really alluring.
Tumblr media
(pix:ctto)
“CHECK OUT”
Right after our breakfast we gave ourselves a final hooray to the pool area where we swam under the heat of the morning sun (I LOVE IT!!! NO MORE CHILLZ!!) We were there from 930am to 11am until we decided to get back in our room to prepare our departure from the place we called “OUR OWN HOME” for the rest of the night.
We requested for laundry bags for our soaked/wet clothes and it came to our door steps in less than 3 minutes (that’s what you call customer service). 12nn passed by but we are not yet done with our departure preppies and to my surprise the phone NEVER rang EVEN ONCE to remind us that we are getting overboard. UNLIKE in other hotels, they will never put you in the rush to vacate your room. I believe it is already 1240 when we left our rooms and we never heard any reminder/alarms from them either.
When I approach the front desk lady to check out, the first thing she asked me is “How’s your stay sir?”
“We really had a WONDERFUL time!” I responded. After which, I handed her back the key card and what stricken me the most is the trust they will give you. The lady only asked me if we consumed any food from the mini bar and after I gave my answer she said, thank you sir, I hope to see you again.
Yes, she never bothered to have the minibar checked or even the room itself from any damage or missing item and to me that TRUST to the clients is something you cannot find elsewhere.
Tumblr media
“FINAL SAY”
Definitely, (if only the stars will align perfectly for me once again) I wish to have the same opportunity to come back here with my family soon and see how well things will work out the second time around.
Without a doubt, this HOTEL is truly AMAZING and will go BEYOND your expectation as a guest. Indeed, I recommend this hotel to be part of everyone’s wish list if they would like to go for a nice and soothing staycation!
PS: The writer is a proud “class D-E” individual who works as a typical 8-5 office employee who eats PARES and MAMI for dinner on a weekly basis. The goal of this review is to let everyone know of the overall beauty and convenience this hotel brings and that even lower class individuals are treated equally, like your bosses, in top of the line leisure and accommodation facilities such as Azumi Boutique Hotel.

Rómulo Madrigal
Tumblr media
Inspired by @hannahhook7744's Encanto AU, and her own character headcanons.
Third image made using https://picrew.me/en/image_maker/1558575
Fourth image made using https://www.dolldivine.com/la-colombiana
Fifth image is a model of one of the Encanto kids I edited.
Rómulo’s full name is Rómulo Luna Madrigal.
His first name is a reference to the founding twins of Rome, and his middle name means “moon”.
He is the second adopted child of Luisa Madrigal and Juana Aguado.
He has straight black hair, brown skin, and brown eyes. He looks identical to Tomás.
He is ten years old.
He has an older twin brother by seven minutes, Tomás, and a little sister by five years, Zoe.
He is currently uninterested in romance and sex.
His gift is super speed, which is exactly what it says on the tin. He needs to eat more to keep up his energy, and gets tired easily (relatively: he’s still a hyperactive ten year old.) He adores his gift, and uses it to cause mischief and play around the Encanto.
His door portrays him in a running position, with one hand up, the other down, and one of his legs behind him.
The first half of his room is a basic bedroom resembling the nursery, with light blue walls and a wooden floor, where all of his amenities are. But the farther half is a running track, complete with hurdles, and a giant grass field to collapse in.
His symbol is a lightning bolt.
Luisa is an anxious and overprotective mother, which does annoy Rómulo from time to time. But he gets his work ethic (or lack thereof) from her.
Juana is a bit more chill, and therefore, is the favorite parent of both twins.
He has no memory of his birth parents, as he and his twin were adopted when they were three.
Tomás and Rómulo are like two peas in a pod. They like the same things, think the same way, and do everything together. This changes as they grow up, but for now, they’re inseparable.
Both twins are very protective of their baby sister, and often let her tag along on their shenanigans so she doesn’t feel left out.
He mainly hangs out with the other littler kids, Mariana, Avila, Amada, José, and Héctor, and will also spend time with Carlos and Leta.
He gets along best with Julieta, Antonio, and Mariana.
Every morning he does his “rounds” around the Encanto, which is actually just an excuse to run as fast as he possibly can and wake everyone up.
He and Mariana like to use their gifts to do death defying stunts. She opens a portal, he runs through it, then runs back the normal way.
His hair is always messier than his twin’s, because of how fast he goes. He also wears a pair of goggles so his eyes don’t get hurt.
He’s slowly but surely working towards breaking the sound barrier.
He often works in Carlos’ “store,” which he gets an allowance from. He spends it all on toys and candy.
His favorite colors are light blue, light green, light teal, and light purple.

The Future of the Family Madrigal
Inspired by @hannahhook7744's AU, here's what my new Madrigal family tree looks like, roughly twenty-six years after the events of the movie.
I used the scrapped characters from the Encanto Artbook, as well as some early versions of existing characters to round things out.
Tumblr media
EDIT: Added two additional kids, to bring Dolores and Mariano's kid count up to five.
First Row: Pedro Madrigal and Alma Cadenza
Second Row: Félix Castillo, Pepa Madrigal, Alejandra Delgado, Bruno Madrigal, Julieta Madrigal, and Augustín Rojas
Third Row: Antonio Madrigal, Camilo Madrigal, Dolores Madrigal, Miranda Madrigal, Amelia Madrigal, Sofía Madrigal, Isabela Madrigal, Luisa Madrigal, and Mirabel Madrigal
Fourth Row: Marcos Vasquez, Mariano Guzmán, Juana Aguado, Bubo Marquez
Fifth Row (and the one slightly above it): Hugo Madrigal, José Madrigal, Héctor Madrigal, Princesa Madrigal, Fuega Madrigal, Mariana Madrigal, Óscar Madrigal, Beatriz Madrigal, Lidia Madrigal
Sixth Row: Leta Madrigal, Andrés Madrigal, Carlos Madrigal, Avila Madrigal, Amada Madrigal, Tomás Madrigal, Rómulo Madrigal, and Zoe Madrigal
Putting a character and familial guide under the cut, because the tree is m e s s y
Alejandra is Bruno's wife, and Miranda, Amelia, and Sofía are their daughters.
Alejandra is a scrapped character who I think was supposed to be the original founder, and the Julieta Character's mother. She appears to be dead in the version of the story she's in, as we see her statue, but not her. I decided to make her Bruno's wife, as I think he deserves a scary sword wife who loves him and their daughters very much.
Miranda was an early version of Julieta, and Alejandra's daughter. Since the two look near identical, they kinda ended up being a package deal. Miranda is technically Bruno's step-daughter, but that doesn't really matter.
Amelia and Sofía are characters from a very early concept. I threw them in as Bruno's daughters, as I liked the idea of one of Bruno's kids having a 'bad' power.
Marcos is Camilo's husband, and Hugo, José, and Héctor are their sons.
There are so many early concepts of Bruno, that there are no less than three in this tree, and they all look different. Marcos is one of those early concepts, back when Bruno was a skinny twink with bright blue eyes. The name Marco was chosen from a list of potential names for Bruno.
Hugo is an early version of Antonio (there are also a lot of those here), one where he's older and selectively mute.
José seems to be from the same era as the twins, although he doesn't get any notes. He seems like he'd be Camilo's kid in any timeline lol.
Héctor is yet another concept of Antonio, but I thought he looked different enough from Hugo that it worked out. I picked the name as a reference to the movie Coco.
Leta, Andrés, Carlos, Avila, and Amada are Dolores and Mariano's children.
Leta was Pepa's twin sister originally, so I thought it made sense to make her her granddaughter instead.
Andrés is another Bruno, and I thought he looked the most like Dolores out of any of the concept characters. Andre was another potential Bruno name, so I named this version of him that.
Carlos is the infamous beta Camilo. Since Cami doesn't have any bio kids, I gave Carlos to Dolores to explain the simillarites. Plus, he does kind of resemble Mariano.
Avila and Amada are two of the four concept girl cousins in the artbook. Picked them because they have Dolores' ears and Pepa's teeth. @hannahhook7744 showed me a concept character from an early script called Amada, and we discovered that Alma's name was originally going to be Avila (in the 2017 version) so I picked those names. (Thanks Hannah!)
Juana is Luisa's wife, and Tomás, Rómulo, and Zoe are their children.
Juana is an early Pepa, back when her gift was indestructability. I paired them together just because Luisa needs a laid back gf to counteract The Anxiety. Her name is actually a beta Julieta name.
Tomás and Rómulo are a pair of twins that appeared only once in a family portrait. There are very limited boy concepts, so I snagged these guys too. Tomás means "twin" and Rómulo is the Spanish form of Romulus, a very famous twin.
Zoe is from the same era as José, Amelia, and Sofía. She's basically the poster child for Scrapped Encanto Characters.
Bubo is Mirabel's husband and Óscar, Beatriz, and Lidia are their children.
Bubo is Isa's scrapped love interest, but I'd already planned on having Isa stay single when I learned about him, so I ditched the OC I gave to Mirabel, and gave Bubo to her. They both have glasses, so I think they'd be cute together.
Óscar is the third Bruno, and the one who gets the Óscar name. I was originally using a different Óscar, but figured that this one looks the most like Bubo. The name is the most widely used name for beta Bruno.
Beatriz is a beta Mirabel, so obviously I made her her daughter.
Lidia is a Luisa, and looks decently enough like canon Mirabel and Bubo. Lidia was supposedly Luisa's name before it was Luisa.
Isabela has no partner, but Princesa, Fuega, and Mariana are her daughters.
Princesa is a bit of an enigma to me. I think she was supposed to be an aunt of some kind, maybe Augustín's sister? It's never made very clear. She's shown to be dating/married to a beta Mariano, and potentially the mother of the four girl cousins? Anyway, I aged her down so I could use her as Isabela's daughter.
Fuega was supposed to be Isabela's other sister/cousin, one who was jealous of her gift and 'perfect' status.
Mariana seems to be a veeeeery early version of Mirabel. The name also stems from an early version of Mirabel.
I have bios for all the kids, I just need to post them.

Tomás and Rómulo Madrigal Claims
Tumblr media
I was surprised I was able to find anything for the boy twins.
The first one in the middle is a concept from the same image that I used for Amelia and Sofía.
The second to last one on the top is from a group image of several kids, including Beatriz and Hugo.
The second on the bottom is from the same concept as a younger Princesa/ the little blonde cousin.
All this concept art was found in the Encanto Artbook (https://disney-studios-awards.s3.amazonaws.com/encanto/books/flipJSi56TV4ke/index.html)
The first image on the bottom, and the last image on the top are edits of one of the Encanto kids I did.
The first image on top and the last image on the bottom were made using (https://www.dolldivine.com/la-colombiana)
The second image on top and the third image on the bottom were made using (https://picrew.me/en/image_maker/1414503)
This series is based on @hannahhook7744's own, here

Note
When in super speed, Rómulo will accidentally collide with something, resulting in a decent gash on his head and one of Julieta's arepas.
This is based off my own experience where, aged seven, I was so excited for swimming lessons after school that I ran straight ahead into the changing area, not looking where I was going and promptly collided with the sharp corner of a hand dryer. We did not go swimming that day and instead spent five hours waiting in accident and emergency to get my head glued. I don't remember too much other than a lot of blood and being upset that my sisters could go in the play area whilst waiting and I couldn't. And Fairly Odd Parents playing on the telly, it was part of the Channel Chasers episode I think? The one where it has the intro redone but with monkeys
He's absolutely done this more than once, lol!
One of his biggest accidents ever was running himself into the ground and seriously injuring himself.
Lucky for him (and the other Madrigals) Julieta can heal.
