Today in johns music world
So , I pulled out the final DMX album for a spin today . Honestly , I haven’t listened to a ton of his stuff but have enjoyed what I have heard .I only own one album .I do feel for what he went through in his life , from growing up in a cult to struggling with substance abuse .
That being said I really enjoy this album .Some nice guest spots too from Bono to Jay-Z, Nas and Snoop Dogg .Pretty star filled record .solid beats and rhymes throughout. I wonder what we would have heard from him if he lived longer .
I also gave he Danger Mouse / Black thought album a spin .This was one of the better records from last year .Coming from some of the master of the game I particularly enjoyed the track with Run the jewels .
Changing moods I then listened to Wilcos Sky Blue Sky .Most likely my fave Wilco record .Just a great chill out vibe on this one .They really hit the he nail on the head here .As good as anything they have done on my opinion. .
So that was my evening of music listening.
Hope yours was just as good .
