{ Hey guys I had a look on the FAQ and couldn't really see anything upon this, but do you have any idea as to what and how semesters/terms work with you via college/school/uni etc? Like when Semester starts/ends, semester breaks etc. and if they coincide with our times (for example if RT's semesters start in September, does it start in September for RL time? Thank youu <3 }
Hello! Thank you for your question. As it stands, we have not had the chance to answer this question for the city of Bellevue yet! Please allow me to explain how each school works here in our fair city.
Elementary and Secondary schools start their year in September and will remain in school until the first week of July. That means that as of Friday of last week, all of our underage muses would typically be finished school for the summer, now! Secondary school classes generally begin at 8:30am and end at 3:30pm. Elementary school days begin at 9:00am and end at 4:00pm.
University and Colleges begin their fall terms in the last week of September, and carry on through until the first week of December. Spring terms begin during the first week of January and end the second week of March. Summer terms last from the second week of April until the third week of June! Class times will vary from student to student, as both Enyo and Oakville offer classes on all days of the week, during both the daytime and nighttime.
For simplicity’s sake, here is a simplified list:
Brockgrove Elementary School: September - July, 9am-4pmBrockgrove Secondary School: September - July, 8:30am-3:30pmEnyo College: September - December; January - March; April - JuneOakville Academy: September - July, 8:30am - 3:30pmOakville University: September - December; January - March; April - June
Online classes are offered through Oakville Academy, Oakville University, and Enyo College for their respective grades. Students must have parental or guardian permission to enrol in online classes and must maintain a regular presence in volunteer activity.
Persons under the age of 16 MUST attend school. It is the law in the country of Rouves. During the summer months, students are allowed to remain in their dorms if they have filled out a special form requesting to do so, or have special circumstances that the school board is already informed of. Most students, however, choose to return home during break.
To answer your other inquiry, yes, our times coincide with the fictional setting of our group. Please keep this in mind when doing threads from a long time ago!
Thank you for your questions! We hope that this has been answered thoroughly enough to satisfy you. We have made sure to add these schedules to the descriptions for our schooling options, so everyon will be able to find this information easily in the future! Please feel free to send in another question if you would like anything else explained.

Anonymous asked: Hello! I was just wondering if you'll be planning to release more info on the Bewitchers soon? Also, does one need to announce through this blog that they're fated before a Bewitcher can cut their red string??
Greetings! Our apologies for making you wait for an answer, however it was decided among the team that I was best suited to answer this. Thank you for your patience. We have kept your identity anonymous as requested, for your comfort.
It is our plan to release more information on many topics that Red Thread RP touches on in the coming week. You can expect to see informational posts on anything from Bewitchers, the roleplaying side of being ‘fated’ with a red thread, and even a few new topics that we intend to implement in the future (ie. Fateweavers). These will be posted on the city blog sometime during the next two weeks, so please make sure you are following it! Please note that there will definitely be a post on there this week about fating and red threads.
The answer to your second question can be simply answered with a ‘no’. Some of this will be explained more thoroughly with our informational posts mentioned above, but the gist of the matter is that a Bewitcher can sever someone’s thread regardless of if they are fated or not. Everyone is blessed with a soulmate: even if you haven’t plotted out who that is yet in the group. When someone’s thread has been severed, they will feel a great amount of pain as if they have lost a piece of themselves, and their soulmate will as well. Once a thread has been cut, it cannot be repaired except by special circumstances that we will explain later on in another update. Furthermore, a Bewitcher must receive permission from both muns before severing a thread, so you need not worry about someone abusing this power. To summarize, no you do not need to be fated through the blog to have your thread severed, but if you intend to specify a pairing that is ‘fated’, they should be registered with the group.
Hopefully this has cleared some things up for you all! Please note that on top of some informational posts we are planning a few things, including an update to the Bewitcher plot-line, as well as our first AU Weekend. We hope that everyone will keep an eye out for these upcoming events as we are excited to share them!
Thank you for your question~.

Hello, in the latest piece of lore i saw it says a person can be fated to more than one other person. What exactly are the conditions for that to happen? Also is it possible they'd be fated to +2 people but would only realize one of the threads at first?
Good evening! Thank you for your questions~.
Perhaps I am misunderstanding the first question, but there are no conditions for someone to be fated to more than one individual. If someone has more that one soulmate (for example, in a polyamorous situation), then that is simply how things are for those individuals. This does not mean that someone can be fated to multiple people in the sense that each fate would be treated as different events. If someone is fated to more than one person, then those individuals are fated to one another as well.
As for your second inquiry, the answer is a bit more complicated. In theory, it is possible that someone would notice one thread before the other -- perhaps they haven’t quite reached that point in their relationship with the other person. However, new partners may not be added to fated relationships that are already listed on the group. Once a pair is listed on the blog, only plot related events such as Bewitchers or Fateweavers may change that (or, of course, dropping). If you were to advance with the plot as described, that would be entirely up to you and your partners.
Please keep in mind that blogs involved in group fatings must be run by all different muns, and each blog must confirm with the group that they are fating to the other blogs.
We also do not welcome ‘joke’ fate messages, as they only serve to clog up our inbox. So we ask that you are sure about what you are sending when you send it!
We hope this has cleared things up for you. If you have any more questions, whether related to fating or about anything else, please feel free to send us an ask again! Have a wonderful evening~.

((OOC: Hello there lovely mods, I hope everyone has been okay? Seems like it's been a hectic week for everyone, I was just curious about whether or not we are going to be getting that post talking more about the bewitchers or not? I'm assuming because the week has been hectic for everyone it's been delayed a bit, so I was just wondering if there is a ballpark estimate on when we can expect it? Makes plotting a bit easier the more we know. Hope it's okay to ask! ))
Hello! Thank you for checking in─ we’ve all been well, though admittedly, a little busy! We do apologize for the wait. Information will be released once we have compiled it together─ until then, you’re free to plot around the information given on the city blog. Remember that your muses can be aware of the rallies and such, so base your threads on the information they know! Again, we’re sorry for the delay, but we promise we’re working hard to put it together for everyone!

Hello, I'm here with a question. I was wondering how is the policy in the group about poly ships. Like can we do it the involved muns are ok with it? Can the red thread tie more than 2 people? I've been wondering about it since I don't think I saw anything about it on the rules of the group. Thanks for replying~
Hello!Red Thread is proud to welcome any and all types of relationships to be fated through our system. This includes poly relationships, platonic, romantic, or any other type of relationship which our members might wish to explore. All that we ask is all members of the relationship send in separate asks to confirm everyone is on board.
Although unrelated, we do not appreciate joke fates being submitted.
It is also important to note that once characters are fated, they cannot be un-fated without the assistance of a Bewitcher. So please be sure when you are submitting a fate request!
Thank you for your question, and we hope that this has clarified some things for you!

Since you mods told me to ask again here for more details....Why do we have to sign up our muses if we can still attend even without doing so?
Yes, thank you for the question!
You’re free to simply have your muse attend the rally, but the sign up’s will definitely have it’s benefits! It helps the plot of the group, as if you’re RSVP’ing to a party! It will help us get a headcount of the muses participating so we can set the scenes and gauge levels of interest.
However, there will also be other benefits, like receiving special messages regarding the future rallies. We won’t say anything more than that as to avoid ruining the surprise, but it’s definitely something to look forward to!
The reason we are allowing muses to attend without signing up is so that everyone can be included if something happened and they missed the sign ups, such as being busy or joining after sign ups took place. In future rallies, this may be adjusted, so make sure to keep a look out for that.

((OOC: Hello mods, thanks for the great work! A few (maybe dumb) questions. Since all events ended that means all our event threads should be dropped, right? However daily-life threads prior to hiatus can be continued, correct? Another question I have is in regards to the AU/regular threads we had during the hiatus. Can we continue those but not add any new threads based off them? Maybe only reply on AU weekends? Or should they all be dropped? I wanna see how many active threads I still have. ))
Greetings! Thank you for the inquiries: rest assured, they are not dumb in the slightest!
As with the new rules that disallow the continuation of event threads past their end date, the answer to your first question would be yes. Any threads that take place during a previous Red Thread event must be discontinued now, although we greatly encourage you and your thread partners take the time to sum up any loose ends privately so you both know how the experience ended!
However, any daily life threads that do not step outside the boundaries of Red Thread’s canon that are not event-related may be continued, either from before the hiatus or while we were on hiatus.
As this has been addressed already in the group chat, I will take this time to discuss AU threads in general. In the past, Red Thread has not allowed AU threads: and to some extent, we still do not. The answer is no, you will not be allowed to continue any AU threads or AU content you dabbled in while the hiatus was ongoing, nor will you be able to continue them on AU weekends. We ask that any AU threads be discontinued with your return to RTRP.
To explain further, AU Weekends will be somewhat like events in that they are group-sanctioned and pre-planned ahead of time. These will be announced, and will not be every weekend. When we are planning an AU Weekend, the group will be notified via the dashboard, the same as any event announcement. These weekends will be themed AUs, such as a “Pokemon AU” or a “Kingdom AU”. We will allow time for our members to decide if they want to participate, and what role they would like their characters to play if applicable. Once the AU Weekend has begun, our members will be allowed to roleplay in AU Threads that are in accordance with our theme and prior planning. In the future, if an AU Weekend theme is repeated, members are welcome to continue plots as we will be keeping track of the events that pass in these alternate universes.
We hope that the description has given you a better idea of what to expect! If it is unclear, please do not worry about it for the time being as we will be sure to explain in thorough detail once we plan to host one of these specialized weekends.
One thing I would like to specify once more is that these will not be every weekend, and these threads will only be allowed for the duration of the weekend.
Hopefully this has cleared up a few things for you! If you have any more questions, feel free to send them in. Again, thank you for asking as it allowed us to clear up a few topics for other members that might have been wondering!

((OOC: Hello and salutations. Hopefully you aren't dying from the heat wherever you are. I have long since became a slime. I hope it is okay for me to ask, but will the announcements of meme day coming back be coming soon? Sometimes using memes is easier for me to break the ice with. I get intimidated by anyone I haven't talked much with. lol ))
Hello! We understand the enjoyment of meme days, but we are still holding them off until we get more settled into things, specifically getting the plot moving along! We don’t have a specific date in mind, and thank you ahead of time for you patience! We promise that we’ll announce it as soon as we have discussed a date.

[Mods i have a question; i know we are not allowed to continue threads about events before the hiatus, but i was wondering if we are allowed to reference them since certain characters took part in said events.
Hello, thank you for the question!
If your character took place in the event, you may reference back to the thread as you see fit- so long as the event was NOT AU. Any events that took place within group canon are still considered as such, so you’re free to mention them all you’d like! Hope that clears things up!

((OOC: Lovely to see so many people coming back! Neo is here again with more questions because I just want to make sure I understand the rules. So activity counts ic responses that are not one-liners, are event threads (while thread is still ongoing) and daily life threads. Do meme responses only count after it's been made into a thread? I remember meme responses that were over a certain word count and drabbles used to count, does that still stand, or was that changed? ))
We appreciate you taking the time to ask us, we’re always happy to clarify!
You are correct! Meme responses and drabbles used to count if they met a certain requirement, but they no longer count as activity as of our update. However, if a meme is turned into an actual thread, it will then count towards your activity! Hopefully that clears things up for you and, as always, let us know if we can help anymore!

{ Since I would like to develop Edward's character a bit, is it acceptable for me to post something like a 30 days of development? If so would it consume 1 ooc post or count as a meme? Sorry if a question like this has been asked, I'm on mobile rn. }
There’s no need to apologize!Previously in Red Thread, we did have the 30 day challenge, and we are pleased to say that we will be implementing this again very soon! While they will not be counted as OOC posts, they will have their own tag. Also, we will ask that only these questions are used, and not others. So, just be a little more patient and we’ll have them out soon!

((OOC: Out of mere curiosities, what kind of sports teams are there at the colleges? Are we able to have our muses play any sport or are there some sports that wouldn't be available like maybe American football? ))
Hello!
Enyo and Oakville both offer a wide variety of sports between their official teams and clubs, but their main focuses are Football, Basketball, Rugby, and Volleyball! Technically, your muse can play whatever sport you think would fit them, would a good reminder would be that the more obscure the activity is, the fewer players there’ll be!
Hope this helped!

hi mods! i have a quick question for you -- would humanoid characters from the video game Overwatch be acceptable? since they technically aren't drawn, but they aren't real life people, i just thought i'd ask!
Hello!
Characters from Overwatch would be perfectly fine! They are animated and pixel-generated, and therefore welcome within the boundaries of our group. As we have had some characters from Overwatch in the past, we would welcome any others that you or other prospective members would like to bring!
Thank you for your question. Have a lovely day!

Hello, I've never been part of an rp group before and have a few questions. I was wondering what the steps for joining as an OC were, so far from reading I've gathered that I need a separate blog just for rping and not a sideblog, but I'm not sure how to actually submit an application. Do I need multiple blogs if I'd like multiple muses? Is there a job application process for characters?
Hello! Thank you for your interest! I will do my best to answer your questions as simply as I can, for ease. If you are looking to join as an Original Character, you will need to create a new blog. After you have designed it to your liking, you will then have to fill out our Original Character form, which can be located on the forms page on our main blog. Once the form is complete, simply place it on a separate page on your blog (usually on your About/Muse page, if you are familiar with RP on Tumblr in general. Or, a page titled “application”). This page must be visible and easily accessible to both the moderators and the members. You may also post your application as a post on your blog, if that works better for you. Once you have done this and your blog is complete, then you can send us an ask here telling us that your character is complete, and let us know where to find your application on your blog.
There is no job application process for characters. Simply let us know on your application in the specified areas what occupation you would like for your muse! Please check our overview page when doing so, to make sure that there are slots at the job you are listing. You must also list whether your muse is full time or part time, as well as their job position under the venue.
If you wish to have multiple muses, you must create a separate blog for each!
Hopefully this has cleared some things up for you. If you have any more questions, please let us know and one of our moderators will be happy to help!

((OOC: Hello, question! Considering we are being urged to write out these drabble things, and we are writing them IC for a flash event, these do count as activity, right? Or is it because they are drabbles that they don't count? I was under the impression that drabbles written for fun don't count, but ones that are asked for due to an event would count. I'm asking for future 'how much more activity do I need this month' purposes. ))
Hello! Mod A popping on quickly to answer this.
As they are drabbles, as per our rules they do not count for activity. We answered this question previously in our group chat, but we would like to thank you for allowing us the chance to clarify publicly for the whole group! The drabbles for the flash events do not count as activity, as they are not mandatory. Yes, we urge and highly suggest our members take the time to give the events some thought and share those thoughts with everyone, but as it states in the flash event post: the drabbles are not mandatory. As such, they do not count as activity.
For future reference, all drabbles - whether event related, for memes, or for fun, will not count as activity. Our definition of activity is solely counted as threads that are longer than three sentences, and you must have the required number of these posts by the time the activity check takes place.
It is simply our wish to see our community all come together and participate in our group events, which is why we so heavily suggest participating. It’s much more fun for everyone if there are lots of people giving their thoughts and finding an interest in our advancing plot. After all, we believe that is what makes a group: an entire community contributing to one specific umbrella plot, while also building their own stories within the plotlines we provide. We hope that you can understand this desire!
Thank you for your question!

Just letting you guys know that the mobile navigation is broken!
Hello! Thanks for letting us know. Unfortunately, it seems like a Tumblr glitch is messing up the formatting of the description every time we edit the main blog. We’re looking into a fix, but for now, it appears the glitch is preventing us from doing so. We’ll keep looking, and in the meantime, we’re very sorry for the inconvenience!
