Yui Komori (Japanese: 小森 ユイ) is one of ## Survivors currently featured in Dead by Daylight.

She was introduced as the Survivor of CHAPTER ##: Diabolik Lovers, a Chapter DLC released on ## ## of #### and retired on ## ## ####. She is still available in the In-Game Store.

Overview

"Yui Komori is a gentle yet unbreakable soul, scarred by obsession and captivity but driven by an enduring hope that even monsters can be redeemed. Though once surrounded by inescapable cruelty, she carries no hatred, only the will to survive, to soothe, and to protect others from the fate she endured."

Yui Komori was betrayed by the very Church she put her faith into, offered up as a sacrifice to blood-thirsty monsters.

Her personal Perks, Sacrificial Bride, Eve, and Awakened, allow her to rely on herself, withstand the most intense suffering, and survive even against all odds.

Lore

Yui Komori had always clung to faith like a lifeline. After her father, a priest, vanished without a trace, she was sent to live in a mansion under the care of the Sakamaki family. Isolated and uneasy, she discovered that her new guardians were not men at all, but vampires.

Trapped in a cycle of torment, temptation, and twisted affection, Yui's spirit remained unbroken, even as her body bore the marks of survival. Each night became a negotiation between dignity and desperation. And still, somewhere within her, flickered the hope that she could reach the humanity buried deep within her captors.

It didn’t take long for Yui to learn what they truly were. Not protectors, but predators. And yet… not all monsters bared their fangs with cruelty. Some whispered apologies as they hurt you. Some even held your hand when the nightmares came.

Among them, one figure lingered like a shadow... Ryuuto Sakamaki.

He was different. He didn’t fight for her blood with desperation like the others. He didn’t need to. He watched, always. Smiling when she struggled. Tilting his head when she cried. Speaking in riddles that sounded like lullabies...

If the others wanted her body, Ryuuto wanted something worse, her surrender. Her adoration.

Her fear offered willingly, as if it were affection.

She learned how to speak without trembling, how to bleed without weeping. She was a lamb among wolves. But even as her body bore the marks of survival, her spirit remained intact.

And when the voice came, the hallucinations of a woman in black, purple-hair flowing in the breeze, a cruel laugh ringing in her ears... She had far more questions than answers, heart squeezing inside her chest until she could barely breathe. And yet...

She held to her belief - fragile and flickering - that somewhere within these monsters was a soul worth saving. That pain could be endured. That she could still be the light in their darkness, even if it devoured her.

But monsters are greedy.

One evening, during a full moon soaked in crimson, the line between dream and waking finally snapped.

A new voice called her to the mirror. It wasn't the same as before... It didn't have a gender, it didn't come from deep behind her eyes...

It was warm, tempting.

"Do you wish to escape, little lamb? Or do you wish to be chosen?"

She did not remember moving. Only the way the glass parted like smoke. The way the mansion behind her dissolved into rot. The way the cold fog reached for her like arms. And then... silence.

When she awoke, the world was different. Broken. Endless.

But something watched her still.

And that's when she heard it, his voice. Ryuuto.

Not the one from her memory, but one reshaped by the fog. And, that's when she began to think...

Perhaps she never escaped the mansion at all.
