see like I KNEW it was a hard-hitter but I somehow managed to miss a lot of the spoilers immediately after it came out so I never actually knew the specifics and can I just say. it feels will campos just came to my apartment and kicked me down three flights of stairs. nobody's doing it like him. im emailing my professors begging for assignment extensions and the only reason im giving is henrys speech to lark and sparrow. im supposed to be studying but the only thing in my mind is Henry loving his dad despite it all because he cares so deeply about being a good role model to his kids. im eating drywall. walking into the woods. how did any of us know life before dndads s1 e42 henrys father and the chamber of secrets. where is will campos' EGOT.

s1 ep31- he's not in the ep really until the end where eggman starts to attack the restaurant, canonically speaking he's seen running after eggman after or and cu smash the plates butttt if you wanna get more creative he's seen attacking sonic and co with the robots only to sneak away after the battle is over

s1 ep34- is seen in the audience smiling at eggman on bro-down showdown

s1 ep35- at the very end he's seen listening curiously and then saying uh oh with eggman

s1 ep37- is seen participating in pranking sonic and co with eggman, orbot and cubot like trying to move the giant boulder but instead of eggman firing a lazar at it it's stone and then swearing off technology too

s1 ep38- is only seen in the beginning of the episode when eggman is darting around the room

s1 ep39- is seen with eggman at the start of the episode agreeing with eggman and at the end fighting sonic with eggman and not being able to see with all the sheep in the eggmobile

s1 ep41- is comforting eggman after hearing sonic and co got an award and not eggman but in this one stone steals orbot's line of "it's not right sir, you're the greatest genius to ever live the most powerful super villain in the world!", when eggman says he has a lovely singing voice instead of singing to no one he's singing to stone <3,

s1 ep42- is being a sweet partner by finding a way to cheer up eggman with orbot and cubot and might i add at the start of the ep when the fight ends and eggman is upside down stone is hanging on for dear life right side up

s1 ep44- of course he's in this one/pos he's seen with eggman clapping condescendingly at dave and then getting knocked out and captured by dave and bc of the cage size he has to stand very close to eggman which makes him blush profusely, ep plays out as normal but stone is there too and has some lines

s1 ep46- at the end when eggman gets the background music generator and starts to attack the village again stone is majestically on top of the robot ready to fight with them (he gets off the robot before it's destroyed dw) and at the very end awwing at tails and zooey with eggman

s1 ep49- he's being fanned by orbot and cubot with eggman and fanning himself, helps eggman hide all robots, helps make sure eggman charms the hoa and hide the sudden super-charged robots

s1 ep51- is in the start stealing and then fighting sonic and co only to of course lose and get captured, ep plays out as normal but with stone

s1 ep52- it's the season finally of course stone's in this one, ep plays out as normal aka stone fighting with eggman against sonic and co with the other villains, talking, comforting etc

They both try too hard to be masculine 24/7 so I think it’s an interesting dynamic! Anyway sorry for the ramble lol I don’t even have any good ship name ideas u_u

Oh my god pls let me know if you ever write that!! This is one of those ships where I’m like ‘how did I not consider this sooner’?? It’s been plaguing me for a week now. They could have such an interesting dynamic but Ron is so neglected in the shipping scene. And especially in a s2 context because they’re both in Heaven! When Darryl was excited to see Ron when they all went to see him in ep42, the way he said Ron’s name, oh my god. They’ve definitely been hanging out a bunch since we’d last seen them in s1, whether that be on Earth for their beer company or in Heaven because they’re the only two up there besides Mercedes (who seems pretty recently deceased anyways, it’s probably only been a few years).

Also I think Stampson is fine for now, I just want to try giving them a cool non-name one like Christmas Rock, Lovesong, or Gothcleats because those kinds of ship names are so cool.

Plot Summary: Aphmau meets with Ungrth who says that his magical psychic link with Laurance has been broken via the Shadow Lord's magic. Although only a day has passed in the overworld, Laurance has been tortured for over 2 weeks in the nether (and is basically dead). Ungrth asks Aphmau to not go into the nether since it's gotta be a trap since Laurance must kill his Lord to come back to life. Aphmau regroups with Garroth and the guards in Brightport as they plan to attack the nether. Garroth informs Aphmau that the guard oath has been modified with a shadow knight clause, and that any guard who gets corrupted is to be mercy-killed immediately. This isn't a rescue mission.

Yugioh S1 Ep 42: Kaiba's Horrible Tanning Beds

Now that we’re done watching Yugi get completely distracted instead of youknow, resolving this season, now it’s time to see how the resolution of Kaiba’s timeline goes. I’m sure he won’t also get completely distracted.

The moment he said “virtual pod” it was as if the show itself snuck out the back of the room and I had to chase after it like Mokuba just trying to get his brother to fire some assholes (who aren’t in prison for some reason?)

OH OK, SHOW.

I guess we’re doing this now.

Let me just take a second to forget every magical piece of lore I spent the last 42 episodes learning.

We’re going to dive into a computer now.

Please note that Mokuba grabs everyone except for Bakura, because he’s the only one on this show with a sense of reason.

I would be absolutely fine if Kaiba’s virtual world was just this for the rest of this arc, but alas his world is hyper-realistic in a cartoon sense. The way it works is that instead of dueling, you have Pokemon Go encounters. I knew it was inevitable to go into Pokemon territory, I just didn’t think it would be nearly exactly Pokemon except you murder the monster instead of keeping it.

Kaiba basically just invented Nuzlocke Yugioh.

Kaiba’s downfall is just him trying so hard to get this dragon thing to work out when the rest of the world just...really hates his dragons. He spent his entire life just to make a place where he can duel without the worry of psychic interruption, cheating, and overall dragon poaching and what does he get within 2 seconds of stepping into it?

This series of events where a ninja jumps out of nowhere, traps a huge dragon in a small pot, and then throws a 50 ft fishing net on Seto as he just stands there and lets it happen was so bizarre and it happened in a heartbeat. Man, this show just loves dunking on Kaiba every moment it can.

And in case you thought that was enough punishment for one irascible human being, for some reason, he then gets SUPER electrocuted in real life. NICE.

Mokuba grabs a bunch of Kaiba’s cards and takes off through the nearest exit--a vent. He climbed about 40 ft to get to this vent. It’s impressive.

Oh man I hope Croquet makes it, too.

Anyway, Mokuba runs all the way in the rain and thunder to Yugi’s game shop, where I’m pretty sure Joey is secretly living.

Mokuba explains how his brother is trapped in an MMO of his own design and these kids don’t even question it. They took about 6 or 7 episodes to cope with Yugi having parasitic magic powers but Kaiba getting stuck in a computer seems to be something they were almost expecting to happen sooner or later.

Kaiba Corp should really start paying Seto’s classmates for how willing their are to save their ass. Albiet they didn’t do a perfect job of that--but they did manage to do it by the end. But they should at least give them a free pass to the company cafe (which I assume only serves chicken nuggets in the shapes of dragons).

Yugi is Grandpa’s ONLY Grandson, right? Like the only heir to the entire family? Like the only chance he has to leave a lasting mark on this world? He is so willing to let this kid just run off and die. Of course, I shouldn’t judge. Maybe Yugi’s hella annoying and Grandpa just needs some freakin peace and quiet.

They make it to Seto’s secret lab--which is super huge and not at all a secret and has a 60 ft dragon in front of it--where he has 3 pods. Who are the other pods for? Seto has no friends.

UNLESS he always secretly planned to put his classmates inside? I mean one is exactly Yugi-length.

They argue about who goes in which pods but it’s sort of moot because Mokuba’s hella bossy.

And so they leave everything to Tristan to keep them alive. Tristan who admittedly did defeat Bakura last arc so...not the worst choice? Better than putting Joey at the command center.

Youknow, if you entered a VR world that is unfinished, you’d be spending half your time glitching out and getting stuck in walls. Says a lot that Kaiba was able to get those collision boxes correct.

PS the colorist filled in one of Yugi’s bangs in black. I didn’t even catch that at first but he definitely has a wrong bang here. Imagine with me here--just imagine--what if he didn’t have the blonde streaks? Like what if he had the red tint ~and that was it~

But then again, blonde streaks in your bangs was the 00′s thing to do. We were...super into it. And you draped them all over your face. It was a special time.

Anyways, lets electrocute everyone like this is some sort of Tesla Tower.

After admiring Yugi’s very peaceful zen state for a little bit, Tea and Tristan realize they have literally nothing else to do now.

Hey, so like...what if you have to pee while you’re in the pod?

Just saying, how long can you really stay in the pod? Why would Kaiba make a pod that you can’t like...get out of and go outside so you can find the restroom in?

Like there’s a bunch of these spooky VR stories running around and it’s something that always gets to me. What if you have to freakin pee? No one ever thinks about that.

PS, literally all of this is being recorded on camera.

Unfortunately, Kaiba’s brain thingy did not pick up that Yugi is two people and Pharaoh did not get his own avatar. He won’t even show up this episode. Probably too busy throwing more legos all over the floor of Yugis brain room.

These guys run into some dueling stuff that I won’t go over in this review and find a zelda fairy. I think. It’s probably a card or something.

It takes them to a city that is in an arid desert despite being about 10 feet from a forest and...whatever type of mountain that’s called.

This arid desert city is within throwing distance from a forest climate.

I think I figured out why there’s 5 more episodes to this season. At least we don’t have 5 more episodes of Rebecca. Instead it’s just these guys grinding levels in a game that doesn't exist about a game that does exist but is never played this way.

Anyways, I’ll not think too hard about the logic behind that, because it’s time for Tristan and Tea to hang out. Two people who barely have a personality on this show. Lets see if they can manage two minutes on screen.

I really don’t know if he was flirting or just that proud of his beard. But if he was flirting, he really shouldn’t compete about who has the most hair when comparing himself to literally any of his other friends who have volume like real life chia pets.

Anyway, moving on: the mooks have arrived, and they’re making a hell ton of noise for trying to kill these kids.

arm and shin bandages have always kinda bothered me in concept art--although, I admit that I love Zelda and anime stuff and they have arm bandages all the time--but what purpose do they serve!? Has this ever been a thing in all of antiquity?

The contrast between Vox Machina and the Mighty Nein is interesting. Looking at how the conversation with the Clasp after the ruin of Emon went vs how they interacted with the Gentleman is the best example of that. And I think my lens of that is coloured by the fact I watched the M9 first.

Also Keyleth vs Percy was interesting. I see Keyleths point, and the way she sticks to her morals is admirable. But I agree with Percy. That was a far more pragmatic approach and I liked the point that as a ruler he rules over the underbelly too.

Recap from Steven Universe: Winter Forecast (S1:Ep42)

Winter Forecast opens with Steven Universe and Connie roasting marshmallows in the fireplace. They end up discussing what marshmallows are made of. Connie's mom calls her and tells her she needs to get home because a snow storm is coming, and threatens to send her dad to pick her up if she doesn't get home.

Talking to the Gems

They go to the kitchen and tell the Gems that Connie's mom wants her home. Steven says he wishes she didn't have to go home and could stay and have a sleepover. The Gems tell them they should get her home. Garnet kisses Steven on his head.

On to Greg

The two go to the Car Wash and ask Greg to take them home. They are playing in the snow and get Greg to try to find an acceptable outfit to look like a "responsible parent". This gives them a lot of time to keep playing before they go. When they finally get going with Greg sporting a leisure suit, the snow is falling pretty hard and they end up getting stuck. They decide to try walking the rest of the way. When they get to Connie's, her parents are very upset.

Then they spiral back to the van and Steven is the only one that remembers what happened and talks them into staying in the van. So they hang out in the van and make a night out of it. But Connie's dad comes searching for them and ends up crashing into the van.

Then they spriral back to the Car Wash and Steven decides they should not try to get Connie home at all. He throws his dad's keys in the snow, grabs her and they run back to the house on the beach and go in to find the Gems sitting on the warp pad trying to destroy the galaxy warp. The interruption causes the star gem to explode.

Then they spiral back to the kitchen where Garnet kissed Steven. She tells him that she gave him her future vision and none of that actually happened. Now, though, he knew what needed to be done.

The Real Trip

He and Connie went to the Car Wash and got Greg to take them to Connie's house immediately. They make it safely and Connie's parents invite them to stay the night.
