What can be better than Strangetown? More Strangetown!

I've been working on this for quite a while...

This is Strangetown DLC! Custom subhoods for our dear desert town.

First I wanted to create subhoods for my strangetown, and it got quirky, strange, and dramatic really quickly. So I couldn't keep it only to myself and share this subhood and next ones when it will be ready. I will keep the usage of CC to minimum, I promise!

I will keep updating on it's development.

✨️ Project Update ✨️

I am still working on the sims 2 lore connections to add up and compare for my premades. I've explained before, but I'm doing this process so I can create new ancestors or change certain ancestors to merge families (ei: the Caliente's being cousins to the Curious's) in order to correct and fix canon inaccuracies across generations and games.

I am going to confirm which family has the most amount of canon ancestors, and I am only creating new generations for the other families up to that amount. (Ei: if the Goth Family has 6 generations but the Beaker family is only 3 generations, I have room to edit or add up to 3 more generations but none after that)

If there aren't any more DNA inconsistencies or other families that would make sense to be related to, I will wait to create certain families and introduce them to the hood until the older families are all in the right generation (ei: if the Burbs moved here 3 generations ago, I'll play rotational generational playthrough until every other family is at the point it makes sense)

This is a long WIP but I don't mind, and will be sharing everything in case anyone cares. On that note, I will be beginning to create a side blog for my cc finds to add for anyone to follow, suggest or grab any cc I will be using. I WILL NOT BE USING MUCH, but default replacements, maxis add ons and certain game conversions (ei: sims 4t2 or castaways items)

A list will be provided on the download post whenever I do manage to complete this so anything I do end up using and what is actually needed or not will be specified as I look more into neighborhood building, sharing and the amount of cc to include with that.

the last time i played Sims 2 was in middle school, loading the same family i made over and over in Strangetown. twenty years later, i'm learning how to make my own hood, apartments, npcs, and s2 community lots for the first time! it's slow going, but a lot of fun!

i'm using @jellymeduza's Muddy Swamp terrain to make a New Orleans-like neighborhood, with additional inspiration from historic black neighborhoods around where i live ✨

hi there! i'm lily and i've been playing the sims 2 since 2001.

i mostly play sims 2 rotationally and currently, i am on r5 of my first ever strangetown playthrough. i am a pleasntview stan at-heart and i will always (ALWAYS) give dina caliente the life she deserves 💸💸💸

so basically, you'll find rotational gameplay here with my custom rules, s2 cc finds reblogs, the occasional sim download, might start a bacc as that's something i've never tried before so that'll be hilarious.

i use clay hairs and i (try to) only use maxis-match / 4t2 clothes.

Dusty Graves and Auda Maton would have fit in *perfectly* in Strangetown. If they were t*s2 premades lol. I know the psp game includes a saloon but I think the pc has a bar you can insert into any of the neighborhoods BUT if Dusty was a part of Strangetown it would be heavily implied that he owned the saloon that would come with the game. I know it technically would make more sense for him to be included with Open for Business, but 🤗 this is all just having fun lol Auda Maton would also be implied to work there.
