How would you define the personalities of Jessie and James? (their personality traits) and what are their main differences in your opinion? Thank you.

Ooooooooh amazing question I could probably go on about this forever. Let's seeeee

Jessie is an incredibly passionate, vain woman who is usually pretty quick to anger. She has a very hard exterior but has shown many moments of softness when it comes to those she cares about (her friends, her Pokémon, even Ash and some of the other twerps). She's excitable and arguably the dumbest of the TRio, often asking James or Meowth to explain things to her or on the opposite end, getting mad when they correct her on something she was wrong about LOL. Prior to being a Team Rocket field agent, she was very cold and closed off (as seen in Training Daze). And before THAT she was a cheery, much softer version of her current self. I think it's sweet that she kinda went back to being happier and sillier after befriending James and Meowth. The world truly was just cruel to her.

James (I'm very excited to talk about this I have a lot of thoughts) slowly but surely made a quite drastic change in character over the series. I can ALWAYS tell when someone's only ever watched season 1 of Pokémon depending on how they describe James. In the early seasons, James is very flamboyant, quite mean, has a sharp tongue. Jessie would often strongarm him in early seasons but he'd bite back without hesitation. He was also shown to be vain to a similar caliber as Jessie. HOWEVER. In later seasons, the vanity, bitey-ness kinda dies off and James' character changes. You wouldn't really be able to tell if you watch the series over time, but if you watch an S1 episode vs one of the S20+ episodes, you can really see it. James becomes more of a silly, sweet, nerdy boy. He's often the voice of reason and geeks out about various things like sports, Pokéballs, fishing gear, bottlecaps etc. Now when Jessie gets on his ass he more or less just deals with it with either a sigh or something akin to "it is what it is". He's very down to follow Jessie's lead unless it's something he's really passionate about, in which case, Jessie takes a back seat and lets him do his thang. As far as how James was before Team Rocket, there's not too much to go off of. As a child he seems very sweet but sad, given his rough, stifling upbringing. In Training Daze, he is much less silly and a bit more guarded (but less guarded than Jessie)

I'd also like to note that Meowth in earlier seasons felt like more of the leader? Like he was always keeping Jessie and James in line. But nowadays, he and James both take that role and tolerate Jessie's antics as a unit.

discussing Taskmaster series 19 spoilers under the cut, with data i gather from a spreadsheet i keep of the scores

So the 9th episode just aired, and since episode 5 aired i've been building a comprehensive spreadsheet of every taskmaster score from every task in every series. At that point i'd been rooting for Mat since day one already and that was his second disqualification from a task, and i wanted to prove to myself that he was still statistically likely to win.

ive never done statistics my whole life so idk what i'm doing but i love using spreadsheets and i know how to turn those into graphs, so i started collecting the data from every series, hoping to dig out some patterns, which i did.

as soon as i was done compiling everyone's data i saw similarities with the score patterns of Noel Fielding (s4), Liza Tarbuck (s6), Lou Sanders (s8) and Dara Ó Briain (s14)

they all got some pretty close calls, but stayed in first place pretty much their entire series, with Noel being the only one to dip below first place past episode 1 (by cheating and disqualifying his whole team, smh)

now that's pretty much what i was hoping, in the best case, for Mat's scores to look like. Rosie was setting herself up to be catching up to him in a pretty consistent way, so at that point i was clinging to the knowledge that everyone who had a strong early lead similar to Mat's ended up winning their respective series.

obviously now i have stats up to the end of the penultimate episode, and after seeing them i just wanted to do a little experiment. what if i filled the section for episode 10 with the score from episode 4 (Rosie Ramsey's best scoring episode in the series, and also one that was below Mat's average score)

alright so he would still win, but what if they're keeping a pretty bad episode for him at the end, like a plot twist? let's imagine he got disqualified in his most successful task, and dock him 5 points

riiiiight i mean let's say he failed his second best one as well then

sure let's push it, three disqualifications then, giving him an episode score of 3

it's getting harder to notice but he would still be in first place if next week he gets a total score of three and Rosie gets her own best score a second time.

this is a very long and pointless post that truly shines a light on how UNWELL i am about taskmaster at the moment, but the fact i have to push the scores cartoonishly far for Mat's score to be threatened is all the vindication i needed. i spent hours making a spreadsheet to prove to myself that Mathew Baynton would win, and i think i've proven it.

is this whole post just another proof to myself? probably. some sort of digital footprint of "YES!! I CALLED IT" about the show i've been obsessed with since early spring? absolutely. but also it's really fun and i know i'll keep on filling it when s20 comes.

and yknow what? if by some miracle Mat DOESN'T win and face plants at the very end, i'll be just as impressed because that would be a feat in itself.

kyle "liking" heidi was a HUGE cop-out

i can't believe we just got a 50 min long kyle-sided kyman episode and still all i wanna talk about is this episode from 2017 LOL. "doubling down" is prob the episode i've done the most rants on and i ain't stopping now. ok so like what i wanna talk abt his how fucking forced the whole kyle liking heidi thing was and how it came out of completely nowhere. and i have a theory on why that is...bc if kyle rlly was supposed to like heidi they rlly did NOT do a good job convincing us that was the case. ok so what i think what happened was this episode was originally intended to be a SUPER on the nose kyman episode abt kyle confronting his feelings for cartman but then trey parker pussied out and changed the script at last second bc he was too afraid of canonizing kyman lol. and trey does this bs A LOT especially with the 6 days to air format, he'll write the script one way and then he suddenly changes his mind at last second and wants it to be something completely different lol. bc yeah it's sus AF how in s20 they were originally setting things up for kyle to realize he's gay for cartman like in the little red riding kyle scene and then the scene of him crying over the picture of cartman (which was how we knew right away his jealousy was bc he had feelings for cartman NOT heidi) and then out of nowhere they revealed kyle liked heidi like hWat. that made us feel gaslighted AF. and i remember back in the day (in the ancient year of 2017) when they dropped the promo for that episode the description said "kyle is playing with fire when he gets in the middle of cartman and heidi's relationship" or some shit like that, which was ambiguous AF but kyman shippers got all excited bc we assumed the episode was abt all of kyle's jealousy with cartman & heidi finally coming to the forefront BC OF HIS FEELINGS FOR CARTMAN NOT HEIDI. so i feel like they released that description to be ambiguous on purpose bc they didn't know if they were gonna continue the route of having kyle liking cartman or change it to kyle liking heidi. and the only reason why they changed it to kyle "liking" heidi was bc they were too chicken to go forward with a kyman plot that strong, and bc it would've been too hard to change the episode to something completely unrelated on such short notice. it's not bc matt & trey give two shifts about kydi lol. it's obvious they LOVE kyman and deep down wanna make it happen, i think they either just don't know the best way to write it in yet or they're too afraid to piss off the non-shipping fans of the show. so that's the reason why we only get hints and they never take it any further than that. bc even tho kyle supposedly "liked" heidi this attraction was hardly believable and it still seemed EXTREMELY obvious that when kyle "liked" heidi, he was still repressing his feelings for cartman and those feelings came out in more unconscious ways throughout the episode. bc yeah for YEARS they've been writing kyle's character as gay and obsessed with cartman so that's why it was hard for them to make us believe kyle actually liked heidi and why him and heidi had 0 chemistry dhdhskks. and the reason why all kyle did was ask heidi about cartman was bc the original premise set up for the episode was for him to be a jealous snake bc he HATES heidi and LOVES cartman. he even deadass trashed heidi in the beginning when he was like "why is she still supporting him?!?!" which showed how much disdain he had for heidi (and cartman also called him out for having a problem with heidi back in s20), yet they expect us to believe he actually liked her??? LOL. kyle also literally says "i think we're all going out with cartman right now" so i think the way things were set up in the first half of the episode was actually the original vision for the script about kyle liking cartman. the moment when the girls told kyle he "likes" heidi was when they decided to change it up out of nowhere. they probably originally intended to have one of the characters call him out for liking cartman or some shit which stan and butters got pretty close to doing LOL.

AU Time - Märklin

Märklin Hohenzollern, known shortly and friendly as Mark, was brought to Germany in the early days of Sodor. I haven't really figured out a Pre-North Western railway he could fit in. (the S&M, the W&S, the TK&ELR, Sodor Tramways) So he's pretty much in the same league as 98462, 87546 and the Red Engines, being simply a loaned foreign engine. (and engine driver in this case)

Mark was very introvert and reserved during his working time on the island, so no one really knew him too well, or knew about his personality. He didn't really liked being in the spotlight (*wink wink*). He worked mainly on the Main Line Harbour, away from the business of the Branch Lines and the Main Line's bigger areas. Although he ocassionally brought trains as far as Crosby, albeit still not socially interacting too much. Whenever he pulled trains outside the harbour, a loaned tank engine, Thomas (when he was still station pilot), or a medium-sized engine like Edward or Eagle would take over the shunting. (this was before Percy arrived)

When Percy arrived, his innocent and kind nature made Märklin get out of his shell a bit more, eventually becoming Mark's best friend. His only friend on Sodor, actually (and sadly).

Eventually, around Season 2, his trial time ended (not to mention Sir Topham Hatt was getting fed up with Mark's anti social nature and wanting to do him and himself a favour), and so he was sent back to Germany, having only made a single friend on Sodor, missing the chance to make much more.

Sidenote: I like to believe that in Tale of the Brave, when Percy said he'd go to "Far away lands", apart from obviously going to Columbia with Gator, he indirectly also meant he'd go to Germany to find Mark. Maybe even (had they not stayed on Sodor) go to America to find Hank and Japan to find Hiro. Like, bro wanted to do his own BWBA before Thomas had the idea.

Another sidenote: Mark is also the name of Marc Winslow (it is sometimes written with a K in movie credits), a mexican voice actor and singer who provided the voice for Thomas (S24's last episodes and specials), Ryan (S20 only), Rex (S20-onward) and a truck in JBS. He also sang Our Tale of the Brave, something appropiate considering not only being Thomas' future voice but considering what I've said about Mark in this post so far.

I really love one-sided kyman but like mutual, where they pine for each other thinking it's unrequited but really both of them are just fucking idiots who can't communicate LMAO, though I'd like to think Cartman would be the first to catch feelings, like a slow gradual buildup because he's spent so much time with Kyle by his side but he knows deep down Kyle would never return his feelings because he thinks Kyle is the entire antithesis to his being and they could never be so he'd genuinely bury everything deep down (maybe it might manifest into his cupid me persona who knows) so I do think after a particularly gruesome fight or argument(and a horrible realization) he'd stop pursuing Kyle in whatever shenanigans and like slowly move away(Which he's shown to do both in s20 and PC)

And meanwhile for Kyle, everything just hits him suddenly like a trainwreck, he'd no doubt be happy at first that Cartman FINALLY decided to stop with whatever tomfoolery he had to begin with though after a while, he expects everything will go back the way it was(eg. cartman joining them again in their friendgroup) but then he slowly comes to realize... that isn't the case now. In lunchtime, He seeks glances at Cartman yet Cartman looks away, never meeting him eye to eye. He would probably try to approach Cartman after but Cartman again also avoids him, and even when he manages to finally find him and have a talk, Cartman just goes"oh sorry, Kyle I have to go to the bathroom/have somewhere to attend to" and then quickly scoots away. Kyle would resort to namecalling quickly and call him a fatass and instead of Cartman being mad or retorting it against him, he'd just smile and go "mhm" and leave which would so deal a devastating blow for Kyle LMAO. So anyways, I think for a while, Kyle would so 100% believe that cartman was onto some new scheme that he was planning so he would absolutely not believe this at all because Cartman has never disengaged him, how could he now?

So yeah Kyle would like probably spend the next week or two just trying to figure whatever the hell Cartman is planning, he'd probably try to convince the rest of the friendgroup to join him but like... unlike Kyle, they know how to take a hint or two LOL, Actually I think it'd be even sad/funny if Cartman just interacted with Kenny and Stan mostly normally with less insults/ while he just full on avoided Kyle, so Stan would be like "dude what are you on about? He's been pretty nice the entire week" and Kenny might chime in and be like "Yeah, he's even helped me some photography stuff" in some muffled speech. Anyways, Kyle would so be mad LMAO and be like "he's trying to trick you all! " in some huge speech, talking about how he's done this before while Stan and Kenny assure him that he's been doing this for a while now and that he most likely would have done something by now if he had any ulterior motive, and that it's pretty possible that he's grown as a person by now. (Kyle still wouldn't believe it)

So like after all that he'd so definitely corner Cartman in some secluded area in school and be like "alright, fatass this is enough, what the hell are you planning?" And even though Cartman doesn't wanna engage with him whatsoever in theory, he'd definitely give in it practice if Kyle pressured enough(it's in his instinct, okay!) So he'd be like "I dunno Kyle, what am I planning indeed?" And then Kyle would be so mad and frown and then they would definitely bicker back and forth with Kyle being like "just quit it already dumbass, it won't work on me" and then Cartman playing dumb and being like "Oh, what won't work on you Kyle? And knowing them, it has a pretty big chance of resorting to physical baha. But I do think before it escalates to that Cartman might drop the act and just be honest "Kyle, what if instead of me planning anything,what if I just genuinely didn't wanna talk to you?" And Kyle would likely freeze on the spot because he didn't even consider that a possibility, because the Cartman he's always known has never even thought about doing that, because if he did they most likely wouldn't be here now. So his first instinct would definitely be to argue against it. "Bullshit! that's what you always like to pull, I don't believe this for one bit!" And Cartman would raise a eyebrow or two and be like "Whatever you want to believe Kyle, it's not my problem" and then he'd just leave, while Kyle would probably be speechless.

Anyways after that day, he'd definitely be even more wary of Cartman, he would be expecting for some really messed up to shit yet it would never happen which would leave him even more wary, because Cartman now doesn't even have the gall to pretend to be nice to him, he doesn't even smile at him in the hallways,it leaves Kyles feeling quite weird, has Eric ever treated Kyle so.... Insignificantly?

I do think maybe after a month or two of some very sleepless nights, he'd probably come to the "same" conclusion as everyone else. Cartman doesn't care anymore. Coming to that conclusion, Kyle should feel happy, right? After all, isn't this what he's always wanted, for that fatass to leave him alone, to stop terrorizing him. Yet, why does he feel nothing?

I definitely think he'd notice that feeling and he'd try to avoid it but no matter what he does, he can't forget it, everything would feel, well-empty. For a while, He'd still acts the same way to everyone but now there's no one to demean him for that or to call him a dirty jew. Anytime, he does or says something impulse, there's no one to belittle him anymore for every little thing, Maybe he'd ACTUALLY avoid that thought admittedly, one day hes hanging with Kenny and Stan, maybe they are getting tickets for the movie, he'd notice how Stan only got 3 tickets, he'd get confused and ask "where's the other one" Stan would again ALSO be confused and be like "Dude, why would I get a extra one?" And kyle would retort back and be like "Oh obviously, for Cartman" until he realizes there is NO Cartman there. Maybe he'd notice the empty seat on their cafeteria table, wondering who's it for, then he realizes that Cartman is taking way too long so that seat is for Cartman right? Until he heard Cartmans laugh across the cafeteria then he remembers Cartman doesn't sit with them anymore.
