Tumblr media
What is SASO Certification?
Overview of SASO
SASO, established in 1972, is a governmental body responsible for setting standards for products, services, and measurement systems in Saudi Arabia. The organization's primary goal is to safeguard public health, safety, and the environment by ensuring that all products entering the Saudi market adhere to stringent quality standards.
Importance of SASO Certification
SASO certification is mandatory for a wide range of products, including electrical appliances, automotive parts, building materials, and more. Obtaining SASO certification signifies that a product has been rigorously tested and meets the necessary safety and quality standards established by the Saudi authorities. Apparel manufacturers must ensure that textiles do not contain harmful substances such as formaldehyde, lead, or azo dyes, which can cause allergic reactions or skin irritation.
By obtaining Saber Test certification, businesses in Ajman can ensure their products are safe for use, offering peace of mind to consumers and helping to build a positive reputation in the market.
3. Boosting Brand Credibility and Consumer Confidence
In today’s highly competitive market, consumer trust is essential for business success. Products that are Saber-certified carry a seal of quality and safety, which enhances the credibility of a brand. When consumers see that a product has passed the Saber Test, they know it meets the necessary quality standards and is safe for use.
For exporters in Ajman, Saber Test certification is a powerful marketing tool that can help differentiate their products from competitors. This certification demonstrates a commitment to quality, making it easier for businesses to build consumer loyalty and trust.
4. Facilitating Smooth Market Access in the UAE
One of the major benefits of Saber Test certification is the streamlined access it provides to the UAE market. The Saber Test ensures that products meet the technical regulations required for import, which simplifies the customs clearance process. Without Saber certification, products may be delayed or rejected at the border, causing costly disruptions and delays in delivery.
For businesses in Ajman looking to export products to the UAE, obtaining Saber Test certification is essential for ensuring a smooth, hassle-free entry into the market. This certification allows businesses to avoid unnecessary delays and ensures that their products can be quickly distributed to retailers, wholesalers, and consumers across the UAE.
5. Meeting International Standards and Global Trade Requirements
The UAE is not only a hub for local commerce but also a gateway to global markets. Many countries, particularly in the GCC region, recognize the Saber Test certification as a benchmark for product safety and compliance. This means that businesses in Ajman that obtain Saber certification can also meet international standards, facilitating export opportunities beyond the UAE.
For example, products certified by the Saber Test can often be exported to other countries in the GCC and the Middle East with fewer regulatory hurdles. Saber certification thus serves as a valuable passport for Ajman-based exporters to tap into regional and global markets.
6. Minimizing Risk and Reducing Liabilities
Failure to comply with UAE regulations can result in costly consequences, including fines, penalties, and even product recalls. For manufacturers and exporters in Ajman, the Saber Test helps mitigate these risks by ensuring that products meet the necessary safety, quality, and compliance standards.
The certification process also reduces the likelihood of product liability claims or customer complaints. By passing the Saber Test, businesses can minimize the risk of recalls and legal issues, which could otherwise harm their brand reputation and profitability.

The UAE is increasingly focusing on sustainability, and Saber Test certification also ensures that products meet environmental standards. For exporters in Ajman, this means that their products must be manufactured in a way that minimizes environmental impact, such as using eco-friendly materials and production methods.
Saber certification can help businesses align with the UAE's green initiatives and appeal to environmentally conscious consumers. By ensuring that their products are environmentally friendly and meet sustainability standards, Ajman-based exporters can gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
How the Saber Test Certification Process Works
The process for obtaining Saber Test certification typically involves the following steps:
Product Registration: Businesses must register their products on the Saber platform, providing detailed information about the product's specifications and compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
Product Testing: After registration, the product is tested by an accredited laboratory to assess its compliance with UAE regulations. Testing focuses on safety, quality, and environmental standards, depending on the product category.
Certification Issuance: If the product passes the required tests, the business is granted a Saber Certificate, which authorizes the product for import and sale in the UAE market.
Market Access: With the Saber Certificate, businesses can export and distribute their products in the UAE and other GCC countries, gaining access to a broader customer base.
Conclusion
Saber Test certification is a critical requirement for businesses in Ajman looking to export their products to the UAE. By ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, Saber certification helps businesses gain access to the competitive UAE market, build consumer trust, and boost brand credibility. It also opens doors for international trade, reduces risks, and supports sustainable manufacturing practices. For Ajman-based manufacturers and exporters, obtaining Saber Test certification is not just a regulatory requirement—it’s a strategic move that can pave the way for long-term success in the UAE and beyond.

Never His Heart
Tumblr media
Xavier x MC
Warning: angst, (with comfort, maybe? depends how you look at it)
Word Count: ~300, no proofreading
Preview: As the crowned prince of Philos, Xavier has his own responsibilities. His father, the king, refuses him to marry MC and arranges a marriage with someone else.
Tumblr media
"Let's elope."
I remember Xavier saying that to me several months ago. But here we are, him on the altar while I'm standing on the side only as a guard. I felt my heart twist in thousands of different ways.
I should've said yes. I should've listened to my heart and not my head. I knew it was wrong for me to abandon this world, but I was taught to protect it.
Now I regretted it.
I gripped tightly on my saber as I watched the bride walk onto the altar. I felt tears threaten to spill when vows were spoken.
"I do," I heard her say.
But only silence from him.
I looked up only to see him press his mouth in a thin line. For a brief moment, I saw him glance at me before looking back at his bride.
"I do," he whispered.
Cheers erupted, glasses clinked, and joy was spread on this joyous sight. But all I felt was emptiness. The only thing I look forward to is when the bell rings to indicate the wedding is over.
Because then, I can cry to my heart's content.
I stare at the stars in the distant sky. A lone shooting star zipped through the sky. Every time that happens, I would make a wish.
This time, I didn't. Because no matter how many shooting stars there are, none will ever fulfill my wish. Because he is gone.
"I thought I would find you here." I heard a voice behind me. I felt my heart stop for a moment. Tears poured out of my eyes again.
Then warm hands embraced me from behind. And that's when my heart started to untwist itself. I leaned into the warm embrace. I wished we could do this just as much as we had done before, but I knew that wouldn't happen. He's now married. To someone else. I felt him gently kiss my neck. Part of me wanted to push him, to tell him it was inappropriate, but part of me wanted to hold him closer until he had to go.
"Let's elope." I heard him say it again.
I looked into his sky-blue eyes, filled with anticipation and hope. "But..."
"I didn't sign anything. Let's go."
"Now?"
"Yes."
I felt the corners of my mouth curve up. "Alright. Let's elope."
Tumblr media
She grew up with everything. Her father was very influential with the royal family. Whatever she wants, she gets. When she saw the crowned prince, she knew who she wanted to marry.
However, this was the first time she didn't get what she wanted.
Every time she gets, she tries to get the prince to fall for her. But each time she gets closer, she ends up getting further instead. His eyes never lay on her but on someone else.
He only smiles for that someone else.
He only touched with his bare hands with that someone else.
He only talked so softly and so lovely to that someone else.
But with her. He only looks at her, touches her, and talks to her when it is necessary.
But when her father finally pulled some strings, she finally got her wish.
She stood on the altar, beaming, thinking she had won in life. She finally married the love of her life.
Oh, how wrong is she. She married him, but never his heart.
His heart had already been taken by someone else. That someone else. And he never intended to give her his heart.
In the end, the only thing she got was the marriage certificate. Because the prince is nowhere to be found.
He had left her for someone else.
To this day, she is left by her lonesome self, while the person she loves is with his lover.
Tumblr media
Note: Ok, I need this off my chest. I didn't read much of the myth stories for all LADS LI (except Sylus standard myth) bc I'm terrified. I heard it's sad and I'm scared to read them. So here's my question, why did the previous king of philos just force Xavier to not see MC? Or like force him to marry someone else or something? idk, I think I've been reading too much manhwas.

F-35A fighter officially certified to launch the B61-12 nuclear bomb
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 03/09/2024 - 14:00 in Military
The F-35A Lightning II poacher has been officially certified to carry and launch the B61-12 gravitational thermonuclear bomb.
The certification was achieved on October 12, 2023, surpassing the original date of January 2024. This certification applies exclusively to the F-35A model and does not cover the F-35B and F-35C variants, which are designed for short takeoff and vertical landing and aircraft carrier launch, respectively.
According to a report on the Breaking Defense website, a spokesman for the F-35 Joint Program Office confirmed the milestone, highlighting a significant advance in the aircraft's capabilities. However, the details regarding the deployment of F-35A jets in Europe remain undisclosed, since the U.S. Air Force has not yet answered the questions on the subject.
Tumblr media
The B61-12 represents the latest update of the B61 series of nuclear bombs, which was first put into service in 1968. The first updated pump production unit was completed in November 2021. This version is intended to replace three older variants of B61 ammunition, specifically the B61-3, B61-4 and B61-7 models, as part of the modernization efforts.
A USAF spokesman additionally told the Breaking Defense website that “the B61-12 is compatible with any DCA [dual-capacity aircraft] certified F-35” and that the set of fighters upgrades collectively known as Block 4 is not a requirement to use the weapon.
The F-15E was previously the first American fighter compatible with the B61-12. Three other groups of fighters - F-16A/Bs, F-16C/Ds and the PA-200 Tornado used by some NATO countries - are also allowed to carry nuclear weapons.
Tumblr media
F-15E equipped with B61-12.
The U.S. Air Force also operates the B-2, a long-range stealth bomber with nuclear capability that began operational use of the B61-12 in December 2023. It is also advancing rapidly with the production of its successor, the B-21 Raider, which first flew last November. In addition, the service previously operated F-117 Nighthawk jets capable of launching B61 nuclear weapons. But the F-117 was never really a fighter, despite the 'F' in its designation, because it could only drop bombs and had no air-to-air capacity.
In addition, although the U.S. Air Force has long operated conventional F-15E and F-16 fighters with the necessary "N wiring" to employ nuclear weapons, the F-35A is the first poacher equipped as such.
Unlike the F-22 Raptor, the oldest U.S. Air Force, oriented to air-to-air combat, the F-35A always intended to assume the tactical nuclear attack capability of the F-16 fighters it was supposed to replace. However, the implementation of this capability - with the wiring and data links needed to use the advanced features of the new B61-12 nuclear gravity bomb - has been associated with an extensive (and highly expensive) upgrade program known as Block 4.
The certification award means that the development and testing of the capacity of the B61-12 are finally completed and considered satisfactory after "more than 10 years of intense effort", according to Goemaere.
Tumblr media
Dual-capacity aircraft serve as another deterrent, along with the traditional nuclear triad of bombers, submarines and ICBMs launched on the ground, and are seen by European nations as a key part of preventing Russian aggression. The nuclear capacity of the Joint Strike Fighter arises at a critical moment for NATO, in the middle of the war in Ukraine and the Russian nuclear saber, in particular.

TOY HISTORY:  Luke Skywalker was first available as a mail away figure in the 1977 Early Bird Certificate Package during the 1977 holiday season and delivered in Spring of 1978 along with Princess Leia, R2-D2, & Chewbacca.  This first version of Luke came with a Double Telescoping lightsaber that had a small filament that would further extend out from his yellow saber.  Luke would get his official cardback release in early Spring of 1978 on the 12A cardbacks and shortly after the lightsaber would be replaced with a Single Telescoping lightsaber.  Besides that variation, other variants come in the hair color: in yellow, brown, and the most rare, in orange. Luke would get re-packed for cardbacks released for the Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983).

from @strnza: everywhere we go, people try to kill you. (FOR ARRAAAAAAA)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"does that surprise you?" the blade of her saber shudders off, leaving her cradling the hilt between tense fingers. fortunately arra didn't require any use of the blade; the mere display of the weapon was enough to send their loud assailant running out the cantina door. after a moment, arra attaches the saber to her belt beneath her cloak and shoots eliza a secret smile, still amused by her comment. "you're a certifed troublemaker just like i am, and you're telling me you're not used to a few unruly strangers here and there telling you off? you're not used to threats? how fortunate for you. i'm jealous." arra sits back down at the table alongside eliza and senses the taut pressure of the force tangled within her. maybe she's force-sensitive? a brief shut of arra's eyes gives her time to explore, to get a feel for eliza's presence and hidden capabilities.
"or maybe you can sense the danger before it happens." she opens her eyes. "maybe you know what to avoid. it's intrinsic within you — the awareness, the inherent ability to detect an oncoming threat and step aside before it's too late. have you always been able to do that?" she asks, leaning forward across the table. "from a young age, were you able to sense things? predict things before they happened?" her implications are deep, but arra's eyes are wide with curiosity. "what do you know of the force?"

Understanding the Role of Saber Test in Ensuring Food Safety Standards in Abu Dhabi | +971 554747210
Food safety is one of the highest priorities for both consumers and regulatory authorities worldwide. In the UAE, ensuring the safety and quality of food products is paramount to protecting public health, maintaining consumer trust, and facilitating global trade. The Saber Test is an essential part of this effort, as it plays a vital role in certifying that food products imported into the UAE meet the stringent safety and quality standards set by the government.
In this blog, we will dive into the significance of the Saber Test in Abu Dhabi, how it contributes to food safety, and why manufacturers, exporters, and businesses in the food industry must understand and comply with its requirements.
What is the Saber Test?
The Saber Test is a certification program managed by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA). It is part of the UAE’s broader regulatory framework to ensure that products, including food, meet safety and quality standards. The Saber system is designed to streamline the certification process by allowing businesses to register their products electronically, submit relevant documentation, and undergo testing in accredited laboratories to verify compliance with UAE standards.
The Saber Test process is essential for products entering the UAE market, as it ensures that goods, especially food items, are free from harmful substances and pathogens, are labeled correctly, and comply with all local and international safety standards.
The Importance of Food Safety in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, is a significant hub for both local and international food trade. The city’s population continues to grow, with a diverse range of consumers seeking a variety of food products from different parts of the world. This diversity necessitates a strong and robust food safety framework that protects both public health and the integrity of the food supply chain.
Foodborne illnesses and unsafe food handling practices can result in severe public health risks, reputational damage for businesses, and even legal consequences. This makes regulatory compliance essential for food manufacturers and distributors, especially when exporting products to Abu Dhabi.
The UAE government has implemented stringent food safety laws to protect consumers from unsafe food products. The Saber Test is central to this initiative, ensuring that imported food products meet these regulations before entering the market.
How Saber Test Contributes to Food Safety Standards
The Saber Test plays a key role in safeguarding the health of consumers in Abu Dhabi by verifying that food products comply with both local and international food safety standards. Here’s how it helps ensure food safety:
1. Ensuring Compliance with UAE Food Safety Regulations
One of the primary objectives of the Saber Test is to ensure that food products meet the regulations set by the UAE government, including the Federal Law No. 10 of 2015 on Food Safety. These regulations outline safety standards for food production, handling, and distribution. The Saber Test ensures that food products meet these regulations by subjecting them to a series of quality and safety tests.
For example, food products must be tested for pesticide residues, heavy metals, and other harmful substances that could pose health risks to consumers. The Saber system also requires businesses to provide detailed documentation on the product’s ingredients, nutritional information, and labeling, ensuring that all relevant information is accurate and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Verification of Product Quality and Safety
Food safety is not just about avoiding contaminants—it's also about ensuring that the food products are of the highest quality. The Saber Test evaluates various aspects of food products, including:
Microbiological Testing: To detect harmful bacteria, viruses, and pathogens that could cause foodborne illnesses.
Chemical Testing: To test for unsafe chemicals such as pesticide residues, additives, preservatives, and heavy metals.
Physical Testing: To ensure that food products are free from defects such as foreign objects, spoilage, or improper packaging.
These rigorous tests guarantee that only safe and high-quality food products are allowed to enter the Abu Dhabi market. The certification process helps prevent foodborne outbreaks, ensures product integrity, and maintains consumer confidence in the safety of the food supply.
3. Enhancing Consumer Confidence and Trust
For consumers, food safety is a top priority. By obtaining Saber Certification, manufacturers and exporters demonstrate their commitment to adhering to the highest safety standards. This not only helps businesses build trust with consumers in Abu Dhabi but also ensures they are compliant with the UAE’s regulations, which are designed to protect public health.
The Saber Test helps reinforce consumer confidence by ensuring that the products they purchase are thoroughly tested and meet stringent safety standards. This is especially important in the food industry, where the public is particularly sensitive to issues like contamination, adulteration, and inaccurate labeling.
4. Supporting Compliance with International Standards
In addition to local regulations, the Saber Test ensures that food products meet international standards for food safety. The UAE follows international guidelines set by organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), the Codex Alimentarius Commission, and the International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN). This means that food products tested and certified through the Saber system are also compliant with global food safety standards.
For exporters and manufacturers seeking to sell their products in Abu Dhabi and other international markets, Saber Certification opens doors to global trade. Meeting both UAE and international food safety standards ensures that businesses can reach a broader market, increasing their competitiveness and opening up new opportunities for growth.
5. Preventing Fraud and Ensuring Authenticity
The Saber Test also helps prevent fraud and counterfeiting in the food industry. In Abu Dhabi, as in many other parts of the world, food fraud is a growing concern. Fake or mislabeled products can have serious consequences for public health. Saber Certification includes comprehensive checks to ensure that food products are genuine, accurately labeled, and contain the ingredients that they claim.
For example, the Saber Test verifies that food products labeled as organic or halal meet the strict criteria required by UAE law. This process helps ensure that consumers can trust the authenticity of the food products they buy, minimizing the risk of fraud or deceptive practices in the market.
The Saber Test Process for Food Products in Abu Dhabi
For businesses looking to export food products to Abu Dhabi, understanding the Saber Test process is essential. Here is an overview of the steps involved:
Registration on the Saber Platform: The first step in the Saber Test process is to register the product on the Saber platform. Businesses need to create an account, enter product details, and provide the necessary documentation.
Product Testing: Once registered, the product must undergo testing in an ESMA-accredited laboratory. The testing labs will evaluate the product for safety and quality, including microbiological, chemical, and physical tests.
Certification: If the product passes the tests, it will receive Saber Certification, which allows the product to be imported into Abu Dhabi. The certification is valid for a certain period, after which the product may need to be retested.
Import and Distribution: With Saber Certification, businesses can import their food products into Abu Dhabi and distribute them within the UAE. The certification helps ensure compliance with food safety laws and enhances the reputation of the product in the market.
Conclusion
The Saber Test plays a crucial role in ensuring food safety standards in Abu Dhabi by certifying that food products meet the stringent regulations set by the UAE government. It not only helps prevent health risks associated with contaminated or unsafe food but also enhances consumer confidence, supports global trade, and ensures that food products are of the highest quality. For businesses aiming to export food products to Abu Dhabi, complying with the Saber Test process is essential for success in the competitive food industry.
By working with accredited testing labs and understanding the Saber Certification process, manufacturers and exporters can ensure their products meet the necessary food safety standards and gain access to the lucrative UAE market.

Why Indian Cosmetic Exporters Must Work with Labs for SABER Compliance?
As India emerges as a global hub for cosmetics and personal care products, exporters are increasingly looking to expand into lucrative Middle Eastern markets, particularly Saudi Arabia. However, accessing this high-demand market comes with regulatory challenges. One of the most critical is obtaining a SABER Certificate, issued under the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).
For Indian cosmetic exporters, working with accredited testing labs is not optional—it’s essential for SABER compliance and smooth entry into the Saudi market. In this article, we explore why cosmetic exporters must partner with labs, the process for SABER certification, and how lab involvement ensures both compliance and credibility.
What Is a SABER Certificate?
The SABER platform is an online system developed by SASO to manage the Product Conformity Assessment Program. Every product entering Saudi Arabia must be registered on the SABER portal and must comply with the country’s technical regulations.
There are two main certifications required:
Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC): Valid for one year per product, confirming the product meets relevant technical standards.
Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC): Required for each shipment, ensuring consistency with certified products.
In the cosmetics industry, where product safety, ingredient compliance, and shelf-life are highly regulated, testing plays a crucial role in SABER compliance.
Why Cosmetics Require Special Attention in SABER Compliance
Cosmetics are directly applied to the skin, hair, and body, making health and safety concerns paramount. Saudi Arabia has adopted stringent regulations aligned with GCC and international cosmetic standards, covering:
Ingredient restrictions (e.g., banned substances)
Microbiological safety
pH balance
Heavy metal content
Labeling and packaging standards
These requirements cannot be self-declared. Testing from a recognized lab is necessary to demonstrate compliance before applying for a SABER Certificate.
The Role of Testing Labs in SABER Certification for Cosmetics
1. Product Safety Testing
Labs test cosmetic products to verify:
Absence of restricted ingredients
Acceptable levels of heavy metals like lead, arsenic, and mercury
Stability and shelf life under different conditions
Microbiological safety to prevent contamination
These test results form the foundation for the Product Certificate of Conformity.
2. Labeling & INCI Verification
Testing labs also help verify that:
All ingredients are listed according to INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients)
Arabic and English labeling meet SASO requirements
Expiry dates, batch codes, and warnings are clearly stated
This ensures compliance during customs inspection.
3. Documentation Support
Indian testing labs familiar with SABER often provide:
Test reports in acceptable format
Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Product Information Files (PIFs)
Ingredient declarations
Proper documentation minimizes approval delays from Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs).
4. Faster PCoC and SCoC Approvals
Labs that are ISO/IEC 17025 accredited and experienced in SABER-related testing are often preferred by CABs. Their test reports are trusted, enabling faster issuance of:
PCoC (valid for 1 year)
SCoC (required for each shipment)
Step-by-Step Process for Cosmetic SABER Certification with Lab Support
Step 1: Product Classification
The first step is identifying if the cosmetic product falls under regulated categories (most do). Common regulated products include:
Creams and lotions
Hair care and styling products
Perfumes and deodorants
Lipsticks and eyeliners
Skin lightening creams
Step 2: Register on the SABER Portal
The exporter or Saudi importer must create an account on the SABER portal and:
Select the appropriate product category
Choose a SASO-approved Conformity Assessment Body (CAB)
Upload product data and lab reports
Step 3: Testing the Product in an Approved Lab
Indian exporters should work with labs accredited to perform:
Heavy metal and chemical composition analysis
Microbiological testing
Stability and pH testing
Labeling verification
Ensure the lab issues reports in English and Arabic, and in a SASO-acceptable format.
Step 4: Apply for Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC)
Submit all lab reports, documents, and product details to the CAB. Upon successful verification, the PCoC is issued and is valid for one year.
Step 5: Apply for Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC)
Every shipment must be registered on the SABER portal for SCoC approval. No cosmetic product can enter Saudi Arabia without this certificate.
Why Indian Cosmetic Exporters Must Prioritize Lab Testing
1. Avoid Customs Delays and Rejections
Without valid lab reports and SABER certificates, shipments can be:
Delayed at Saudi ports
Rejected or returned
Subject to financial penalties
2. Ensure Ingredient Compliance
Saudi regulations ban or restrict the use of certain substances (e.g., hydroquinone, formaldehyde). Only lab testing can confirm compliance.
3. Meet Shelf-Life and Stability Expectations
Products must demonstrate shelf-life under Saudi conditions (high temperatures, humidity). Stability testing by labs ensures your product will remain safe and effective throughout its lifecycle.
4. Build Trust with Saudi Distributors and Consumers
Compliant products with proper certification boost trust and improve marketability. Distributors prefer brands that are SABER-ready.
5. Faster Market Entry
Working with experienced labs ensures quicker documentation, smoother communication with CABs, and faster approval times.
Leading Indian Testing Labs for Cosmetic SABER Compliance
Several NABL-accredited and ISO-certified labs in India support cosmetic exporters with SABER-related testing, such as:
Intertek India
SGS India
Eurofins
TUV India
METS Laboratories
Bureau Veritas India
These labs provide comprehensive cosmetic testing and documentation aligned with SASO and GCC standards.
Tips for Cosmetic Exporters in India
Choose labs familiar with GSO 1943/2016 and SASO standards
Maintain updated SDS and Product Information Files
Bundle similar products for combined certification (if allowed)
Work closely with your Saudi importer to manage SABER registrations
Stay informed about changes in Saudi cosmetic regulations
Conclusion
As the demand for Indian-made cosmetics grows in Saudi Arabia, regulatory compliance through the SABER Certificate has become a non-negotiable requirement. Indian exporters must prioritize product testing and documentation by working with reputable testing labs to meet SASO’s rigorous standards.
By investing in lab-based compliance, cosmetic exporters not only avoid customs delays and product rejections but also enhance brand credibility, build trust with Saudi partners, and achieve faster market penetration in one of the world’s most promising consumer markets.

All the lettering for my lightsaber bag is finished! I'm still slowly cleaning up all the chalk guidelines, but the inking itself is done. I photographed it here with the padded interior and the saber inside, to give an idea of how it'll look all together. I need to trim down the upper edge of the padded bag, which right now is making the 'f' in 'fragile' (far left in the first pic) lay a bit oddly, but I think it'll be fine once it's trimmed and sewn together.
I also ended up adding some text to the utility pocket at the lower end of the bag, in a much smaller font. It reads 'license number AZ311I5-291001' which is the same (made up) number on the freighter pilot's license I had made for my OC, Samæni.
Tumblr media
Mostly I just wanted some visual texture there, something different from the larger block letters (and rotated 90 degrees off of those letters), but for character/worldbuilding I'm thinking of it as sort of a certification of being a licensed import/export pilot. I did that bit in fine-tip sharpie, so especially with the smaller letters it went together much faster than the main lettering.
The next step for this project will be putting on the little fake pocket flap between 'antique' and 'handle', and I'll probably sew the hardware onto the crossbody strap while I'm at it. I think I might want to add some weathering via fabric paints to give a bit more texture and Star Wars look to this, but I can probably do that after the whole bag is sewn together. Depending on what paints I have on hand, I may do some of that this weekend even before I sew the exterior into a tube, but unlike the lettering and the pockets, it's not completely necessary to finish before sewing the tube closed.
Work this week was pretty demanding, and I think will continue to be over the next two weeks especially, but I feel like I'm in a good spot to get this finished by the time the Star Wars Nite events at Disneyland start up on April 16th. We still haven't bought tickets yet -- we've been waiting to see how work settled in -- so I don't have a specific date I'm aiming for, but the 16th would be the earliest. And I still want to spend some time weathering my saber hilt before then, too, but I think that's probably only a couple of hours of work total.
