A/N heyo! so this is my first story, in tumblr, at least. i have written stories before on wattpad (if you wanna check it out, click here)! so anyway, forgive me if it’s not the greatest, still starting out! enjoy!! also, i tried to make this as gender neutral as possible!

“Y/BF/N, hurry up! i wanna get to Game Stop by 12:30!” i yelled to my best friend.

i was finally getting the game i’ve been wanting for months now and i couldn’t be more excited. “okay. okay, i’m ready. let’s go get this stupid game,” they said, coming down the steps.

i smiled and skipped out the front door, “you really are excited about this, aren'tcha?” they asked, getting into the drivers seat of the car.

“of course! i’m finally getting Y/FG!” i exclaimed, getting into the car.

they laughed, “well, let’s hope they have it,” they pointed out.

“shit, i should’ve checked if they did,” i sighed to myself.

“well, to late now. we’ve already left the house,” they said, pulling out of the driveway.

i grabbed the AUX cord Y/BF/N had for their radio and plugged it into my phone, opening (preferred music app) and played Y/FB. Y/BF/N and i jammed out and screamed lyrics the whole way to the mall.

we finally reached the mall, found a parking space and got out of the car. we walked into the mall and walked towards Game Stop. i basically skipped the whole way, making a fool of myself and embarrassed Y/BF/N, but i didn’t really care, i was just happy i was finally getting Y/FG.

“Y/BF/N! come on!” i yelled, as i finally reached the store, running into it.

“jesus, Y/N, calm down!” they scolded as they walked into the store.

i looked around at all the games, trying to find the right one. “ah! here,” i said, reaching down to pick up the last copy of the game, but stopped when i saw another hand reach for it.

“oh sorry,” i said, looking over at the person.

he had gorgeous blue eyes and long dirty blonde hair. “oh no, no, it’s fine. you take it,” he smiled at me. god, even his smile is gorgeous.

“no, i insist, you take it,” i picked it up and handed it to him.

“no, really,” he chuckled, “i don’t need it anyway. so you take it,” he waved his hand, pushing it towards me.

“but-” i started, but he cut me off.

“how about this, you take the game and to repay me, you get coffee with me some time,” he suggested, smirking.

i giggled, “okay, but that is so cliché,” i said, “i’m Y/N, by the way,” i added.

“geoff. it’s nice to meet you,” he said, holding his hand out for me to shake, which i did.

“i love your eyes,” i said, absentmindedly, staring at them.

he laughed, “thank you,” he said.

“oh, shit, sorry. i didn’t mean to say that out loud,” i apologized.

“it’s okay, you have gorgeous eyes too,” he complemented.

i blushed, “thank you,” i looked down.

“Y/N! come on!” i heard Y/BF/N yell.

“i gotta go, but here, put your number into my phone and i’ll text you about our coffee date,” i said, smirking, handing him my phone.

he chuckled and took my phone, typing on it. after a second he handed it back to me, “there. and i texted myself, so i’ll have your number too,” he said.

i nodded, locking my phone and putting it in my pocket. “thank you, for the game. i’ll see you around,” i said, waving to him, before walking up to the register and paying for the game.

“sooo,” Y/BF/N nudged my side with their elbow.

“what?” i asked.

“who was that guy?” they asked, smirking at me.

“just a fellow gamer,” i said, blushing.

“uhuh,” she smirked at me.
