so you know the fierce deity right?

WHAT IF…

FD (shortened version of Fierce Deity) IS LIKE THE PURE FORM OF THE HERO’S SPIRIT?!?

consider said analogy (it’s not perfect, but whatever)

Hylia : Zelda

FD : Link

In Skyward Sword, Zelda tells Link that Hylia (Zelda is speaking from a first person perspective as Hylia at the time) needed a hero to stop Demise from whatever blah blah. but this becomes important when she says that HYLIA needed a hero… what if it wasn’t just Hylia?

In the same game, it is mentioned that Hylia reincarnated herself into a mortal form to be able to use the Triforce (she doesn’t end up doing so actually bc Link does it but whatever) because the Triforce was specifically created so that gods and goddesses could never use it. my theory is that Hylia went to FD (who’s a god) (read SCCMN (ifykyk)) and was like “yo we need a hero to save the world. you up for that?” and FD was like “sure i’ll pick a random kid to reincarnate into.” and Hylia’s like “bet, i’ll pick a random girl too and then them two can work together to save the world.

of course, FD and Hylia are still existing as gods simultaneously; they have just given some of their spirit to these two random mortals, Link and Zelda (Sky and Sun, as well as all the others pairs in the future)

Sun is the only Zelda who’s a reincarnation. all the other Zeldas simply have Hylia’s spirit due to it being passed down through the bloodline. that means that there are definitely Zeldas with no Link. I believe that for males, they carry Hylia’s spirit, yet it does not present itself. now for females, it does present itself, hence -> zelda. and why are they all called Zelda you may ask? it’s just tradition. that’s literally it. so Flora is probably like “Zelda the 100000th” or smth lol

now time for Link!! Link is a completely different story. Link actually reincarnates whenever Demise reincarnates (Vaati, OoT Ganondorf specifically, Bellum, Null, Malladus, etc.) or just Ganon decides to come back.

now i have 3 (fairly similar but with notable differences) theories for how Link and FD (the Hero’s Spirit) work.

1. each time Demise reincarnates, Hylia goes to FD and is like “yo can you give your spirit to another guy? ok ty byee” and FD does so…

2. FD can sense when Demise reincarnates and he just gives his spirit to Link without needing to interact with Hylia

3. he has a “schedule send” thingy set up, so basically whenever Demise reincarnates, FD doesn’t do anything; Link just reincarnates (maybe he notices? maybe he doesn’t? we’ll never know)

but anyways, lemme know what yall think!! is FD really the Hero’s Spirit?
