#ok so first I thought about allurance because a few days ago maybe even a week ago I thought of a scene where allura is crying alone in the#observatory because it’s her parents anniversary and Lance comes in she thinks she’s being not dramatic but like to her it feels weird to#get emotional over a ‘parent anniversary’ thing and Lance assures her that it’s not weird at all and that he can even relate#Alfor would make his and Melanors anniversary different every year and he’d ask allura to help him and called her his ‘luck charm’#and Lance tells her that his father wasn’t really the most outgoing in the family and often times they’d forget he’s in the room cause he’s#so quiet. and he’s not really the type to do big things for people but he loves his wife and he’s do these small things for her everyday#and especially on anniversaries every morning around 6am he’d dance with Lances mom with no music#and he tells this to Allura and they both get like emotional and homesick#more happens in the scene but then I started thinking about the designs I did for Allura and Keith’s parents#how for Allura I made it very sure that Allura (or at least my design of her) looked more like her Father than her mother and I wanted#Melanor to look almost more like Lance#and in that scene Allura cant help but to see how similar Lance is to her parents#(I also forgot to mention that Lance even with how showy he is. when it comes to someone he genuinely loves you’ll see him do small acts#like his father does) and that’s just the allurance that got me tearing up BECAUSE THEN I THOIGHT ABOUT KEITHS PARENTS#as I’ve said before I want their first meeting of them beating the ever loving shit out of each other but they fall in love#and for their designs similar to alluras parents (though I forgot to mention) I wanted Keith’s dad to have soft features and Krolia to have#masculine features (yes they have a mix of both but I digress) I’ve already thought a lot in detail about their relationship and how it#developed and I already thought about Krolia having Keith but what I just NOW thought of was Krolia leaving#I love breaking gender roles and even though Keith’s dad is a masculine man he’s very neutering#and so when Krolia has to leave He just kinda breaks down. yes he selfishly doesn’t want her to leave but also Keith’s going to never know#what it’s like to have a mother. he’s too young to ever remember Krolia and will never even meet her (coughs)#and Krolia (whos taller than him because 🖕) has to be the one to have him let go because no matter what she won’t be able to actually#protect Keith. because either she gets taken away or he does. she doesn’t belong on earth and she can’t force her son to hide. they’re lucky#enough that he appears human. (she’s holding Keith’s father head in her hands as she says this btw)#and even though he KNOWS it’s true it’s heartbreaking for him. so when Krolia moves away he can’t help but try to hold onto her as long as#she can. even asking her to stay just one more night ‘last night was my one night’ response from Krolia#but he’s desperate so he at the very least gives Krolia his one photo they have. the one with all three of them. the only photo they took.#and when she eventually leaves (this is at night btw) he just stands there tears flowing down#and when he goes inside their home he tries to settle into bed but he fails#so he shackily goes into Keiths little room and sits in the chair they have next to his bed and just cries silently to himself.

Writing on company time today anyway because I'm not stopping this train and I've only got a few chapters left before the big climax
#LOTS to cram into these chapters though#sage writes#summerwind#it's... turned into a big angst fest i fear. so i'll make a point to try and put some GOOD stuff in these next few chapters#i can promise a cute scene where nicolo dances with his (favourite) niece on her birthday at least#it's weird how a story will eventually write itself#like it started with yusuf's story being mostly sunshine and prosperity and nicolo's story being gloominess and strife#and even though both of them are men now and in bad situations there's almost a reversal#like nicolo is emboldened to fight and live now while yusuf has built up this restrictive life around himself#and the money situation has changed drastically for both of them#at least they both kind of suffer when it comes to seeking romantic/carnal endeavours#people are NOT going to like the ''romance'' in nicolo's story fdjhsjkgj. like i'm scared to post it lol.#i won't spoil too much i'm just exciteedddd#the parallels are parelleling and fate is bringing the boys together once again#is it fate or is it their choices..? hmmmm#LMFAO NO WAY I WROTE A FUCKING NOVEL

I have done some doodling lately and while they are rather bad in my honest opinion, I still want to share because I need you all to see the grip this fic has on me...
First up, a doodle I did like two weeks ago while I was bored at work. Can you tell who I'm obsessed with right now? Please ignore that I basically put Lord Nightmare in a bathrobe! I was also brainstorming some potential designs for some new plants that could feature in the next chapter of The Nightmare of Apathy. I'm not happy with these designs so this is concept art at best. I also attempted to draw Aylin but she's wearing overalls for some reason??
Yesterday I was working on my Dreamswap oneshot, To Defy A Dream. (It's basically the same fic but Nightmare and Dream swap spots...) I attempted to draw Aylin again! I think the only consistent part of her design I can manage is messy long hair and dark circles. (Text says: "Low-key depressed but dead inside" and "Hiding the pain behind a fake smile" next to Swap!Aylin.)
Couldn't forget Nightmare! I love drawing him so much and yet I'm so bad at clothing... First time trying to draw Uncorrupted!Nightmare actually and I don't hate it?? (Text says: "The master of all manner of deception" and "Instantly falls in love" next to Uncorrupted.)
I want to doodle some more... Maybe I'll try drawing my Fae Sona, Cricket, and the other characters in her story? I'm not normal about them either...

just saw cats the musical live in my town & it was fucking incredible!!! literally became a kid again during it it's SO much fun & all the costumes & set & choreo (there was even trapeze work!) were supererr cool
#personal#also what made it extra amazing is that the stage isn't that big#and yet was able to accommodate 31(!!) people on stage at once!#in some scenes the majority of them were dancing too like !! godddamn#i was kinda sad that they didnt give mr mistoffeles the 'the rum tum tugger is a terrible bore' line#but realised later on it was cos he didn't have a mic? or his mic wasn't picking up his voice or smth#so it wasnt homophobia it was just logistics lol phew#anywayy tomorrow's music rec will be a cats song im not sorry#the songs will be in my head until the end of time now lol#local theatre is great <3 im so glad my dad gets free tickets lol

#stupid flighty bullshit#first.#wicked spoilers#beyond this point so if you dont want to be spoiled stop reading#first of all i loved it#great movie. cynthia and ariana knocked it out of the park#i liked ethan slater's boq and michelle yeoh's madame morrible#im sorry ariana for doubting you#she did a very good job acting#jonathan bailey was fine. i still dont like him but he did fine#tbh i think i just dont like fiyero. like hes fine but the romance plot is so boring aside from the conflict that it creates between#glinda and elphaba#also make them gay. cowards#i saw that fucking. flower#im picking up the crumbs and i want more#most of the additions were kind of unnecessary tbh like. they had an extended scene with the wizard#but it made me cringe and jeff goldblum cant sing#i dont think he was a good choice for this part#also there was an additional number in one short day#kind of explaining the grimmier thing?#i dont remember how they do it in the show but I feel like that was fine?#i think they just added that part to have kristen chenoweth and idina menzel cameo#but i feel like the extra time could have been used in other places#to fill out the relationshio development more#i still dont find fiyero and elphaba convincing as a couple#i still think that elphaba and glinda jump from being enemies to besties way too quickly#like it works but wouldnt it be nice to give it more focus?#i did love the choreography during the songs#especially no one mourns the wicked and dancing through life
