Mark Grayson / Invincible

Mark mostly sleeps on his back with arm holding you close

Recently he started having more restless sleep, moving around a lot, doing small jerky movements with his arms, kicking in his sleep

and even having nightmares that wake him up in the middle of the night searching for you

Can't seem to sleep well unless you're by his side

you feel guilty for even getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night just to come back to a sad Mark sitting on your bed waiting for you to return

Samanta Eve / Atom Eve

Due to her powers Eve isn't one that likes to have loads of blankets or pillows as she sleeps

her body is like a mini star from how hot she usually runs

so her preferred sleep position is far from romantic, which is butt to butt

just enough contact to assure each other that you're there but no grabbing unless you want to wake up as if you just ran a marathon

and you also run the risk of her snoring from sleeping in a weird angle

nothing really bad, but if you're awake you might hear it

Rex Splode

Now Rex may've had gone through some major personal growth since his very close brush with death,

but sleeping Rex didn't

sleeps like a starfish smack in the middle of the bed no matter what you do

if you do choose to share a bed tho he will sleep on top of you, arms spread and snoring loud

in the off chance you can wake him back up Rex will practically jump off you apologizing profusely, promising to not do that again

but no matter what, in the morning you still wake up in the same position

and no matter how big the bed is, Rex will still seek you out in his sleep to crush you with his body

Rachel / Shrinking Rae

Rae enjoys sleeping on her side, blankets only over her waist holding you close

She doesn't snore nor move much from that position, once she's asleep she's out

one of the best napping partners tbh

though you do need to get used to her shoving her face in your chest as she sleeps

William Clockwell

William is a true sweetheart, always considerate but brutally honest when needed

that's not him when sleeping

When asleep will is so selfish and he doesn't even realize

he has the horrible habit of hogging all the blankets, leaving you to freeze in your cold dorm room

just to later on kick them all off the bed

once he gets cold again he smushes you against the wall, spooning you like a koala

he just isn't the worst bed mate because his hugs are the best there are

Scott Duvall / Powerplex

Scott used to be an angel in his sleep, didn't move much, no snoring, knew how to share blankets

but since his sister and niece tragic passing it all changed

now Scott is restless, he moves a lot during his sleep, sometimes even waking you up with it

he also sleep talks, which is kinda funny when you can hold a whole conversation with him but not so much when you absolutely need to sleep

Not to mention his frequent nightmares that wake him up in tears, always repeating that day as if torturing him in his sleep

For both of you to have a proper night of sleep you need to hold him still with a death grip to help him calm down

and also to prevent him from accidentally slapping or zapping you

Mohawk Mark

Pushes you off the bed as soon as your guard is down and laughs at your surprised yelp of pain

if anyone even thinks of doing anything similar to you he'll rip their arms off and torture them until they die the slowest most agonizing death he can think of

Sinister Mark

them owning the plushies :3 like. opening the velcro on the back, flipping the switch to on, and squeezing them, hearing them talk… not living/sentient, just phrases the characters would say yk ?

I hope i did this justice anon, hopefully a good meal. Wasn't sure if this involved boinking the plushies, so they aren't, lmao. 

Rex Sloan 

Rex hasn't ever had much comfort, after his family sold him into experimentation and all that. Maybe one of the scientists felt bad enough to give him a plushie, and it becomes a big comfort to him even now. 

I see him owning one of those traditional plushies. Think a fluffy brown bear with soft fur and a red bow around its neck and a smile stitched onto its face, as well as those warm brown eyes you see on some bears. 

Rex is way too embarrassed about the perceived weakness, so he doesn't actually pull the plushie about a lot, only when he's completely alone and needs it. 

Rex curling around his plushie, taking his gloves off and brushing his fingers against the velcro on the back, rubbing his face into the soft fluffy fur as he pulls it open and flip the old switch. 

The bears voice is a bit slow and scratchy but the affirming loving words make Rex feel so warm and comforted. He keeps squeezing it over and over until he has to turn it off, not wanting to wear it out too soon. 

Mark Grayson 

Mark owns at least two or three plushies but hes also got a bit of a mental image he wants to keep for himself, so he hides them under his bed. He didnt want to bring them to college at the time, but Mark felt all torn up leaving them at home, so they get brought along. 

At least one of them is seance dog, and says quotes from the comics, or if there is an animated show, its from that. The others are different animals, like a white tiger, and a weighted mascot lizard from some kinda zoo. 

He holds the plushie against his chest, squeezing it to make it speak its phrases over and over, maybe even repeating along for comfort or need.  

Mark kisses his plushies on the forehead too, rubbing his fingers against the velcro on the back as he gives them another squeeze. 

Shapesmith 

Shapesmith is real excited about plushies, especially the ones that can talk, because they dont have that kinda stuff on Mars, ya know? He ends up with a whole pile, laying on his racecar bed. 

He spends way too much time lying in bed, kicking his feet and squeezing his plushies, smiling to himself as they repeat their programmed phrases. 

Hes so careful as he opens the different pockets to access the battery and tech inside his plushies, as some have their velcro on their back, and others have small hidden pockets. 

I can imagine Shapesmith even asks to get original phrases placed into plushies, because why not. He was given a racecar bed, so why not the plushie of his dreams. 

Scott Duvall 

Scott would deny any of his draw to plushies or need for them. Hes too focused on revenge and being tough, ya know?  

Well, he would be, if the plushie on his bed wasnt calling to him. Not literally, obviously, but like, spiritually, or whatever. The plushie is one of those easter bunnies, with soft blue fur, and a big over the top bow. It used to have a basket with candy in it, but it doesn't anymore. 

It doesn't have any batteries, so Scott has to sit down with the plushie and dig out batteries, chewing his lip as he turns it over, opens the velcro, and pulls out the little voicebox inside to slot the batteries inside. 

Hes bouncing his leg as he closes it back up again, flipping it over and staring into the plushies glass eyes, before he squeezes it, exhaling at the holiday-themed voicelines. 

Scott starts rubbing his face against the fluffy blue fur as he squeezes the plushie over and over. 

William Clockwell 

William has one plushie on his bed, and that's his best plush. Hes not ashamed of his bond to his plush or his need for it, so what. Hes still embarrassed about acting on it around others though, so he only does it when hes alone. 

The plushie is a red panda with a bandana around its neck. William made the bandana himself, and its his favorite color. 

William returns home from class and flops down on his bed, pulling his plushie to his chest and giving it a squeeze, only to frown when it doesnt speak like normal.  

It results in him having to go digging for batteries, carefully pushing fluffy faux fur aside, opening the velcro with care, and replacing the batteries, ending it with a kiss to the plushies head. 

When thats said and done, William lays back on his bed again with a sigh, squeezing it in his hands and smiling as the familiar loving words leave the plushie.

Scott was hesitant on even starting anything w you, too scared of you getting tangled w the mess that he made of his life

but once you're in a relationship you're in no matter how much he tries to reassure you that he'll understand if you want to walk out, you know how devastated it'll make him

besides, you already got a taste there's no way you're letting him get away

Much like a skittish stray it takes some time for Scott to come out of his shell

once he does you first notice your tasks suspiciously already done or your food already plated waiting you in the microwave

and little by little you also start noticing him lingering around more often, always in the same room but just out of reach

Very clingy and overprotective, to the point of pouting when you go out by yourself, but at the same time he can't trust himself with your safety

especially since he thinks of himself as the biggest threat to you

despite that he can't will himself to not follow you around with big puppy eyes whenever he wants your attention

Scott is really scared of his emotions getting the better of him causing his powers to flare up

that's why he's always nearby but never close enough

He leans more towards book smarts than people smarts so communication is a must in this relationship

no vague gestures either, if you want something you must talk it out with him to prevent any misunderstandings

after some extensive talks with him and reassurance, that he doesn't need to keep you at arms length, that you trust him

he loosens up a little, with some more reassurance and a lot of patience Scott starts to allow you to touch him

to say he's addicted would be an understatement but you try to not say it in fear of him retreating back into himself

Though when he's sleepy Scott seems to calm down, all his worries, all those thoughts of being a threat to you are drowned out by his drowsiness

leaning more into your touch, letting himself lay by your side playing with your fingers

in some really rare days he'll just crash next to you, his arm thrown over your waist and his face shoved into your hair

you almost selfishly want him to always be like this, to always be free of worry and self hatred

it might be something that's better discussed with his therapist though

Just because his pain tolerance is dulled due to his powers it doesn't mean he doesn't feel it

you frequently massage his shoulders to try to help alleviate a bit of it, even getting him some heating pads to help his muscles relax

After all that happened Scott might've become a known criminal to the world, so he's not all that keen on crowds or public dates

instead he prefers more casual dates at home, his favorite being cooking for you and watching a movie until you fall asleep at the couch

it helps him feel normal again, you help him feel normal again

Once you finally get to the point where he feels ok with casual touches again he practically melts into you

always chasing after you for one more hug, asking for cuddles every night, just one more kiss

Speaking of kissing, it's way better that you've ever thought

you've read of electic kisses that gives the characters goosebumps, well that is real with Scott

when you kiss you can feel his power flowing through you and hear sparks coming out of him

nothing dangerous ofc but it scared the shit out of Scott the first time it happened

but now that he know it's safe he can't get enough of you

he made himself so touch starved these past months, he's so pathetic you couldn't not fuck him

You and Scott knew each other since the first day of college, you got assigned as roommates and immediately clicked the moment you walked through that door

During the semester it was rare to see one without the other, even your teachers would ask you of the whereabouts of Scott if you showed up to class alone

Scott and you used to geek out about super hero comic books, excitingly waiting for the newest releases of your favorite sagas

going out to buy them together and boast about your respective collections

Often joke arguing on who was the better team or which of your favorite heroes would win in a 1v1

sometimes discussing random storylines the writers should've followed instead or character arcs that just didn't make any sense

yk, just very important conversations

Unfortunatelly for you time went by quickly, graduation coming and just like that you're both adults with adult jobs and fucked up schedules that didn't align no matter how much you tried

it didn't matter how many emails you exchanged, life dragged you along and eventually you and Scott grew apart and lost contact

The Sun shined high in the sky, lunch time just around the corner as you quickly approach the corner store for something to eat

Pushing the glass door your stomach rumbles, somehow distracting you from the 3m tall man in a elephant suit flinging a car towards you

you reflexively crouch down despite already knowing there's no way out for you, the car comes flying towards you in a head on hit

A bright flash of light blinds you, you hear a loud crash but none of the pain you expected

you slowly peek through your lashes, the car sits sideways just to your left, smoke pouring out from the huge blast attack to it that saved your life

when you turn to see your saviour memories hit you like the car that didn't

It has been almost ten years, the world had changed so much since then but it seems like fate has reunited you again

despite everything that happened, all the time passed, those eyes are still the same

you don't have much time to gape at him as one of his teammates grabs you, dragging you away from the fight

allowing PowerPlex to fight Elephant Man

"Don't break anything!" they shout back at him after settling you on a bench a few meters away from the strife "did he hit you?" they turn their attention back to you

you shake your head no, unable to find your voice

they glance over their shoulder "then wait here, the medics are on their way" once done checking on you they jump away to do damage control on the fight happening just across the street

It felt surreal, the last you've seen of PowerPlex he was being announced as the newest supervillain on the news and now-

now he's here, a hero, your hero

Just like a D tier background villain Elephant man is defeated swiftly, with no major hitches,

meanwhile the medical team does a quick examination on you, determining you came out unscattered if not for a little scare from the whole experience

they half heartedly shove into your hand a therapist's card, shooing you away to clean their station for the case the rescue team finds any more victims to the villain's attack

You look around a bit more, hesitant to leave already, your eyes soon meet Powerplex

comically being scolded by his way shorter teammate, you quietly approach them planing to patiently wait for your turn

the teammate noticing his gaze is somewhere else gives up on scolding him and just shoos him your way

Scott approaches you fidgeting with his uniform

"hi," you try "thanks for the save..."

he's still staring into the same cracks on the floor you've been scrutinizing "...no need" he finally says

you look up at him "No! I mean, you're like" struggling to find the right words you go back to looking at the cracks "we- we used to be crazy about heroes and all that and now, now you're one "

Scott is taken aback " I guess I did end here" you exchange a breathy laugh "hey, we've got this document for you to show to your boss to explain your absence" he tries a half smile

you let out a gliggle "So this means we can hang out a bit more?" you light up "maybe I could buy you something to eat, you know, as a thanks"

Scott stiffens " I uh," he sighs giving up on trying to make up an excuse " I'm still under surveillance after what I did in Chicago"

"oh" you exclaim " does it- is it ok if I still give you my number?"

"y- yes I... yes, I'd like to have your number" he stutters out

"good, cuz I don't want to lose contact again"

You leave prompted by more personal arriving at the scene, leaving Scott with a scribbled napkin in hand

a smile grows on his face, maybe things will start to look up for him from now on
