YIPPE!! I left an ask in your inbox about an interview I definitely think was conducted but I’d love to keep telling you, because I’ve definitely reframed it a little bit.

First and foremost, I think the reason Lexy, Devon and Jake were in D class is because they were put on trial for manslaughter. Remember what Chucky did? They were all tried for those and it’s unclear to the public whether they did it or if it was the fault of their anomalies.

With Lexy, I feel like she’s extremely lucky. She’s survived a multitude of tests, but somehow, her survival is always at the expense of others. It’s luck to her, but bad luck to anyone else who dares step in her path. With this newfound luck, she can roll a dice and land whatever number she desires or best fits her and dooms everyone in the process. In a way, she has unknown probability manipulation.

Jake has these odd shadow entities that several D-Class report seeing late at night, but they don’t show up on any camera the Foundation has. Once several researchers had seen the same entity, the foundation came to one conclusion; Jake’s anomaly is that he can induce hallucinations. Hallucinations that caused his cousin, Junior Wheeler, who he and Jake and the other two D-Class commit several murders before Junior committed suicide.

Now, with Devon…I don’t know. I was thinking increased intelligence but I think the air of mystery is better. The Foundation doesn’t know what he has but they know he has SOMETHING.

With Caroline, I feel like she can make sewn dolls or clay figures come to life and do as she wishes. She wasn’t on death row, rather, her family called the Foundation because they saw her abilities. But yeah.

Hey Silver! I don’t know if you’re still interested in the SCP AU I had, because if so, I have some ideas I wanna share with you. Only if you interested though.

Fuck, I really completely forgot to follow up on that with you.

The Iris/Meri phenomenon has been crazy to watch. When I started writing back in 2021 there were no real on-site ships with SCPs, and I assumed the site would be hostile to such a thing (likely due to guides and discussion posts from 2012-2015). Now the 105/166 pairing is probably the dominant thing people talk about and write with the characters now. And these are legacy characters to boot.

Hey new SCP people, and people that have been around for a long time. I was very into the fandom back in around 2019-2021. Many people have been around longer but I lost interest in it after a while. Recently I have been interacting more with SCP based content and am really enjoying it.

Sadly I have also learned and educated myself on Dr. Bright both the person who used to run the wiki and the character. He had done some very gross and disturbing things involving minors, and using his power inappropriately.

From here on out I will be describing what Bright did and the action many staff, writers, and members of the SCP community did. This account includes;

Heavy mentions of sexual harassment (some involving minors), abuse of power, and sexual themes. Reader discretion is advised.

The video below covers this topic more directly than I will. It includes screenshots, explanations, and examples of the Original Bright’s actions.

Some people don’t know that Bright was the last name of a real person who used to run the joining applications, set up the joining process and used to accept or decline the applications. Back in 2012 he had something on the application page that was just supposed to be a joke. He asked people for suggestive pictures of themselves on that page. After the SCP website sort of blew up, more people were there accepting and declining applications. They also thought that this was a joke. Until a fellow member of the team received an application that had these suggestive images attached to it. The staff blew it off.

He did this same thing on other sites. Using his status as THE Dr. Bright to get sexual attention. He used this on several occasions and in dating profiles. At one point, requesting these suggestive pictures for his 36th birthday. Using the Bright name on an account linked to the official SCP Foundation Tumblr account. Which he ran at the time.

After that incident, no one took action or did anything. Many minors who dealt personally with Bright and his shenanigans, for lack of better word, described Bright as having a creepy old man vibe. How he blatantly flirted with some, how he talked about his sexual exploits of his partners, with minors and mentioning his fetish to some. Many times he was told of these people’s ages, every time, he blatantly ignored it and continued his behavior. Staff members did nothing yet again.

This continued until the original Bright left the site in around 2019-2020. After his willing registration he was banned from the website and from writing indefinitely. Many people had become aware of his actions and things he said to minors, how he abused his position, and many victims had come forward with statements against the author. He was in his 30s when this all happened. He was not a teenager, he was not in his early twenties he was an adult man and should have known better.

Now, we get into what writers in the community did. Many decided to rewrite their stories so Bright wasn’t involved, in an attempt to make sure his victims weren’t having to see his name everywhere. Something writers also did was give Bright a new name, same background, same story just new name. This name was Elias Shaw. This was not all writers.

I am fully aware that many people still love the character Dr. Bright, but I feel it is necessary to acknowledge that many people were hurt by this author and that he is not a good person.

Personally, I will not support him, I will not be using his name, I will not support people who use his original character. I will be using the name Elias Shaw in any works that would involve Bright. I played this game based off a friend's recommendation a few months after it came out, and it very quickly became one of my favorite games of all time. with striking art direction and stunning set design, you play as jesse faden, a woman looking for her younger brother after he was kidnapped by a government agency known as the FBC 17 years ago. if you like SCP, you'll like this game. quite hard on it's own, but has accessibility and difficulty options (such as invincibility and one hit KO's) with no penalty, if the combat isn't your cup of tea.

I love this game. every part of it is fun to me. you play as a lamb who is due to be sacrificed to keep an ancient god at bay, only for that same god to turn around and save your life, on the condition that you carry out his will. fast paced, fun, cute despite it all. I will admit that the cult building aspect of it was overwhelming at first, trying to keep everything in order while also carrying out crusades, but I got over it very quick. adjustable difficulty settings to make it as easy or difficult as you wish.

It's everything I wanted from stray. actual exploration, and if you can see somewhere, you can usually get there. you play as a housecat who falls from the window of their owners apartment and into the bustling city below, and you must gather your strength before attempting the climb back up. a word of warning -- this one is JANKY. but still very fun. you can collect hats for your kitty to wear. it's great

my favorite arkane game. there's very few things about prey I dislike. you play as morgan yu, aboard the space station talos 1 which orbits the moon, during an alien invasion. the upgrade trees are fun to play around with, the exploration of the station in exciting, the unlockable powers are fun to use, even the crafting is a treat. the art direction for this game is very nice -- talos 1 is designed in a very futuristic art deco sort of way, and everything looks luxurious. gives you a lot of leeway to play your way -- like dishonored, I think this is arkane at their best.

I've never played the original psychonauts, only watched someone else play it, but I think PN2 is a very worthy sequel, even if it did take 15 years. it's so fun, looks great, and is MUCH more emotional than I was expecting. it's an exciting dive further into the world of psychonauts, putting itself much more out there than the first game did. it has so much charm, and is one of my favorite 3d platformers ever. I didn't think games could feel like this anymore.

I'll recommend this game to anyone. it's a small indie game, I was able to 100% it in 6 hours, but I really do love it. you set off from home to explore the world around you and take pictures documenting your journey as you go. filled with amusing little puzzles and quests, cute graphics and fun gameplay, this is perfect for a rainy day, or even if you're just in a not great mood.
