Hi everyone! As you may know, I run an external blog for the show that, among other things, is mainly being used to layout and report new Season 17 information (there's not a lot right now, let's be real).

My main drive for creating this blog was two fold: (1) I wanted a place that would be a "one-stop shop" for people to be able to find a lot of the things I was constantly getting asks about (scripts, DVD extras, webisodes, stills, etc.) and (2) I wanted to be able to recreate the original Paddy's Pub Blog, which was a production blog existing during Seasons 4 through 9 to post updates, bts, new episode recaps, etc. for when the time comes (nigh!)

Obviously I modelled the look of my blog completely off of that OG Blog...

And now, in furtherance of honouring the OG Blog (or, leeching from it), I've gone ahead and bought the original domain:

If you have any page from the site bookmarked already (awe, thanks!) the links will automatically redirect to the "clean" URL, so this isn't, like, a necessary FYI, so to say, but I'm telling you all anyway. From now on, you can just type paddyspubblog.com and boom. you're there.

Also, because it's been a while since I've mentioned this, if anyone wants to contribute to the blog (in any way! posts, feedback, you want a link added, etc.) please let me know! I't's still under construction (mostly the Episode Guides tab) I'd love to be able to flesh out the Episode Guides tab, especially, and that really just kinda needs more than myself to bounce a conversation around and compile some lists.

And if you aren't familiar with the Paddy's Pub Blog just yet, the blog has a lot of fun stuff to check out! There now exist individual pages with info on all the upcoming episodes (plug a page full of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ info), links to tons of real episode scripts, a Random Episode generator, an episode sorter (head-to-head battles) and a few posts I, myself think are pretty good :)

An archive of IASIP seasons 1-10 can be found on the IA here. These are ‘lossless DVD rips complete with official subtitles in 3 languages, [and] audio commentary tracks’ in MKV format.

The Always Sunny Archive is a youtube channel that includes ‘DVD extras (bonus features, bloopers, trailers, etc.) and reuploads of online exclusives, made watchable on YouTube for easy access’

Jenny’s Belated Live Blogging - 7th January 2020

- Ah Sharon Marshall....sigh

- I was honestly just laughing through that whole Aaron and Chas scene because clearly they cut something or Sharon Marshall just doesn’t actually read the scripts of the episodes before hers because that made absolutely zero sense and felt like Aaron had been listening at the door to Chas and Liv’s little we hate Robert and must save Aaron from himself session and then regurgitated every word of it back to her. 

- But anyway...I guess the main message of that scene was that Aaron is still lying about being fine for the sake of his horribly insensitive family. He probably couldn’t wait to send Chas off to Scotland either. I hope she’s gone for a while and that she’s taking Paddy with her. 

- I did also laugh at who he matched with on Man Crave because they clearly were trying to go with some kind of Robert clone. Looked like one of his stunt doubles or something. Haha. 

- In theory, I like the idea of him turning down his randoms because someone else gives him a distraction because that’s all he sees these hook ups as but also I, at this point, kind of detest Aaron and Liv scenes. They both just need a loooooooong break from each other and need to only interact with other characters for a long time so that maybe once they interact with each other again, it actually seems nice. Because right now, their scenes are horrific and I hate them. I mean...I get it in theory, but it’s really just too much. 

- As for the rest...ugh...Sharon Marshall is just not a good writer. Everything is just too blunt and heavy handed. The way she handled that whole Leyla situation was just weird and kind of awful. I mean, I get Nicola is going to be on her sister’s side but that just felt like a lot screaming it out in the middle of the pub. 

- And the Moira stuff was super heavy handed right down to her of course listening to Pete and Nate’s conversation. 

- I also didn’t expect Pete back till next week or something to tell Aaron about Seb. What? Did Rebecca or Ross just call Pete up and be like “Oh by the way, we can’t be bothered to tell Aaron he can’t see Seb so can you do it? Thanks” 

- Danny is a little creep. 

- This Graham stuff with Noah is so forced after them not interacting forever. (Yeah I know Noah just wasn’t around because of exams but still...) 

- Anything Harriet related continues to be super boring as usual. 

- I honestly don’t care if Dawn gets Lucas or not...I just want them to commit to something rather than her getting close and then doing something to screw it up or having her change her mind again. It’s happened way too many times. 

- Anyway...I’m going to chalk that up to Sharon Marshall nonsense and then delete it from my memory.

Hmm... Well the idea that Mac can't chug is actually from really early on. Season 2 Episode 1 in the opening, it's scripted:

The episode dialogue is a little different, as it tends to be, but follows a very similar vein:

And this is kinda a consistent thread in a few episodes.. more notably Season 10 Ep 1, which has Mac as commissioner because he lost the chugging contest, also scripted:

and slightly changed in the episode:

BUT I think what you might be talking about is Mac in Season 8 Ep 7, which isn't beer but where he's trying and failing to chug the Fight Milk?

The fact that is a stage direction is what made me spin out, because it's more factually true than dialogue from other characters taking a jab at him.. he really has a small throat, through and through... (and this script and Boggs were both written by the Chernins lmao)

Hello I am on a mission because someone I know is offering me $20 to find what episode this gif is from (I have never watched the show) and I will give you like $15 of those $20 if you can help. This is probably the weirdest ask I have ever sent someone ever I am so sorry

LOL.. first thing to know about Sunny is that they have this very annoying habit, since the very beginning and to this day, of using alternate takes/cut scenes in their promo and trailers. And this gif is one of those very fun instances. Technically, it is not a scene in an episode... but it is definitely from an episode, and based on Charlie and Mac's clothes we can easily pin point it to the episode "Mac is a Serial Killer":

This scene exists between the frame above (Mac talking to Charlie about how he's hooking up with Carmen (misunderstood by Charlie as serial killing), and the frame below (Mac telling Charlie that his escapades are over):

There is a cut scene between these two moments in which Mac, after sleeping with Carmen again, goes to Charlie's apartment to confess that same day. The gif you're inquiring about is from that cut scene.

So unfortunately this gif is somewhat considered "lost media" (but more like, never released media Sunny loves to keep to itself). While the moment technically belongs to "Mac is a Serial Killer," it never aired as a scene and therefore doesn't exist.

The good news is we actually have the script for this episode, so we can get the rough idea of what we're missing. I've pasted the script portions below the cut, if you want to pass along to your friend for context! No payment necessary and definitely not a weird ask, lmfao, I am happy to be asked and to know the answer to this :)

When I wrote my end-of-year post for 2023, I couldn’t fathom that 2024 would be more Sunnyful than that year had been, and in part I was right (bc of course, we didn’t get a single new episode in 2024), but I was definitely incorrect in assuming it couldn’t match my 2023 experiences, far beyond.

I continued to host and go to awesome events with friends in this community (and/including Glenn and Charlie), met and became close with even more cool people, finally caught Rob in my crosshairs (and even pulled some scripts out of him), and the Paddy’s Pub Blog was (re)born!

From my camera roll, 2024 looked like this:

Honestly, when it comes to things happening, 2024 may have somehow been more eventful than the last.

We’re kicking off 2025 with the crossover and then going into Season 17 some time soon, so this year is looking bright as shit in my eyes, and I’m incredibly excited to spend it in the fandom, with everyone here and beyond. I didn’t write creatively as much in 2024, which hurts my heart more than anyone else’s (I think), so looking to 2025 my main goal is to play more.

I want to veer hard into having fun and getting weird with it, with all of you, and I believe that's bound to happen based on everything on the horizon. Thanks to everyone who's been here, keeping this community alive, and loving this show just as much as I do.

Tried to send a message on Paddy's Pub but it either sent it multiple times or not at all: wanted to pass along the full blue of 2.02 and if you'd like (archived) links to the 3 FYC from s16 happy to pass them along and it's really damn nice to see another fandom sharing scripts instead of using scraps for clout, probs SPN, Sliders, Doctor Who, and X-Files fandoms are the only other ones doing the sharing is caring thing.

I just realised the S16 scripts aren't in the Google Drive and are only linked via the post so I'll fix that, but archived links to add to the post would be awesome too! (Also, cry for help but apparently the 5.12 script for The Gang Reignites the Rivalry is floating out there somewhere, but I haven't managed to find it)

Totally agree on the scripts for clout thing, as the whole motivation for the Paddy's Pub Blog was to be able to share things for as much of the Fandom to access as possible and have a place to host links to all the scripts we very luckily got access to. Unfortunately it makes sense that the only Fandoms you see caring about sharing and archiving are those that are pretty old and long-standing, because we constantly face and even witness just how much is lost to time if you don't repost and reshare the shit out of it while you have it. There's no glory in gatekeeping once it's kept away for good...

(Funnily as you send this I'm seeing what you're saying in another fandom right now, where someone has watermarked the shit out of scraps of scripts they're only posting snippets of for clout as opposed to like, wanting to share something with the Fandom and engage with the media in a cool way)
