This is mostly just a HC, but judging by all the evidence given in canon, I'd be willing to bet that Stanley Pines has no middle name.

Think about it - it's basically confirmed that the Stan Twins were not planned, and their parents (namely Filbrick) for one reason or another, couldn't be bothered to come up with a different and/or meaningful name for their second baby, so they both essentially ended up being named 'Stan.' Now, we know Ford's full name is 'Stanford Filbrick Pines.' My guess is that's because he was the baby they knew about when they found out that Caryn was pregnant. Stanley, on the other hand, they did not know about until he showed up 15 minutes after his brother, lol. Therefore, it stands to reason that no one put any effort into giving him a middle name.

As if Stan needed any MORE angst piled onto his backstory... 🥺

it’s about wilson choosing to potentially ruin his life over just choosing house. he’d rather risk everything trying to be normal than just accept that he’s not. and through that he insults house, reiterating as he always does that house isn’t normal house isn’t good house isn’t what wilson should be striving for house isn’t even what wilson should be Settling for. he says it again with “i should’ve spent my life being more like you” “you’d still have cancer” “yeah but at least i’d feel like i deserved it!”. even when he admits an openness to being like house, even when he’s saying he wishes he were like him, he’s still judging him by that completely conditioned moral compass he has to live upon. and that hurts house because it makes him feel like wilson’s blind to his kindness, which is not only something house wants so desperately to be but is something he actually manages to be with wilson. but he’s still evil in wilson’s repressed mind. and the worst fucking thing about this scene is that wilson’s admitting that a child is exactly like house. a child is a needy truculent narcissist. traits he forgives a child for because they’re Supposed to have them. but house isn’t. so it’s not even that wilson hates house for being awful he just hates him for being. house. for not being a wife and not being a child. and there’s nothing house can do to break through that sense of normalcy that wilson’s crafted goals are all completely based upon. even when he’s exactly like the child wilson wants he still isn’t it. even when he’s exactly like the girlfriend wilson has, he still isn’t her. wilson would rather ruin his life And a child’s life trying to be normal than just accept that he loves house. he’d rather hate himself than love house. and then. when the cancer comes. and he needs to die clean and pretty. he’d rather kill himself than struggle to change for house. he’d rather die normal than live queer. and Then you have the whole. he wants to be tied to a child because it takes away from him that choice to leave that he would otherwise always take. he can’t divorce the boring normal life this time. it’s almost like how house wants to wait for the burning building to kill him instead of making the decision to live. because neither of them want to suffer and choosing each other will always be suffering. wilson will always hate that he’s not normal and house will always be in pain. wilson will always have to give up his ideal normal life for house and house will always have to give up his pills his job his friends his life for wilson. and being together doesn’t negate that suffering, they just have to accept that it’s the best option. because it’s what they truly deep down want. it’s the only thing that can make them even close to happy. they work together: wilson regrets the child, and house takes that pain away; but also they Don’t, because wilson still hates him for it. and even if it’s forgiven eventually, that reaction that he can’t change lingers in house i think. house will always have to deal with being hurt by wilson’s conservatism. wilson will always have to deal with being in love with an evil man. but also. they love each other. so it doesn’t matter. But. also. it Does.

JSFJDSD NO YEAH YOURE RIGHT😭😭😭😭 the gist of it is that she used to be a human witch but her best friend/partner turned her into a bunnyhorse that cant do magic bc they envied her success, so then in hopes to go back to normal she broke into a lot of high ranking wizards places to steal tomes and scrolls to turn herself back which landed her in wizard jail, she managed to escape it and in her travels far away she decided to adopt a kid to teach him magic so he could protect her from the wizard police who is still searching for her.... BUT DESPITE THE HARDSHIPS WE STAY SILLY💕💪💕💪

Finished Paralogism! I have... mixed feelings.

I'm sure Albedo fans are eating right now and definitely don't want to rain on that, it's just... tl;dr, I feel like the trailer really overhyped that quest and both the plot and the way they've dealt with Durin and Albedo's loose ends felt underwhelming.

Everything felt easy and perfect. It started off really interestingly- was Albedo actually turning corrupt? Was Subject Two alive and actually the one hiding the bodies? Is what Albedo was doing horribly misunderstood and there's some reason he won't talk about it?

Then we find out the entire trial was a performance by many people involved, and... on its own that's an interesting twist! But it turned the entire plot into 'Albedo and co. execute a plan they've been setting up offscreen against a problem that's built up offscreen and it goes completely flawlessly.' The ominous Venti on the banner and the trailer shots of him didn't come to anything besides that we know that he's revealed himself to at least Albedo, Varka and Dahlia, all also offscreen, and Traveller yet again didn't ask him about Khaenri'ah even though we had an opportunity at the end.

It's fun to see everyone in Mondstadt working together and helping civilians, but Durin's return could have been something huge and scary and not fairly easily prevented by a skeleton crew, even with Albedo's genius and Venti's backing. Genshin's weird cheapness with things they really shouldn't be cheap with didn't help here, because we were supposed to see this as a big dangerous monster invasion but they kind of just roughed up Mond a bit, threw a few handfuls of hilichurls at us and made us pause to heal soldiers we never saw fighting elsewhere. It grated on me that they couldn't even animate Not Hertha leaving the trial room, only cut to Paimon telling us what she was doing.

Between that and the way it culminated in Durin becoming a human, it felt like Genshin being a gacha may have steered the game's priorities a little too much again. I could be being overly cynical, but towards the end my thoughts were mainly 'man I hope this isn't it for Mondstadt-focused plot' and 'you can tell Durin's going to be playable because they gave him his own model' and I really wish they weren't. orz.

It's a huge shame because I felt like the summer event was setting up something really clever involving names and fate? That maybe Mini Durin being turned around would in turn mean Teyvat Durin would be fated to do the same too. But alas.
