His fandom doesn't support the actual Louis, the straight man who dates women and loves vodka, football and TV. Louis doesn't have a single fan who thinks he is straight and that Eleanor was his girlfriend, and that includes you @seasurfacefullofclouds1 Because of this he's doomed to a career spent pandering to conspiracy theorists with songs like Seven and all the 1d covers. His fans will always care more about rainbow lights than they do about his music and the industry will never take him seriously.

Sea pls don't ever put the 1D reunion energy out into the universe😭. With the way Louis has turned down that question in the last year I am glad to say that I doubt it'll happen any time soon. He seems to be sick of the idea. I have faith that Louis and perhaps some of the others can evolve their career to the point where that won't be necessary. Even in 10-15 years, I have faith he wouldn't stoop so low to go back to that, yk? It's just too embarrassing, and he's the type to catch onto something being too cringe for a grown-ass man. He has some shame unlike literally all the others (except Zayn who also knows to not act like a fool).

Even h*rry keeps a 1D song on the setlist when he truly has no reason to, numbers-wise. But something tells me that if Louis grew his solo fan base enough, and he kept making music that he's even more proud of than even FITF, I somehow doubt that he would be the type to still put a 1D song on the setlist. Bc right now, it's clearly a matter of insecurity (will I sell out these shows without pondering to 1D FANS?) Once he has no reason to cling to that insecurity, I don't think that many covers will remain on the setlist. And lets be honest, the songs he cuts, he clearly just doesn't like that much. Which is unfortunate because some are fan favourites, but like I said, he'd have to make music he's even more proud of to truly let go of those annoying 1D songs and the good but still unnecessary rock-band covers.

I’ll just clarify that I don’t think any 1D reunion would happen in the next ten years, mainly because Harry wants to capitalize on his looks before they’re entirely gone (okay I know I know, but some people still find him attractive).

Louis has a deeply sentimental streak. After how he talked about 1D in AOTV, the betrayals from people closest to him in 1D, he still covers those 1D songs. Louis has felt slighted and undervalued by 1D/ Sony for 13 years. Yet he covers 1D songs on tour, even the ones from LTWT (Drag Me Down), although he doesn’t routinely play the FITF songs that fans love or he loves.

The core marketing strategy of Louis’ team is 1D nostalgia. Louis is convinced that this is how he needs to/ wants to maintain a large enough fanbase to fill arenas and stadiums, since no radio play is possible. He feels most of the fans’ loyalty is to a sugar-coated version of 1D, because 1D is the only version of his voice we hear on the radio.

He’s not wrong. His team hasn’t figured out a way around the blacklist, and they believe there’s no feasible way for big audiences to hear him. If they have this attitude, they will dump the marketing responsibility back on fandom.

This strategy has led most venues and reviewers for the FITFWT to present Louis as a leftover guy from 1D. His solo music is rarely described more than perfunctorily, as vaguely Britpop. His audiences are described as teenage girls screaming for a 1D cover band. Sometimes the band gets more favorable coverage than he does!

As a corollary, the solo fanbase that has been loyal to Louis’ entire solo career really hasn’t felt nourished. We don’t have an opportunity to feel appreciated or to grow.

So going forward, I really do want Louis to make his 5 solo albums (and many, many more), and I want him to have the longevity and creativity of his favorite musicians. I want him to believe in himself the way we believe in him. I want his team to believe in real excellence and to grow that. I want them to know that their marketing isn’t conducive to growth: it’s stale and it’s embarrassing. The marketing goes against the bravery of Louis’ solo songs, of his solo aesthetic, the graphics on his merch and the FITFWT stage designs. It goes against the ethos of Bigger Than Me. Louis knows he’s charismatic; he knows his power. The strategy needs to match that confidence.

This man is not as chaotic as he lets on! He really isn’t! He’s well put together, articulate, never misses a show (through illness or anything) and seems totally focused when it comes to rehearsals etc. You never hear anything but good stories from people that have worked with him. I’ve never heard anyone say he was late or didn’t show up for something - please correct me if I’m wrong - and other artists/musicians always comment on how he has such a clear vision/knows what he wants/is very collaborative. THIS is not chaos! He might be loud but this guy is actually very un-chaotic and unproblematic in real life.

I genuinely think he feels chaos is more rock n roll so that’s how he portrays himself but in reality that’s not him ;-)

Hahahaha yep, he’s such a sweetie. Truly mastered being rock n roll and also the most gentle human ever.

And yeah, only ever good things about his work ethic and him as a person. The crew when he toured AU just couldn’t shut up about how professional but chill he was. I actively saw him thank every venue staff member as he walked past them, even if they weren’t doing anything for him at that current moment of time. Like… a security member being stationed there (not directly near him, but next to the stage waiting for show start and making sure only accredited people pass through) for hours, and he thanks her as he’s about to jump on stage.

He makes a lot of eye contact, turns up early for soundcheck (and is very particular on getting the sound right), and doesn’t waste anyone’s time. He’s just very genuine and a mix of being totally carefree and lovely, while being extremely professional and well spoken at the same time.

When Harry was here, it was a similar thing. Just absolutely wonderful, and not a diva at all. But his public persona already kinda portrays that, where louis is seen more as sex, drugs, and rock n roll. So it’s always refreshing to hear how both of them are so incredibly gentle and caring and professional and they don’t take what they’re doing for granted (I’ve had a lot of artists who are AWFUL lol).

He works hard, plays hard, and is an all around sweetheart.

As far as I remember, it went like this....Gemma Styles hosted a live interview with Stanley Tucci in aid of War Child/UK Aid. No doubt it came about via Harry's friendship with Stanley.

Shortly afterwards, the sleuths who obsess about this kind of thing monitored Stanley Tucci's IG follows (he doesn't follow many people) and noticed that he'd followed a Freddie Tomlinson update account.

Weird, and probably unintentional, right? Most rational people might think, "Tucci was inundated by messages and follows from Harry Styles and 1D-adjacent fans. He probably followed someone by accident". Or maybe, "Gemma and Stanley spoke about the unhinged and obsessed Larrie fans who besiege anyone tangentially related to Harry or Louis, and Stanley took a look and accidentally followed a 1D fan". Seems plausible, right?

He didn't follow any other new 1D-related people other than Gemma, and weeks or months later - around the time that Harry himself followed Tucci on IG - he unfollowed the Freddie fan account.

Again, most sane people might think, "Harry followed Stanley and again he was flooded with Harry/Larrie/1D-related messages and they drew attention to this random follow he'd made months before, so he unfollowed it".

But not Sea.

Oh no.

This was evidence of Tucci and Gemma Styles' profound corruption. Larrie-baiting! Exploiting a small defenseless boy!!!!!! Devoid of morality! UNCONSCIONABLE!!!!!!!!

1. They got me blocked and I know they said harmful, offensive things about me several times by now, so high chances are I don’t agree with anything they have been saying.

2. They’re a solo stan. I’m sure at some point that have said stupid shit and hated on Liam (just search for Liam in the search bar and you’ll find out something exactly like I did).

3. People who don’t understand the complexity of drug abuse and addiction don’t really have much to add in any discourse.

True, agree with all, but he made some good songs at the start, the ones that got the radio coverage.i don't think his relationship with Sony was all that strained or they went after him, 2 1D members was better than one - if he made music that got them air time. He did that - then Walls happened at by that point he knew Walls isn't something Sony would back and it was an amicable split. If Sony was going after him- Just Hold On and Back To You wouldn't have gotten the coverage they did - they don't care about HS or LT, they just care about $$$ ultimately and HS wants to make music that is recieved by a certain group. LT doesn't want to - he wants to follow a different path and that's okay - he's with a label now that allows that. The crux of his problem is that PR team - the shit that gets said about him is other PRs teams doing their jobs, it's his team that should be getting ahead of it. But he seems quite stubborn so unless his label intervens a bit on these festivals going ahead, it'll be hard to push a stronger PR team on him

Just Hold On was promoted by Steve Aoki and released on his Dimak label, not by Sony.

Back To You’s marketing was cut off one month after released, pulled from AllAccess just as it was climbing radio charts.

Just Like You was a personal project. Louis was interviewed by Zane Lowe at BBC (not yet an Apple employee or FSM client) but never released to radio.

Miss You was shut down.

LT0 was killed (by the label? By Louis?).
