Miles internally thinks "oh no, the consequences of my actions.

We see Miles standing in between Phoenix Wright and Maya looking apprehensive. Maya beams in excitement, while Nick puts a reassuring hand on Miles' shoulder

Miles: Alright, so what is this exactly?

Nick: She's a pop musician Maya really likes

Maya: You promised you'd let me show you, and it's legally binding because you said it in a court room!

Miles: That is not how the law works Ms. Fey

Maya: Shh just listen!

We see a panel of Miles' pensive face concentrating as he listens to "Hot to Go". He thinks to himself "hm".

Another panel zoomed in more. His pensive expression has grown more tense/confused as he listens to "Red Wine Supernova". he again thinks to himself "Hm" in a larger thought bubble.

We zoom out again to see Nick, Miles, and Maya standing together again. Miles stares forward blankly, eyebrows raised. Maya excitedly leans in.

Maya: Ok, that's her whole discography. So! What did you think?

Nick looks at him, waiting for his response

We get a panel of Miles, looking bewildered. He starts to speak "I..."

We cut again to see the three of them standing together.

Miles: I... don't think I like women?

Miles looks shocked and confused. Nick is bent over laughing, using a hand on Miles's shoulder to support himself. Maya looks outraged and appalled!

Maya: MR. EDGEWORTH! Just because you don' like her musi it doesn't give you an excuse to be sexist!

We see a panel of Miles looking stressed and confused. He leans his head on one of his hands, which messes up his hair, showing how he isn't his normal put together self.

Miles: I should rephrase that. What I mean is, Ms. Roan is clearly VERY assured in her feelings towards women. I was... unaware that anyone felt that strongly. I thought we all viewed these things with a vague sense of distaste and unease but collectively ignored it. Like how we do with climate change.

We zoom out again to see the three of them. Miles stands in the middle looking deeply uncomfortable and lost in thought, vibrating with unease. Nick and Maya exchange deeply concerned glances across from him.

With lingering unease, Miles begins to walk away.

Miles: Well, I should be going then. Goodnight.

Nick hesitantly raises a finger to point out an inaccuracy in that statement

Nick: It's four in the afternoon-

he gets interrupted by Miles who repeats firmly: I said Goodnight

Nick looks in the direction Miles walked off in.

Nick: ...He'll be ok, right?

Maya reassures him: Of cours Nick! I mean, what's the worst that can happen?

Jump cut to a closeup of Nick's hand holding Miles' letter which reads Miles Edgeworth chooses death in all caps. Then, below in smaller font, it says Also femininomenon was really good, thanks.

We see a panel of Nick glaring wordlessly at Maya as he holds the letter in his hand. Maya leans against the wall and looks away, whistling, trying to look innocent to avoid blame.

As a bonus, we also have a page that takes place a year later. Miles and Nick stand talking. Miles looks calmer now, and Nick smiles encouragingly.

Miles: In my time in Europe, I've been examining myself and my approach to law. Ultimately, the most important focus must be justice. We owe it to ourselves and to the people we serve

Nick: Wow, that's really inspiring Edgeworth. And, uh, hows the... the other thing going?

We get a zoomed in panel of Miles glaring menacingly at a suddenly nervous Nick

Jumping out again, Miles turns his back to Nick as he continues to talk

Miles: So as I was saying, justice is truly so important...

Nick nervously rubs the back of his neck wearing an awkward expression as he sweats nervously. He thinks to himself internally "Ooookay then, clearly still working through some things there"

Glamour vs. Shapeshifting

(In terms of Elias's most mysterious human face)

This is the first time we see this face, and it is not referred to as a glamour. Here's the relevant dialogue with my more literal translation that makes the distinction more clear:

Seth: Is that Ainsworth? I thought magic or sorcery or anything of that nature didn't work in the auction house... Elias: That's what I had heard too, so I didn't use either. I just entirely rearranged my shape.

We'll call this "shapeshifting" for simplicity. However, this appearance is not always accessed through shapeshifting, because there are two instances where Elias explicitly refers to it as a glamour:

This brings up so many questions for me. We've seen Elias transform into various beastial forms- I would assume all of those qualify as shapeshifting. Can he access any of his other human appearances through shapeshifting, or is the Simon-face always a glamour?

Besides shapeshifting not being magic and glamour being magic, what are the other differences? Is glamour faster to put on and take off? Is shapeshifting easier to hold for longer periods of time without strain? Is there the risk of "getting stuck" in a certain form while shapeshifting improperly, like we see at the beginning of the series when Elias gets stuck as a giant beastie for a while?

If even half of these questions get plausible answers I will be happy, because right now we don't even know who this person is. Elias 'doesn't remember' and it's driving me crazy.

There’s something so perfect about a character being shot in the leg. You never really see that kind of thing as a kid or in classic adventure stories because it’s really inconvenient for your characters to not be able to run from the situation. So when you do see it, it’s such a helpless feeling that overtakes you. Someone wanted to keep you there and keep you alive. You have no say on either of those things in that moment. Your agency is completely and totally gone.

You know those "Og!Cale transmigrates into an Otome" fics?

Well, what about a fic where capture target Alberu goes to sleep one day and dreams with the plot of his life— that apparently is a game???— and finds out that:

First, the new student is going to start a war if she/he/they keep acting like they do.

Second, there's a high chance that Marquis Stan and his son, Venion, betray Roan.

And third— his fianceé, Cale Henituse, is actually really truly cute.

Now, how can he convince his fianceé that a position as the husband of the future ruler is a better way to avoid a succession battle than, you know, tarnishing his own reputation to ashes? He also has to woe him as he deserves. There's no way he's treating him the same as his alternate self did.

(Yes, alternate. Because now he has seen how adorable, intelligent and sweet he is, he can't possible be so indifferent towards him.

Alternate Alberu is the stupid Alberu and present-Alberu denies any relationship to him.

"Aunt, if I ever become so dumb, please put some sense into me."

"Alberu, you haven't even checked if that dream was true."

"It was a very realistic dream.")

He also needs allies. Hmm... Maybe he could ask his help? Cale doesn't seem someone who would trust completely in someone who doesn't trust him back. Plus, he probably could come up with a plan or two in the time it takes to make a pot of tea.

You know, if I'm completely honest I would've (mostly) forgiven Silco's erasure in s2 if the writers did just one single thing - confirmed that Fishbones reminds Jinx of Silco and by carrying it with her everywhere it's as if he's still with her. Like. That's it. Just keep her connection to him, her love for him and I......I mean *sigh*......I just Can't ignore the worldbuilding implications of no one giving a damn about Silco's death, BUT!!! I wouldn't be This bitter about it as I am now. Like they don't even have to make Jinx talk to Fishbones, or show any flashbacks, anything. Just give us something, even this littlest crumb, to show that they genuinely loved each other, and that Jinx is fundamentally connected to him as any other important character. That's all I ask for. And the fact that we didn't get *anything* makes my heart ache so much I'm on the verge of breaking down and crying

okay formatting over but HEAR ME OUT. dylan pov here. we get to see his leg bouncing away as he listens to emma. holy SHIT she just said his name, oh fuck, take another drink because lord knows he needs it—

ryan has been the asshole acting all confident this whole time, but he was definitely surprised that dylan was being so— dylan’s hand was braced extremely close to ryan’s leg. dylan feels like he might die but he presses on and—

ryan is kissing him back. ryan is- RYAN. dylan has to set the glass down because holy shit ryan’s tongue is in his mouth and he can’t tell how long it’s been and he’s about to have a serious problem being hunched over like this while making out with fucking ryan erzahler when ryan pulls away.

with the fastest reaction time dylan thinks he's ever had, he smirks at ryan, who is-- also smiling? oh shit. and walks right back to his seat everyone explodes into cheers and jokes and dylan, bringing his fingers up to touch his lip, thinks that if he were to die right then it would be alright with him.
