I read everything on this page, there are two theme patchers to choose from, so I chose SecureUXTheme with it being the somewhat more safer route.

Read the instructions on the deviantart page in it's entirety as well as the entire github FAQ for the theme tool. (If you choose SecureUX, I have no knowledge on the other theme tool and I don't recommend it tbh)

In order to make sure things ran smoothly on my end, I used my Antivirus to whitelist the tool as well as the file that will be patched in System32 so that whether it is on or off, the Antivirus will stfu while I am installing or patching themes in the future. Because from what I've read, if an antivirus breaks the install by stopping files to scan them, that's when shit goes left.

You followed the instructions on the SecureUX Github after reading the FAQ right? Then great! Your PC is patched and ready to install custom themes ;)

I get my themes from Deviantart, specifically from niivu. Download your chosen theme and put it in the correct folder (assuming you read the instructions), run the theme tool as an administrator, & apply and patch!

Now that the theme is applied, what next?

You can use StartIsBack++ for Windows 10, and StartAllBack for Windows 11 to completely customize the start menu. Usually, theme providers have skins to go with these programs so that your theme can match seamlessly.

What about the pretty dock?

I used Nexus Dock :) My theme came with a skin to use on the dock, I changed the transparency level, added rain effects and got icons from icons8.com to replace the apps on the bar.

What about the pretty stuff on the desktop screen that isn't the theme itself?

That would be the Rainmeter app! After downloading the program, you can drag and drop any skin you download onto the desktop, like an audio visualizer, calendar, a simple greeting, pretty power off buttons, etc.
