Sociopath Profile: Ulith

Real name: Rumi Igarashi (pictured right) From the 2014 anime series selector infected WIXOSS and selector selector spread WIXOSS, and the 2016 anime film selector deconstructed WIXOSS Voiced by Rei Kugimiya (JP) and Bryn Appril (EN) Recommended by @rickyotaku​

While she may not be the main antagonist, she’s still the most morally reprehensible character in the series.

Ulith actually has a long history of antisocial issues dating back to her younger years. This would be indicative of a conduct disorder required for a real world diagnosis of the disorder. Her wish was to spread pain and misery to others. She started out by torturing animals before moving to humans. When she got caught, she learned to mask her true nature from adults.

After finding out about the Selector game, she decided it would be a perfect opportunity to act out her sick fantasies. He has no remorse for the idea of trapping people in the LIRG cards or cursing them if they lose. She treats it exactly like a game and nothing more, rather than a matter of life and death.

She knows how to manipulate people. Ulith was able to take over Iona to become a Selector to play the game. Even thought Iona didn’t have an issue with it, it’s still taking advantage of her. She also has superficial charm. Ulith always has a smile on her face when controlling Iona. She also enjoys mentally tormenting people and pushing them to suicide.

Akira Aoi also notes that Ulith has a stuck-up personality. This ties into the idea of her having a grandiose sense of self-worth. And that grandiosity might also be the reason for what she does. She enjoys a sense of superiority over others by reveling in the misery she inflicts on others. Her sadism is an extension a sort of power fantasy of her.

Aquí mis comentarios que probablemente nadie va ha leer porque el fandom es prácticamente inexistente y me da lata ponerlo en ingles como para que más gente me lea:

 -pff es un resumen, que decepción.

-hubiera preferido una ova corta, cortando le todo el relleno a la película y dejando solo lo nuevo y algo más.

-Entiendo que la idea de la película era profundizar más en Ulith/Rumi y Rukko (y esta era la razón de mi hype ya que siento que era algo que falto en la serie). Pero es muy mínimo el contenido nuevo vs al resumen :B. 

-Confirmado que los padres de Rukko estaban divorciados y el padre al parecer era de lo pior y le arruino la vida a la madre. parece que Rukko no se entera de nada, o tal vez quiere ignorar el problema y finge que no se entera nada para mantenerse en un estado de aparente felicidad. Esto no tienen mucha relevancia en la trama pero ayuda a entender la forma de ser de Rukko (En realidad no sé si lo estoy sobrepensando y en realidad es un personaje plano, ayuda xD) Rukko es el eneagrama 9 en su totalidad.

-En cuanto a Ulith/Rumi, bueno parece que no es una sádica de la nada, tiene sus traumas aunque se deja casi todo para la especulación. ¿su tía? (eso no me quedo claro) no la quería y parece que Rumi tenía sus traumitas previos y su comportamiento perturbaba a su tía. en fin, se separa de Sachi, aparentemente la única persona que la quiso en la vida, Sashi se siente culpable, así que decide acompañar a Rumi en el vació infinito y podemos apreciar las amigas/primas???novias??? mientras se abrazan desnudas, lloran y comparten sus emociones (no homo, voy ha hacer un fanart de esto algún día). Todo muy bonito, pero me habría gustado verlas más tiempo juntas antes (creo que Sashi tiene más tiempo en pantalla con Ruu lol) digo, como para que se justificara el por qué se querían tanto, por qué tenían un lazo tan fuerte que no se olvidaban de la otra a pesar de llevar tantos años si verse. Pero nooo, mejor hagamos un reciclaje de de la serie. Nadie se va a dar cuenta.

-Conclusión: tenía potencial (más que madoka) pero es un puto reciclaje de la serie con 3 escenas nueva. Una mierda por eso no hay nadie comentándola. bye

Dance with Devils: Fortuna - Expanded Review (Part 1) a.k.a How NOT to make a recap movie

So I did say that I would review this wildfest of a recap movie in greater detail. Part 1 is the movie in general as well as changes in scenes compared to the anime. 

Note: Spoilers Ahoy!

The movie’s biggest problem? It was too fast. It was like someone stepped on the gas pedal and never looked back. Trying to cover everything and then some in an hour is too cramped. If the movie was about 1 and a half hours or 2 hours then the pacing might be better. Trust me - I have watched selector destructed WIXOSS where it was 24 episodes worth of recap. And destructed still did better than Fortuna in that aspect.

And this leads to the next biggest fault - characterization of the boys. Yes, we do have the anime for more detail, but then here anyone who’s not Rem or Lindo gets shunted to one side. Especially Urie, Mage and Roen who have yet to be featured in a timeline outside the games where they’re the successful party (Shiki has Blight). Well they do mention what they’re aiming for just like the monologues in the character singles, but then the movie had to omit out the parts that made them interesting. Well, that last one hit Rem the hardest. A LOT of his Character Development scenes were removed and we don’t see the events of episode 2 until about halfway through. (now I know how Soma feels about this movie. I hope Rejet treats him better in future media) And then there’s the ending which was... ...fandom-splitting, but not as bad as a certain other movie. In the end, Lindo is successful, making it the first time outside the stage plays where he wins. Ok the new interactions were cute, but I just wish it wasn’t at the expense of the other guys because it made their presence useless. At least the new character (I’ll come to him soon) agrees with me on this. 

Also the marketing team were horribly misleading. When they said ‘Multiple Endings’, I thought that the Dance with Destinies scene would change depending on whose ticket you bought. Nope. It’s the Lindo ending through and through, and the multiple endings were just 30-second monologues of each guy talking about Ritsuka and their feelings for her. Everyone ends their monologue with ‘She’s mine next time’ while Lindo ends his with something along the lines of ‘I will protect her for all my life’. Not even the surprise cameos from Holland and Noel from the stage plays made the movie better, though I appreciate the shoutout. 

So now I’ll pick apart which anime scenes were changed/omitted for what.

Ritsuka meeting the Student Council - combination of episodes 1 and 2.

Marius narrates Maria’s kidnapping and debut of the vampires, scene with police investigation and Ritsuka calling Lindo were omitted. (”Well, well. And now we have the other players of darkness showing up.”)

Rem vs Vampires fight in front of the limo - added character song

In the anime, Rem brings Ritsuka to his house and brings her to school the next day. Here we skip directly to Lindo showing up.

Lindo warning Ritsuka about the Student Council and scenes with his character song are condensed into ‘All For You’.

Scene of Urie luring RItsuka outside and garden party is omitted, Circus scene was condensed in his monologue.

Ritsuka breaking out of the house on her own is omitted (boo.)

Shiki sings before Mage, scenes of Ritsuka exploring her memories were omitted.

Mage kidnapping Ritsuka from her classroom was omitted. Thankfully they kept the beach scene

Lindo transferring to Shiko Academy was omitted

Scenes of Ritsuka and Azuna preparing for the school festival was omitted.

Ritsuka pushing Roen during her freakout over his human form was sadly omitted, immediately skips to him asking Ritsuka to come with him.

Roen explaining to Ritsuka about the Forbidden Grimoire was omitted, but we do get a couple scenes about it while Marius taunts Roen (and then gets frustrated, afterwards he apologizes to us. Asshole.). (”Ha! Look at that. Him, a lowly Cerebus? The pet of former Demon King Maksis?”)

Rem and Roen’s confrontation was heavily condensed. He also does not lie about the Grimoire being in Vienna.

Azuna’s scenes were condensed into 1 sequence, narrated by Marius. He also implies that her fate will always be a cruel and unknowing one, essentially making her the Sayaka to Ritsuka’s Madoka.

School Festival was omitted. Boo.

Scenes taking place at the Exorcist Society HQ and the Shinto Shrine were omitted, Lindo explains to Ritsuka about his origins to her in the sick bay. Additionally, he directly says that his father is Nesta instead of it revealed in episode 11 or something. (Edit: episode 10. Ritsuka being a badass was omitted as well which sucks.)

Scenes of Jek revealing Ritsuka’s parentage, rescue team preparing themselves and preparing for the ceremony were condensed in ‘Super ‘V’-ing.’

Nesta does not try to manipulate Lindo into taking his side. He immediately blasts them away.

Azuna plays a minor part in Ritsuka stabbing Nesta’s heart. They also declare their love to each other, which is ADORABLE.

Lindo catches Ritsuka after expanding the Grimoire’s powers instead of Rem.

The triad song takes place at the castle balcony instead of the lakefront.

Epilogue in the anime does not take place.

Hello! Always good to see another person appreciate incited.

Outside of the currently-airing Lostorage conflated WIXOSS, incited is basically the latest in the series. Therefore you should go watch selector infected WIXOSS, selector spread WIXOSS, and the movie selector destructed WIXOSS, in that order. Think of them as prequels.

ゲーム 『DJMAX RESPECT V』03/14 4000円借金して買った音ゲー。UIがイケイケでかっこいい 歴���の楽曲がリマスターされて収録されててかなり老人向け オートモードで放置してるだけで全曲解禁できてかなりよかった 『Night in the Woods』01/24 大学を中退した猫がクソ寂れた町に帰ってくるADV 大学中退者の憂鬱、地元の友人たちとのつるみ、続く日々、 親との距離感、宗教と認識と浮浪者、クソ長い秋、少しの大事件 黒とオレンジの町が少しだけ青白くなっていくまでの記録 個人的にかなり思い入れができた一作だった ちなみに、主要な開発メンバーのAlec Holowkaは このゲームがリリースされたのち、性的虐待を告発され自殺している 『One Step From Eden』04/09 ロックマンエグゼをオマージュしたアクションバトルゲー 展開がめちゃくちゃ早く、敵の攻撃もクセのあるものが多く 【ゲームをしている感】のようなものが強くて楽しい ステージクリア報酬でどの武器を取るかなど戦略性も高く PVP対戦も完備されていて友人と一緒にやったらかなり楽しそう 『あつまれどうぶつの森』04/15 どうぶつの森シリーズ最新作　ハードはSwitch モデルやライティング、ハウジングの自由度は歴代ナンバーワン 島を開拓して自分好みの土地を作れるのも楽しい　マジで最高 ポストエフェクトを利用して映える写真を撮れるのも良い ただSNSとの連携ありきのシステム設計って なんかスローライフじゃないなって思った スマホを開いてマイル集めて...とかノルマが提示されるとちょっと疲れる 『ぷよぷよテトリス』04/10 Steam版をプレイ　遊ぶのが遅かった マッチングはガチ勢しか残っておらず　情けないプレイングで負けまくる キャラクターはかわいいし魅力的だけどちょっと少ないかなと思う 誰かいい連鎖のチュートリアル教えてください 『聖剣伝説3 TRIALS of MANA』05/01 スーファミの聖剣伝説3のリメイク　ハードはSwitch キャラモデルは若干もっさりしてるけどあんま気にならん 旧作やってなかったけど戦闘が楽しい　ストーリーも改変なさそう 戦闘が楽しいRPGって最高じゃない？ 『Chasing Light』05/18 光を追う物語　ちょっと話したいことが多すぎる でもここで言いきったらいけないことな気がする ゲームの内容は　具体的に言うと　全部めちゃくちゃになって 全部壊れて　自分が自分でもわからなくなって　それで… 『VRChat』05/31 VR空間で好きなアバターを着てみんなでお話したり遊んだりできる クラブの配信をみんなで楽しんだりした　HMD買ったらもっと楽しい 『絶対的人狼』06/10 人狼の盤面をみて誰が人狼で誰が人間か推理するゲーム 後半に行くにつれて役職が増えて推理しやすくなる気がする 序盤は運ゲーで　ストーリーは古き良きサイコフリーゲーです 映画 『スノーデン』04/05 エドワードスノーデンの暴露までを描いたドキュメンタリー 普通にあったことをちょっと誇張して描いてる。エモさはあんまりない 起こったことに対して取る尺が長すぎるけど事実をなぞれるのは良かった 時系列を行き来する脚本は上手いなと思う 『最強のふたり』04/06 身体障碍のおっさんを黒人が介護する映画 たまに挟まれる黒人ジョークがかなり鋭くてウケた やっぱ馬力のある友情って大事だよなみたいな気持ちがデカく、良かった 『マルトハウゼンの写真家』04/12 収容所で捕虜として働かされていたスペイン人がナチスドイツの 残虐の行為を写したネガを発見し、収容所の外へ持ち出そうとする話。 芸術として写真を接していた男が、環境の変化によって 写真を【起こった事実】として認識するようになる意味芸術を主軸として 展開されていくノンフィクション映画、ただし死ぬほど長い。 『タイラー・レイク -命の奪還-』04/29 息子を亡くした傭兵タイラーが拉致された麻薬王の息子を救う話 ストーリーはクソ薄いけどマジでスタントアクションがかっこいい バングラディシュの九龍城みたいな居住区で敵を撒くカットが良かった 『映画 この素晴らしい世界に祝福を! 紅伝説』05/02 このすば完結記念に観た　めぐみんはかわいいし、 終始コメディで、爆裂魔法のエフェクトは予算に比例して派手だ 『サイケな世界 ～スターが語る幻覚体験～』05/19 海外の著名人が過去に幻覚剤を摂取した体験を話すドキュメンタリー グニャグニャ動くアニメーションがよかった セッティングと精神状態は大事だってはっきりわかんだね 『劇場版 selector destructed WIXOSS』05/22 このアニメ異常者とサイコレズとサイコパスと 精神病と毒親とヤンデレしかいなくないか？ こんだけ狂った展開させてラストちゃんとハッピーエンドなのすごい 『海獣の子供』05/23 異常なアニメ映画　導入は夏が舞台のファンタジー群青劇なのに 終盤でガンギマリ生命賛歌が始まる　演出と美術は2019年映画で一番すごい 劇場で見たかった映画上位に入ると思う 『ベルフラワー』06/20 火炎放射器に魅入られた男2人がそれぞれの女に裏切られて 全てを燃やし尽くす映画　キャッチコピーは 「もうダメだ、女は信じられない。」 シーンの瞬間最大風速は吹き荒れる炎熱に近く、傑作です 『ゆきゆきて、軍神』06/14 奥崎謙三がかつて所属した独立工兵隊で、 隊長による部下射殺事件があったことを知る。 処刑に関与したとされる元隊員たちを訪ねて 暴力をふるいながら真相を暴いていく。 ノンフィクション映画で、あなたは食人の業と向き合いながら 奥崎謙三が引退した元軍人の老人たちに暴力を振るうのを見ることが出来ます。怪作。 アニメ 『映像研には手を出すな！』03/23 湯浅監督作品。作画が原作にめちゃくちゃ寄せられてて満足 創作、特に映像系の仕事してる人なら絶対刺さると思う 個人的に毎回大分弱い部分をさらけ出されて体力が持ってかれた 制作する上で大事なことってこういうので学べると良いんじゃない？ 『痛いのは嫌なので防御力に極振りしたいと思います。』03/25 典型的なMMOアニメだけどまあまあ面白かった コメディにパラメータ振ったガンゲイルオンラインという印象 クソ運営が実装した仕様を主人公がどう捌くか 脳死で片手間に見るのにちょうどいいアニメだった。 『ケンガンアシュラ』02/02 Netflixアニメ。3Dアニメだけどかなり原作の表現に寄せてて良いと思う 最近のNetflixは格闘シーン作るのがやたら上手い　迫力があった どう決着がつくのか　みたいな楽しみ方だと思う　脳死で見られる 『ダーウィンズゲーム』03/21 3倍速で観た。脚本があんまよくない気がする まあおれもキリトくんになりてえという気持ちは良かった 異能力バトルロワイヤルって感じだけど能力の使い方に捻りがない 高校生とかは好きそうだなと思う 『BEASTARS』04/11 Netflixアニメだけあってテーマがわかりやすい 肉食と草食がお互いの種族と本能の確執の���でどう生きるかみたいな話 ヒロインより主人公のハイ���ロオオカミがかわいくてそこだけ気になった 演出や作画はかなりいいと思う　多分3Dなんだろうけど全然気にならなかった 『イエスタデイをうたって』06/24 冬目景原作の漫画をアニメ化したもの 作画が原作にかなり寄せてて撮影がめちゃめちゃリッチ 大学を卒業した男女が高校生の男女に関係を拗らせられる 青春群青劇系のアニメ　空気感が作り込まれてるので深夜に見るべき 『波よ聞いてくれ』04/04 1話だけ見た　多分続き観ないので無責任なことは言いません… 『BNA ビー・エヌ・エー』05/08 TRIGGER作品　BEASTARSと設定が若干似てる 獣人と人間が差別し合う世界で獣人になってしまった主人公が いろんな事件に巻き込まれていく感じ　 色彩がイケてる 勢いはほぼキルラキルで、ラストに突然出てきた設定があったり 解決した後の後日譚みたいなのがマジで一瞬で終わったりする 『かくしごと』 視聴中 『東のエデン』04/22 前々から観たいと思ってたので一気に観た(楽しかった) 金で国を変えるってテーマは同じノイタミナ枠のCと似てたけど 展開は全然違った　アニメ11話+映画2本で綺麗に終わらせる脚本って 一番満足感あるよね　ラストも盛り上げられるし 『未来日記』05/12 展開はよく考えられており、何よりヤンデレが素晴らしかった Netflixで26話まで観たが、youtubeでOVAを違法視聴しないと ハッピーエンドにたどり着けない。これ罠だろ 『刃牙 大擂台賽編』06/06 格闘技漫画の金字塔　漫画通りの進行 烈海王が飯を差し出すシーンは良かった　食うんだッ 『Great Pretender Case 1』06/07 ネトフリの詐欺師アニメ　5話で1クールだから一瞬だった 制作はProduction I.G.　ストーリーは楽しいけど主人公の挙動がわからん あなたはEDでセクシーな猫のダンスを観ることが出来ます 『日本沈没2020』07/14 湯浅監督作品　Netflixアニメ マジで10話構成でやる上で脚本が描きたいテーマが多ぎて 展開が早過ぎて登場人物に愛着がわく前に死ぬ 回収されない設定もあれば即時回収される伏線もあり迷走がうかがえる ポストアポカリプスの描写はめちゃめちゃよかった サイエンスSARUだけあってキャラのアニメーションはやっぱり引き込まれる 小説 『老人と海』02/16 エモ老人が海に出てクソでかいカジキを釣る話 序盤の老人と弟子の掛け合いから、船の上でのカジキや自身との対話 淡々と白熱するカジキやサメとの駆��引きが彩度薄めで書かれている 文章からシーンを連想しやすく、かなり読みやすい作品だと思う 『犬と魔法のファンタジー』 ロミオ作品 『コンピューターで「脳」が作れるか』 ちょっと前話題になった人工知能とか深層学習について ガキでもわかるように解説してくれる本 『なるほどデザイン』 グラフィックデザインのいろはについてガキでもわかるように解説本 デザインの解説本だけあって説明がクソ上手い　1冊は買え 『あまたの星、宝冠のごとく』 長年積んでた短編SFのオムニバス本　とにかくシーンの描写が冗長で インテリが好きそう　ちゃんと読んだら追記 『足穂拾遺物語』 まんだらけで6000円で買った　 稲垣足穂作品総まとめ本 ちょっと厚みがあるので軽く目を通したら追記すること 漫画 『イハーブの生活』04/13 作画が好みだったのでブックオフで108円買った。上下巻セット。 2巻完結　作画が程よく雑　奇妙な世界観設定　癖のあるキャラ どれもおれ好みのもの。レズビアンカップルに育てられた少年が 自分の本当の父親を捜すという話だが、これ以上話すのはやめときます。 『ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 Part7 スティール・ボール・ラン』04/28 読まなきゃいけない気がしたので読んだ。本当になんて遠い廻り道... スタンド能力の使い方と応用のさせ方が歴代で一番ユニークだと思う ユニーク過ぎて戦闘シーンで何が起きてるのかわからんかった ストーリーはジョジョにしてはかなり渋くて爽快感はあんまりない 『OZ -DOROTHY-』05/27 宗田朋と柊ゆたかのコンビで描かれたダークファンタジー ドロシーは大変かわいらしく　自分好みのデフォルメ 読者を置いてけぼりにする設定と雰囲気の中で解説されない展開 マイナー雰囲気漫画厨のおれは大変満足した　2巻で終わる 『スペクトラルウィザード』 無印はよかった　2巻はまだ読んでない
