This morning I had two opportunities to get 'free' hot chocolate milk.

1. The machine gave me hot chocolate milk without payment. It confused me so instead I just walked to a selfscan cash register.

2. I got bag checked by an employee with their manager. They thought I already paid for my stuff and the chocolate milk and told me to move along.

Whilst this could've maybe been good karma sent to me by whatever entity is out there; I don't like the thought of not paying or taking advantage of anyone. Besides if I were to just walk out, it would eat me up the entire day. I would've been a wanted criminal on the run. Imagining me imagining that is already anxiety inducing enough...

Any type of customer service is the worst type

I know a lot of people understand this, but a lot more don't. Working as a cashier, selfscan attendant, call center, waiter, are all the actual backbones of our society. And yet we get treated like shit?

I'm not gonna sit here and tell you I'm the nicest person ever, because I'm not; what I will tell you is that I shouldn't NEED to be super nice! and! be! super! chipper! You are here to get shit and go. We do not need to talk like we're A) old friends, having brunch! or B) like I'm the bad guy for telling you "that price is incorrect, you are thinking about last week's sale." I am not your servant. Nor a slave. I am here to help when you fuck up (because you will) or fix an issue (that was caused by previous shift not taking down the tags or management telling us to "just fix it" even though that's going to cause issues down the line).

I am just very tired of this industry and I haven't even been here that long. I want a different job I will actually like. But that's hard to find.
