Thank you!
We appreciate everyone’s participation and have gathered a lot of great feedback!
Some things to clarify:
The Chinese Title for Language & Culture does include Taiwan and Hong Kong for now. This is very similar to the English Title including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. We understand that may people feel strongly that these should be separate, but they do have many similar backgrounds that should not be ignored and right now they help prop each other up in areas they lack a bit. This may change in the future, but we think this is acceptable for now.
We will be adding and taking away some awards in the future! We’re already considering what will be in next year’s! Additionally, we know it’s hard to keep track of what is released in the year, so be on the lookout for our monthly wrap-up posts!
We were recommended to add a Community Category where we can highlight other entities helping to promote and celebrate BL! We have many exciting ideas for this, so please look forward to next year’s Awards!
Thank you very much!

helloooo!! oh it was you that sent me over straw page?? it was very fun, thank you!! this one will be awesome as well, excited to answer
01.
a) hmmm this is very hard!! I usually tend to drop when the art isn't to my liking (which I know it's kinda bad...sorry). so none comes to mind 😵‍💫
b) this is easier I think. I really liked the art of semantic error but the story got very meh by the end, which is sad. love song ga utaenai have a beautiful art style, but only 2 chapters so the story is very very rushed. love the art of monotone blue but it didn't hit me as much as it did to other people. amamiya is one of my favs but blueblueblue felt a little flat to me. idk there's a lot!!!
02. oh, MANY!!!! fake fact lips and boku no papa to papa since both are two of my favs. hanakoi tsurane would be amazing, breathless momentum as well. paint love and the colors will bloom would be beautiful!
03.
a) oh hard!!!! idk if I would call favorite but I dropped nerd project at first but tried again later and I'm really liking it so far. therapy game wasn't one that I loved at first but now I'm having a lot of fun with the new chapters. that's hard because I'm so picky with my favorites so idk if I have a favorite that I hated at first
b) SO MANY! cure blood. vol 2 of boku no papa to papa. restart after coming back home have a beautiful cover, it was what made me read it. I find the cover of smoke blue very beautiful. love the latest cherry magic cover that it was released in english, with all of them together. SO MANY! I'm so easy to be attracted to covers asjfoiafjiosaj
04.
a) i think banana fish for sure!
b) i have many! suehiro machi, mamita, amamiya, roji, hayane dentou, natsume isaku, and many more
c) CURE BLOOD CURE BLOOD EVERYONE READ CURE BLOOD ifojasfoijaf but recently I reread ginmokusei no shitateya and got extremely teared eyed when ubuki started to talk about his grandpa
05.
a) hmmmmmm idk. I'm not very much of a bizarre bl reader. maybe shuumatsu, kimi to...? it wasn't bizarre to me but maybe it is to some people.
b) I'm very boring when it comes to scores and things like that since I'm very strict, so masterpieces are hard to me. so idk if people would consider masterpieces, but I have a long list of bls that I love from the bottom of my heart: fake fact lips, boku no papa to papa, cure blood, ameiro paradox, sankaku mado no sotogawa wa yoru, the eve festival, 3 ban sen no campanella, keisenjou no cantata....
06.
a) hmmmm I don't think there's a manga that I focus only on that...but I do think amamiya draws intimacy very beautifully, I like that!
b) oh god oIJFOAISJFAI idk I do like some trashy manhwas that are being released rn so (no, not jinx, I hate jinx)
hope my answers were fun for you as well!!! thank you so much 💛

yaoi scholar….. pls i finished the untamed and word of honor what should my next drama be 👀 (happy endings only pls)
also i wanna know your fav bls. if you’ve the time!!
hallo! i didn't mean to let this sit for so long, but i've been using my phone more and don't like answering asks there. i don't actually know many cdramas, but i've got other dramas to rec, if that's alright!
(C/K/J)DRAMAS/LAKORNS:
sotus & sotus s (thai)*
history3: trapped (taiwanese)
seven days (japanese)*
manner of death (thai)*
restart after coming back home (japanese)*
together with me (thai)
long time no see (korean)
semantic error (korean)*
you can watch 2moons2 for the full story, but honestly, the original 2moons mingkit cut is everything to me (thai)*
*based off novel/manga/manhwa
20 of my fav bls under the cut :)
initially, i was going to call it my "top 10", but it's not my top ten, it's just favs that i really love or think you (sara) would also enjoy. so it's just 20 "random" favs. if you (general) want, i can upload the 200+ long list and even include "reviews" of my favourites, but i'll only do that upon request. also here's my blanket rec for mxtx's works. svsss is my fav. i'm very easy. thank you <3
20 OF MY FAV BLS:
sotus is very dear to my heart. i watched it right before i went to university, so it really set that mood for me lol it's not a perfect story, the audio is shit at some parts, and the acting was sometimes stiff, but when the show hit, my fucking god did it HIT. of course i roped all my friends into watching it. it was based on a novel, but the novel didn't particularly stand out to me (sorry). there's also a manga now (3 vols) but i'm just loyal to the show, y'know? it also has a sequel, and that one made one of my friend cry (i actually had to pause the show lol), but for me, the first season is what's rly stellar. (lakorn / rewatches: 4? 5? a lot?)
sasaki and miyano by syou harusono is such an easy read, with lovely art, cute characters, and the softest, sweetest romance. it makes me feel like i've been hit by a car, then the car backed up and drove over me again. sasaki is the light of my life (and also if i looked like him, i'd never shut up. and i project just a little bit too bc oh he just like me fr), and everyday i think about making him my pfp. i owe syou harusono my life. i want to say more about this bc it rly is my fav manga perhaps of all time but that also means i can't say more about it LOL (manga / rereads: 6)
the cat proposed (bakeneko katatte sourou) by hayane dento is quite possibly the best manga i've ever read. the writing is so beautiful, and it's a really relatable and inspiring story for me. plus it's got catboys. *motions to my dnp catboy pfp* but in all seriousness, it's a genuinely great story that squeezes my heart and leaves me in tears (manga / rereads: 5)
doukyuusei is a certified bl classic. i've not read the entire manga series, but i've got the anime film saved to my laptop. that was another thing i roped all my friends into watching, and yes, everyone was gagged (animanga / rewatches: 4?)
koimonogatari by tagura tohru is incomplete, and the "love" part isn't there yet, but my fucking god. i think i just picked it up for funsies at the bookstore, but man was i unprepared. it's not a fun read by any means, nor is it easy, it's actually pretty brutal, but it's a good story, so i felt i should include it. (it is one of my faves) (manga / rereads: none bc i will kill myself.)
summer of you (kimi wa natsu no naka) by furuya nagisa changed me. it was one of those manga that was in my to read list for a really long time, but i just never did it. when i finally did, i totally regret putting it off. i think i cried. it has a sequel (summer with you), and that was good too, but that first one just really got me (manga / rereads: 1)
fools by yeongha has an art style i will forever be jealous of. the original, that is. i'm sure the remastered version is great, and probably the one i should read, but i'm just way too attached to the original and the art is (in my opinion) way better. the story is fun and sweet, and i read it at another formative time in my life. *jazz hands* (manhwa / rereads: 3)
my darling signed in by dimang and new lung. if there's one thing about me, i'm gonna read a video game catfish story. this manhwa is so fucking ridiculous, but i love it. it actually gets pretty dark, which took me by surprise the first time i read it, but it's not between the main cp, if you're worried about that (manhwa / rereads: 3)
dasadanan by herb mandu also has just lovely art. i can just stare at it for ages bc i'm so obsessed. also there's side gl, and i love those two girls so damn much. the story is very easy to read, fluffy, and it's just good feelings all around. it also has some really silly extras. (manhwa / rereads: 4)
history3: trapped is so... it is also dear to me. the main couple is funny and cute; however, it's the side couple that really gets to me. they're so ridiculous and fun, and the actor for zhao zi is an acrobat? does acrobatic dance? i'm not sure exactly, but they wanted to showcase that so he'd just be doing some random gymnast shit for no reason and it's so funny. and jack was made in a lab for me, so. y'know. (drama / rewatches: 2, about to be 3)
glasses cloth and playlist by gwak jonpil was recommended to me by a friend i believe, and i'm so glad i read it. it's another easy read and also very ridiculous, but when i say something is "ridiculous", that's usually a huge compliment. i LOLed at, like, every other panel. the main cp is so damn ridiculous, and i adore them. (manhwa / rereads: 1)
starting with a lie by liang azha has the softest art i've ever seen. that manhua is like a warm hug, if a warm hug also had you gritting your teeth and clenching your fists because GODDAMN JUST GET TOGETHER FOR REAL ALREADY! i love it. oh, but i don't like qiu tian. sorry. (manhua / rereads: 2)
how to survive as a villain by yi yi yi yi is... look, i'm sure it has flaws, right? every story has flaws, but wherever they are, i did not see them. i mean, it's a little bit ridiculous at times, but again, "ridiculous", and the mc was transmigrated into a once-good now-trashy harem novel. and he's also smart but oblivious. bound to be a little bit silly. but also this novel ripped out my heart and stomped on it. and i thought it wouldn't happen with the manhua, but i cried then too. what the hell. i really enjoyed this story, and i think it's what got me into transmigration stories in general :P (danmei / rereads: 2)
a shoulder to cry on by dongmul. okay. OKAY. this is not a "happy" story to most. also the ending without the extras/epilogue is bittersweet to ambiguous. the issue here is that I LOVE ENDINGS LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!! this story is so damn good and i like the art a lot and god, some of the quotes? every time i reach certain scenes i have to pause and stare at the wall because no fucking way. it's just too good. i should go ahead and warn that the couple doesn't have the healthiest of dynamics and their relationship starts bc one of them lies and accuses the other of sexual harassment, so. i'm just letting you know now. but i let myself have toxic yaoi. as a treat. tbh to me it's not that bad, but i know everyone has different intensity levels, so. (manhwa / rereads: 3)
never understand by bbong is an... interesting read. arguably more toxic yaoi, and everyone at times can be kind of awful and annoying, but i think that's fun. sorry. i vividly remember reading this for the first time. for some reason. also, as with a good amount of manhwa that i read in my more formative years, i like this art style. (manhwa / rereads: 1)
semantic error by j soori and angy kim is a lot more graphic and hardcore (sex-wise) than the kdrama, which makes sense, but like... DAMN! my toxic trait is that every three panels i pause and go "hey does anyone else think these guys look like jaedo?" and the sniper that's supposed to shoot me any time i bring up rps lets me live because i'm objectively right. the characters are so damn infuriating, but i like watching car crashes, so it's alright. plus the art is good and, well, i never said i don't ship jaedo. *glass next to me explodes after a bullet cuts through it* whatever! (rereads: none bc it ended not that long ago. but i'll probably reread it soon)
no.6 by asano atsuko and here comes all the haters being like, "oh, that's not bl!" "that's more than bl!" "[some more dumb shit i don't care about]!" suck my pussy. i don't care. i loooove the novels and hope we get a printed official english translation. people are right to say the romance isn't the focus, but it's there, and honestly, i love plotty shit. i've heard it's supposed to be the "happy version" of banana fish or whatever the fuck, but damn if that's not a fucked up version of happy. i sobbed my fucking eyes out (novel & animanga / rereads: 2)
snow fairy by serizawa tomo. i'm not gonna lie, i don't remember this story, but on my big list it has a heart next to it, and i feel like i cried when i read it. i've said i've cried about like half of these, and i cry when i see something cute or when i think about my blorbo or when a song is pretty, so that means nothing. but this one really got to me! i think it was just a simple story with lovely art. it aches, maybe. actually, i've just found my initial review, which reads: "im so miserable....." (rereads: none, but i'd like to reread it asap)
bj alex by mingwa. insert loud and disappointed "ooh" from the crowd bc really, phil-lesterfan? i thought you were a scholar? with taste? LOOK. i know this is a basic manhwa, and i couldn't give a rat's ass about the side cp, but ahn jiwon somehow became pookie. it is agonising, though, 'cause like i said, i don't care about the side cp, but oh my fucking god, it feels like everyone else only cares about them. shoot me. also the side cp is into bdsm, but you can skip over their shit honestly. (rereads: 2)
aien catharsis by oshima kamome was another manga that'd been in my tbr list for ages. i really like how the story feels. aaaaand i just reread it and ah. i see why it affected me. (if you can guess what line stuck out to me, lmk, i'd love to hear it heh) it's historical fiction and has lovely art. tw for sexual assault, but it's not between the cp and it's also not shown. (manga / rereads: 2)
like i said, i have a lot more favs, so if anyone wants the full list, just ask. or if you don't want the full list, i can give rec lists for certain genres or just manga or just danmei, etc, etc. i know i'm in batman hell right now (ah. western yaoi....), but i've been fujoshing since i was like... ten. okay this is of course way longer than it should be. hope u enjoy if you read any of these ^_^ <3

karlyyyy babyyy did you get anything done from your to-do list!! sorry I got distracted this whole week and forgot to check in on you 😆
!!! I got one (1) thing done from my art to-do list! I finished the next episode of my webcomic earlier this week, and finally uploaded it today! 😃 here’s one of my favorite snippets from the episode:
Tumblr media
(Not-so-subtle Haikyuu!! reference 😋 Also I just really liked the expression of the guy on the left. He’s just like me fr)
Although I didn’t really work on much else from the to-do list, I DID do a few other things this week that I’ve been meaning to do:
Vacuumed my room!
Scheduled the appointment for my car to get fixed after that stupid hit & run accident I was in. The appt isn’t until October, but just having it scheduled and the rental booked makes me relieved
Bought a new bed for my dog. Maximum Coze!
Tumblr media
Read Vol 7 of Tian Guan Ci Fu! I really thought it was the last volume… but nope! One more (I think??) comes out in November 😤
Read the comic, Semantic Error! I watched the show and heard lots of stuff about the comic, and I finally got to check it out. I like it!
Got my hair done! Shaved down the back and sides that were getting way too long, and touched up the blonde on my outgrown roots
Got my flu shot!
Started this Jujutsu Kaisen puzzle I got for my birthday while listening to my 2004-2014 Emo playlist! Still working on it…
Tumblr media
Watched the live action One Piece!! Gotta be honest, I’ve never really had an interest in watching the anime. But the live action was really fun and enjoyable!
Went out to dinner with my spouse for our anniversary! We’ll have been married for six years as of the 16th 🩷 we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for wings, burgers, and beer lmao but it was nice to just be outta the house
Bought this cute lil Halloween bat mug! Ok, this wasn’t really something I planned on doing… but we needed to stop at the store after our dinner, I was tipsy, and I saw the Halloween decor from across the store lolol. I couldn’t just pass him by!
Tumblr media
And slept… SO so much. I mean my sleep schedule has totally shifted… I’m now staying up until 3-4am and sleeping until 10-11am, which honestly is just as much sleep as I’d normally get. But then there’s all the lil nappy naps throughout the afternoon lol. Hopefully I can shift back to something more normal in time for Monday 🥴
It’s been a nice week off 😌

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 🎄🎁
Tumblr media
I've watched along with my friends 3 movies recently and thought I'd share it with you ✨️
Tumblr media
♧ Ingrid Goes West
— This one is pretty sad and frustrating. There's a lot of scenes that make you laugh because it's funny, absurd, and awkward. It's pretty deep also since it talks about mental health and social media. I'd probably rated this one higher if not for the ending that seemed pretty much telling for me. 8/10
Tumblr media
♧ Conclave
— This one was a surprise for me. Loads of twists and secrets. I'd also like to mention the highlighted pointers here; religious ideas, concepts, and deconstruction of the combined themes. 9/10
Tumblr media
♧ You're Next
— Had it's moments but I think this one was a missed for me. I really didn't enjoy it that much. 6/10

Note
hi! i heard semantic error novel is 18+ while the manhwa is just shounen ai, is there a possibility for this tag to change in the future chapters? has there been any case of series like that before
there is! angy (the artist) mentioned they would try to do some 19+ scenes in the webtoon extras so we’re holding out for a tag change. but just forewarning, it will take some time because we’re still only on vol 1 in terms of novel content and there’s 3.5 vols worth of the main story for semantic error
the most famous webtoon that went from sfw to 19+ is probably cherry blossoms after winter so it has happened before :)

Literature reviews of business process modelling
Tumblr media
BMP has become more and more popular in the business world because of its beneficiaries. It is crucial process which can lead the organisation to success or fail in the dynamic environment. It also is one of the most important supported tools that increases the profits of an enterprise (Schiff 2010). However, the tool must face with challenges and issues during the happening process. Therefore, this document will capture an overview of BPM that relates to challenges, security issues and governance issues from literature reviews.
Challenges faced while modelling modern business processes
There have been some significant challenges that an organisation has encountered while operating BPM. Due to time limitation, this part will focus on five significant challenges that have been identified from divergent researches. Rapid change in business processes (BPs) by changing technology has been the first remarkable challenge, according to Rosemann (2006). The author has pointed out that the rapid change leads to faults and show in the BP when it alters from one stage to other stage quickly. In addition, Bögel, Stieglitz and Meske (2014) add that the organisation will face with “model-reality divide” and “lost innovations” when it has a transition between modern BP and traditional BP in collaborative processes. The second challenge of BPM is the altering economic environment surround an organisation (Alotaibi 2016; Hvolby & Trienekens 2010). The three authors have defined that some forces can influence the business environment lead to change BPs such as customer power rather than controlling product or service provider. Furthermore, some researchers have proved that the design of BP in limited area will not cover all services. In addition, some design principles of organisation will not operate under contextual requirements when the business environment surround it alters (Ponsignon, Smart, & Maull 2012). The third issue is a misalignment between business strategies and IT (Alotaibi 2016; Arnold & Laue 2014). The authors have explained that the organisation’s business fails to exploit the existed IT resources because of misaligning between business strategies and IT. The next challenge is “dynamic batch processing activities” that BPM tools have encountered   (Igor Pihir, Katarina Tomičić-Pupek & Neven Vrček 2018). These authors have shown that it impacts dynamically on the implementing activities and BPMNv.2 can handle this issue with its built-in simulation features. The last excited challenge in information technology age is “managing processes in virtual organisation context”. Olariu and Aldea (2014) have asserted that virtual organisation could have virtual office, virtual leaderships and virtual teams that are established from independent firms to handle a project in a specific industry such as software development industry. The two authors have proved that conducting well defined-processes in this industry by using BPMN tool and methodologies is the possible solution to address the challenge. From this part, most of studies highlight the key challenges such as changing technology, changing business environment and internal BPs management that the organisations have encountered and addressed with solutions. Therefore, change management is crucial knowledge that can assist to prepare and find solutions.
Security issues in business process models
Security has a crucial position in BPs of an organisation in an age of information technology (Alotaibi & Liu 2012a; Basin et al. 2009; Goluch et al. 2008). However, it becomes a difficult challenge from many studies when organisation attempts to put it into BPs (Ahmed & Matulevičius 2014; Alotaibi & Liu 2014; Rodríguez et al. 2011; Saleem, Jaafar & Hassan 2012). There have been some reasons for this issue that many researchers have concerned. However, this part will focus only two significant issues because of time constraints. Firstly, security has been integrated into a designed BP by misunderstanding developer (Alotaibi & Liu 2012c; Alotaibi & Liu 2014). Secondly, the complexity and error-prone have existed in security properties when it has integrated by hand (Alotaibi & Liu 2014). Besides, the authors also have added one more notion that is information system (IS) developers’ lack of experience (Alotaibi & Liu 2014; Rodríguez et al. 2011). It can bring security leaks in the system, particularly BPM. Therefore, these authors have suggested some possible solutions that are strong guidelines and appropriate tools (Ahmed & Matulevičius 2014; Alotaibi & Liu 2014; Rodríguez et al. 2011). These are applied to develop secure applications. Furthermore, Ahmed and Matulevičius (2014) have proposed a method that can develop a higher level of the security of the collaborative link. It includes business and security analysts. The method has “a set of security risk-oriented patterns” and the authors have tested it in two industrial business models including software development and e-commerce business. In addition, some authors have suggested different supported tools such as “BPSec” (Business Process Security) (Rodríguez et al. 2011) and “UML-SOA-SEC” (Saleem, Jaafar & Hassan 2012) to improve the security performance in software development industry. From the literature reviews in this part, security issues and the solutions can be diversification from divergent context and variety of industries. If the security issues have been handled with appropriate guidelines and supported tools. BPs can improve the performance and the firms can gain benefits. If not, the BPs can face with risks and threats that lead to failures and losses.
Process Governance Issues for quality control
Governance processes have related to management and control processes that have included policies, legislations and regulations in BPs modelling (Unhelkar 2009). This author also has pointed out that the organisation should conduct documents and studies to check the validity of policies and procedures of company-wide and these tools can be applied internally. On the other hand, policies of external firm are all requirements that can fulfil strategy for quality control. In addition, some studies have defined that governance processes include “modelling business decisions” processes that encompass “the business goals”, “rules measurement” and “rules analysis” (Alotaibi and Liu 2012c; Zur Muehlen & Indulska 2010). These rules can be implemented on stakeholders, BPs, “behaviour and information system” of an enterprise in order to control quality of BPM that is set in organisation’s strategies and goals. Besides, some authors have shown some governance processes issues of quality control in different business such as e-business (Zhu et al. 2015) and software development (Knuplesch & Reichert 2017; Zur Muehlen & Indulska 2010). In e-business, these authors have mentioned that using internal policies of the organisation to control the quality of BPs whereas in software development, the other authors have pointed out that the firm implements four “rule modelling” specifications to increase the quality level of concept in BPs at the first steps of creating BPM. These rules include “The Simple Rule Markup Language”, “the Semantic Web Rules Language”, “the Production Rule Representation”, and “the Semantics of Business Vocabulary and Business Rules”. Using compliance rules to remove ambiguities in concepts and allow automated processing (Knuplesch & Reichert 2017). Governance processes in this part is so very important by supporting the firm to improve the quality of BPs and fulfil the strategies and goals in divergent business environment. Internal and external policies, rules and documents are the integral parts of BPM.
Withdrawing a conclusion
Although BPM is a complicate subject in term of its concept tools and operations, it is essential to derive and utilise learned knowledge to understand the challenges and issues that BPM encounters in a feasible context. This review is very beneficial and necessary that concentrate on learners’ expanding knowledge in order to understanding the subject better. Do you have any points of view?
