junji ito ranking goes

1.tomie

i find tomie to be a very very good book !! its my favourite because of the art. seeing tomie being depicted so beautifully then being murdered in the most horrific way is a wonderful juxtaposition to me

2.lovesickness

the epidemic with the teen girls was very very interesting to me. and turning the page on the last chapter and seeing "the boy in white" made me cheer like my favourite teem just won the superbowl LOLLL not very scary but definitely a gripping story

3.uzumaki

well written story ! i dont have any big opinions about it but its popular for a reason

4.remina

really really liked the plot ! but i just wish junji went for a more "salem witch trials" vibe when they were trying to get rid of remina, rather than crucifixion (? i think thats what it was) big missed opportunity i think

5.mimis tales of terror

cute collection of stories ! decently scary and i really liked mimi as a character

6.sensor

really like the art for this one, BUT the last chapter was very confusing to me so i dont like it as much for that,,,seemed really out of pocket

7.soichi

had high hopes for this one, but all that ended up happening was me hating soichi and his family,,,,that boy needs mental help and theyre just not giving him it and then complaining when he preforms sacrificial rituals on them

8.deserter

uhhh i dont remember too much from this one but the whole twist at the end of "deserter" was pretty boring to me

9.smashed

weird beginning, and the stories didnt do much for me

10.gyo

I LOVE FISH but was so disappointed when the walking fish plot was dumped in like the first chapter and turned into,,,,?????war weapons????? very dissapointing
