#sentence fragments and long sentences and make errors if it creates the emotional effect I want in my writing.’ And it’s like yes. correct.

I know I’m being a hater and this is a 100% harmless thing that’s just a pet peeve of mine but truly one of the most annoying brands of post is “I don’t care about writing, grammar or punctuation rules. I do what I want!” And then the examples they give are. Completely in line with grammar/punctuation/writing conventions. And it’s like oh ok. You don’t even know what these rules are but you’ve decided you’re against them even as you follow them without knowing it. You are the writing equivalent of people who think Taylor Swift is punk just so you know.
#like there’s that one post that’s like ‘I will use commas recklessly idc if it’s a run-on’ and it’s like ok so you do not know what a#run-on is. and the incredibly long sentence with multiple commas you’ve provided as an ‘example’ of you not caring about ‘run-ons’ is not#only not a run-on it’s completely grammatically correct. lol. ok.#and then there’s that post that’s like ‘Honestly I don’t think you should have to follow grammar rules if it ruins the effect. I will use#sentence fragments and long sentences and make errors if it creates the emotional effect I want in my writing.’ And it’s like yes. correct.#That is a well-established widely-understood convention of creative writing. have you ever read a book before? did you not notice that the#writer probably used ‘incorrect grammar’ frequently? did you assume that was a mistake and not an intentional choice?#and idk I regularly see posts like this and it’s so funny because these people clearly learned these rules and clearly prefer to follow#these rules - yet they don’t understand that they’ve learned them or follow them#and really want to position themselves as rebels and these rules as adversaries lol and they just. don’t even know how completely#proper/conventional/unrebllious they’re actually being#meanwhile the people they imagine to be opposed to their rebellion (other writers and readers and probs English and language teachers)#are not in reality opposed to breaking grammar/punctuation/writing rules or grammar and haven’t been for a long time#because the idea that everyone had to follow standard English perfectly in all contexts is completely outdated and stopped being the#popular belief decades ago.#so it’s like. not only are you NOT breaking the rule you think you’re breaking - but you don’t need to make some final stand defending your#choice to break it either. because nobody cares. nobody wants to stop you. everybody else is either breaking rules or recognizing that the#rules are made to be broken. so it’s fine. please relax.

THE POSITIVE & NEGATIVE; Mun & Muse - Meme.
Tumblr media
Fill out & repost! This meme definitely favors canons more, but I hope OC’s still can make it somehow work with their own lore, and lil’ fandom of friends & mutuals. Multi-Muses pick the muse you are the most invested in atm.
My muse is: canon / oc / au / canon-divergent / fandomless /
Is your character popular in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK
Is your character considered hot™ in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK
Is your character considered strong in the fandom?  YES / NO
Are they underrated?  YES / NO
Were they relevant for the main story?  YES / NO
Were they relevant for the main character? YES / NO
Are they widely known in their world?  YES / NO
How’s their reputation?  GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL
How strictly do you follow canon?
Pretty much everything up to the end of Shippuden pretty much remained canon, though I had dropped Naruto at some point so there’s huge chunks of the story I don’t know, and I’ve had people fill me in--so secondhand story is just about as effective as a game of telephone. Anyway, directly the end of Naruto, before he leaves Konoha on his ‘redemption journey’ is when it starts getting divergent. It definitely is whenever he returns to Konoha.
SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.
If you want a muse that isn’t constant slice of life or vanilla(which isn’t a bad thing! I enjoy those things too!), if you’re looking to explore someone who’s been betrayed and oppressed by the village and his only friend, you’ve found him. Like delving into sad topics and threads that can pull at your heartstrings? I’m totally into that and would be glad to thread with you.
Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?)
He’s harsh and blunt. Contains themes of alcohol abuse. He won’t be afraid to insult your muse, even if he’s trying to be ‘a better man’, if that’s not for you, I’d advise not following.
What inspired you to RP your muse?
The end of Naruto completely rubbed me the wrong way. No mention of any changes in the system. I created the blog out of sheer spite and loathing for the ending, and my opinion has not changed in the least.
What keeps your inspiration going?
Honestly, my inspiration has been waning, but that’s all irl stuff. It also doesn’t help that most of the Naruto rpers I was following are disappearing. But, I just gotta start thinking about Sasuke, about his past, his motivations, the things he’s gone through. If I have a daily reminder of that, it usually helps.
Some more personal questions for the mun.
Give your mutuals some insight about the way you are in some matters, which could lead them to get more comfortable with you or perhaps not.
Do you think you give your character justice?  YES / NO. / IDK
Do you frequently write headcanons?  YES / NO.
Do you sometimes write drabbles?  YES / NO. / Only sometimes
Do you think a lot about your Muse during the day?  YES / NO. / Not lately
Are you confident in your portrayal?   YES / NO
Are you confident in your writing?  YES / NO
Are you a sensitive person?  YES / NO / Sensitive to others emotions maybe?
Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal?
If. It’s. Constructive. If someone just comes in and says ‘you’re portraying Sasuke wrong’, or something similar without backing it up with examples on how to improve, then I’m most likely going to disregard it.
Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?
Yes! It helps me get to know my muse better and flesh out his world more, lets me get into writing his voice in a more defined way. So I’m always accepting questions, even if they seem to be mundane and ordinary!
If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?
Headcanons are opinions. Headcanons are easy to ignore. People will think differently, and that’s completely normal and okay! As long as no one’s trying to pass headcanons off as canon, then everything’s peachy!
If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?
Just unfollow me then. I wouldn’t see why they’d want to follow if they think I’m portraying my divergence wrong.
If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?
Oh I know there’re plenty of Sasuke haters out there. I’ve seen complete hate groups for him, come across a few irl and on other sites. I’d say I’m numb to it by now, but that’d kinda be a lie? I’m used to it, but I’ve also learned to keep scrolling.
Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?
Not exactly? I mean yeah, it’d help me improve my writing, but I guess it depends on how they tell me. I’m already aware of a few grammatical errors I tend to make: switching tenses...I also tend to use fragmented sentences a lot. Though that one might be more stylistic writing? idk man.
Do you think you are easy going as a mun?
I’d like to think so! Though I’ve had people tell me I’m intimidating...I swear guys, I’m pretty chill. People have told me(after we finally start talking) that I’m pretty friendly!
That’s about it, congrats for filling out!

One Of The Most Vital Winning Texas Hold'em Book - Your Journal
Why Have a Texas hold'em Journal?
Poker is a lasting game. It's truly not that different from investing, other than you can't have another person do it for you. You have to make the cash yourself. But you wouldn't invest without having a plan, keeping records, tracking results, assessing brand-new possibilities, as well as exploring new choices. Right? The exact same holds true of online poker. Poor players (fish) never record anything. They never track anything 토토사이트. They do not make decisions today based on historic facts. They do not recognize the distinction in between playing the website they are on (or the table) as well as the other websites in the online poker globe. They simply sit down, blind in, and start playing. Fish don't play texas hold'em for the lasting. They bet the Right Now! This hand! This moment! This session! If they win they are thrilled. If they shed they are dispirited. They are ... in a word ... TARGETS!
You make every effort to be even more than that, clearly. Nonetheless, many players who strive to be extra miss out on the Most Effective Device online poker has to offer - HISTORIC TRUTH. Historic reality is what HAPPENED. Exactly how it took place. Why it took place. Since, think what ... It'll take place again!
If you do not keep records then you can't learn as promptly as you should from your blunders. Possibly you will not pick up from them in all. Maybe you'll learn for a while and afterwards forget about it again. Your texas hold'em journal is exactly how you touch one of the most powerful online poker tool that exists.
If you do not keep records after that you lose out on the Most Effective Tool casino poker has to provide - YOUR BRAINPOWER. Your mental capacity is what is mosting likely to take you right into the future. It's what's going to establish the path for your future success or failure. Since ... As a guy thinketh ... so is he! The Holy bible: Adages
You spend hours looking at a computer system display, playing hands, making reads, discovering lessons (good as well as bad). You read articles as well as books, speak to various other casino poker gamers, and also observe others who are extra experienced than you. Where does all this details go? It can't simply go in your head. Your head is a horrible record keeper. It's manipulated by feelings, it has tons of non-poker work to do, and it often tends to fail you at the worst times in texas hold'em. So, rather than relying upon your head, depend on your casino poker journal. An online poker journal never forgets. You need to examine it frequently. As well as the reality that you have videotaped things, will certainly motivate you to broaden them as well as consider them extra.
The just how's as well as why's of keeping a poker journal.
Hopefully I've encouraged you that a poker journal will actually include value as well as results to your online poker game. Basically the HOW is basic. Simply start doing it! Yet, here are some points I've done for years with my casino poker journal. With any luck you can make use of some of them.
While you can maintain a texas hold'em journal online on your computer system, I don't recommend it. And while any old spiral note pad will certainly do, I would motivate you to get something much more significant. Your next time out, take a shopping journey for a journal. Regarding electronic journals, consider it by doing this; the amount of computer files can you discover from 3 years back? Very few. How many photos do you have from your youth? Most likely several. Physical points are permanent, electronic files are easily lost, failed to remember or damaged. So go for the physical thing.
I utilize a refillable natural leather journal cover I purchased Barnes as well as Noble. Here's why. Leather is excellent! It provides your thoughts relevance as well as heft. Leather is irreversible and reassuring. When you compose in this journal it attracts you to become better. It's additionally refillable and also it belongs to keep a pair pens. All of this is very important for me since I need my journal to be ready to go as well as stand up to my way of living. I undergo regarding 1 refill every 9 months approximately as well as I undoubtedly keep the old journals for reference. I lug my journal with me nearly all the time, as well as I make notes in it frequently.
So, what do you write in your journal?
List whatever comes to mind. I use my journal for individual notes as well as objectives in addition to texas hold'em objectives - to me they are one in the exact same; because, online poker makes numerous aspects of my life feasible and my life impacts my casino poker. I begin every journal with my life goals and also ideas that help me be successful at whatever I'm doing. In this way I know exactly where to head to get my mind right if I start to waver.
After that I just write whatever I think is necessary as it comes to mind. These include points like:
- Starting Hand Charts
- Casino Poker Session, SnG, as well as MTT notes
- Online poker concepts I check out in publications, magazines as well as online
- Summaries of what I think aids me accomplish my texas hold'em as well as life goals
- Personal Renovation concepts and also notes
- Repetitive Sentences - This is essential.
Online poker has a wonderful capability to connect us up in knots when we have poor sessions or make errors. The best means to work out the unfavorable energy that gets developed in times such as this is to write a sentence 50-100 times. That helps me exercise the negative emotions as well as redouble my efforts. Arbitrarily opening my journal I see a couple pages of "I will follow my regulations 100% when I play." That's from a few sessions of damaging my very own good suggestions and playing like a fool.
So those are some suggestions of what you might keep. I have notes regarding what texas hold'em write-ups I require to write, time monitoring activities, as well as even questions I make use of to come close to life in a favorable means. It's all excellent!! Due to the fact that the act of creating focuses the mind, it makes long-term many things that you would certainly lose if you tried to bear in mind them in your head; it makes clear; as well as it gives you something to reflect on as well as see your accomplishments.
If you have an interest in seeing inside my journal, here's a sample. A lot of these points do not seem casino poker associated, however they set the foundations for my casino poker success.
LIFE GOALS:
1. Time, Adaptability, Independence - I am an independent human that has 100% control of my time and actions without economic limitations or pressures.
2. Technique, Wish, Control - I have the self-control and need to control my own time as well as tasks in a manner that brings all-around fullness for me as well as for my family members.
3. A Transforming Force - I am a positive force to change those around me for a better as well as happier life.
4. Kaizen - I will enhance as well as expand in big or little significant as well as positive ways in some aspect of my life everyday till the day I die.
" We are what we think. All that we are emerges with our ideas. With our thoughts we make our globe" The Buddha
" Points do not transform. We change." Henry David Thoreau
Trouble Resolving Concerns: (from Anthony Robbins).
1. What is excellent concerning this issue?
2. What is not ideal yet?
3. What am I happy to DO to make it the way I want it?
4. What am I willing to no more do to make it the means I desire it?
5. Exactly how can I delight in the procedure WHILE I do what is needed to make it the method I desire it?
Those are simply some fragments from my casino poker journal. Those don't state "texas hold'em", but for me they are important to continued casino poker success. Much of my journal entrances are the basis for chapters in this publication, due to the fact that they have turned into full articles on the subject concerned.

More questions, not many answers.
If my brain was like a big glass jar, and every thought was a piece of paper in the jar - I feel like mine is full the brim. And they are not beautiful, long form essays on nicely printed paper, perfectly folded and stored. It’s full of random bits of pieces, a sentence or two, shoved in there and the lid jammed on top. Not pretty.
Emotionally, I am feeling better at the moment. I seem to have slowly begun to rise out of the depressed rut I was stuck in, with a lot of hard freaking work. Every day is a decision to be well. But with time, you eventually feel like you’re not in the fog as much and the decision comes more easily.
Your brain comes alive again. And for me, that brings an absolute avalanche of thoughts that had been lost in the fuzziness and fogginess. And often not in a useful way, but instead a random influx of part-reminders and fragments of ideas.
If feeling low makes you forget everything all at once, feeling better can overwhelm you with overactivity. It’s only for a few days, as I figure out what life is like when I’m feeling like I’ve found my feet again. But it also requires me to be intentional with my choices and make sure I’m looking after myself - rather than falling into the old patterns that burn me out and drag me down again.
I am not great at that - I often start to feel better and then let everything I’ve worked so hard to implement fall by the wayside. I forget to be intentional. Rather than considering each decision and what is best for me, I just go with whatever pops into my mind at the time. If I can, I do.
Example: This weekend. Feeling well, I spent 4 days continuously in the presence of others. Shopping, watching movies, serving at church, supporting mates at a volleyball competition, kayaking, family dinner. Four late nights. No journalling. No self care. My diet was a mess. Tuesday morning - dead tired, emotional and guilty. Guilty for “throwing away” my good run of wellbeing.
For starters: that’s a lie. If you had a great weekend, then you absolutely did not throw away your wellbeing. You created wonderful memories, you spent time with people you love, and you had fun! There is nothing better for your wellbeing than that!
Secondly: guilt is a side effect of self-critical thought. Be kind to yourself. Stop telling yourself that you’ve done something wrong for enjoying life in a particular way. Celebrate the good, embrace self-compassion, and move forward. Learn, adapt and continue.
You’re never going to get everything right 100% of the time. But really, what is “right”? Who says that there is a right way to go about your life? We need to destroy this dichotomy of right and wrong, and instead view our lives as a series of opportunities - chances to make the most of certain options, ways to live that align with our values. Everybody has different values and will feel more or less empowered when they do different things.
This weekend wasn’t fully in line with my values. But it was in line with some. Working out that balance of what my values are and how to get maximum fulfilment out of them is a lifelong process of trial, error and adaptation.
During these times when I start to feel better and my mind is overwhelmed with a million different thoughts, I slip into autopilot and let myself be driven by fear and weakness. For example: I need to prove to people that I care about them, I am not fulfilling my potential unless I am always busy etc. etc. Instead of choosing what is best for me, and what I truly want, I try and protect myself from these - usually by avoidance or people pleasing. In time though, living this way makes me exhausted, empty and low.
How does one reign in the abundance of thoughts and learn to be intentional with their decisions? How do I make a conscious decision to slow down my mind for long enough to actually process the hundreds of little papers filling my jar? Because I am not giving them the attention the demand, the papers cannot be removed, but are instead cramming in until nothing more can fit. Cue the stress crying.
This is like one of those awful books where the last sentence resolves nothing but leaves you with more questions than answers. Unsatisfying hey? I’m sorry. I really don’t know the answer yet. But I know I’ll work it out. Because that’s what growing up is all about.
