According to AutoRacer.it, the engineers have solved the puzzle of the SF-25 that observers began with the Bahrain tests. From what we understand, the problem has nothing to do with the new design of the front pull rod suspension, nor with aerodynamics in the strict sense since it is respecting the stability requirements.

The extra plank wear is not a cause but a consequence. The rear end structure does not allow for the expected stiffness, which forces the height to be increased in parc fermé to protect oneself with 100kg on board . The main culprit is the rear suspension, homologated in July last year, together with the new gearbox.

The Haas shares the mechanical parts and has worked well after the Australian disaster, however it does not have the performance load platform or the sophisticated aerodynamics of the Ferrari.

In other words the SF-25 struggles with excessive softness that is compromising its operability. It seems like something already seen, for example, on the old Mercedes last year. The Red in the right conditions can generate much more downforce than the previous car, the sprint showed what the car could do with 35kg of fuel. Qualifying after three hours has once again erased expectations, less downforce in the corners and greater instability of the rear.

Loic Serra arrived in October so relatively late on the 677 project. The French TD has returned to Maranello and is intervening to correct its effectiveness and reliability but clearly it is premature to formulate a solution or a timetable. The problem is not easy to solve, the engineers are also working on some areas of update that should be introduced new parts from Bahrain.

Congratulations! You've been accepted to Bedlington Latin Academy, a distinguished institution nestled in the heart of San Myshuno. Our mission is to provide a rigorous, college-preparatory education, with a strong emphasis on the Latin language and classical literature. The school name is inspired by Adeepindigo's Education Mod. The lot functions as a park or library, making it easy to host clubs—like a teacher’s club and a student club—to bring the school to life. Alternatively the academy can be set as a Small Business lot, "owned" by the principal and staffed by assigned teachers. Payments can be interpreted as local taxes or private school fees. Other playable options include, Zerbu's Go to School mod, which works with this setup. I've included principal and counselor offices, ensuring compatibility with that mod.

CAVEATS:

the entire head setup takes up almost every skin detail slot. plan accordingly!

some hairs, particularly ones with bangs close to the forehead and ones with scalp textures, will not work

lipsticks will not work unless made for the head

some eyebrows will look odd / distorted

glasses and earrings may sit uncomfortably high on the face/ears

the majority of these are due to the different shape of the head, and i can't really do much about them without losing the 'style' orz

Just a few thoughts from yesterday and my own opinions:

It is not racist to prefer Lucien over Azriel. Azriel is "supposed" to be a POC but Sarah has left the Illyrian race as to be so vague that they all just end up looking tan. Which could suggest they'd be Greek in the real world or Italian. And Lucien, even being "white passing" as someone from yesterday claimed, is still a POC. He's not less a POC just because he's mixed and it's actually a messed up take to say that for real life mixed people. Race literally does not play a part in this discussion.

Also, Lucien and Az may have had similar backgrounds and traumas but they have responded in extremely different ways therefore it's ok to prefer the way one handles situations over the other. This series is full of morally grey characters and while it's absolutely fine to like / have them as your favorite, it does not make sense to then try to argue how the morally grey character is actually innocent and doesn't do anything wrong. Every character makes mistakes but some approach things with a much different lens and Azriel is definitely written to be more morally grey than Lucien, he would be Batman over Superman. It's unjustified to claim that "because all characters make mistakes" I have to like the way Az approaches certain scenarios.

Making an accusation about Lucien stans, that we "accept" Lucien for this that and the other while claiming it's wrong how we don't give Az the same courtesy in this scenario is an argument lacking in nuance. For example, Lucien being a rake in book 1 is nothing like what we saw with Az in SF. I had a mutual point this out to me yesterday and I will absolutely tag them if they'd like to be credited but Lucien's setup is similar to Cassian / Rhys. Where Lucien engaged in casual hookups with characters we'd never met, not expecting them to be anything more and only looking for fun but the second Elain came into his life there was nobody else (even if it appears she has no interest in him). That's exactly what we saw with Cassian and Rhys. Yes, these males had past lovers but from the moment Nesta and Feyre entered their lives those hookups become a thing of the past.

Azriel, in comparison, is acting a bit like Nesta did (and maybe Elain though we don't have her POV to confirm it). Where her hookups in the novella and SF were not a result of "just having fun" but a distraction from her pain. Her gambling, her drinking, that wasn't her having a good time, it was a vice being used to mask her struggles. Az didn't just want a hookup, he wanted Mor to love him despite also having lovers and when that seemed to be hopeless he turned to his fixation on "3 brothers / 3 sisters". His actions with Elain were mainly a result of jealousy and that's not remotely close to what we saw when Lucien had his liaisons. Lucien's one night stands also did not have possible political consequences nor did they hurt anyone on page. Compare that to Az and we did see the consequences of an attempted hookup gone wrong. Elain's hurt and confusion was a direct result of what happened. Az's unjustified opinion of Lucien ("he'll never be good enough") was a direct result of what happened.

It is not wrong to feel Az is being unfair to Lucien. It is not wrong to feel that he should have let Elain down in a different manner.

The bonus is a very complex scene with heavy emotions and hurt feelings and to boil it down to "well you thought it was great when Lucien was a rake in book 1 yet you won't let Az be one too!" is such an outlandish accusation against Lucien stans. It's not even apples to oranges, it's like...apples to paperclips and what seems like willful ignorance, to brush aside that Az hurting Elain and Az hating on Lucien for no good reason does reflect on his character in a way that Sarah did not write Lucien's past "rakish" ways as doing. Yes, we can also acknowledge that Az is struggling but in an effort to prove how good and special Az is some completely gloss over that other main characters were treated unfairly as a result of his behavior and while that's fine for them it doesn't need to be how people who actually like Elain and Lucien feel. Two things can be true at once, he can be hurting and we can also disagree / dislike how he handled that pain.

Has Az made any effort to explain to Elain why he hurt her?

Has Az shown respect or kindness towards Lucien?

Then why do I have to wash away his actions all because "he didn't mean it because he's a good guy deep down!"? I'm allowed to wait for him to actually show remorse for his behavior and to follow that up with actual action. "But he did feel bad for hurting Elain!" Yes, except he didn't bother explaining that to her in any way that helped her understand. I'm allowed to want to see an act of emotional maturity from Az before running to his defense and I'm allowed to look at the way he behaves in all scenarios, not just how he treats Gwyn and Nesta.

If Lucien had hurt Gwyn without proper explanation and if Lucien had said Az wasn't deserving of his mate then I KNOW the other side would be hating on Lucien something fierce.

I stay out of the Pro Az and Az tags but if you're going to reblog an accusation aimed at Lucien stans and include the Lucien tag you shouldn't act victimized when someone tries to counter that claim and to explain why it's unfair to compare our opinion of Lucien to our opinion to Az. No matter how many similarities they might share in their past they are still two very different characters who behave in very different ways as a result and right now only one of those characters has undeserved bitterness toward the other. Lucien has never done a single thing to Az, he has helped the IC, he's a good person who has done no worse than any of them yet Az is still spouting off on how Lucien isn't good enough.

Then on top of that, they added Elain into the reblog for no reason at all.

Az will get his HEA, I have no doubt, and I know he's written as one of the "good guys" but that doesn't mean I have to prefer the way he handles things to the way Lucien handles things because they are very different and that cannot be denied. These accusations are coming from the same people who insist it is their right to dislike Elain, who consistently call her boring, selfish, undeserving of Az, manipulative and so. The same people who FILLED the Elucien tag for YEARS saying how Elain and Lucien aren't developed enough for their own books while Gwynriel is definitely next yet for some reason they just can't seem to handle when anyone thinks less of their fan favorites.

The relationship between Gwynriel / Eluciens has turned into some Gwynriels insisting it is their right to dislike Elain and loudly declaring how it's obvious Gwynriel is next and you're delusional to think otherwise. But when some Eluciens express frustration with Az's character and discuss why Elucien could be next, we're ruining the friendship, creating unnecessary drama, and are bullies.

But my question is, how is Gwyn's presence in the bonus chapter *not* meant to be a red herring?

Az and Gwyn getting together would be a huge deviation from the setup Az has with Elain in the actual books. SJM isn't going to completely change the direction of the plot in a bonus chapter the majority of readers won't see. That simply doesn't make any sense.

Seriously, when has a bonus chapter ever had an effect on the direction of the plot? Their whole purpose is to fill in some gaps/give extra context/offer some fluff.

I would also like to point out the similarities between Nesta's thoughts/feelings towards Gwyn in SF and Azriel's in the bonus chapter.

"The priestess drew up to her full height, which was slightly taller than average for Fae females. A crackling sort of energy buzzed around her, and Nesta's power grumbled in answer." - ACOSF ch. 9

"Azriel entered the warmth of the stairwell, and as he descended, he could have sworn a faint, beautiful singing followed him. Could have sworn his shadows sang in answer." - Az BC

"She honestly didn't know why she wished to see Gwyn." - ACOSF ch. 14

"A bell rang seven times somewhere nearby. (...) Gwyn sang, a faint glow seeming to radiate from her. (...) She'd never heard such music. Like a spell, a dream given form. (...) Something beckoned in Gwyn's song, in a way the others' hadn't. Like Gwyn was calling only to her, her voice full of sunshine and joy and unshakeable determination." - ACOSF ch. 52

"Instead, he found himself at the library beneath the House of Wind, standing before Clotho as the clock chimed seven in the evening. (...) Something sparked in Azriel's chest. (...) For whatever reason, he could see it." - Az BC

THIS is why so many Elriels think that the bonus chapter doesn't set up another couple, but instead gives more weight to the lightsinger theory.

There are too many similarities between how Nest and Azriel both react to Gwyn for this to be a coincidence.

And the fact that Azriel gets to the library at 7, which is when Gwyn sings (singing being the source of her power), it explains why he has these strong but seemingly inexplicable reactions. It's not a mating bond, it's Gwyn's lightsinging.

(However, I do want to add that I don't think this is being done purposefully on Gwyn's part.)

It makes way more sense narratively for the bonus chapter to make it look like Az may have another love interest when, in actuality, it's giving more evidence of another character's power, something already heavily hinted at in the main story.

You simply cannot convince me that there is any romantic tension between Az and Gwyn when the two don't even exchange any words until 80% of the way through ACOSF and she showed no interest in him romantically. And we are not going to see that tension for the first time in a bonus chapter that most people won't read.

saw a post of yours from a few years ago about how there is never going to be a star trek show that critiques the federation. and i agree, i think the thought processes of the people who continue to expand on star trek will never be anything more radical than their current liberal state. i also can never remove that thought from my mind of what that would look like. what i see, in a non-existent world, is star trek ending off the films and television series with a pre-planned seven season long series that ends in the dismantling and abolition of the federation, with the first season/s being usual space exploration plots and as the show goes on the more the crew (of a starship) realizes what they're contributing to. this could set up really good holosuite episodes. when rewatching ds9, it was unavoidable to me that the holosuite episodes allow for the writers to romanticize the 1960's and to propagate their idea of english masculinity. a plot i derived from its only a paper moon, far beyond the stars, and our man bashir is a distressed black federation officer resorting to 50's holosuite programs, and all the programs are whitewashed and safe and thus construct the 50s as safe. the character stays in the holosuite and due to overusage, the computers begin to malfunction leading to a more realistic 50's slowly being presented. by the time the character deattaches themself from the program, they begin to see similarities between what they saw in the program and how the federation treats itself as superior to other races; it could end with this character witnessing another interaction between the federation and the ligonians (TNG episode: code of honor), with the narrative acknowledgement of how colonial the federation is and how they deliberately misconstrue the ligonians as under-developed and savage. the plot commenting on how people say shit like i want to live in the 1950s and are so priviliaged that they cant understand that not only were people trying to gain their rights in that era but because of the perpetual lack of doing shit and because of those reactionary sentiments we still havent gotten those rights. &c &c &c &c but we could have everything if the writers weren't liberals

i just wanted to talk. this fandom is very isolating in how it talks about politics and seeing the responses from that post alleviated that for a while

yesss i love that concept. applying a decolonial lens to star trek (and sf/f more broadly) is something i spend a lot of time thinking about and i love imagining what stories in those settings could look like guided by that philosophy. for better or for worse star trek is always going to be a product of its time and circumstances but that also gives us as fans so many interesting jumping off points to talk about stuff like, say, the unintentional imperialism and colonialism written into the show. for example i like tng, don’t get me wrong, but the whole concept of “white frenchman shows up to a new place and solves all of their problems with the power of ethical thinking” is uhh, not an unproblematic one!

imo a federation decolonization arc would’ve worked really well in either voyager or ds9. voyager had a phenomenal setup for it, especially with chakotay right there, but on the other hand it’s not like they could’ve had much of an impact on the federation as a whole. if ds9 had more of a focus on the bajorans and the maquis as opposed to starfleet and really committed itself to deconstructing the whole frontier myth it could’ve worked great. in terms of possible future series i think the best case scenario is that we get something like star wars’ andor but for the maquis, but realistically even that will still probably treat the federation as the lesser of two evils

Hi everyone! I was going to share one of my older builds from years ago but I found out that most of the objects I used for that lot were in sim3pack format and most of the CCs I transferred over to my current setup have been converted to package files, which messed up the appearance of the lot. So, I've recreated it this time and I'm sharing a new grocery lot: the Organic Fresh Delights Grocery!

For the rabbit hole, I placed it in an empty stockroom/office and have also locked the fire escape door and fence at the back of the lot so that sims can only enter the door inside the building. This was the only option that worked during playtesting so that sims can enter in and out of the rabbit hole inside the room only. If you want to open those doors though, you can do it by editing the lot and click CTRL + Shift + Right Click to choose the unlock option. Due to the lack of windows on the first floor, I have placed a lot of buydebug lights and it may be too bright during the night so you can adjust it by enabling “testingcheatsenabled true” and “buydebug on” after. 📣This lot is a bit CC-heavy, as I have used more cc compared to game objects and these are not included on the download file. I’ve compiled a list for those interested in downloading them separately (please click the links above or go to WCIF Navigation page). The Late Night and World Adventures expansion pack is required due to the build items used in the lot but I'm not sure about buydebug items so Pets may be required as well. 📣There are two CCs that I was unable to locate the original link namely: mtk_signdoors and Public Signs - CAStable both from Macthekat. I tried the direct links and it doesn't work anymore so I had to check using the Wayback Machine site and was able to find her Terms of Use from the old site, Pink Rabbit that states "All our products is shear-friendly - just make sure to give proper credit. You may include my work in sims packages if you want to" and "You may include my stuff into almost anything – it would be nice if you mention my name, but I can live without it. You may share my stuff." With those terms, I have re-uploaded them to sfs and if there is an updated TOU from the creator (or if you are Macthekat) that states otherwise please do let me know and I will take the links down. 📣If you want a functional grocery store in your gameplay, you can use Ani's Sell From Inventory mod. I have used a few storage or chest-like CCs and a food register from ATS3 that you can use. If you prefer Ani’s Savvier Seller instead, you may have to replace most of the items and use ATS3 Savvy's Seller Collection set instead. You can also check out Mookymilksims guide and tutorial video for realistic function shops using Savvier Seller mod. It is very easy to follow and has detailed instructions to help you out to make it work! Let me know if you experience any problems on your end.
