First art of 2025, and it's some Squidcraft Shadnap art cause I got this done 2 months late 😭

"You know Sapni... we think its time you give up on connecting yourself to your old family"

Sapnap looks at him oddly from where he's sitting on the kitchen island drinking a smoothie, finishing it with one big gulp to respond.

"What are you talking about?"

He squints suspiciously at Shadoune, setting the glass down next to himself, dangerously close to the edge of the table.

"You know that family is as good as dead," Shadoune says slyly as he steps closer, placing himself in-between Sapnap's tights, "when we're done there will be no one left, only Dream and George, but they're not from that family anymore, are they?"

Shadoune gently grabs one if Sapnap's hands, bringing it up so it's in-between them.

"They're part of our family now. So are you. It's time to forget you were ever anything else"

Shadoune grins, spinning the damn ring in Sapnap's fingers that has been driving the entire team mad for weeks. Sapnap has started wearing it as soon as they gave him his gifts, George and Dream having perfectly matching ones in their hands.

They won't let them keep clinging to their old Mafia, specially not Sapnap. It's time for all of them to accept that they will be with this family until the end.

The new ring they commissioned for him will fit much better anyway, carefully crafted to resemble a dog collar, a ruby on the place of the tag. To be worn on the same place he wears the simple band now, a reminder that he will forever belong with them.

There's a moment of silence before Sapnap's confused gaze becomes wide and he looks at Shadoune like he grew three new heads.

"You mean my fucking wedding ring?"

Shadoune's body goes cold and his face flushes red, the ring on his back pocket suddenly made of twenty tons of lead.

"what"

"You mean my wedding ring?!" Sapnap's volume rises and there's a glint in his eyes that warns he has caught on Shadoune's flustered state and will not let it go, "You trying to steal my hand away?! Trying to get with a married man?! HEY HONEY, GET IN HERE!"

Shadoune can hear multiple doors opening all around the house, but he's frozen in place in pure horror of what this situation has become.

Not that he could escape even if he tried, not with the way Sapnap has his hand clamped around his wrist. The man might be much shorter then Shadoune but he can, and will, and has pinned him to the ground with almost no visible effort.

It doesn't take long until a few members of the team are at the entrance of the kitchen, asking about the yelling, but most importantly, Dream and George, their hands with matching rings, matching wedding rings, to Sapnap's.

God save him.

And I gave up 👍But what happens next is that Sapnap teases Shadoune for wanting to get with a married man, George asks if Sapnap hadnt gotten with him yet and if does that mean he can get dibs on shadoune, and someone from the Mafia makes a joke about the ring and accidentally incriminates them all by basically admitting this was a team effort
