What was your inspiration for creating best nos Bug?

I loved the nossies in vtmb and when I heard there wouldn't be playable nosferatu in vtmb2 (back when there was still hope for vtmb2) I was like Fuck it, I'm making my own. The basic concept was a mosquito-themed vamp. She turned out perfect first try <3

for Warhammer book recs, have you read Savage Weapons? it's a short story/novella about the Dark Angels vs Night Lords in the Thramas crusade, and has my all time favorite smash cut in literature lol Sigismund: the Eternal Crusader is also really fun (speaking as a chaos girlie, here). It has a lot of the grimdark and melodramatic shit that made me fall in love with Warhammer in the first plcae

And if you're into audiobooks, The Watcher in the Rain is a BANGER. The ending no lie made my jaw drop and I had to call up my best friend just to excitedly explain it to her (she only knows what I tell her of 40k lol)

So far as art requests, I loved your Talos/Xarl! Would love to see more of the First Claw boys doing what they do best (goofing off, NL-style, and/or running away)

Maybe a stupid set of questions, but do you have any pets? Any dream pets(pets you hope to have in the future or wish you could have)?

I have these little guys! Frappi and Maro. Their full names are Frappi Bappi and Maro Paro. Maro’s new thing is jumping on me and latching on with her claws so I’m covered in scratches -_-

I don’t really have any dream pets but I might adopt more rats in the future!

What's your OC's biggest fuck up?

What Silas personally considers his biggest fuck up was with the first regiment he was assigned to, when he decided to use a company as cannonfodder. The captain guessed his plan, mutinied with his squad, and captured Silas with the intention of turning traitor and giving him to the heretics. Silas was eventually rescued by guardsmen who were loyal to him, and lead them in a suicide mission which won them the planet but got everyone but Silas killed.

The fuck up part was his decision to order the suicide mission, which, even though it went well, Silas recognizes was made out of despair and a desire to die. He has survivor's guilt over it, which he deals with by pretending it doesn't exist/inventing some kind of logical reason why he feels bad.

What's the longest grudge your OC has ever held? Against whom and why?

Silas doesn't really hold grudges and actually has a disturbing lack of hate by Imperial standards. The worst thing you can do to him is disappoint him by not living up to his standards, and then he doesn't consider you worthy of holding a grudge against. During the events of Rogue Trader Silas has a "game" going on with Kunrad, but it's not really a grudge because he likes (dunking on) Kunrad and is therefore fond of him, like a Worthy Opponent thing.

There was also a six month period where he had to put up with a colonel he hated and he spent the entire time eagerly anticipating shooting him, but it still isn't really a grudge.

What's your favorite vampire movie(s)? Anything from cult classics to major films.

probably Near Dark! Severen is the vampire of all time.

I haven't seen that many vampire films though. I think I got a bunch people recommended to watch but also feel free to throw more recs my way!

Ooh I like these! Turns out I'm having a hell of a time trying to articulate my thoughts but here

He's allergic to telling the truth. Deep down Silas is very detached and treats everything like a game to be won, he has no real morals. In order to hide this and appear as a model commissar/RT, he's built up various personas (of varying wackiness (the wackiness is to hide when he does slip up and do something odd)) and played so many roles that he's never shown his true self to anyone, if it ever existed at all. It's a defense mechanism but also it's just annoying for everyone who has to deal with him.

What's an unsavory detail about your OC or opinion they have (to their peer group)?

He loves to fuck around and find out and the Imperium hates it when you do both of those things. He hoards knowledge he has no reason to need, just in case it's useful someday. Basically, he knows too much and it's unseemly and possibly heretical!

He is like, the iconic vampire. That’s really all I can say about him. I appreciate him so much. I don’t find him attractive at all. I think someone should maul him. Everyone should strive to make vampires like him.

I don't tend to focus too much on the space marine side of 40k. But i gotta say your chaos space marine guy is very cool, i like the high-heel thing he got going

Have you ever or will you ever give a VTM character a happy ending (by which I don't mean a hand job)?

I think I did a poll a while back and people voted for a happy ending for the lads so they were saved, but I’d still like to do a short story or something exploring the bad end. Spoilers they die lol

But also, I need them alive for the Bug-centric sequel chapter I have planned (the working title is Lesbian Vampire Fight Club)
