I would like to congratulate my employer on creating an office environment that is so unfriendly to people with disabilities that it's scary. They should win an award. Maybe from the people who advocate for euthanasia for us. That seems like it would be a good partner for them.

I suppose it's a case of the best intentions and not considering people with disabilities. Why would any of them even assume it's a problem unless they are told. But when you make no effort to be inclusive in situations like this, it sure feels like a very clear message from society: We don't want you here. Get out.

Nevermind that my autism makes me amazing at my job. Nevermind that all the things my team receives praise for are due to my autism. None of that matters because the white noise machine is better for the normies.

I'm going to have to quit this job. And find myself another. And the whole situation is absolutely absurd when you think about it. But here we are.
