Just Tales from WIPtown - I’ve been working on this character for awhile because I think he presents interesting design choices. The Herald, God of Heroic Instruments, is a sword himself but can take on a humanoid form, and can recreate any weapon that he has in his ‘inventory’ (ie anything he has assimilated after he beat the snot out of the hero who owned it). He has some other drawings that I’ll post with it when its done, but I like this one in particular.  I had a picture of Mok from Rock n Rule up while I was drawing this, and when Jacob caught a glance of it, said: “Of course.”

I maybe want to get into the habit of posting WIPs more often, sometimes it’s fun to see the pencils I think, though it gets my jimbly jams in a ruffle when the WIP gets more notes than the final, lol. I’ll be putting this aside for a brief period while I work on a commission.

I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it on here, but Iona and Drell actually ended up getting pretty close and have a really delightful friendship. Iona is kind of a reformed villain and now that her god Apocrypha is dead, Drell has welcomed her into the Order of the Matrivalan Beltane. She’ll get a Season 2 redesign, so to speak, once we’re done with Godslaughter and start doing our new game (though I’m not going to change it too much, it’s mostly a color scheme alteration and also a new prosthetic).

Starting “The Terror” as I work on these chunky new commissions. Supernatural horror/drama set in the mid-eighteen hundreds is very up my alley, here’s to hoping that it’s an enjoyable ride.

 “Jerkules” seems to have gotten a bump from someplace and I have a new little wave of followers. Thank you so much for following me! Here’s a rundown of my blog so you can have a better idea of what it looks like on the regular:

-I’m Sal. I’m a boy human. This is my reblog/inspo blog. I’m not super chatty, but I’m trying to be a little more social. My art only blog is HERE if you just want the art. If you came here because you liked my drawing of a lanky guy with a weird shaped head, you’ll probably like the rest of my work.

-I reblog a lot of 60’s-80’s scifi fantasy art and pulp art, and most of my work and text posts are regarding DnD games that I play and/or run. I also love comics but lean more to the indie side. I don’t really think of myself as being in any fandoms per say, but I do make some content for Destiny 2 and Watership Down sometimes, which is a weird pair of things to be infatuated with but that’s where we are. 

-A cautionary tale as far as content goes: I don’t tag nudity, I don’t think it’s obscene, and do reblog artistic nudity, pinups, kinda cheeky stuff (of ladies, fellas and otherwise) and do also sometimes reblog gore - I’m really into terrible horror movies but also like and appreciate taxidermy or weird medical stuff. I do tag gore, but my definition of what counts as gore might be a little liberal. 

-My main project is The Road, which has one issue out for sale HERE, and will have more to follow. The current stories are about Domino, a disgraced former wrestler, and Artie, a sharpshooting mercenary, on a road trip through a big whacky, 70’s inspired fantasy world. I make it with my boyfriend, @saltineofswing. The setting is from a tabletop homebrew made by him, which is what most of my personal work is about.  

-My current tabletop campaign, which marks a new direction in our games and my content, is called Godslaughter.

-My commissions are open pretty much all the time unless said otherwise.

I’ve always really liked the inks and composition on this piece I did awhile back, but was underwhelmed by the finish and it understandably didn’t get much traction when I originally posted it. It’s on my commission sheet as a yellow background and I went, y’know, why don’t I just gussy it up and re-upload it as such? Much happier with the result this time around. 

Rusty and Jonquil from the Red Marauders AU where they go on a vigilante killing spree after Odwain and the other folks kark it, and are on the run after Jonquil accidentally kills his handler/BFF Hare. Also they kiss.

Howdy friends and neighbors, I’d like to let you all know that right now I’m going to be posting more art to Twitter until things stabilize, and probably won’t be posting much new content here for awhile - though, I’m NOT leaving! I’m also looking for a new social media outlet and will let everyone know when I’ve found one.

Paranatural is my webcomic readership white whale. I have started it approximately four times and have never gotten more than 30 pages in, though it is Objectively Good, Charming and Funny. Since then, I have read, to completion, in one sitting at times, webcomics that are indisputably much, much worse. Someday I’ll read it, but until then I feel like a tortured old Victorian sir, wandering about in my vast estate full of decaying curios and trophies of empty conquest, wailing the laments of my squandered youth as I swirl my brandy in a crystal goblet.

 “I am trapped in a cycle of meaningless decadence!” I cry as I hate read Jack or some shit, ignoring the fact that I have two perfectly good bitch hands and two perfectly mediocre eyes that can be used to read something decent.

Maybe because it’s almost 4am but I swear to god someday, SOMEDAY….I don’t even play fucking Overwatch, but I am getting so dreadfully tired of seeing 20 lbs of Genji/Hanzo/McCree/Junkrat ass spread all over my dashboard every day noon and night, that I will make the most luscious, sensual illustration of Torbjorn I can. I’ll fucking do it. My love of stout, hairy little men will mingle with my frothing, venemous font of spite to create a tastefully erotic image that’ll make Satan cry a single black tear of reverence.
