Pokemon Altered Playthrough

This is pokemon Altered, a Fire Red romhack with altered versions of 386 pokemon. I got interested in this game after fanart from an ice type Feraligatr line lead to this game. The pokemon you know are all regional variants with new types, sprites, movepools, ect, and the sprite work is great. The routes have been changed, new areas have been added, and lots of double battles and well built boss fights.

Anyway, this is good game that does exactly what it sets out to do.

I foolishly decided to complete the pokedex as part of the playthrought. And while an early exp share and lucky egg made this possible, the sheer number of pokemon in the game made this take awhile. As I playing an earlier version, losing the wiki with the data on the version I was playing towards the end of my playthrought was a real pain. And Oak didn't even acknowledge my accomplishment.

First up, my starter Angiros, a fire type bulbasaur line, holding a Charcoal. With Eruption and Nasty Plot this mon could a lot of damage, even if this very greedy movepool left it limited. Angiros fire type and early evolution made it a star early on and it never dropped off later. He's the game mascot for a reason.

Southland, my second starter, an ice type totodile line caught on route one and given a King's Rock for flavour reasons. This early game ice type was frail and lacked a good midgame STAB move, but hit hard the entire game. Did my starters struggle against Brock and Misty? Yes they did? Were they worth it? Heck Yeah!

Seasquirt, caught as drizzly water normal type Numel before the first gym and given a quick claw to compensate for her low team. While she was a nombo with my starter, as the water foil it felt right to run one. She was tough, faster than she looked, and hit hard especially in the games numerous double battles her boosted surfs and water spout's did lots of damage.

Combine, an electric dragon Tropius, caught on the route near the power plant on the path to Rock Tunnel. Even without a leftover, she was one of my teams two bulky mons with thunder wave to make catching pokemon easier, setup, take on overpowered bosses and speed control in doubles. Also got Thunder fairly early, which comboed very well with Seasquirt's drizzle. Her damage output might not have been the best, but she pulled her weight and filled an irreplacable role in the team.

ShiningOne, a fairy fighting clown themed Banette line holding a scope lens. She was added to my team after unlocking the bottom half of kanto as one of the few pokemon that didn't share a type of give my team a third teammate with a weakness in common. She had a great typing, great concept, great sprite and great movepool and special attack. She hit extremely hard specially, and her dragon immunity was critical against several mons. A wonderful mons.

Esmeralda, a grass type Suicune holding a shell bell or second leftovers, caught in Sevii islands after Blaine. My teams second ultra bulky mon, who is still fast and with Petal Dance to hit like nuke. She was chosen for having an excellent sprite, and replaced my teams previous grass type. Her Super Fang was good for both catching mons and cheesing bosses. Her incorporation made by team a little too specially focused but she was worth it.

Scourge, a grass type Sandslash holding a blackglasses, caught in viridian forest and ultimately replaced by Esmeralda. With False Swipe he was great wearing mons down to be captured, and his typing made him great against the first three gyms. Sadly he started falling behind, had an nonfunction party sprite that killed immersion, and was so replaced by the fabulous Esmeralda but still a key teammate who was critical to beating the game.

SKY-HI as the CEO, as the judge, as mentor etc is soooooooo wonderful! he never used harsh words toward the boys. Instead, he pointed out the good qualities the boys have and advised them how to make it better. I can’t described his kindness with words, he is an angel <3 he shower the boys with so much love <3

and I’m so happy when SKY-HI changed his mind about the group personil from 5 to 7 >////<  and my ichiban selected as the debut members <3 I’m not sure should I used the words ichiban or not, because I love all of the members <3 oh, and their group name is Be:First and their fans are called Besty

Like right now she was warning him about his employer. Shadow was just so confused about her and the situation with Mr. Wednesday. Laura wasn't the first person to warn Shadow about the old god and she probably wouldn't be the last.
