Hello. Been reading all of your comics and the art is very nice. You've probably gotten this a lot, but I get very confused at the doodles with Kana and Noriel. Are they siblings in all the AUs or are they a ship in some of them? Most of them show them very lovey dovey and feel more couple-like than siblings. Sorry if this has been asked a lot, I just wanna make sure.

Im glad youve been enjoying my comics! You're good, it's been a while since I've gotten a question like this and I had never clarified it on tumblr before so this is a good excuse to do so;

Noriel and Kana are found siblings and they always will be. I would never make them a ship in any alternate universe because that'd be extremely inappropriate even if they're not blood related. I've had people try to justify shipping them together before with "they're not real siblings" and I Don't Like It and if anyone does that they'll earn a hard block. I know people only on tumblr might not be aware of this because Noriel and Kana don't start as siblings in this comic, so this is your confirmation that any closeness presented between them in the comic is leading to That and to not ship please 🙏 Noriel and Kana's story is about falling in love, just not romantically! <3

As for the drawings I make, I like to draw them cuddling and giving each other little kisses! And I have never seen that as not sibling-like? As someone who's aro ace also the idea that physical affection always equals romance never made sense to me either. I could go on about both of those but its not super necessary. I would be lying if I said I don't specifically like deconstructing the idea that affection=romance in my stories a lot. Fade Away will tackle physical closeness in family dynamics and friendships(and romance!), but also how that trust can be used against you by people with bad intentions. Noriel's story is actually a lot about that; learning the difference between someone using "family closeness" just to use your body... vs how familial closeness should actually be like (boundaries!!)

rating regulus black ships!!

jegulus | 11/10 - i love them so much. when i rejoined the fandom in 2022 and saw how the ship had blown up in the years id been gone i was really confused, but then i read just lovers and was immediately convinced lmao. they are the epitome of sunshine x grumpy and i adore them both

bartylus | 5/10 - theyre not very compelling to me, but theyre not bad by any means. i think they work better as friends but i understand why people ship them. i just prefer other ships personally, but ive read many great fics with them too!

jegulily | 20/10 - im obsessed with them. i love regulus, james, and lily separately, but together they balance each other out. plus it helps that its a combination of my two most favorite monoamorous ships (jegulus and regulily), like whats not to like? theyre definitely a top tier ship

moonwater | 10/10 - they are so cute and so overhated! theres so much potential here, like they could be friends to lovers or enemies to lovers or rivals to lovers, basically any trope you can think of lol. and think of the angst! the drama! i love them dearly

regulily | 1000/10 - yall already know how i feel about these two! they are literal soulmates and i love them to bits. their personalities mesh so well and, this might be a controversial take, but they make more canonical sense than jegulus does imo (not that canon really matters in this fandom lmao). i could wax literal poetry about this ship i love them so much

rosewater | 6/10 - i have other ships i prefer for both of them but theyre still cute and i can see why people ship them. honestly its a similar situation to bartylus, except they intrigue me just the slightest bit more lol

regumary | 4/10 - im sorry i just cant see this ship. i can see their relationship being platonic but not romantic. i also think mary is a lesbian, which doesnt really mean much considering i also love the trans girl regulus headcanon, but most of the time when i see this ship its very cishet and just not my thing. sorry yall!

regdora | 2/10 - i just cant see this ship either. its not bad necessarily, i just see the relationship between regulus and pandora as that of a sibling relationship. no hate to people who ship them, its just not for me lol

regulene | 7/10 - they intrigue me tbh, like marlenes brashness and regulus’ coldness contrast in just the right ways. theyre like fire and water and i love that. plus the potential for a quidditch rivalry is phenomenal, especially considering that they could both be the seekers for their respective teams. theyre kinda similar to dorlene imo

regulilylene | 9/10 - im gonna be honest here i think i made this ship up, but i really like their dynamic. marlene and regulus are on the opposite extremes of hot and cold and lilys right there in the middle to keep them grounded, she evens them out

that's my wife's wife. my wife as in morven, or as in my friend dora? yeah. yeah, both XD truly i do associate willowfine with dora, which takes an already great character and makes her super special to me. i think its so fun to watch jane be the soft, good-hearted one. i love that she's a healer but is still powerful and is kind of intense. and shes so pretty and sweet, and i love that shes so kind and is still the defacto leader of the group. i think its so uncommon for the leader to be the softest of the group, and i LOVE that its the case here

hey totally forgot to answer this 😭 but im here now! and two questions are totally fine i like yapping :)

1. fuck Stefan. genuinely. i havent rewatched season 2 in a hot minute so i’ll be speaking pretty generally but i refuse to believe that he was “trying his best”. when they go to see him in Paris and he doesn’t respond to Nick’s texts, then makes last minute plans and bails because of work? yeah that pissed me off. my father is a doctor that specializes in high risk pregnancies. he regularly works 60 hour weeks, takes calls outside of work, and has to go in late at night or early in the morning. but he has never missed an orchestra concert, piano recital, or major life event of mine, and we regularly go out to dinner to spend time together. he did this for all three of my siblings, too. my dad has taught me that if people care they will make an effort, and the fact that Nick’s dad who lives in another country can’t bother to text him back or meet him for more than ten minutes? clearly shows that he doesnt care about Nick the way he should. i think he does on a surface level, but he also doesnt seem to understand that he has to put in more work than just the occasional text to be a good father. plus, in the little amount of time that they do spend together, he asks very awkward questions about rugby and school. it was more like uncomfortable small talk with an acquaintance than a father and son catching up for the first time in months. he’s flaky, doesn’t seem to have any actual interest in his kids, and takes very little responsibility for his actions- even after Nick calls him out on his shitty behavior, he doesn’t show up to Christmas or even have the decency to text and say he can’t make it. so no, i don’t like him, i don’t think he was trying his best, and i do think he’s a bad father. also sorry for the very long rant i have way more feelings about this than i realized.

YAY BROOKLYN 99! i love that show so much, but idk if i can say that i really have a favorite ship. while i do adore all the ships, and shipping in general, a lot of the appeal in that show for me was a) the humor, obviously, and b) the friendships. i think that show has such a great range of friendship types and dynamics and as an asexual person it really means a lot to me to see all of that represented with the same care and love as romantic relationships are often given. that being said, i do adore both Kevin/Holt and peraltiago. they’re both such fun relationships and Kevin/Holt particularly is amazing because they have a dynamic that isn’t often portrayed in media potrayed in a queer relationship. (i could go on and on about how well done the queer rep in this show is, but that’s not the point so i’ll shut up now😅).

(also it’s not something i necessarily ship but i often think about Rosa/Gina because of the episode when Rosa comes put as bi to her family/the squad and Gina says “y’know, in another world we would’ve made a hot-ass couple” and Rosa immediately goes “agreed”)

Darry curtis DEFINITELY had a lot on his plate.

I feel like Darry's personality with his brothers would be like any average sibling relationship you can think of. Darry being a tad embarrassed in front of his buddies when Pony asks him for help and when Soda starts crying because he scraped his knees running. Not to be to specific I guess, but I think he'd still be caring and loving towards them, but still have a sense of awkwardness when he's with other people and he has his little brothers tugging at his sleeves.

Darry and Steve wouldn't be so close either, considering Steve is only at the house for Soda (and Soda only). Darry sees him as his brother's friend, meaning he's another kid he has to keep an eye on when he comes home with Soda.

Darry and Two-Bit wouldn't be the closest of friends, but considering they're kind of close in age (about 2 years apart), he wouldn't be so far behind. They probably met at school or over at a park, Two-bit being the one to go and talk to Darry, leading Darry to invite him over for dinner in attempts of being polite.

Darry and Dally, at least in my opinion, wouldn't get along at the beginning. Considering Dal is a former New York kid, Darry would avoid interactions with him to avoid getting into trouble. I think once Dally started sticking to Two-Bit, he neared the Curtis house and got closer (NOT ROMANTICALLY!!) to Mrs. Curtis. Getting close to her and seeing her as a mother figure meant Darry was "forced" to like him.

Darry and Johnny wouldn't have talked much. In all honesty, they probably started talking more after Mr and Mrs Curtis died 😭😭🥲 Darry would see him hanging out with Pony and he'd give him an occasional head nod, but other than that, they'd pretty much keep to themselves.

Darry would LOVE his parents (to death 👀) 😭😭 and their death would affect him deeply. He'd be really close with his dad, most of it coming from the two of them practicing football during his middle school and high school years. He and his mom would be close as well, but her attention would be mainly focused on Soda and Pony once they were born, leaving him to spead more time with his dad. They'd still have those mother and son moments (mostly when he helped her in the kitchen when she was baking <3)

i have a lot of reinako headcanons also regarding their silver millennium counterparts bc my god. the fucking tragedy of the silver millennium and the reincarnation aspect rly makes for some Good Shit.

i dont think naoko revealed much abt the silmil counterpart personalities, but i love imagining silmil mars having the personality of 90s rei cranked up a few notches; brash, cocky, overbearing, and extremely hot-headed, while silmil venus is more like pgsm minako; calm, quiet, solemn, and too devoted to her job of protecting the princess to really care for anything else. like the silmil reinako dynamic would be so interesting… especially when romantic feelings get involved… a case of silmil mars dying in silmil venus’ arms while venus regrets not pursuing her love for mars would totally happen

hmm, skz in general is a vey close, tight-knit group of friends, they definitely have more of a familial bond and are very comfortable around each other. i think a ninth member reader would probably mix in the same way, so i want to say it would probably be a very much sibling-like relationship! which is why i stray away from any romantic ninth member content bc i dooo think it would most likely just be purely platonic. sure, romantic relations could play out, but in my mind, the kind of bond the have is so ... brotherly that i'd like to think a ninth member wouldn't change that and only add to that.

the way this dynamic would play out would depend on the reader themselves :') i wanna say regardless, they'd be quite loving and protective just how they are with each other, but you know, age, personality, and interests do affect how these relationships play out.

if you're on the younger end of the group, they'd def take care of you and dote on you like a younger sibling! kinda like how we see everyone tease jeongin, they'd probably do the same with the reader and be annoying older brothers, but still be as protective as necessary. iii think each member would have their own style of interacting with a younger ninth member? each have their own love language, so it will vary. for exampleee, i think changbin would be incredibly affectionate

if you’re older, then there’s probably some level or respect they will all have for you, but you might be someone they go to for advice more often than not!
