may i please ask how you keep your game running smoothly on mac? while my game is fine most of time, I experience lag there and there. and if its not too much, how much storage do you have and how big is your mods folder? -fellow mac user!

Keep reading for my computer specs + additional tips to help reduce lag:

My Specs

Processing Chip: I have a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro, with an Apple M1 processing chip. I think this is important because the Apple "M" processing chips are far better than the Intel chips. I had a MacBook with an Intel chip for years before finally upgrading my laptop... huge difference.

Memory: I currently have 8 GBs of memory.

Storage: In terms of storage, I have 232.87 GB available of 494.38 GB total. Of that, my Mods folder is 54.58 GB.

Sims 4: I own all of the EP's, GP's, SP's, and Kits. My in-game graphics settings are fairly high. Only because I refuse to compromise on my nice screenshots, lol.

I do not merge custom content. I used to - but now I prefer to separate items and delete items that I do not use. Random potted plant that came with some random set that I never use? Delete. Hairstyle that I skip every time? Delete. I have been careful about only keeping items that I actually love.

Recently, I have been experiencing minor lags, but that's only because I have been playing my current save for quite some time.

Tips to Help Reduce lag for Mac Users:

Merge custom content. I know I just said that I no longer do this, but I used to swear by this method. Apparently, the game does not care about the size of the files, only the number of files that it has to read. Having a small amount of really huge files is much better than making the game read hundreds of individual files.

Delete "localthumbcache.package" in your 'The Sims 4' folder. Don't worry, the game will generate a new one. If you have been playing the game for a while (without deleting this) - this file tends to bloat which causes the game to lag.

Use less clutter... especially if you are using custom content. I cannot stress this enough. The more items you have on the lot - the more the game will lag. Your computer is being forced to read all of this visual information - and it's in overload. There's a reason those EA lots are practically empty.

hi i want to use your service worker sims but i want them to be cc free. do you know if i edit them in cas if they will lose their jobs? i wouldn’t be going to into live mode with them.

Hi! 🤎 They should retain their NPC jobs if you edit them in CAS. As long as you do not go into live mode - everything should remain the same. This is a wonderful idea! Please feel free to reshare for others who may also be looking for the cc-free version as well :)

Hey girl can you make a Blindian Couple . It stands for a Indian and black couple . If so can the husband be indian and the girl be black , in he has a big supportive family they support his marriage to his wife and they’re very nice hardworking Indian family, the girl on the other hand she doesn’t get along with her family because they don’t support her marriage in they don’t believe she’s capable of handling life on her own (she’s fresh out of highschool). she’s like the black sheep of her family because she married in didn’t follow their rules . In she gets along with her in laws the Puris family.. his mom passed away so it’s just his dad and 8 siblings 2 sisters 4 brothers and and 4 nephews. The husband is the oldest in the family .. I don’t know lol you can also create your own story line for them .

Hi, I would have loved to play in your new save file but I'm having some issues with it :( When I Ioaded into it, the wallpapers were question marks with background colors, so I went to the creator's patreon (sooky88), downloaded and replaced them and then it worked. But I've noticed something else and I dont know if it's intended or not : there was only two matresses in the house for a family of 3 and nothing else in the bedrooms. Is something isn't working again for me, or is this normal ?

I apologize about this! If you are playing on a Windows PC and have the new DirectX update - the wallpapers may have a glitch. Thank you for letting me know about this as I am on a Mac. Also, yes, the houses are "move-in-ready". I will be furnishing each individually on my Youtube channel. I plan to use custom content - so, I didn't want to overload anyone's computer, lol. Atp I’ve been obsessed with your blog for years 😩 you inspire my gameplay so much. Do you have any tips for making the law career active?

Aww, thank you so much! 🤎 There are some active lawyer careers that you can download - however, I prefer to create a "law office" (preferably in a San Myshuno high-rise penthouse - and functions as a cafe or library), then use the "Get Together" club system to create a "club" of lawyers... and set their "clubhouse" as the office so that they can all show up there. THEN - Discover University's lawyer career has "work from home" options - so I always have my lawyer sims perform those work tasks in the office... if that makes sense?

I think this is a good mod-free way to play with 'The Lawyers' in game.
