Welcome to Newcrest!

I’ve finally finished transforming Newcrest, and it’s packed with everything your sims need to live their best lives! From cozy homes to vibrant nightlife, this world has it all:

Ridgeline Drive: A charming neighborhood filled with rowhouses and lovely homes, each with its own garden. Perfect for families or sims who love the outdoors.

Bridgeview: The bustling heart of Newcrest, designed as an extension of San Myshuno. It’s full of trendy bars and restaurants, making it the go-to spot for nightlife and dining.

Llama Lagoon: The most scenic area in Newcrest, offering breathtaking lake views with a city skyline backdrop. With subway access to San Myshuno, it’s ideal for sims who want a balance of peace and urban energy.

I’ve been working on creating Newcrest like this for a very long time, but because of my studies, it never really felt done in my mind. Now, I’ve decided to take advantage of that—it’s not perfect, and I don’t want to delay it any longer.

So, join me in building Newcrest! Add your own lots, furnish already-built apartments, and help make it ours!

New Year, New Save File ✨

Simkhira’s Small Town Save File is inspired by my little hometown in Southeast, USA. For this save, I wanted to create a world that caters to all of my favorite gameplay styles (country core, university core, legacy core, etc.) in a nostalgic way that made sense to me. Over the past couple of months, I have been able to transform Willow Creek into something that I am really proud of. I hope you all enjoy the lots, the backstories, and the small town political lore just as much as I do.

What’s Included in Version 1:

Willow Creek

21 Lots (5 Community Lots / 16 Move-In Ready Residential Lots)

17 Households (50 Sims / 64 including animals)

All of the Sims have relevant careers, skills, lifestyles, public reputations, likes and dislikes, gender preferences, romance preferences, turn ons and turn offs, relationship dynamics, defined walkstyles, and defined voices.

Disclaimer: I own all of the EP's, GP's, SP's, and Kits.

Custom Content (Included):

This save file contains 1GB worth of custom content. I have included these files in the download to save any hassle. If the game opens and says you are missing content, no you are not. I have play-tested this save file using only the files included and did not find any issues.

The calendar mod allows the game to have 12 weeks in a “year”. So, each week is a “month” (i.e. Week 1 = January, Week 2 = February, etc.). The calendar holidays have been created according to this method. Recommended Mods (Not Included):

How to Install Save Files:

Make a backup of your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.

Download the file, unzip, and place the file in your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.

If you already have a file with the same name, change the slot number to a number that you don’t have. (i.e. change Slot_00000000d.save to Slot_00000009d.save)

Once you open your game, you will see “Simkhira’s Small Town Save V1”. Open it!

Once opened, “Save As” to create a copy of the save file for your own gameplay.

If the game says that you are missing custom content, no you aren’t. I have double-checked.

Lastly, enjoy and have fun!

The Neighborhood is a CC-free save file that explores the concept of home. V1 celebrates the vibrant communities of the U.S. Gulf Coast. ❤️

The wonderful Ly family in Willow Creek was lovingly created for the save by @cowplant-snacks. All other neighbors were made by me, you can meet all of them here! Pets are from Pugowned, misc. townies from @cowplant-snacks and @simsontherope on the gallery.

There's lots of little details and things to explore, both around the world and relationship wise, so I'm excited to see what y'all uncover. Please feel free to @theneighborhoodsave in your posts or tag #theneighborhoodsave. I'd love to see what your sims are up to!

The save is 100% CC free! Please note that I do have all expansions, packs, and kits (except for Castle Estate, Goth Galore + Crystal Creations.) For any items you don't own the game will try to auto find replacements for those items. The file is mostly blank this time around but does include the original EA builds in university and vacation type worlds (sans Granite Falls.)

Included is a folder of completely optional skin details/eyelashes for the neighbor sims. Thank you to @faaeish, @pyxiidis, @tamo-sim, and @landgraabbed! There are 4 pieces of CC I cannot include in the folder due to creator TOU. Please check the included "Read Me" file for more information.

All builds and families are up on the gallery (@sweetbeagaming) + tray files have been shared here.

If you've never used a save file and need help installing it, I highly recommend this tutorial by @leeleebsimming.

⚠️ A couple of disclaimers here due to some existing EA bugs. EDIT 4/25: Included in that link are directions on how to avoid TOOL'd items from disappearing. If you want to keep powerlines and such please check this out! ⚠️

Everything was tested to work around these, but I wanted to put them out there as an FYI.

TOU: Please don't reupload my save/builds/sims, claim as your own, and absolutely do not paywall them. Other than that feel free to build your own Neighborhood stories however you'd like!

i read of the blowtorch mod and i knew i had to get it so here we are: starting from (almost) zero, placing every tree and every street lamp and every telephone wire by hand—but it's a delight!

kind of overwhelming at first, seeing the empty fields around every neighbourhood, but a few deco buildings and a random backdrop do the trick and the world comes to life before you even know it!

photo 1: i started building a high school (loooooosely inspired by forks high school & blackwell academy). i first wanted it in magnolia promenade but i decided i was going to make magnolia the college district of willow creek so i built it here (and called it magnolia high school instead). i have yet to build the auditorium, but the shell is done & the interior is...started

photos 2 & 3: built a little more in this neighbourhood; it's the closest to be finished for now but i'm growing tired (already) of the bff's house/business...it fits less and less in the world in my opinion (probably the roofing) so i might do some little renovationssss

photos 4, 5 & 6: worked a little more on the strip, i hate building gyms but i had to and this one i don't hate too much i think (i hate them in real life too so that's probably why). i still love this little supermarket so much, i feel like i've been there before 🌚

I can't believe it took me only 2-3 days, but at least it's finished! I'm very proud of my work on the small neighborhood, and I'm very excited to work on the rest of my save file! I kept my plan relatively the same, except I swapped the foster home with a communal park! I'll be moving the foster family into the middle class neighborhood. ^^

The Spooky Save - Version 1

The first version of The Spooky Save is here!

The inspiration for the save comes from my love of horror movies and Halloween. Throughout the save, each world is/will be inspired by some kind of trope you find in horror movies or other spooky media. All lots are then built to match that vibe and be the kinds of places characters visit in those movies (some lots are based on real movie sets!) and the Sims are the kinds of characters that we find in those corresponding movies.

For this first release, we have three spooky worlds:

Willow Creek as the Quintessential American Slasher (think the Scream or Halloween films) - Willow Creek is home to a close-knit community living in an idyllic, All-American town. Life here is perfect! Good schools! Lots to do! Town spirit! Only two (okay, possibly three) grisly murders/murder sprees in the town’s history (that we know of)! The mayor swears it’s safe here and that choosing to locate the mental institution so that it overlooks the cemetery was not the ominous decision it seems.

Copperdale as the Missing Teen Thriller (think Twin Peaks, Pretty Little Liars, Cruel Summer) - The night she was crowned Homecoming Queen, Addison Pine disappeared without a trace. Everyone had their own opinion about what happened to Addison, but one belief was constant: Addison was okay and would return home like nothing had happened. Now, one year later, the town is shocked to learn that Addison's body was discovered. Even more surprising - Addison had only been dead a few hours when she was found. Where had Addison been this past year? Why did she come back now? And who is her killer?

StrangerVille as the SciFi Government Conspiracy (think Stranger Things, X-Files) - StrangerVille attracts oddballs and outcasts who want to create their own sense of normalcy, as well as stubbornly traditional people who insist on covering any weirdness up with conventional norms. Yet all citizens have one thing in common: they don't want their perpetually shoddy, stuck-in-the-'80s town to undergo much change. However, after the mayor signed contracts with a research lab and the military, citizens have noticed some changes around town and worry what might be next.

Hi!! I've been playing sims since the sims 1 and this is my first simblr ever! I created this blog because me and my friend decided to make a save file for download. We think the sims 4 lacks many details compared to previous games and we didn't want to recreate characters that already exist, so we came up with our own, new lore. It's set in the 90s, with buildings and outfits inspired by this era. To make it as complex and interconnected as the original, I'll be posting here in-depth backstories for individual characters, their connections with others and full household bios. Other than that, I'm going to share cas/build updates for the save file, lookbooks, gameplay screenshots and sim downloads.

finally got around to changing the interior on one of the older community lots in the save. i was never really happy with the look of the interior and i didn't know how to fix it either, but i feel like recently i've developed the interior style of the save more and it's more cohesive. this renovation is a billion times better than the previous version.

i took all the screenshots from my upcoming save file <3

you place the .ini file in "Program Files/Ea Games/The Sims 4/Game/Bin" and then you just plop it in there

been building in willow creek, first house is the goths' house, i've decided to make them less wealthy, as if they'd lost some of their fortune. still want to add some ornaments to the house to make it a little nicer, but the shell is done!

then i built some rentals, inspired by british residential neighbourhoods. i wanted some starter homes for potential sims of mine & just more room to stack townies

& last but not least, the bff's apartment & gardening store/restaurant/bar! liberty tends the crops (i know it's not lore accurate i don't care!) and summer cooks with the vegetables from the garden. travis doesn't work there & i don't know who is going to be the bartender yet! i'm hesitating between a premade or a new sim... we'll see! the concept was kind of inspired by 'anavrin' from the show 'you', i wanted a kind of hipster place & also a functional small business where my sims can go hang out!
