So. Saw the thing about rosylipsy being an anagram for pyrolysis. pyrolysis separates organic materials into gases, pure carbon/ashes, and bio-oil, and happens when hydrocarbons are heated in the absence of oxygen. In commercial applications, they are usually heated to around 500° C.

According to Britannica, it’s often used to separate plastic and rubber waste into useful components, as well as to purify substances by removing organic compounds (hydrocarbons).

Symbolically, we could see this as a trial by fire type thing, a purification, a burning away of all that must be left behind in order to move on and become something more. To emerge, after all, one must shed the cocoon.

okay. so obviously Caramel hit us all like a sucker punch. I’m really glad that the vast majority of the fan base has, at least at a core level, acknowledged that the toxicity and issues Vessel sang about need to be addressed and consequently stopped in what ways we can. HOWEVER,,,

Imma need the rest of y’all to step out of doomsday mode.

Listen, a lot of Sleep Token’s songs have been for lack of a better term- vent art. It’s more than obvious Vessel and the others put their rawest emotions into their art. Caramel is no different. OF COURSE he’d make a song about this. Why wouldn’t he? In this era specifically- the Internet, if used properly, can become a weapon, so naturally fame comes at a heavier cost. The more large a fanbase becomes, sadly the more likelihood of bad apples there will be. THIS ISN’T ME DISMISSING THE ISSUES. Far from it! Rather I’m saying in a situation where they are venting their frustrations and anguish, responding with utter panic isn’t the best route to take either.

I’ve seen people begun to re-contextualize the ENTIRETY of ST’s discography over Caramel. That the entire time every song and album was just about fame and that “Sleep” represents the audience. Respectfully- y’all are TWEAKED OUT if you truly believe that. Or the two houses being the secret vote for whether or not the band will stop making music??? Like come tf on. And no, I do not think this is the end of the band either.

Let’s put on our logical brains for a sec here, there’s very clearly so much more in store. Teeth of God isn’t even a year old yet, guys. The weatherman is still posting about the band, and they have left clues in MORSE CODE COORDINATES for the songs. You think they’d do ALL OF THAT just to turn around and say “fuck it we out”??? They’re still putting out merch, the tour isn’t on yet and the actual album isn’t either. WAY too early to be ringing the doomsday bell. Speaking of the album, Caramel is the FIFTH track. Not the end. If it was the ending track, I’d understand a lot more- but it’s not. This isn’t the end. If it was, I guarantee things would look a lot more bleak on their end.

They are still very much putting their vesselussies into their work, and Caramel itself shows that. He’s grateful, and he’s glad we’re here- but sometimes it can be too much. Being an artist ain’t easy, especially one of their size. They have every right to turn that stress into song, like they’ve done so many times before. Vessel said himself that their art is a “conduit for anguish” after all. It’s a bit different now that it���s aimed closer to us, and we should acknowledge it, but freaking out helps no one.

This has happened before and it will happen again. People reacted the same way when “Show & Tell” was made, thinking Melanie would give up on music forever. Same more recently with “Noid”. Fame is scary and if they wanna vent then let them!

Always strive to be better. If not for them, for yourself. But hate has never been beaten with fear. Hate is beaten with love. Show them you care and jam tf out. That, at least from what I can see, is what Vessel is trying to say. Let’s give them the peace of mind they deserve.

I love sleep token. They've had this planned for who knows how long. Houses, emails, pre-saves, more emails, he stirs, PREPARE, Morse codes, lunar eclipse, vessel's active on ig in unison, coordinates, an observatory, QR codes.

I saw a post on Reddit about hidden morse code in the visualisers for EiA 😱

(please be careful if you search this post out, it's in a sub reddit that openly talks about ST identities)

The post reads:

When the Nourwei article got posted, and mentioned this about the visualizer glitches:

"A hidden detail appears briefly in each single: the glitch. An instant revealing the ongoing battle between the factions. While most symbols were decoded by the Sleep Token community, the glitch remains a subtle visual code for those who look closer."

I immediately knew I had to go take a closer look at the glitces at the end of each Visualizer again as a "subtle visual code" stuck out to me, and I always felt like we were missing something with them. Ive attached a compilation of each in order

Each Visualizer has 6 "glitches" and their duration varies. So I interpreted the length of each glitch flash as a long (dash) or short (dot) in Morse Code. 1 am 100% on everything except EiA.

some thoughts on the morse code for pan and echo files

hi ok i know this puzzle came out a few days ago so i’m a wee bit late and we largely know what it’s about but! it’s still a bit mysterious so yap session lets go

today, the Recognized Discord Server posted an update summary for the past few days w this included and also stated that more news would be revealed at 5 am pst on 3/31

so, here’s some (translated) thoughts on what this could Mean.

I’ve been waiting long for you

an inverse to the mildly infamous “have you been waiting long for me?” phrase we’ve been seeing for marketing. whoever is saying this has been there for sleep knows how long. speaking of sleep, i wonder who could be saying this? maybe it’s ferry. also, why have they been waiting?

once again, callback to the phrase we’ve been seeing/namesake of the album. i think this coupled with the “i’ve been waiting long for you” is a much more interesting point. perhaps phrased in a way like “i have been waiting long for you in this unobtainable paradise that is arcadia.” sleep? vessel? past vessel? ferry? knight guy? sir token the first i yearn for more info.

SOS SOS SOS

THIS is probably the most interesting part. SOS nowadays is commonly associated more with “save our ship” due to the association with sinking boats n whatnot, but it initially also meant “save our souls,” which makes more sense here. (the morse code came before the phrase though, the latter was used as a mnemonic way to remember it.)

now, sos as meaning “save our souls.” why are they in distress? who is crying for help? have they been waiting long because they’re in distress and need their souls to be saved? (something something canines of the saviour, something something knight guy from emergence mv?) just some food for thought.

i suppose you can also draw the connection between ships and well, vessels. boats are sea-faring vessels, and, well, we have a certain vessel center stage who also happened to write an album about sinking to the depths. so, maybe “save our vessel” would be more fitting. whether this means vessel the Resident Cryptid or vessel as in ourselves (as vessels to sleep [?]) is up to interpretation methinks

also the order of having the broadcast interference then the transmission ending after the sos?? hmmmmmm
