Niche? Niche??? I think you may be under exaggerating lad Mario's Lamp????... I love it, everytime I think I've got my siiliest ask ever It gets outdone the lamp from Mario RPG?? this is my favourite Ask I've ever got now.

now you may see that SMB1 has 2 variations I uh couldn't decide whether or not to have the grass be grass coloured so I made 2 I also did a SMW one because I felt like if I JUST did one Lamp it'd be disappointing

Mainly for @the-marios to see! A while back, I decided to retool the Mario Bros. original sprites in a style that felt more inline with how I'd draw them. Unfortunately I can't change much in the small sprites because they're 16x16 pixels usually.

Super Mario Bros 1 enemy sprite redraws. (top is original, bottom is mine)

Goomba. Very happy with how this turned out. Credit to my partner for coming up with the idea of making the pupils look like that. It was a really good final addition, and I ended up putting those pupils in more sprites.

Buzzy Beetle. I think I made it much cuter.

Bullet Bill. I basically just made it look more like the modern bullet bill. I think I did a good job.

Blooper. I think I made it look really cute.

Troopa. Sort of an in-between from the modern troopa and the old troopa. Added those fun pupils my partner came up with for the goomba.

Piranha Plant. Tbh I don't get what's going on with the original. When the mouth is closed why is there no teeth and why the the base of the head/mouth gone?

Lakitu and Spiny.

Cheep Cheep. Tbh I don't think mine is a huge improvement but it's decent.

Hammer Bro. I really like how this one turned out.

Podaboo. Technically an enemy. That lava bubble is sentient.

BOWSER. Honestly really happy with this one. My aim was to make it look more like modern Bowser and I think I managed.
