it’d been one of those questions he asked in half-jest       ultimately seeking out a legitimate reply. yu’s always had an active mind, over-analytical to the point of exhaustion... he knows that it makes logical sense to keep what they have out of sight, to shield it away from small-town gossips, but... he has to wonder if there’s something more to it than that. 

the setting does little to expel his worries. he most certainly wants to leave but if this is where he has to be for yosuke to feel comfortable initiating something they haven’t even done before --

he sighs softly. yosuke’s words ( & lips ) are mildly placating, at least, because he has the heart to trust his response.

it’s just that the dank, musty, filthy surroundings remind him that this is something people revile. he manages a half-smile, teasing, & tips up yosuke’s face.

flashing lights,  this is what she wants.  the roar of applause,  it’s what she feels in her veins.  or so she believes,  tries to convince herself of since weeks.  her smile isn’t nearly as bright it used to be,  doesn’t reach her eyes anymore.  it’s true -- she hates this,  hates this so much that she tells herself she’d be better without it.  everyone around her is oblivious to her real feelings,  to the loneliness that’s been consuming her awhole.  the latest incident surely does not make anything better ; a threat has reached her management a few days ago,  something about a plan of two men and an attack on the idol.  security has tightened ever since,  her manager denying any ideas of canceling the concert,  however.  a healthy distraction from the storminess in her life comes in form of a boy around her age.  he looks much younger than the rest,  has rise approach him with a grin and a tap on the shoulder.

  ‘  hey,  you.  want to sneak away and have some fun before the concert starts ?  ’

another exciting and successful day full of schedules has come to an end.  as much as she loves her job,  happiness always dominates when she gets to go home and shed the mask of risette,  able to be herself around the one she loves.  except risette is following her home this time,  in form of a bag full of fan letters she can’t just ignore.  ‘  i’m back! ’   she exclaims once she’s inside,  shoes abandoned at the entrance.  ‘  do you want to read my fan letters with me?  ’   a kiss is pressed to his cheek as a hello when she spots him on the couch,  dropping down beside him with the bag in her lap.       (  @snarksuke  )
