AHAHAHA PAIN! THAT'S HOW IT MAKES ME FEEL. But okay I put some thought into it for these drawings so if you're interested in how I think it would go down, I put it all in the screenshot below (alt text available)!!

So yeah!! I like this AU a lot!! There are some aspects I like better than what we ended up with-- William going insane for a life long friend rather than someone he met a day ago (even though I love that we made such an impression on him ;)), it could add a lot to Damien & Will's dynamic. I also like the seance idea I came up with! It'd be nice to give us some agency! And to try and save Damien too 👀 Also I think this version of Dark I came up with is so cool (👉🏻👈🏻) even though the effect would be like,, impossible irl

But there's way more that I think works better about the canon ending-- Celine's reckless pursuit of knowledge getting Damien killed is super fitting, especially since he seems to be the only loved one she has left, it helps explain how angry she is with Actor and the House (maybe that's why Dark is so unstable? I'm getting off track lol--) she's a righteous protector of someone who's already dead yk, whose death she caused. Also! In the canon version, we get to die! pretty fkn sick imo lol

The way I see it, you’ll both wait until you’re super sleepy before heading to bed

Then, wherever you are, he’ll insist on scooping you up to carry you

You didn’t go to parties very often. Neither did your boyfriend, Spencer. But, being Ian’s sister meant getting dragged to the occasional LA Youtuber Party.

And that’s exactly where the night found you. You had forgotten who’s house you were at, not sure Ian had actually told you, two drinks into the evening and still aware enough to get by–for the most part, Spencer had already stated that he wasn’t planning on drinking, that way he could still drive the both of you back to his apartment. You knew some of the people present, a few other Smosh members had come, and you were fairly certain you had seen Markiplier at some point but it was too fuzzy to be sure. You and Spencer hadn’t planned on staying long, Friday night parties tended to get hectic and wild and it wasn’t really either of your scenes. But, you loved hanging out with your friends, so what harm could a few hours do?

A lot apparently.

The night had started out fun. You had quickly found the other members of your Smosh group–Shayne and Courtney, Ian, Anthony, Angela, Amanda, and Olivia. Then, of course, you and Spencer completed the group. There had been a karaoke machine set up and you and Amanda had swooped in and had the time of your lives singing Mama Mia. Now that it had gotten deeper into the night, you chose to stick back a bit more. Who knew who would record and circulate your awful renditions of Abba songs.

You and Spencer had actually been gearing up to go for a while, you just didn’t know where he was. He had said something about saying goodbye to Shayne and Courtney, while you finished your drink with Angela out on the back patio.

“You know what, I’m just gonna go find him, he’s probably talking to Shayne about something,” you said to Angela. “I’ll see you Monday morning?”

She looked over at you, quickly swallowing the sip of her drink. “Want me to come with?”

You smiled and shook your head. “Nah, I’ve got it! Finish your drink and have some fun! Text me when you get home though, that way I don’t worry.”

“Gotcha. I’ll see you later!” Angela gave you a quick hug before heading off to locate Amanda.

Making your way back inside, you took note of how much more crowded it had gotten in your time outdoors. The kitchen was fuller and you knew that you no longer recognized most of the faces. The now crowded space made your head spin as you pushed your way through the bodies into a less crowded room.

You made your way into a dining area and caught sight of your brother talking to Anthony and someone else you didn’t recognize.

“Ian, have you seen Spencer?” you asked, coming up to the group.

Both of the men turned to you.

“I think he’s in the living room?” Ian stated. “Last I saw he was talking to Shayne and Court.”

“Can you not find him?” Anthony asked.

You shook your head. “No, I just hadn’t made it that far and thought I’d save myself the trouble."

"You staying at Spencer's tonight?" Ian asked.

"Yeah," you said.

Your older brother nodded, "'Kay, text me when you get there so I know you aren't dead."

You laughed, having basically just told Angela the same thing. "Will do."

You said bye to Ian and Anthony, nodded to their other conversation partner and left the dining room in search of your boyfriend.

The living room was packed and the speaker was loud, some Chart Topping song blasting way too loud for comfort. Definitely time to go.

Your first quick scan of the living room yielded no familiar faces, so you made your way deeper into the room.

Only to catch sight of your boyfriend and some woman you had never seen before. Spencer's back was to you, but the look on the girls face made your stomach roll. You stopped.

And rage reared it's ugly head as you watched her put her hand on his chest and lean forward.

Spencer, to his credit, pushed her hand away and stepped back, stance becoming closed off. If he said anything, you couldn't hear it over the music.

However, you still felt something grean and mean rear its head. You stomped over to them, taking a spot by Spencer, your eyes never leaving the other woman. Your glare went completely unnoticed by her, she was too drunk to see it.

"Can we help you?" She slurred.

Your eyebrows shot up, surprised and angered by her attitude. “Excuse me? You're the one who's putting their hands on my boyfriend. I think I should be the one asking that. Who even are you?"

You squinted at her in the weird party lighting, trying to place who she was. Nothing in your memory came up, maybe she came with someone? Or snuck in? It didn’t matter, she wasn’t worth it anyways.

The woman scowled, opening her mouth but you held up a hand. "Stop. Don't embarass yourself any further. Just..." you made a shoo motion with your hands and turned your entire back to her.

The woman stared at you, slack-jawed, before scowling and storming off.

You let out a deep breath and your rage simmered into annoyance and something you couldn't quite name.

A warm pair of hands tugged at your own, pulling you out of your thoughts and down a hallway, stopping inside of the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind you.

"You okay, pretty girl?" Spencer asked softly, his eyes unreadable in the small bathroom.

You focused on him, nodding. "Yeah, I'm good. Just kinda pissed off...and, I dunno. I just didn't like seeing her touch you."

"I'm sorry, babe. I told her, like, three times that I had a girlfriend--"

You shook your head to stop him. "No, Spence, I saw you push her away, you don't have to apologize. I trust you. I just got..." You sighed again, looking down.

Spencer took a step closer. "You just got jealous?"

You nodded as you suddenly became aware of how close the pair of you stood, he was close enough for you to feel his breath. You stared at your hands, mild embarassment flooding you as you picked at your nails.

"Pretty girl," Spencer's voice was soft. "You gonna look at me?" His hands had settled lightly on your hips, the familiar smell of him clouding your senses.

You look up, meeting his eyes. What you saw surprised you. You could barely see the color with how blown out his pupils were.

“It was hot watching you tell her off,” he explained, crowding closer to you. “Like, really hot.”

“Really?”

He nodded.

The party on the other side of the door faded into a background hum as he kissed you. Where you were used to lazy makeout sessions and warmth, you were unprepared for the heat.

You weren’t even aware that you had moved until you felt him pushing you up against the bathroom door, warm hands rubbing circles on your hips as you threaded your hands into his hair. Teeth tugged at your bottom lip and you let yourself get caught up in him.

Eventually he pulled away and you frowned. Spencer pressed his forehead to your shoulder, pulling himself together as the pair of you caught your breath.

“Come on, pretty girl,” he said. “I’ll take care of you at home.”

Behold, my Touhou Project Inscryption Au that I started working on before all the stuff with Touhou 20 went down. Mainly finished this so I could get it out of my head lol.

No one asked for this. No one needed this, but I have free will and this is how I choose to use it lmao.

Artist's Notes;

Full disclaimer I have never played Inscryption before, I have only seen gameplay videos going through the entire game and have watched lore recaps, analyses, and videos on it. I do still love this game though and want to play it someday.

I remember it was during one of my many rewatches of Markiplier's Inscription playthrough (The Flying Uryaruli never gets old, plus they're kinda comfort videos lmao) that I thought of the dumb idea of "what if Chimata was in it?" and thus this idea was born. My initial concept of this was "the devil added microtransactions to his game" (bonus points if you understand that reference), which then evolved into "what if Megumu, Tsukasa, and Momoyo were the other scribes" which then evolved into me thinking way to fucking hard about this idea and deciding to swap out those three for other characters to be the scrybes. I'm sure you can tell who I chose for the new scrybes based on the cards (it's Zanmu and Keiki), though I did leave a hint as to who would be replacing which scrybe in this AU (hint, look at their health and attack line's, Keiki's attack is 1 btw it just got covered up by Zanmu's card). That part will probably become clearer as I develop the concept more (which will probably come in a long while) but in the meantime I'll explain the abilities more.

So I decided to adapt the cost into coins because in my mind, Chimata would focus really really hard on the collectathon trading card aspect. In fact, I imagine that in the beginning of this AU she's say something like, "and if you collect all of the cards, you'll be able to find a special little promo code in them. For what exactly? Well where's the fun in me telling you that now!" As I wrote in the image above (for those who can't read the font it says, "Balancing isn't exactly my forte, so some of the cards I gave you in your base deck have a 50/50 shot of being trash or stupidly overpowered!") Chimata probably doesn't care for the balancing and mainly wants to oversee the exchange in ownership with trading cards. I know characters like Nemuno or Ubame fit Leshy's vibes more but Chimata was kinda the progenitor of this idea and I think it would make more sense for her to care about cards so much so yeah lol (also there is a specific part in Act 1 of the game where I think Chimata's theming with the moon in Stage 6 of UM would work really well).

Also, in this AU, Sumireko would be the protagonist who runs a lost media Youtube channel where she discovers the cartridge with Inscryption in a similar way that Luke did in the OG game.

As for the effects on the cards, I'll go over them briefly:

Zanmu's sigil would negate the effects of the opposing creature's sigil, I was initially gonna give her the "if an opposing card attacks this one, it doesn't" sigil but decided that would be too OP and went for this idea instead.

Keiki's sigil basically functions like the warren sigil in the original game, where upon placing her down on the board she gives the player a free Haniwa card (which would be 1 attack 2 health and no cost). For obvious reasons I think this fits Keiki pretty well.

So the main purpose of this AU isn't to be 1 to 1 with the game's characters personality-wise (for reasons that will become apparent if you know who Keiki is substituting for) but in terms of theming I did try to think about who would fit best (other than Chimata but again, she's kinda got special treatment since I just though the idea of her constantly pulling out microtransactions to get herself more faith or trying desperately to convince Sumireko to get another person to play the game so she has someone to trade with would be funny). Visually this will also look different from Inscryption because...ain't no way I'm replicating that and also I want to use this as an oppurtunity to let myself do harsh lighting because I love doing harsh lighting in my drawings :D

Again, this is going to be an ongoing project of mine that is mainly gonna be shitposts like this. As you can see with the drawing I did not care about rendering the metal scale much and focused more on getting the shading on Chimata right. I also changed some things about her design and added some stuff, mainly changing how her dress pattern works, added some shoulder ornamentation to her cape, and gave her some nice big golden sphere earrings because I know she'd wear something like that.

Not the most proud of this piece (I finished this at around 10:30 at night so I was kinda eepy finishing this up) but for a shitpost, this is really all it need to be tbh.

i dont know if i will. i love looking at popular things, especially if they're related to horror, because i'm really curious about what it is that makes things accessible on a wider scale. after playing 4 garten of banbans i can say its not any deeper than bright and simplistic monsters appearing in youtube content kids & teens watch. if you look at feenaf, or baldi, there's more there than just their aesthetic, both in terms of gameplay/design and the reasons they exist in the first place.

i try hard to give games i stream the benefit of the doubt and not bad mouth them too much. i dont care about bad mouthing things, i think a lot of things suck and will voice that whenever i want, but doing it for hours in front of 1000+ people can easily snowball into a really putrid energy. so its partially because of that. but also because i know making anything is hard. so on stream i probably appear very charitable when playing these kinds of games but ill always give my honest opinion at the end.

and with garten of banban it was that with each iteration it becomes more and more clear that each game exists only to lead into the existence of another. in a way that, with each iteration, becomes more and more disengaging because of how obvious it is. im not gonna shit on people getting that bag, ride the wave if it comes you gotta pay the bills (also who tf is buying these games?? it aint kids, my laptop could barely run the game and they're just gonna watch markiplier play it), but after the 4th game ending exactly where i thought it would and greeting me with a screen telling me to buy not the 5th but the 6th garten of banban was just whatever straw i needed to just not even be curious anymore.

like in a way the games broke my curiosity, and ive always prided myself on going from being very cynical and negative towards anything popular in my early 20s to having some kind of curious optimism as i've gotten older. so for it to break that is honestly super sad but also a wild feat. the progression of the garten of banban games has made me more cynical about art as consumer product than any amount of call of duty games i think because of the audience, the scale & the rapidity of it all

I've been really getting into SOTM since it's come out, and I have to say, it's better produced than SW's other fnaf games. I'm not saying it's 100% perfect, I'm not gonna gas it up to be game of the year, but it feels cohesive compared to their previous games. It's the fact that when it was originally announced up until its release, I wasn't 100% on board; I didn't know what to expect. I've come out of it surprised by how potent some of the narrative beats are.

I've heard some people say that the story wasn't cohesive or that it didn't make sense, which i get, it took watching a few other playthroughs to catch things I missed during the first watch. And I know the mimic's origins are in the TFTP books, which usually doesn't help either, but the game does a good job at establishing the mimic's creation enough to latch onto. Plus, the Murray family feels real to me, Edwin's neglect, Fiona's caring natural. If they weren't in the game, i think it would've been a dull experience. There were slow moments when I was watching Fusion's playthrough, and I thought, "Gimme more Murray family lore." And when it did show up, I was engaged. Learning and finding out more felt rewarding (I don't have the game myself :( ... but watching other people play has helped).

I know I missed things, I probably still am, but I've grasped enough of it to understand a good majority of the story. The endings were nice, I can actually tell which one is definitely the canon one. The secret one was so sweet and heartbreaking. I loved Arnold, even if we don't hear him speak that often. Dispatch is a prick in the best way. The VAs did amazing.

My only complaint is that the minigames (the crane one) were kinda boring. I did almost fall asleep during that part. I don't have many grievances with SOTM, it surprised me.

I know people keep comparing it to Poppy Playtime, and all that other stuff, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it taking inspiration from it. They literally took inspiration from Alien Isolation and Outlast from what I've heard, and that shouldn't be seen as an insult to compare any of these games with one another.

And as someone who's been with fnaf since the beginning, I get why people are a bit discontent about this game's presence. I miss the old games, but I don't see anything wrong with mixing something up in this new Era. I loved Security Breach, even with its flaws. It's a beautiful mess with... a not very cohesive story, but it's fun. Saw someone try to compare SB with SOTM to criticize the latter when they are two distinct narratives with varying visuals. Of course SOTM doesn't have life to it, it's an abandoned, defunct factory with ROTTING bodies. It's a horror game. There's nothing wrong with SB switching up the environment either, it's still a horror game... even if it was catered to be child-friendly which there's nothing wrong with that either...

I wish it was easy for people to admit and accept that SOTM isn't going to feel like FNAF, instead of chalking it up to being a bad game or spitefully comparing it to other games for the sake of criticizing when it's easier to just say "This isn't for me anymore." And also not blame any party responsible for making it that way (Steel Wool). Markiplier admitted it in his recent playthrough, it felt nice hearing that from him. To have that self awareness and acknowledge that it's not the same, but it's okay that he doesn't like it and it's no one else's fault!!!! GRGHRGH

I love FNAF, and it's complicated lore, and it's sometimes buggy games. Unless some other game comes along that completely alters my opinions on it, I'm willing to see where this franchise goes, honestly.

Modern team 7 and their cooking youtube channel.

It didn't start off with cooking, originally it was just Naruto and occasionally Sakura with him just fucking around and doing random shit. But one day for funnies they convince Sasuke to do a Markiplier makes style video with them making something with no recipe. He is convinced because Naruto and Sakura are such horrific chefs that this can only end in disaster. Naruto is your typical "Forgets the water for the instant ramen and burns it" but Sakura? Oh man. Sakura is a genuine danger to society. Everything green she touches dies, she sets things on fire and breaks things despite how hard she tries. So after hearing that Sakura was going to be inside a kitchen Sasuke had to be there otherwise his two best friends would die.

The video ends with Sasukes being pretty good, a huge downstep from his normally exquisite food but he was trying so so hard to protect the kitchen from the monsters. Narutos is... well you could probably eat it and not die. Unlike Sakuras, which is an eldritch entity that spells the doom of humanity.

The video goes viral and ends up making the channel monetised and obviously this means they HAVE to make another video!!! This time Sakura makes Sasuke wear duct tape on his mouth to make him shut up and stop telling her off, Sasuke never gets any cooking done and ends up losing cause he spent the whole time making sure what Naruto and Sakura both made (there was an accident and their meals combined together but they just went with it.) was somewhat edible. It wasn't. But good try Sasuke!

Time goes on and they just kept making the videos because 1 it was really fun 2 money!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 people kept making jokes about how Sasuke was actually probably not even that good of a chef but he just looks like he is bc Naruto and Sakura are so bad, and that pissed Sasuke off so much that he vowed to teach Naruto and Sakura how to not burn down kitchens so he could actually make something good.

Sasukes also not nearly as active on social media but after all the jokes he makes an insta or Tumblr (bc Tumblr is the only social media I use...) to show off the food he makes. Eventually just to prove it further he makes short videos (shorts of tiktoks or whatever) of him making things, using his own special recipies yk. And then on the main channel you see Naruto and Sakura brutally ruin his precious recipes.

Sakura has a blog dedicated to disproving medical lies and raising awareness for lesser known illnesses. Everyone who comes across it goes through a wave of shock bc... no way that's the same girl who put a sandwich in a toaster then accidentally set it on fire... AND she's studying to be a surgeon?? AND she's top of her class?? Just because she has steady hands does NOT mean she can make pasta.

Naruto has a blog that gives like I-am-a-fish mixed with Pukicho vibes. Idk I couldn't think of anything for him. He makes 17 posts a day and he doesn't remember what any of them are. He comes across his post that someone reposted and he thought "Man this guy is so stupid haha" and never realised that it was him.

After like 5, 7 years give or take Naruto and Sakura Eventually do get better at cooking. Naruto is a decent chef and Sakura makes edible things. Everyone but Sasuke and Naruto hate her cooking, but because they're so used to the charred or often poisonous food this feels like a godsend.

Uh anyway they post like 5 times a year nowadays bc they. Have jobs. Sakuras a surgeon, Naruto is a teacher for a special needs school and Sasuke is uhmm. He's either a Vet a firefighter or a Doctor. I couldn't pick. They still do cooking vids but it's diverted from that a little bit. Mainly because Sakuras patients kept getting nervous when the girl who famously spent 14 minutes trying to remember the word 'dough' was the person rummaging around their organs.

Hi here’s a loooooooooonggg rant from the one that can’t go on without inserting Wilford into every egos life in any way possible…

For context: I see engineer mark as a separate person from actor mark, but he’s also like actors self insert, or how he interprets himself if he were an awesome engineer in the year 2080- something. This doesn’t mean that they’re the same person, at least not anymore, they just have a lot of the Same personality traits and the same name.

I also see a large portion of iswm in general as a really messed up retelling of wkm that’s been retold and reset so many times it’s become a completely new and different thing. This isn’t saying that every iswm character is supposed to symbolize every wkm character, but at one point, SOME were vaguely based off of marks interpretation of his wkm friends. It’s kinda like an answer to the ship of Theseus.

Anyways, One of the things we see as the captain is mark being stuck with the warp core where we watch him tweak out and slowly build the warp core up again which makes that chain reaction that sets off kinda everything that happens in iswm. I’m saying this cuz I like thinking it’s a parallel to actor mark creating his vengeance plan against William and stuff. I see it that way because both engineer marks and actor mark were stuck in isolation for forever, and they couldn’t die, so they were miserable. AND AND AND, both marks FIRMLY BELEIVED their closest friend (engie’s being the captain and mark’s being William) were ACTUALLY EVILLL AND THEY WANTED TO STOP THEM . The creation of the warp core and the poker night both came from this crazed and desperate guy who convinced himself that what he was doing, despite it being bound to hurt people, was the right thing to do.

The only difference between engie and actor tho is that engineer mark felt actually so terrible after he realized that he was in the wrong, while actor mark genuinely CANT see that he even COULD be wrong.

MEANWHILEEE Wilford’s in iswm, it doesn’t matter why, he’s just kinda doing whatever. I like thinking that at one point Wilford would’ve seen engineer mark at his lowest. Wilford, being actually so sad and stupid as a character, would see actor mark in engineer mark. Like he sees a lot of iswm characters like if they were just wkm characters in silly costumes. This is a coping mechanism cuz deep down Wilford KNOWS he’s not talking to his old friends at all.

Just like in WMLW, I think Wilford would want to try to make amends with actor mark , but actor really REALLY hates Wilford, so this could never happen. Until Wilford meets engineer mark yayyyyyyy 😛😛

So then Wilford tries saying sorry for everything and I miss you and whatever to who he thinks is his ex best friend and little brother (I hc them as step brothers) but it’s just engineer mark being like “..ok…🤨”

BUT THEN ALSO LAST THING LAST THING, since Wilford caught engie at such a low point in his life he would feed into Wilford’s delusions because engineer mark (just like actor for a time) is completely alone and has nobody. And since engineer mark is like actor marks space self insert, and mark put a lot of his personality into engineer mark, engie feels a familiar resentment to Wilford but also a familiar longing to hear him out and he doesn’t know why and probably never will and when engineer mark realizes and accepts that he’s in the wrong which breaks the cycle of actor marks self destruction infliction of pain into everybody else, JUST WHEN EVERYTHING IS OVER AND ENGINEER MARK FINALLY GETS A BETTER LIFE OUT OF THAT DAMN SHIP, he might not even remember who told him whatever he had to hear at his lowest, but he’ll remember that whoever they were, they helped him a little. maybe. just a bit..

Warnings: gender neutral reader, multiple mentions of the survival horror game Five Nights at Freddy (no spoilers for any of the games though)

A/N: I was finally able to get the fnaf core collection from Walmart that I've been eyeing for like a year and while I've temporarily put aside my Nintendo switch so I won't keep getting the shit scared out of me I decided to write something with some of my favorite characters because a) I want to and b) I can. Is this a niche concept? Yes, but so are all the characters I've chosen for this (and I've only just realized they're all women but I refuse to apologize for it)

Allison Reynolds

She already knew about the game before you told her. In a modern au (which is what this is) she's definitely the weird kid that's obsessed with fnaf, nightcore, creepypasta, etc.

Owns all of the games, including several books and plushies. You're not sure whether they were gifts or if she bought them herself (or if she stole them)

Loves to watch you play, always letting out a small shriek followed by excited giggles whenever you get jumpscared. She's incredibly good, often winning even the most difficult nights on the first try

Watches lore videos and gameplays on YouTube with you while snuggled up in her bed (Matpat and Markiplier are obviously her favorites)

If she knows you have a favorite character she'll go out of her way to get something with them for you. Her favorite character is Marionette/The Puppet

Phoebe Buffay

She saw some of your fnaf stuff and innocently asked what it was from, not knowing your cute little plushies had such a dark backstory

It scares the hell out of her at first, but in a good way. She likes watching you play while cheering you on from the sidelines, occasionally asking questions or swearing at one of the characters when they jumpscare you

Eventually she ends up trying it out for herself, doing surprisingly good from all the times she watched you. Until she ran out of power, that is, and was immediately killed

Probably ends up writing a song about it and singing it at the coffee shop, much to everyone's dismay

"There was once a purple guy who watched children die, they were stuffed in a metal suit and no one knows why-"

Also her favorites are Bonnie and Monty Gator because they play the guitar like her and she automatically thinks they're really cool just because of that

Remy "Thirteen" Hadley

Another ex weird kid who played the games for sure. She's also a champ at them, and will usually give you pointers whenever she watches you play

The type to have serious discussions with you over the lore at any time or place, regardless of whether it's the right environment or not. One time you were talking about it at the hospital during lunch and Kutner overheard. Poor guy was traumatized

Her favorites are Circus Baby and Michael Afton because of how much she strangely relates to them. Springtrap is her worst enemy and she will make it known at any possible time she can bring it up. She hates him so much that whenever she plays the third game it's just her swearing at him the entire time

She also hates Balloon Boy (who doesn't) but it's less of a visceral hatred and more of a "Oh great, this guy again"

Like I said before, she's a champ at them BUT she's also incredibly competitive and will rage quit if she loses more than two times in a row

Gomez! Master/Missy

"Humans are so cute, aren't they? Actively seeking out things that scare them, then acting surprised when they get frightened" <- her exact words when she saw you playing the game for the first time and after you explained it to her

In all honesty, while she does find it cute in a slightly condescending way, she feels like that for pretty much anything humans are interested in, so I wouldn't take it personally

The lore both fascinates and delights her, and she could spend hours listening to you explain it. In fact, I'd go so far as to say she likes that more than the actual games themself

That's not to say that she doesn't enjoy watching you play, because she does. Something about the adrenaline rush and the need to last until six o'clock followed by getting jumpscared out of nowhere is thrilling to her. She might even ask to play herself if she's in a good enough mood, though she will throw a small tantrum if she loses just an FYI

Ballora is her favorite- why? I think it's because of how eery she is. Like, she's somewhat of a mother figure, but there's something off about her. Also it's just the vibes man idk

Being friends with Kayn includes lots of text messages from him. Sometimes you two text each other for hours, other times he has to run cause he’s busy. If you text him before he does after he says he has to do something, you’ll probably be speaking to Rhaast. There’s a 50/50 chance that he’ll stay and chat for a while or he’ll say he can’t chat cause he’s still working.

Sometimes he doesn’t get back to you for a few days. If you’re lucky, he’ll message you within hours. If it is taking him a few days, there’s a good chance you may need to check up on him. Sometimes he loses himself when he’s too focused on working.

On some nights, you two video call on Discord while you’re both working. You may or may not end up getting sidetracked by playing a video game together. FPS, horror, or survival horror. So games like Left 4 Dead, Dying Light, Lethal Company, and even Halo are up there. As long as there’s co-op, you’ll be playing. Sometimes, one of you will share your screen so the other can watch. Games like The Mortuary Assistant, Resident Evil, Alien: Isolation, and Outlast are pretty good.

Going to each other’s concerts isn’t always a guarantee, but both of you try. Not to mention, the paparazzi will be annoying to deal with once people start to realize one of you is at the other’s concert.

Kayn’s not against introducing you to Akali. There’s a good chance she’s heard of you and probably listens to some of your works, so it’s a win. And so, you, Kayn, and Akali are all in a group chat where you just kinda laugh at some hate comments each of you get. It’s especially funny when the thread just keeps going with people arguing. It’s very tempting to go and leave a comment in the argument just to see how it’d go, especially since Kayn would actually try to get you and Akali to say something. Luckily neither of you actually did it. Imagine the articles and posts on social media that would be made about it…

Since this is before Kayn joined Heartsteel, Kayn does sometimes send you some of his works. You know, the ones that were never made public. He knows you accept both him and Rhaast, so think of it as his appreciation for it. Sometimes Rhaast sends ones that Kayn didn’t send yet, but in return, he wants a sneak peek at one of your own.

On that topic, you’ve kept up to date with what his old band has been up to, both before and after he was no longer a part of it. It wasn’t on purpose, it just shows up on your recommended time to time. There was some discourse, and then after Kayn was no longer there, things seemed to take a bit of a turn for the worst for both him and the band. The band was struggling and Kayn’s reputation crashed. Him not releasing his songs to the public didn’t help, but he had his reasons for that. You were in no position to pry, so all you can really do is continue supporting him.

The idea for a collab was always up there even if you’re running solo or not, but it never actually happens because Kayn and Rhaast always have drafts piled up. Rhaast just thinks it’d be pretty fun to do. But seriously, they do need to finish up their own works. A collab is the last thing he needs to add to his list right now.

Sometimes invites you to liven up an alley he found, or a wall in an abandoned building. If you have an idea for his idea, say it. He knows if you’ve got something in mind anyway, so it’d be better to just say it because he’d pester you about it. You’ll probably even notice he brings a little sketchbook sometimes. Also, those spray paints were totally not Akali’s. If you have paint as well, he’ll be taking those too. If you find some missing, you know who to interrogate. Don’t expect him to admit it though.

If you’re the one inviting him, he doesn’t mind if he just watches or pitches in an idea or two. Knowing him, he won’t always just sit and watch. He also doesn’t want you holding back on your artistic ability, so please, go all out and experiment if you have to. Not giving it your all, especially in front of him, is almost insulting to him.

Do you guys get caught? Maybe sometimes. The chase is always fun though. Well, maybe not all the time, but you can still look back at the memory and laugh a bit.

Kayn has one or two of your songs in his little private playlist. Will he ever tell you? Nope.

Sometimes the media goes overboard with your relationship with him. It’d be nice to debunk all of their theories and speculations, but Kayn insisted you let them go at it cause it’s funny. Admittedly, it was. Every small thing was “a hint.” There are some that take some “signs” differently and start wars between both of your fans. Still rather entertaining, but it did feel more concerning. Some fans can be pretty crazy. Usually, those little wars fix themselves within a few weeks if you’re lucky. Maybe months.

If it does come to it, Kayn won’t stop you from posting something in response to hopefully calm things down. Hell, he might even make a post himself. His wording might be a bit aggressive though.

Heizou was the first person you came across and the first person to drag you back to Aether after he heard your request. 

Gave him a good laugh then he figured out you weren’t joking.

“I am not attacking you!” “Why not, it’s for science! If a treasure hoarder can handle it, then so can I!”

You had been reluctantly dragged back to Aether after Heizou had just stared at you.

Aether had chewed you out when he had found out, shaking your shoulders.

"You absolute idiot! What is wrong with you!"

That did not deter you, however, you will find your body’s limits.

Itto, bless his heart, was actually willing to go along with it when you said that nothing should go that wrong. He was a bit worried when he found out he had to hit you, but a simple smile had him agreeing to it with little hesitation.

But of course, your plans were once again foiled.

Kuki had rounded the corner right before Itto had swung and was fast enough to tackle you to the ground where Itto’s claymore didn’t reach.

You feel sorry for the talking-to that Itto had gotten to this day

At this point, you weren’t allowed to go anywhere without supervision from a responsible individual.

So obviously, you found a way to sneak away from whoever was watching to find a safer option.

Little Sayu had been confused, to say the least, but had put a finger to her mouth in thought then shrugged before preparing her ‘attack’

Granted, she healed, so the only attack there was was you getting hit in the face with her Daruma(Idk man i looked at the wiki)

Aether did find out unfortunately, but that was to be expected from the large bruise on one side of your face. And boy was he mad.

“Are you fucking kidding me.” “Where did you learn that–oh.”

You think he’s this close from just chaining you to him until he can trust you. 

Yoimiya? Nope, she had made a large x with her arms when you opened your mouth to ask. She had apologized with custom fireworks so you let it slide.

Sara? Also no, she came up to you and handed you an official decree for you to see a therapist while looking you in the eye. She had looked the most worried and said that she would be willing to help if need be.

You’re finding it really hard to explain to them that you’re just finding your limits, so you just nod and ask if she wants to go with you.

You know whether or not you’d live an attack just from seeing it in the distance. You only went to Itto out of curiosity. 

But you will not go up to Yae Miko or Ei and ask them to attack because you’re very aware that you would die.

They both seemed to notice that you had this revelation and would scold you(with humor in Yae Miko’s place) about how reckless you’re being.

Reckless is asking the electro archon to attack you.

You’re not doing that sooooo–

When Aether had taken you to the Kamisato estate to visit the siblings, the thought of asking them hadn’t even crossed your mind. 

Ayato was a big no with his abilities and Ayaka’s attack was just too ridiculous for you to survive. Thoma, however….

Aether could probably hear your thoughts by now because he had looked at you with a ‘don’t even think about it’

So you had sighed disappointedly, nodded, and ignored the bright look that Aether gave you while shaking your arm encouragingly. 

Why do these people think you want to die? For some reason, Paimon of all people gets it but it’s not like she can do anything against Aether’s wrath so she just sits back and giggles as you suffer.

You step into the Kamisato, are asked to introduce yourself and are immediately whisked away when you do. Aether had kinda just stood there, waving smugly as you struggled against the ladies pulling you towards another room.

Ayaka had been in said room, waiting with her hand maidens as they suffered through various clothes. 

You had then been pampered by your friend and her workers for the next hour or so. Ayaka stayed close to you and talked about she felt so glad to have you as a friend and to promise to go to the next festival with her. 

Next door, Thoma had been grilling Aether and Paimon about symptoms on your mental health. He sighed with relief every time he heard something good and silently promised himself to keep his pyro vision on a tighter leash around you. 

He also had given you a ‘don’t even think about it’ look when you entered the room with the question on your lips, patting your back comfortingly as you deflated. 

When Ayato had joined you all to eat dinner that night, it was actually you who had said ‘hell no’ when he offered to assist you, missing the way that everyone else at the table except you and Ayato (And Paimon who was stuffing her face at the time) had silently cheered.

That was the day they learned you had a sliver of common sense in you.
