me, insane: omg my project is so hilson coded
#context: my degree is in immunology & infection. and Technically for the infection component we’re working on CMV#so not only am i in what is partially a placenta lab (okay phannie) (i dont actually work w them tho) it IS obstetrics/gynaecology so like#reprosci. but specifically. well i was talking to the postdoc that’s teaching me to do qPCR and she was saying her other PI is faculty head#of oncology#and TECHNICALLY we’re working on cancer tbh. specifically how CMV contributes to the genesis/modulation of cancer#so like. even that alone is hilson coded lowkey#and to add onto the house stuff bc i can LOL#idk if it ACTUALLY is bc tbh the lab looks so empty#but the lab where the nanodrop and the qPCR machine are. the nameplate said nephrology#so in essence <3 i still sound insane but this is so hilson coded 🤪#mandont
