hello chat i started persona 5 in august... was promptly hit by an akechi curse which lined up with when i started drawing again funny enough.

I feel like Akechi was probably on a constant super-strict diet when he was living under his Detective Prince persona, you know, gotta keep that waist trim to look "perfect" on TV. Not to mention that I'm pretty sure that it's canon that he doesn't really eat well. He's totally the kind of person who'd throw himself into his own plans and goals and wouldn't look after his physical body; Hell, he would probably think he's above that, that he can pull through just thanks to his will alone, and overcome any physical discomfort or weakness.

So during that infamous pancakes scene, maybe he was telling the truth; Maybe he really did skip lunch and he was hungry. He overheard someone talking about panckes, the most basic part of his brain relised how starved he was, and he absentmindedly mentioned food to the group without thinking; Not to mention that hunger could also bog down his thought process and attentiveness.

Idk, I guess that I'd find it compelling if it was such a basic biological need that did him in in the end. No matter how much he schemed and planned, he was a human in the end, an animal who is driven by simple needs and desires. He neglected that part of himself, thinking his brilliance, his "higher" self alone will let him achieve his goals, but in the end it was that "primitive" part of him that he trivialized that pulled him down and undid all of his hard work.

The concept of Akechi and the Niijima being siblings is so funny because Makoto is actually two months older than Goro. You just know she would pull rank and play up her "responsible and sensible onee-chan" side. Depending on whether they grew up together, Goro could either have a soft spot for her act, or he could be the nastiest, meanest little brat about it.

thinking about how ren would probably have so many silly pet names for akechi (i think kechi would be his favourite) and akechi would always pretend to get pissed off about it but deep down he would secretly LOVE IT just because it was coming from ren

I have a headcanon that this is exactly how Ren acts/sounds when he's drunk... Just kinda chill and sleepy, docile almost, mumble-singing random bits of songs that would come to his head or someone would sing near him, chuckling at random things, losing his train of thought randomly, attempting (and failing) to joke, being very affectionate in a genuine way... Very plesant and non-problematic to be around, all things considered. Once again, a complete 180 from his metaverse self.

And, of course, he WOULD also say "I love you so much Goro, you know that, right? T's true. T's true.

I FINISHED THE MONONOKE MOVIE AND SERIES AND I THINK I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT.

anyways, had an idea of putting femkechi in mononoke but something's up with her.

she's found by a kusuriuri after escaping a mansion. her clothes are just scraps that only barely cover the essentials and her hands are chained closely together with another chain connecting to her neck. they take her in. they offer clothes and to take off the chains.

she accepts the clothes. she refuses to take off the chains.

she does not know who she is anymore. is she the monster prowling the tunnels of mementos? is she the princess who was paraded around to give good pr to the police? is she the scared child who grieves the loss of her mother? is she just the mindless servant who serves the cruel mistress she ran from? she doesn't know who she is, so that is why the chains must stay.

she follows the kusuriuri. she knows she will not be with them forever, it's merely a temporary partnership. but it doesn't matter, she feels safe with them. she won't be able to harm anyone else with them around.
