…tfw war changes you and you come back different, broken and no longer wanting the things you fought for / instead having to accept that your past self and your past desires are dead, so you start anew with your best friend who really was just your best friend / but he changed too, past self & desires gone and dead, and now he’s the only one who understands you & you fall in love but it makes you both sad and angry and confused because this wasn’t how it was supposed to go :/
