i put a new art in the queue but it's such a healthy queue now that it'll be weeks before it gets out and i'm thinking to myself. why not post all my new drawings now. why spread them out
#oh yeah#so i don't flood the tag#i want attention but not that badly#personal#rambles#which means it'll be like a month before you see my favorite drawing ever. MY FAVORITE DRAWING I'VE DONE EVER.#my favorite thing about it is that i finished it and didn't like it so i unfinished and refinished it and it's genuinely better now#i always get so impressed watching speedpaints of beautiful works#where they just keep redrawing a specific part of the image until it looks right#because i rarely have that patience slash tenacity#something else i envy is when they resize a piece of the image without redrawing it#i can't do that because i hate aliasing#i like the crispest art you've ever seen#i'd work in vectors if i could#but the next thing i want to work on is line width#working with consistently applied intentional line widths will elevate my pieces#after that i'll stop using pure black for my finished lineart and add a step where i make the outlines colorful#which will make ponies in particular look MUCH nicer
