#my art #jujutsu kaisen #jjk #jjk fanart #jujutsu kaisen fanart #jjk art #yuji itadori #megumi fushiguro #itafushi #fushiita #yuuji #megumi #cries megumi fought tooth n nail..... i refused 2 flip the canvas tho >:(#i vastly prefer drawing him facing right bc fr some reason it makes his hair look better silhouette-wise #so having him face left is alr a Challenge #but also having him slightly look down (difficult angle + changes the silhouette) had me bashing my head in2 th TABLE #same thing happened earlier this month w gardening megu middle pose . i did not learn my lesson #but even worse w this one yuuji's head is blocking th main pointy part tht basically carries the entirety of the shape language #u can imagine my distress i am sure #anyway th render made me a lot happier with it thank god. colours hard carry bless <3333 #i didn't plan on making it a full sheet but i needed 2 remind myself that im good at drawing megumi #so i threw in solos of each of them n tried slightly different render flavours #idk how Different all of them look visually but th process fr each ws Very different so i am satisfied #fight aside this ws useful i think! got 2 break out some Clunkier chalks n dust off a few of my smoother blended brushes #think i picked up some things i can keep also !! which ws. u kno. the Goal #tbh every time i do art studies i feel like i am kirby #one time i got called an art ditto by one of my fav artist mutuals when i did a style challenge #SUCH high praise from her it lives in my mind i take it out on days when i feel like trash #it doesnt Sound good when u say u r good at copying but real talk it is such a good skill i am very happy 2 have it in my arsenal

#principal skinner pride flag for my gay little dogs #you see this is why my dog people need to see the same spectrum of colors we do #I feel like their literal world view would be drastically altered if they couldn't distinquish between orange and green #I'd argue that red is a significant color in practically every culture #it's instinctual associations with danger food and fertility make it attention grabbing on a visceral monkey brain level #I strongly suspect the impact would be at least somewhat negated if it was a muted brownish khaki instead #meaning it wouldn't be used in visual communication nearly as much #I would have to center my art and worldbuilding more around yellow and blue because those would be the colors the dogs would see clearly #right? is that sound logic?#and that would just make me immensely sad because warm colors are my favorites :<#answered #m0notropa-uniflora #something that continues to boggle my mind is that there are animals that see more colors than humans #we like to assume that our color vision is the best we can see it ALL look at that rainbow there that's the full set #yes primates are well equipped in this regard compared to many other mammals like dogs #but most birds for example have more color receptors in their eyes they have more tools to work with and their rainbow is even wider #it's like sound everyone knows we can't hear sounds that are impossibly low or too high #and we can't process wavelengths of light that are too long (infrared) or too short (ultraviolet)#only what lands between those bookends (called the visible spectrum) reads to our human eyes as “light” and subsequently “color”#I hope I've understood this correctly I'm trying to say that there's a whole layer of vision we don't have the hardware to get access to #and that's just wild to me like we are fundamentally unable to imagine a new color that isn't already included in our built-in selection #but they're definitely there the unimaginable colors are in the room with you and a common pigeon can see them #uv dlc not available for your system

aka madrone, madrona, arbutus

the largest member of the heather family growing up to 80 feet and living up to 300 years, also related to rhododendrons, heathers, blueberries and cranberries, the pacific madrone is a light loving native to the pacific northwest coast of america. it is the largest flowering tree of the ericaceae family that blooms in may and produces bright red berries that ripen in autumn and last until december. it has cinnamon colored bark that at times can peel with the lightest wind. also referred to as arbutus, it‘s name directly translates to “strawberry“, referring to the color of its berries that were gathered and eaten by the coastal salish tribes. the tannin rich berries are quite astringent and were described by multiple sources to have been utilized by the salish people as a wound wash and a gargle for sore throats. i plan to experiment with the berries and bark to figure out what sources mean by treating “stomachache“, i would assume it would treat a hot damp state versus a cold dry one, being related to heather. the berries were also strung as beads and used as bait for steelhead fishing and are mentioned in the oral traditions of the salish people. madrona is a hardwood prized by woodworkers and wood stove enthusiasts alike. above, you can see me peeling some bark by hand, which i’d like to add, does not harm the tree. i hope you enjoy this bark peeling as much as i did.

#neku sakuraba #the world ends with you #twewy #my art #rindos there for height reference but i dont think thats enough to warrant tagging #god bless him though #ok. well here comes the tag ramble as per usual #i wanted the colors of his tails to be representative of his partners rather than himself #since kitsunes gain their tails through time and experience.. and represent wisdom...i feel like...#those formative three weeks are so important that they color his soul for the rest of time #then the headphones thing is because i wanted to keep the hear no evil thing but still tie it to the fox idea #so since foxes are sometimes depicted worshipping the moon i included that visual into his design #umm and then he has that wispy fire stuff because pyrokinesis ON TOP but also its his first pin lol #speaking of the tails i obv put a waveform cuz the first kanji in neku means sound #but the base of it i kinda wanted to evoke the barrel of a gun since theyre so instrumental in changing his fate #via getting shot... I love the headcanon of toons being able to innately speak in Dings. although I think maybe only the older toons can do it, at least the ones made before sound in movies was a popular thing and they had to learn English. Mickey and Os probably do it they want to be mysterious, heh

Like, these are all the same color according to English

Why??? None of these are even CLOSE to one another, nevermind the same!!!

At no point should the top left one be in the same category as the bottom middle or bottom right. They aren’t even close

I could go on but I do unfortunately have actually important things to do so I’ll leave it here now, but seriously we really really need more basic color categories

#I’m super synesthesic so basically everything corresponds to at least one color #words. sounds. people. everything #emotions are the big one though and that really benefits from a stupid-specific color label #there’s difference between happiness and excitement is goldenrod and electric lemon and that doesn’t work if it’s just yellow and yellow #but it also means it’s really hard to explain because I mean like ‘towel purple’ which is a reddish desaturated slightly lighter eggplant #which very much isn’t lavender or bright purple or eggplant itself #those are entirely different feelings #but I can’t explain that without like an entire visual color dictionary because there just aren’t many words to refer to color specifics #I should make one of those though. that’d be nice #but point is I need more words
